Peacefully at the Ajax-Pickering Health Centre on August 17, 2007 in her 90th year, surrounded by her family and friends. Beloved wife of the late Kenneth Lee Merrill. Longtime resident of Whitby, Ontario. Member of the Whitby Seniors Activity Centre, former member of the Oshawa Seniors Centre and of the Port Perry Yacht Club. Fondly remembered by Thelma (Alex), Brenda (Stephen), Rhoda, Missy, Bob and Brian and numerous friends. Mrs. Merrill will be resting at the W.C. TOWN FUNERAL CHAPEL, 110 Dundas Street East, Whitby, 905-668-3410, on Monday, August 20, 2007 from 7 to 9 p.m. Graveside service at Thornton Cemetery on Tuesday, August 21, 2007 at 11 a.m. Rev. Loved mother of Anne Neary, Richard Bohdanowicz and his wife Joanne, and Barbara Bohdanowicz and her partner Andrew Dowd. Loving Granny to Meghan, Bradley, Clare, Lindsay and Michael. After a short illness at Peterborough Regional Health Centre, Roger St. Site, on Thursday, August 16, 2007, with her sister at her side, at the age of 66. Ruth, loving mother of Wendy Cook of Peterborough, Sam Cook and his wife Leslie of Stouffville, and Danny Cook and his wife Julie of Scarborough. Sadly missed by grandchildren Robin, April, Jake, Dawson, Ashley, Amy, and great-grandson Cody. Dear sister of Carol Leveque and her husband Larry of Kingston and the late Donna Buker and Billy Brown. Fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, friends and neighbours, and four-legged companions Cuddles and Suzy. passed away suddenly but peacefully with her family by her side, on August 16, 2007 at the Rouge Valley Health Systems - Ajax, in her 84th year. Devoted wife of the late Clark. Loving mother of Anne Marie Dennis, Jodi LaFleur, John Dennis and Mark Dennis (Pam). Proud and loving Nana of Matthew (Laura). Sister of the late Rosemary Gunn. Frances will also be sadly missed by many other family members and friends. FIELDING, Ada Annie
passed away peacefully, on Thursday, August 16, 2007 at the Uxbridge Reach View Village, at age 97. Holding her hand was her beloved daughter Barbara Doupe. Ada was the only daughter of the late John and Annie Masters and she was the sister of the late Sam Masters. Ada is survived by her beloved son-in-law Everett Doupe, her cherished grandchildren Robert Doupe (Brenda), and Barbie (Todd Bartley), her much loved great-grandchildren Troy (Lindsay), Brent, Steven (Cristan), Heather and her dearly loved great-great-grandson Tyson (Little Toad). She was predeceased by her beloved husband Lorne Fielding and her great-grandson Ryan. Ada was fondly known by many friends and relatives as ''Grannie.'' The family of Ada Fielding will receive friends at the WAGG FUNERAL HOME, ''McDermott-Panabaker Chapel,'' 216 Queen Street in Port Perry (905-985-2171), on Sunday, August 19th from 7 - 9 p.m. A Service to celebrate her life will be held in the Chapel on Monday, August 20th at 1 p.m., with Reverend Nancy Monteith officiating. WORDINGHAM, William (Bill) Varco
Captain, EM, Royal Artillery Retired. On Wednesday, August 15, 2007, at Ajax Hospital, William Varco Wordingham passed away peacefully in his 91st year. He was the beloved husband for 67 years of Joan Seaborne, and the dearly loved father of Anthony, Ann, Sally, Amanda and the late Michael and Hugh. Dear grandfather of 14 and great-grandfather of 9. Born in England, Bill had a long career in the British army, including surviving Dunkirk. He and Joan came to Canada with their children in 1964. He then joined the Ontario Government in 1966 and had a second successful career as Manager of Claims with the Ministry of Health. In his retirement he and Joan traveled widely, had many hobbies and enjoyed his family. To follow Bill's wishes, cremation has taken place. As expressions of sympathy, donations to The Heart and Stroke Foundation or a Charity of your choice would be appreciated.

passed away compassionately and peacefully at home in Bethany on Tuesday, August 14, 2007, with family by his side after a brave battle with cancer. Beloved husband of Laura Virginia Bierema. Lovingly remembered by his children Jason (Cindy) Beirema of Oshawa, Jodie Brennan of Courtice, Sarah Leonard of Oshawa, Benjamin Leonard of North Bay, and Jason Leonard of Bethany. Adored Poppa of Taylor Bierema and Emma Brennan. Dear brother of Nick (Manon) Bierema, Betty Bahir, and Ruth (Rob) Forbes. Predeceased by his parents John and Jane Bierema and sister Agnes Swanick. Jacob will be remembered by his nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Peacefully on Tuesday August 14, 2007 surrounded by his loved family at Lakeridge Health Oshawa in his 79th year following a brief but courageous struggle with cancer. Roman, beloved husband for 46 years of Wanda Romanczyk (nee Bakalarz). Loved father of Lucy and her husband Jeff Earle, and Richard Romanczyk. Loved Dziadziu of Yuen and Ethan Earle. Roman will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by his loving family and many dear friends. TAYLOR, Margaret (nee Ewin)
It is with sadness that the family of Margaret announces her passing on August 14, 2007 at Lakeridge Health Oshawa. However, it is with joy that we share her belief that she is now in Heaven with her Lord. She would want to be remembered as a mentor, sharing her Christian faith as she taught Women's Bible Studies. Her passion for creative arts and music was evident by her sewing and gardening. Many enjoyed her performances on piano and organ over the years. She shared her gift of hospitality with family and friends. Margaret will be missed by her husband of over 55 years, Larry, daughters, Wendy (Phil) and Shirley (Rene) and son, Brad (Heather). Margaret was a loving grandmother to Allison (John), Ryan, Adrian, Dan, Megan, Braden and great-grandchild, Jacob. Respecting Margaret's wishes there will be a Memorial Service at Harmony Rd. Baptist Church at a date to be announced. Memorials may be directed to The Gideons International in Canada, with appreciation.

COLVIN, Ruth Anne
Retired from General Motors of Canada after 36.5 years of service. Our loving mother peacefully slipped away with her family at her side on Monday, August 13, 2007 after a long courageous battle with cancer, in her 64th year. She will be greeted with loving arms in heaven by her loving husband Ronald L. Colvin. She will be sadly missed by her loving and devoted family, her eldest son Douglas Benness, daughter Dorothy (Jason) Newell, son James (Sharon) Colvin and youngest son Ronald Colvin. Dear grandmother of Ashley, Bobby, Dillon, Ryan and Ryley, and great-grandmother to baby Cash who helped brighten her days and ease her burdens when her spirits were low. Beloved daughter of the late Dorothy and Percy Thompson. Dearest sister of John Thompson and special friend Joyce McCabe. Loving sister of Wendy (Reg) Shaw and Bonnie Thompson-Michaud (predeceased). She will be sadly missed by all her uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews. In Ruth's memory, memorial donations may be made to the Port Perry Community Hospital Foundation.
