Surrounded by her adoring family at her home in Newcastle ON, Grace in her 83rd year, passed away on Sunday, June 24th, 2007 after a brief battle with Cancer. Beloved and devoted wife of Al for 59 years. Cherished mother to Susan and Steve Layton of Calgary, Gerald and Cathy Hollywood of Newmarket and Neil and Diane Hollywood of Bowmanville. Doting Nana to Jason, Jessica, Melanie, Trevor, Sarah, Rachel, Wendy and Elizabeth. Loving great-grandmother to Jacob, Joshua and Ava. Sadly missed by nephew Ray Gyatt of Toronto, sister-in-law Gladys Grellman of Holiday Florida. Thank you to the team at VHA Home Care and to ''Team Orange'' at Care Partners. At Grace's request, there was a private family Interment Service at Highland Memorial Gardens in Toronto. In lieu of flowers, Grace requested any donations in her memory be sent to Lakeridge Health, Bowmanville.
KEETCH, Allen
(retired 32-year employee of G.M.; associate member of Fellowship Baptist Church, Newcastle and also Gospel Baptist Church in Florida) peacefully at Extendicare Oshawa on Sunday, June 24, 2007, in his 82nd year. Allen, loving husband and best friend of Elsie (nee Dyer) of Wilmot Creek and formerly of Brooklin and Whitby. Dear father of Richard Keetch and his wife Pat of Courtice, Sharon Keetch of Oshawa, Kenneth Keetch and his wife Sue of Oshawa, Carolyn Keetch of Whitby, Catherine Cripps and Timothy Evelyn of Bowmanville. Sadly missed by many grandchildren and two great-granddaughters. Son of the late Golby and Sophia Keetch. Brother of Jean and her husband John Gibson of Huntsville. Allen will be missed by his extended family, friends, neighbors and his four-legged companion Katie Lee. Friends may call at the NEWCASTLE FUNERAL HOME, 386 Mill St. S. KIRKONNELL, Peggy
Born January 15, 1927 in Newport Wales and emigrated to Canada in 1954. She died June 24 2007 after a courageous 3 year battle with cancer. Peggy was the loving wife and best friend of her husband Herb, dedicated mother to David and to her daughter in law Linda and grandmother to Tyler and Zachary. She will be sadly missed by her many friends and will be remembered as a truly giving person. Peggy was a long time employee of Durham College and a past member of the Oshawa Golf Club. Arrangements entrusted to W.C. TOWN FUNERAL CHAPEL, (110 Dundas Street East, Whitby 905-668-3410). It was her wish that there be no funeral or graveside service. Instead of flowers, a donation to any humane society would reflect her love of animals.

LYNCH-PAYNE, Dorothy Rowe
passed away peacefully at Lakeridge Health Bowmanville on Sunday June 24th 2007 in her 95th year. Dear mother of Dennis, Harry and Bernard Lynch, Lucille Shaw, and Catherine Jeanes, Dorothy had fifteen grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. Dorothy taught school in Orono and Woodbridge, music in six rural schools in North Darlington, accompanied the Oshawa Choral Society and played the organ in Newcastle United Church for twenty nine years and taught piano lessons for many years. Dorothy requested that no services are to be conducted for her passing. The family extends appreciation to Dr. Osborne, Dr. Finley and the staff of Lakeridge Health Bowmanville for their care and dedication. Special thanks is given to Janet and Tom Deachman and the staff of Comfortable Alternatives, Bowmanville, for their constant attention and loving care for Dorothy in her last few years. Died at home, Sunday, June 24th, mourned by her family in Germany and in France and here by her daughter and son-in-law, and her many friends. TULLOCK, Dave William
It is with broken hearts and great sadness that the family has to announce that Dave passed away peacefully at home with his family beside him on June 24, 2007. He battled his cancer with amazing courage and always kept his great sense of humor which we all loved. He is our Hero. He leaves behind his loving wife and best friend Shirley. Cherished and much admired father to Rick, Kelly and husband Vince who are going to miss him deeply. Two granddaughters, Jessie and Mandy who became his playmates at their birth and the loving gestures and teasing never stopped. He adored them and they will miss their Geege as he was affectionately called forever. He leaves behind his two loving brothers Joe (Tonie-Marie who predeceased him), Tom and his wife Gwen. His parents Fred and Mary Tullock predeceased him. He will be sadly missed by his sister-in-law Grace Moir and his nephew Doug Hallett and his wife Anne. He will be deeply missed by his nieces Mary-Marie, Lisa, Stacey and great nephew Dawson. He will be always remembered by his childhood friends and fishing buddies Alex McDonald and his wife Laura, and Gary Richardson. Dave retired General Motors with 31 years service. Tom, Mike and Kevin made his work days enjoyable. At Dave s request a Private Family Service was held. Rested at the COURTICE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 1587 Highway #2 Courtice, ON L1E 2R7 (905-432-8484). (Member of Embassy Pentecostal Church, Taunton Rd. W., Oshawa; former secretary of McGibbon, Bastedo, Armstrong & Armstrong, Law Office) At her home, with her family by her side, Gretta has gone to be with her Lord and Saviour on Thursday, June 21, 2007. She was in her 82nd year. Gretta was eldest daughter of the late Herbert and Mary Holderness of Bangor, County Down Northern Ireland. She lived 21 years in Ireland and at the end of W.W.II, married the late David Rees Jones of Caernarvon, N. Wales. They later moved to Colwyn Bay, N. Wales living there for 21 years before coming to Canada in 1967 to live in Oshawa. Their children were all born in Wales; Ruth, David Anthony (Tony), Gareth and Sheila. Following David's passing in 1985, Gretta married Maurice Johnston May 17, 1991. Loving mother of Ruth and her husband Graydon Meek of Hamilton; David Anthony Jones and his wife Mary of Colborne; Gareth Jones and his wife Wanda of Stouffville; Sheila and her husband Pat Murphy of Aurora. Loving Nana to grandchildren Amanda, Nathan. Aaron; Nina, Jonathan; Hannah, Paul, Beth; Alyson, Sarah, and Claire. Also four great grandchildren, Alexandra, Chloe, Owen and Madison (Maddy).
