Lee dedicated her life to supporting others through her work with Camp Tawingo, Senior Citizens, Durham YMCA, and the Durham branch of the Canadian Cancer Society as a volunteer coordinator. Her last hand has been played. Peacefully at Lakeridge Health Oshawa on Wednesday August 1st 2007. In her 88th year. Predeceased by her husband Lambertus (Bert) in 1996. Loving mother of Adrian (Brenda) & Joanne (Bob). Will be missed by her grandchildren Angela Mathieson (Murray), Amanda, Melissa & Bryan Barchard, & her great grandsons Gage & Brock Mathieson. No one had more spunk & willpower then the Queen of Cards as she battled cancer over the last 11 years. Her knee replacements brought with them determination to walk miles & the nickname iron lady . She was a founding member of the Dutch Rikken Club & an active member of the O.S.C.C. Anna valued all her many friends & found their support comforting in her final days. A special thank you to Nellie (niece) & John Stokes & Betty McClear for helping us all through this time & the staff at Sunrise Co-Op for their help over the last few years.
