Bob Moses of Nestleton and formerly of Bobcaygeon and Seagrave, beloved husband of Dorothy (nee Laforge) for 50 years. Loved father of Dan Moses and his wife Wendy of Seagrave, Pete Moses and his wife Jill of Little Britain, Robin and her husband Steve Ashmore of Port Perry, Mike Moses of Little Britain and Karin and her husband Mark Czyruk of Nestleton. Loving grandfather of Matt, Josh, Jen, Jeremy, Jamie, Jonathan, Courtney, Justin, Melanie, Lucas, Colter, Caleb and great grandfather of Jacob, Lucas, Annalise and Brennan. Dear brother of Pat Moses and his wife Mary of Oshawa, Terry Moses and his wife Doris of P.E.I., Roger Moses of Wooler, Joan Hayman of Lochlin and Jim Bevridge of Lagoon City. The Family of Bob Moses will receive friends at the Nestleton United Church on Saturday, July 7th from 10 – 11 a.m. A Service to celebrate his life will be held in the Church at 11 a.m. with Reverend Karen Bursey officiating. VISCONTI, Pietro (Peter)
passed away peacefully at home with his beloved wife Carmella by his side on Saturday June 16 at the age of 74. Loving father of Anna (Newell) Visconti Morgan, Mario Visconti, Irene (Ivan) Kehoe, Pina (Scott) McLeod and his youngest Angela Visconti. Cherished “Nonno” of Matthew, Paul, Megan and Lucas. Peter was from a large family of brothers and sisters both here and in Italy who will be always have him in their hearts. Peter was truly loved by all his brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Dad always measured his wealth not through money but on how many many friends he had that were more like family, in this he knew he was truly blessed. Our precious father is now in heaven with his beloved son Joseph by his side. Resting at the ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME, 124 King St. E. Oshawa with mass of Christian burial at Holy Cross Roman Catholic Church on Thursday June 21st at 10 a.m. followed by Entombment at Resurrection Cemetery. Entered into rest at the Community Nursing Home in Port Perry on Saturday, June 16th, 2007. John White, in his 94th year, was the beloved husband of the late Esther Velma Reesor (2002). Loving father of Carol & Howard Malcolm of Sunderland, Gail & Ron Rogerson of Nova Scotia, Paul & Florence White of Guelph and Marilyn & Adrian Brobbel of Spencerville. Dear brother of Mary Price of Peterborough. Predeceased by sister Virginia Grey and brother Donald White. Dearly remembered by thirteen grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren. A Memorial Celebration Service will be announced and held later in the fall, when the cremated remains of John and his wife Esther will be interred together in the family plot.
BAKER, Beate Veronika
Beate passed away peacefully with dignity and courage with her family by her side at Queensway Carlton Hospital in Ottawa on Friday, June 15, 2007. Beate was the devoted mother of Will and daughter in law Cheryl and the late Kurt and new grandmother to beautiful granddaughter Abby. Daughter of Ilsa Heinrich and the late Gunter Heinrich. She will also be sadly missed by Will and Kurt’s father Bill Baker. Sister of Brigitte Taylor and her children Denise and Henry. Aunt to Brigitte Belton and her husband David and their children Julian, Jeremy and Shania. Beate had a successful and rewarding career as a teacher and spent her last years with the Durham Catholic District School Board and in Bolivia. Over the many years of her teaching career and through her work with OECTA she made many long lasting and rewarding friendships. She will be genuinely missed. Peacefully on Friday, June 15, 2007 at the Versa Care Centre, Uxbridge, in her 91st year. Succumbed to a prolonged battle due to ill health. Predeceased by her loving husband and soul mate Michael Joseph whom she longed to join. Survived by her loving children Patricia (Charles) Hamilton, Mary Jane (Jerry) Janssen, Joe (Mimi) Coyle, Mick (Isobel) Coyle, Kevin (Sonia) Coyle, predeceased by children Marie Baker, Paul, Billy and Cathy. Fondly remembered by her grandchildren Shane, Cathy, Daryl, Michael, Jennifer, Christopher, Joseph Jr., Joshua, Alex, Adam, Tiffany, Paul Jr., and predeceased by Tara Baker. Predeceased by her parents William and Mary Merrick and sister Mahala (Frank) Gallagher, and brother Basil (Ruby) Merrick. Mass to celebrate Teresa's life will be held at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church (70 Toronto St. North) on Monday, June 18, 2007 at 10:30 a.m. Interment Sacred Heart Cemetery. Peacefully on Friday, June 15, 2007 at Fairview Lodge in her 88th year. Beloved wife of the late William Bradey Irvine. Loving mother of Robert (Darlene) Irvine of Oshawa and Jannette (Alistair) McKean of Whitby. Cherished "Granny" to Stewart, Billy, Ryan (Lorrie), Scott (Kella), Shirley, Karyne (Robbie) and Jennifer. Barbara is predeceased by her sons and daughters: Billy, Edith, Barbara and Stewart. She will be sadly missed by all of her family and friends. KAAKE, Lawrie Edwin
After a valiant and courageous battle at the age of 78, passed away peacefully on Friday June 15, 2007 surrounded by loving family, at Lakeridge Health Oshawa. Lawrie predeceased by his wife and life-long companion Shirley. Dearly loved by his children Kerry, Jeff and Claire. Cherished grandpa of Jason (Jen), Shaun, Adam, Callum, Colin, Brier and great grandpa of Justin and his dog Chipper. Brother of Jeanne, Bev and Earle (Val). Will be greatly missed by all of his nieces and nephews. Lawrie was always referred to as either, "One of the few true gentlemen" or "The nicest man you could ever meet". Special thanks to Len, Mary and Beth Ferguson for all their loving support and friendship and to the nursing staff on 6F for their fabulous care and compassion. The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in Lawrie's name to R.S. McLaughlin Durham Regional Cancer Centre.

Born in Northern Ireland on April 23, 1946, he passed away peacefully on Friday, June 15, 2007. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife Elizabeth, sister Eleanor (Fred) McClenaghan, niece and nephews Linda, Sean, Garry and Michael. He was predeceased by his brother Ronnie Long. Brian was a former employee of Canada Post and the Town of Ajax, Parks and Recreation. He was a veteran in the Canadian Army, PPCLI. Our precious husband, father, grandfather, teacher, role model, friend, traveller, scholar, craftsman, and gardener joined the Lord in glory on June 15, 2007 (Uxbridge), in his 81st year. The prayers of God's people sustained Don and his family through the medical challenges of the past year.
