passed away peacefully in her sleep at home in Courtice on Wednesday June 27, 2007. Beloved wife of Martin Krem for 51 years. Dear mother of Rosalie & her husband Ian Richardson, Michael & his partner Judy Giddy and Susan & her husband Richard Young. She will be truly missed by her grandchildren Jonathan, Michael, Andrew, Christopher, Sabina, Thomas and Athina. At Helen s request, a cremation has take place with a Memorial Service to be announced at a later date. At the request of the family please do not send flowers. Marjorie (nee Balmer), beloved wife of Frederick Skyvington of Lindsay for 60 years. Loved mother of Wendy and her husband Raymond Cook, and Wayne Skyvington and his wife Tammy. Loving grandmother of Darlyne and Steve, Stacy and Bruce, Luke, Tara, Amanda, Laura, Jason and great grandmother of Brandan, Dylan, Hunter, Samantha and Carter. The Family of Marjorie Skyvington will receive friends at the WAGG FUNERAL HOME, McDermott-Panabaker Chapel 216 Queen Street in Port Perry (905-985-2171) on Monday, July 2nd from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Service to celebrate her life will be held in the Chapel on Tuesday, July 3rd at 11 a.m. with Padre Merv Rowan officiating. Peacefully at Ballycliffe Nursing Home on June 27, 2007 in her 86th year. Beloved wife of the late Cornelius Tominey. Dear mother of Liz and husband John. Sadly missed by daughter-in-law Rosemary Tominey. Predeceased by son Neil. Proud grandmother of Steven, Scott and wife Tammy, Rosemary and husband Todd, and Chad and partner Amanda. Visitation was held on Thursday at W.C. TOWN FUNERAL CHAPEL, 110 Dundas Street East, Whitby (905-668-3410). Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, June 30, 2007 at 10:30 a.m. from Holy Family Parish, 91 Ribblesdale Dr., Whitby. Interment to follow at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery, Whitby. (July 3, 1920 June 26, 2007) - Peacefully on June 26, 2007, just one week short of her 87th birthday, Aunty Edna passed away at Fairview Lodge in Whitby. She is now in a happier place with her Mom and Dad and brother and sisters: Audrey Swain, William Bud Hambly and Murielle Norris. Cremation has already taken place. KEYS, William John Gardiner
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of William John Gardiner Keys in his 84th year, on Tuesday, June 26, 2007. He will be sadly missed by many, especially by his sons Ross (Teresa), Bobby (June) and his daughter Kathryn de Vries (Bart) and his loving grandchildren Todd, Christine, Devon and Michael. He is predeceased by his first wife Lera Ross whom he adored. He was extremely fortunate to find true love a second time around when he married Ruby Lanthier from Winnipeg. He gained three more sons and a daughter through this union, Larry (Edna), Donny (Myrna), Melvin (Karen) and June Van Lanker (Ray) and he cherished the many occasions he shared with them. He loved all his family and especially enjoyed spending time at his beloved cottage on Boshkung Lake including all the many friends he made and cherished there. He also enjoyed returning home to his roots around the town of South Mountain where he grew up with many wonderful family and friends and lasting memories. John was a WW II Veteran, graduated from U of T in 1950 as an engineer, spent most of his career at Imperial Oil, and after retirement was a founding partner of the engineering consulting firm J and B Engineering. John loved life, family, friends and learning. The family would like to thank the great staff at the Uxbridge Cottage Hospital for their fabulous care. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Uxbridge Cottage Hospital.

WASEK, Leo
December 10, 1946 June 26, 2007 (Retired, Laurel Steel) Gracefully at home, after a long and courageous battle, with his life partner Karen LeBel at his side; two people who were meant to be together. Lovingly remembered by his children, Michael Haist (Isabelle), of St. Nicephore PQ, Cassandra Jackson (Dwayne), of Brampton, and Victoria Haist (Phillip Scott) of Toronto. Respected and admired by his step-children Shannon LeBel (Jeffery Thibodeau) of Whitby and Shane LeBel (LeeAnn Cannon), of Oshawa. Adored by his grandchildren, Samantha and Tyler Jackson, Laurie and Arianne Haist, and step-grandchildren, Bailey and Caleb Loewenberg. Leo will be sadly missed by the many people whose lives were touched by his remarkably generous spirit and positive outlook. It was his wish that there be no funeral or graveside service. Instead, family and friends are invited to join Karen and family in a celebration of Leo s life from 1-4 pm on Tuesday, July 3rd, at the Oshawa Shrine Club, 1626 Simcoe Street North, Oshawa, Ontario Memories of Leo to be shared at a 2 pm service. Peacefully passed away with her daughter by her side at Lakeridge Health Oshawa on Monday, June 25th, 2007 in her 77th year. Dear wife of the late Earl Bird, loving mother of Claudia Barnes and husband Paul of Whitby, Ontario and Edward Angus and wife Sylvie of Castlegar, B.C. Stepmother of Ken (Eva), Keith (Fronnie), Gordon (Carol) and Gary (Jane). Sister of Jeanne Lalonde (late Omer) and predeceased by her sister Rosalie Piche (Al) and brothers Tom (Marion) and Joe Caron (Isabelle). Sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. DEJEET, Albert (Bert) Ritchie
(1940 2007) Peacefully at Oshawa on Monday, June 25th, 2007 after a short but courageous battle with cancer. Bert leaves his immediate family; wife Liesje de Burger, son Ritch Dejeet, Susan (Sean) Patterson, stepsons Kerry (Kathy) McKenna, and Patrick (Siobhan) McKenna, sister Janice Elloway, brother Anders (Anne) Dejeet, and many nieces and nephews and grandchildren. Bert s lifelong passion for people and communities was evident through both his professional and volunteer roles. As an administrator with Bank of Nova Scotia, University of Waterloo, Deliotte Touche, Memorial University, Durham College and lastly the University of Ontario (UOIT), he guided many to their successes. His years of community involvement included scouting, Big Brothers, Scugog Hydro Commission, and most recently, The Kiwanis Club of Oshawa Durham A.M. and the Durham Region Police Services Board. Bert s gift for hospitality was evident through his love for cooking, fishing, and making maple syrup. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Bert Dejeet Bursary Fund at Durham College or a charity of choice would be appreciated. Visitation will be held at OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West (905-721-1234) on Thursday, June 28 from 2 to 4 and 7-9 P.M. Has gone to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Monday, June 25, 2007 at the age of 75 years. Rose was the loving wife of the late George for 53 years. Loved and adored by her son Robert, her daughter Karen and son-in-law Gord. Lovingly remembered by sisters Anne, Virginia, Hope, Luba, her special niece Merida, and many other friends and family.
