Loving mother of Stephen Salter and his wife Jeanette Matthews and the late Robert Salter, and mother-in-law of Nancy. Lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Lesley Ann Salter, Ashley-Leigh Salter (Paul), Clint Salter, Todd Salter, Jeffrey Salter, Chad Salter and her great-grandchildren. Born in Renfrew, Scotland on March 7th, 1929. She passed away peacefully on August 28th, 2007 at Lakeridge Health, Oshawa. Lovingly remembered by her husband Stanley Kenneth. She will be greatly missed by her children; Dave and his wife Rita, Kevin and his wife Debbie and grandchildren Kykle, derek, Justyne and Bronwyn, her niece Vivienne and husband Mario Crespi and their children Allan and Michelle. Predeceased by her siblings; Stella (Walter), Samuel (Betty) and Alfred (Bunty). Resting at MEMORIAL CHAPEL BROOKLIN, 5295 Thickson Rd. N. Brooklin/Whitby from 7-9 p.m. Thursday. Born August 29th, 1910 in Amsterdam, Holland. passed away on August 28th 2007 at Fairview Lodge, Whitby. Moved to Canada in August 1956 with his wife and three children, Predeceased by son Evert, son Harm Jr., and loving wife, Kate. Survived by daughter-in-law Margaret, daughter Tobi (Bert Burbach) and son John (Gail Jubb) and by many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Fondly remembered by one brother and two sisters in Holland and by many nieces and nephews. A private family service was held at the W.C. Our mother passed away on Monday August 27th, 2007 at Lakeridge Health Oshawa after a valiant fight lasting over 12 years with Alzheimer s. She has gone to join her husband John in Heaven (predeceased August 24th, 1997). Dearly loved by daughter Ria and her husband Jim Meenan, and son Kees (Keith) and his wife Rhoda. Predeceased by her eldest son Maarten (September 20th, 1954). Survived by granddaughters Donna and Linda (Adam). Predeceased by her beloved son-in-law Bill Weatherall and her only grandson Shawn Weatherall. FOSTER, Frances Lillian
One great lady; one life well lived. Frances retired from the Whitby Psyciatric Hospital where she worked as an occupational therapist for 29 years. A leader, a woman of faith. Frances also worked at the D.I.L plant in Ajax during the war. She was a hard worker and a great inspiration to all who knew her. Frances leaves behind her loving daughter and best friend Carol (Fred) Weir, predeceased by her loving husband Alvin Foster , daughter Johanna Brough and son Burton Foster and Grandson Andy Brough. Frances also leaves behind her sister Blanche, son-inlaw Bill Brough (Diane) and daughter inlaw Norma Foster , she was a grandmother to 14 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and 3 great great Grandchildren. She will be sadly missed by all. Frances passed away peacefully on August 25, 2007 in her 90th year at Ajax Pickering Hospital with family by her side. She was an inspiration to many; always giving, sharing and lending a hand. Her radiant smile & her sparkling eyes conveyed her love of life. What a legacy she left! There is a celebration of Frances life at the W.C. TOWN FUNERAL CHAPEL 110 Dundas Street East, Whitby, Ontario on September 4th 2007 with visitation starting at 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 with a service to follow. There will be a reception at the Whitby Baptist Church at 411 Gilbert St. East Whitby after the service where she was a long-term member.
