Suddenly at Beaverton on Saturday, September 22, 2007. Larry was the cherished son of Larry and Judy (Carleton) Avery of Beaverton. Dearly loved brother of Shannon (Brian) Inglis and Kaylee Avery of Beaverton. Grandson of Elsie Avery of Beaverton and the late Milford Avery and the late Charlotte and Grant Carleton. Larry will be missed by his many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Survived by his wife Helen of Oshawa, daughter Sharon Wilson (Bill) of Oshawa, son Wayne (Brenda) of Blackstock, grandchildren Lisa LaPorte (Chris) of Whitby, Andrea Wilson of St. Catharines, Melissa Gauly (Alex) of Burlington, Adam Hancock and John Hancock, both of Oshawa. Predeceased by his grandson David Marlow Hancock. Remembered by his great-grandchildren Devon and Sierra LaPorte. At Marlow s request, his body has been donated to the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Toronto. Suddenly at Lakeridge Health-Oshawa on September 21st, 2007 surrounded by his loving family. Andrew leaves behind his best friend and soul mate of 25 years, Amber, his loving son Andrew (Linda), sisters Norah and Caroline. He will be greatly missed by nephews Greig and Cameron and niece Sarah-Beth (Sadie). His wonderful personality and sense of humour will be missed by all who knew him. passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 20th, 2007 in her 93rd year. Beloved wife of the late Harold R. (Slim) Aylesworth and daughter of the late James Edwin (Yank) and Voilet Northcott. Predeceased by eleven brothers and sisters. Survived by her sister Violet Szoldra; her sons Harold (wife Elizabeth) and William and daughter Judith Anne O Reilly (husband Morris); her grandchildren Grant and James Aylesworth; Steven Kemp and Kara Aylesworth; and great grandchildren Taylor Kemp and Keona Bruton and many nieces and nephews. Kay spent her entire life in Oshawa and worked for almost 30 years as the Cafeteria Supervisor at Lakeridge Health Centre. HAJNAL, Joseph F.
passed away peacefully in Oshawa, ON, formerly from Kitchener, ON, surrounded by his family on Thursday, September 20th, 2007 in his 75th year. Beloved husband of Elisabeth (Zs ka) and sons Joe Jr. and his family and Tom and his family. Loving Grandfather of Amy, Shane, Jessike, Kyle and twin brothers, Mitchell and Garrett and many relatives in Toronto and Hungary. Joe graduated from the Institute of Geology and Mining Technology (1954) Hungary, all his life worked as Plant Engineer and in many diverse industries, retiring in 2000. Besides his regular jobs, his passion was the sport of Boxing and devoted all his spare time to coaching. He was a founding member of the Canadian Amateur Association (1968) and Boxing Ontario (1973) where he served (1973-1984) as director of Coaching during his tenure. Joe wrote and published many articles all related to the improvement in coaching and safety in boxing. One of these papers served as the basis for Level I and II Technical Manual. Besides many duties, Joe coached in club level in Kitchener and Oshawa to help young athletes achieve their goal to be Ontario and Canadian Champions and his best friend Fitzroy The Whip Vanderpool to a Canadian Professional Championship. In 2007 Joe was inducted into Ontario s and into the Canadian Hall of Fame for all his contribution to Boxing in Canada. As per Joe s wishes cremation has already taken place and a memorial service to celebrate his life will be held at OSHAWA HUNGARIAN CULTURE CLUB, 64 Albany St., Oshawa, Ontario on Sunday, September 30th, 2007.
