BEDARD, BLANCHE GERMAINE (ST. MARTIN) went to be with Our Lord on January 21, 2003. Blanche was born December 10, 1918 in Legal, Alberta. She was predeceased by her husband Elphege in 1987. She is survived by her loving children: Colette (Marcel) Girard, Joe and Isabel Bedard, Madelaine (Bill) Holub, Annette (Doug) Jensen, Irene (Mervin) Larsen, Paul and Linda Bedard, Louise (Claes) Petri, Angela Bedard; her sister Bernadette Vaugeous; twenty grandchildren; thirty-five great grandchildren; five great great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Prayers at Our Lady Of Lourdes, Westbank, at 7:00PM, Friday January 24th, 2003. Service to be held at Our Lady Of Lourdes, Westbank, at 10:00AM, Saturday, January 25th, 2003. Should family and friends so desire, memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Cancer Research.

ELLIOTT, ALFRED JOHN (JACK): passed away peacefully and quietly in his home in Kelowna with family by his side, on January 18, 2003 in his 99th year. Born on September 3, 1904 in Brandon, Manitoba, he grew up on the family farm. In 1935 he marriage Beryl, his life-mate until her death in 1992. He will be deeply missed by his son and daughter-in-law Bob and Sherry of Edmonton/ Kelowna, their children Jacqueline (Robert) Cote of Kelowna; great grandchildren Josephine and Jake; Jim (Kathryn) Elliott of Mexico City; daughter and son-in-law Barbie and Ken Ross of Kelowna, their children Ryan (Dawn) of Calgary, Michael (Kelly) of Toronto, John and Steven at home. His sister Gracie (Jack) Landage of Calgary; sister-in-law Thelma Elliott and brother-in-law Mel Dean of Moose Jaw, brother-in-law Harry Urwin of Fort McLeod, numerous nieces and nephews, extended family and friends. Jack moved to Moose Jaw in 1925 where he became involved in the repair, sales and service of automobiles. He founded Elliott Motors Ltd. in Moose Jaw in 1939 selling Chrysler, Plymouth and Fargo Trucks until he sold the business in 1960. His greatest pastime was spent at Buffalo Pound Lake where he sailed 'The Rudy Duck', fixed everyone's pumps, barbecued and above all provided awesome summers with a fantastic community of friends. In 1965 he retired to Kelowna and pursued his passion for golf at Kelowna Golf and Country Club for 37 years. He had four holes in one and shot his age at 82. He was a member in the Masonic Lodge A.F. & A.M. Life member of Kelowna Shrine Club and The Kelowna Club. Jack had hundreds of friends and associates that he could call by their first names and tell his stories and jokes to. Anything he set out to do he completed successfully but above all else he cared and looked after his family. Those wishing to pay their respects may do so on Tuesday, January 28th, 2003 between 7:30 - 8:30 P.M. in the Chapel of First Memorial Funeral Services, 1211 Sutherland Ave., Kelowna. A service to celebrate Jack's incredible life will be held on Wednesday, January 29, 2003 at 2:00 P.M. at the Benvoulin Heritage Church, 2297 Benvoulin Rd. in Kelowna. A family Interment will follow in the Kelowna Memorial Park Cemetery on Thursday, January 30th, 2003. Flowers gratefully declined. GREENE, NORMAN EDWARD: passed away suddenly on Saturday, January 18, 2003 in Kelowna at the age of 68. He was predeceased by his son Bradley, his parents, Edward & Emily and his brother, Alan. He will be sadly missed by his son Bruce (Lori Jo) of Edmonton, AB, daughter Brenda Bailey (Warren) of Okotoks, AB and grandchildren Lindsay, Lacey, Robbie and Michael. He also leaves to mourn his companion Fran Heller of Kelowna. Norm was born in Edmonton, where he resided until 1985 at which time he moved to Vancouver. He then moved to Kelowna in 1989 and retired from Capps Wine and Beer Store in 1999. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, January 25, 2003 at Everden Rust Funeral Chapel, 1910 Windsor Road, Kelowna. A Funeral Service will be held in Edmonton on Tuesday, January 28, 2003 at 1:00pm in St. Charles Catholic Church, Interment to follow. GREEN, ERNIE born in Cardston, Alberta on March 14, 1919 died in Kelowna on January 22, 2003. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Barbara; two sons: Graham (Judy) and Malcolm (Shirley); two daughters: Gwenda (David) Farrell and Gill (Bob) Coombs; five grandchildren: Erin, Jeremy, James, Robyn and Kimberly; one sister Inez and brother Clyde in Winnipeg and numerous nieces and nephews. HIEBERT, MURIEL A. passed peacefully into the presence of Jesus on January 22, 2003 at Sun Pointe Village at the age of 89 years. Survived by her loving husband of 54 years Henry, two sons: Philip of Steinbach, MB, Stephen of Devon, AB, and one grandson Travis. Predeceased by her one sister Lilian Deeks. HASKETT, YVONNE BARBARA (LOVEY)passed away peacefully at the age of 81 in Kelowna General Hospital January 20th, 2003 surrounded by her family while listening to the piano music she so loved. Born on August 5th, 1921 in Okanagan Mission, Lovey was an accomplished Pianist and freely shared her passion for music. She will be remembered with much joy for her love of life, her wonderful sense of humour, and the beauty of her flower gardens. Her door was always open and she welcomed so many into her home and her heart. She will be sadly missed by her husband William G. Haskett and her children and (grandchildren); Tina Shields (Duncan & Brodie), Trish Perkins (Karen & Danica), Maureen & Gord Savage (Danny & Cassandra), Denise Haskett (Nathan & Jesse), Matt & Sue Haskett (Andrew & Kendra), her sister Win Horn and many loving family members and friends. MacDONALD, FLORENCE MARY: passed away peacefully at Westside Care in Westbank, British Columbia, on Wednesday, January 22, 2003 at the age 84. She is survived by Angus, her loving husband of 65 years. Also mourning her, are daughter Glenda Malcolm and her husband John Palmer and grandsons Howard Malcolm and Mark Malcolm and great grandson Dakota Malcolm. Florence has two surviving brothers Tony and Bill Tretyck and many nieces and nephews. Florence was born and raised in a large loving family in the Horizon area of Saskatchewan but spent most of her adult years in Timmins, Ontario. Florence and Angus were members of the Church of Nativity and she was active in the Catholic Women's League. Following retirement they moved to Kelowna in 1985 and spent the last six years at Westside Care. Florence may be remembered in Bridge circles. Funeral arrangements will be completed by Springfield Funeral Home in Kelowna. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Charles Garnier Catholic Church, 3645 Benvoulin Road, Kelowna, on Tuesday, January 28th at 11:00 am with a gathering to follow immediately after. KRAEMER, FREDERICK: Born in Moscow, Russia, October 10, 1904, Fred passed away peacefully in the Delta Hospital at the age of 98 on January 20, 2003. He was predeceased by his loving wife Ellen in 1996 and is survived by one son Ivan (Sharon) Kraemer of Mill Creek, WA. Also left to mourn his loss are three grandsons: Scott of Coquitlam, David (Jane) of Ladner, Jeff (Marty) of Squamish and two great grandsons: Jack and Ben. Moving to Kelowna in 1974, Fred and Ellen enjoyed their retirement years in this city before Fred relocated to Ladner in 2001. The family would like to thank all the staff at Lakeshore Place for their thoughtful attention during his residency. A private family memorial gathering was held on Friday, January 24, 2003 at the Delta Funeral Home and a private burial took place in the Lakeview Memorial Gardens in Kelowna, BC on January 25, 2003.
