Loving Nanny of Anthony Lynn Artindale, Zachary Aaron Jessup and William Young. Beloved daughter of Iris & John McGill. Dear sister of Hazel Radek (Ray); Randy Hicks (Carol); and John McGill (Michelle). Sister-in-law of Mervyn Jessup (Barb); Shirley Sheady (the late William); Marilyn Linkie (Ken); Brian Jessup (Sue) and Calvin Jessup (Kathy). August 20, 1920 - January 2, 2006 - With sadness we announce the passing of Mike at Lakeridge Health Oshawa. Born in Ukraine, Mike lived a full life in Oshawa for the last 52 years. Dearly beloved husband of Walentyna (Tina) for 55 years. He was loved & will be missed by his daughters Maria (late William White) & Lesia (Stephen Stanko). Adored Dido of Olanna White, Christine & Michael Stanko. He leaves to cherish his memory his sister Maria Melnyk, brother Daniel, sister-in-law Kataryna & brothers-in-law Michael Pylypczuk & Joe Pylypczuk & their families. His many nieces and nephews will remember his wise counsel with a smile. He will also be remembered by relatives and many friends in Canada, the U.S. & Ukraine. Andy Onyskiw of Port Perry, beloved husband of Anita (nee Boudreau). Loved father of Kevin Onyskiw and his wife Laura of Burlington. Dear brother of John Onyskiw and his wife Ida, Bill Onyskiw (deceased), Kay Pesme, Mary Strome and Eva and her husband Olaf Egge. The family of Andy Onyskiw will receive friends at the WAGG FUNERAL HOME, ''McDermott-Panabaker Chapel'', 216 Queen Street in Port Perry (905-985-2171) on Friday, January 6th from 10-11 a.m. A Service to celebrate his life will be held in the Chapel at 11 a.m. with Father Peter Lackmanec officiating. Peacefully after a lengthy illness at the Credit Valley Hospital in Mississauga on Sunday, January 1st, 2006 with her family by her side at the age of 73. Beloved wife of the late Gaetano Marino. ROSSITER, Marg (Marguerite)
On January 1, 2006, the golfing and curling world lost one of its biggest fans, at Lakeridge Health Oshawa Hospital, due to a stroke. Widow of the late Fred Moore; long term employee of Hilti Canada and enthusiastic member of Streetsville and Calerin Golf Clubs; wonderful mother to Russ Moore and wife Audrey, Karen Houston and partner Peter Kelly. Mom was not only the 87 year old matriarch, but the perfect example of how to live life to the fullest to a large family of grandchildren: Kathy and Robert Brown, Chris and Hiro Urabe, Linda and Jeff Wright, Leslie Levere and Tim Smith, and to her great-grandchildren: Alex and Ian Brown; Tara, Erik, Kyra, and Ryan Urabe; Sara and Hannah Wright; Tyler, Rebecca and Tara Levere and Megan Smith. Mom lived with zest, humour, curiosity, fearlessness and most of all, integrity. She will be greatly missed by all her family including her sister Dorothy, cousin Joyce and others, and many nieces, nephews and friends, especially dear friend Trudy. Her latest joy was her adored kitten Sweetie who brought her comfort and smiles. Thank you to the 8th floor staff at Lakeridge Oshawa for their compassion and care. Cremation has taken place. A private Interment will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in her name to the Canadian National Institute for the Blind, the Salvation Army, or the Humane Society, would be considered an honour by her family and may be made through McINTOSH-ANDERSON FUNERAL HOME, 152 King Street East, Oshawa, L1H 1B6 (905-433-5558). Everyone is invited to celebrate her life at a memorial service to be held at St. Luke's Presbyterian Church, 333Rossland Rd. WORDEN, Sydney Thomas
Peacefully on January 1, 2006, after a brief illness in his 88th year. Beloved husband of 63 years to Kay Worden. Loved father of Tom and his wife Pat, John and his wife the late Gaye, Paula and her husband Doug and Rob Tiger and his wife Karin. Will be deeply missed by his grandchildren: Brad, Beth, Natalie, J.J., Joanna, Kurtis and Christopher. Brother of the late Byron Worden. Fifth generation resident of the family farm in Courtice.
