Leaving to mourn his son Raymond and wife Donna; two daughters: Barbara and husband Frank Linegar, Edith and husband Tom Coady; ten grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; brothers: Gerald and wife Mary, Harry and wife Margie; two sisters: Margaret Grant and Ann (Nan) Stevenson; sister-in-law Florence Kinsella, Sudbury, Ontario; also other relatives and friends. Resting at Caul`s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road. Visitation Thursday from 7 p.m. - 10 p.m. and Friday from 10 a.m. - 10 p.m. Funeral Mass on Saturday, August 3rd, 2002 at 9:30 a.m. from St. Teresa`s Church. KAVANAGH, Jim - passed away peacefully at the Royal Victoria Hospital in Barrie after a brief battle with Cancer on Tuesday, March 18, 2003, in his 64th year. Jim was the beloved husband of the late Florence Kavanagh. Dear father of Rod and wife Lisa and loving pop of Connor. Jim will be remembered by his sisters Ann and Joan and brothers Gordon, Clarence, and Brian. He is survived by his father Jim. Funeral took place in Innisfil, Ontario.

HALL, Douglas E. - Passed peacefully away at the Palliative Care Unit after a courageous battle with cancer, Douglas Ewart Hall, age 66 years. Leaving to mourn his loving and devoted wife, Beatrice; his children: Connie (Paul Brown), Peter (Dorothy), Michael (Michelle) and David (June); six grandchildren: Katherine, Jonathan, Zachary, Sarah, Laura and Andrew; brothers: Keith (Joan), Clarence (Vala) and sister Joan (Gord Sweeney); brother-in-law Jim Monster (Mary); sister-in-law Elizabeth (Matt Warren); a large circle of nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends, as well as friends and members of the A.F.A.C. Club. Resting at Carnell`s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road with visitation on Saturday and Sunday from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service to take place on Monday, October 06, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. from St. Thomas` Anglican Church with cremation to follow. DUNNE, Thomas I. - Passed suddenly away at his home in Renews on Thursday, Oct. 2, 2003. Age 75 years. Predeceased by his parents, John and Elizabeth Dunne, two brothers, John and Patrick, three sisters, Jenny, Rita and Mary, and son-in-law, James O`Neill. Leaving to mourn his wife of 50 years, Nora Dunne (Heffernan), five sons, Noel (Madeline), Earl, Tommy, (Mary), Derrick (Eunice), Roddy (Tina), five daughters, Catherine (Paul), Beth (Vince), Tina (Loyola), Rhonda (Ken), Alvina (Keith), nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild, and large circle of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Remains resting at Fahey`s Funeral Home, Fermeuse. Visitation on Friday, Oct. 3, Saturday, Oct. 4 and Sunday, Oct. 5 from 2-10 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, Oct. 6, 2003 at 10 a.m. from Holy Apostles Church, Renews. DUNNE, Thomas Patrick - Passed peacefully away in his sleep, at St. Clare`s Mercy Hospital, on October 1, 2003. Thomas Patrick Dunne, retired after twenty-five years of Military Service, age 75 years. Predeceased by his parents and some brothers and sisters. Left with fond and loving memories, his wife Lillian; daughter Pauline and grandson Kristian of Vancouver, BC; brothers: Patrick (Ella), Kevin (Margaret), Toronto; sister Kathleen (Bill) Ballestra, Camillus, New York. A special thank you to the doctors and nurses of 7 East at St. Clare`s Mercy Hospital. Cremation has taken place. Funeral Service on Saturday, October 4th, 2003 at 3:00 p.m. from Caul`s Funeral Home Chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Newfoundland Cancer Research and Treatment Foundation.

COSTELLO, Ignatius - passed away suddenly at his home in Conception Harbour on June 22, 2003, Ignatius Costello, aged 50 years. Predeceased by his father James, 1983, and his brother Douglas, 1987. Ig leaves to mourn his loving and devoted mother, Elizabeth, nine sisters: Patricia Slaney (Albert), Leona Meaney (Albert), Rosemarie (special friend Jimmy), Bernadette Murray (Joseph), Lorraine Ezekiel (Lenny), Edith Wade (Larry), Daphne Lewis (John), Sheila Dalton (Jimmy), Joanne (special friend Tom); one brother, Jerome (Carmel); 32 nieces and nephews; and 14 great-nieces and great-nephews (also special nephew Clarence, with whom he resided); and numerous other relatives and friends. Ig was a member of Local 203 International Brotherhood of Boilermakers. Resting at Conway`s Funeral Home, Conception Harbour. Funeral mass Wednesday, June 25, 2003, at 10 a.m. at St. Anne`s Church, Conception Harbour. Interment to follow at St. Anne`s Cemetery. COSTELLO, Wilfred - Passed peacefully away at his home in Ferryland on Sunday, August 4, 2002, in his 88th year. Predeceased by his wife Mary on May 29, 2000. BYRNE, Bernard Joseph - Passed peacefully away in the presence of some family members at the Health Sciences Centre on Friday, January 24, 2003. He was predeceased by his parents William and Bridget, and grandson Michael. Leaving to mourn his loving wife Laura of 57 years. and children Maude (Frank), Madonna (Edward), Antonia, Donald (Ida), Victor (Lucy), George (Alice), Kevin (Donna), Bernard (Gertie), Barry (Bertha), Jacinta (Richard), Goretti (Gary), Terry, Jude (Delight), Millicent (Bernie), Andrew (Karen), William (brother Bill). He will also be remembered and sadly missed by 35 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and numerous friends and relatives. He will be resting at Sacred Heart Parish Church in Conche. BRENNAN, Glen P. - Passed peacefully away on June 10, 2001 in Virginia Beach, Virginia, Glen P. Brennan, age 35. Born in San Diego, California, Glen was a U.S. Army Veteran and worked in sales. He was a member of Star of the Sea Catholic Church. Left to mourn, his wife Lisa Hundley Brennan and one son Ian Patrick. Glen was the son of retired U.S.M.C. Col. Ian Brennan, formerly of Scotland and Maureen Brennan of St. John`s, Newfoundland, now living in Pace, Florida. Glen was the grandson of Josephine Brennan Healey of St. John`s. Glen also had a large circle of aunts, uncles & cousins in Scotland and Newfoundland. He was predeceased by his grandparents, Helen & William Brennan of Scotland and William P. Brennan of St. John`s. Funeral Services took place at 1 p.m. on Friday, June 15 at Little Creek Amphibious Base Chapel with Chaplain Michael A. Diaz officiating.

GILLAM, Mary - Passed away, after a lengthy illness, at her daughter`s residence in Gander, on April 9, 2001, Mary Gillam, aged 89 years. Predeceased by her husband, Emmanuel, in 1984. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories her daughters: Angus, Irene, Jane, Margaret, Mary and Rita; and sons: Charles, James, Joseph, Michael, Robert, William and Craig. PATEY, Jessie Amelia - Passed peacefully away at St. John`s on April 10th, 2001 Jessie Amelia Patey, age 86. Predeceased by husband Norman, 1995. Dear husband for 52 years of Dorothy (Shea); Beloved father of Deborah (Fiore) Vescio, of Niagara Falls, John (Colleen), of Thunder Bay, Cathy (Dan) McCabe, of Tiverton, Elizabeth (Mike) Meredith, Wynnann (Greg Astorino), and Dee Dee, all of Niagara Falls; Loving grandfather of Lisa Vescio, Krista, Jennifer and Kimberly Rose, Ian and Thomas McCabe, Matthew and Jake Meredith, and Josh Astorino, and the late Michael Vescio; Brother of Patricia Byrne, St. John`s, Nfld., Mary (Larry) Leblanc, Pointe Claire, Que., Andrew (Rosemary) Rose, of St. John`s, Nfld., Margaret Rose, of St. John`s, Nfld., Bro. J.A. Rose, of Vancouver, and the late Harold Rose. Tom lived his life guided by the Serenity Prayer, 'God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.' All of us who were blessed to know Tom know his prayer was answered. Tom was a very wise man, who changed what he could, guided and taught others, and had the courage to accept all that was his life. The teacher is gone, but the teachings will stay with us forever. Tom is at the MORSE & SON CHAPEL of the MORGAN FUNERAL HOMES, 5917 Main Street, Niagara Falls, Ontario, where his family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. on Sunday and from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. on Monday. Vigil will be held at the funeral home on Monday afternoon at 2:30 o`clock. Funeral mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of the Scapular Church on Tuesday morning at 11 o`clock. Cremation to follow with private family Interment of the cremated remains at Fairview Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, those who wish may make a memorial donation to either the Kidney Foundation of Canada, the dialysis Unit of Hotel Dieu Hospital or to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
