FOSTER, Connie
Peacefully, following a brief illness, at Lakeridge Health – Oshawa on Sunday, September 2nd, 2007. Constance Ella Louise “Connie” Foster , (Nee Roser), in her 69th year. Beloved wife of the late Donald Foster . Dear mother of Pat and her husband Ross Robinson of Newtonville and Chris and his wife Barb of Oshawa. Lovingly remembered by her 3 grandchildren; Natasha Lund, Tony Lund and Shelby Foster . Dearest great grandmother of Avery Wauby and Taylor Lund. Connie will be fondly remembered by her husband Don’s family; Doug and Audrey, Bert and Sylvia, Vernita, Neil, Donna and her friends Janet and Harold. Special thanks to the nurses and doctors on 6F – Lakeridge Health – Oshawa (especially Irene) for their wonderful comfort and support. Friends may call at OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West (905-721-1234) for visitation Thursday, September 6th from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Friday, September 7th at 11:00 A.M. Cremation. In Connie’s memory, memorial donations to the Palliative Care Unit at Lakeridge Health – Oshawa or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.

HARTGERS, Henny - 1948 - 2007
Beloved husband of Gail, caring father of Ingrid (Lauri) Romanko & grandfather of Malcolm. Predeceased by his parents Herman Hartgers & Dina Gerrits. Left to mourn his passing are his two brothers Bertus (Sjouke) & Henk (Wietske) Hellendoorn, Holland. His Uncle Willem & Aunt Joan Gerrits, Belleville. His Aunt Grace & Uncle Gerrit Pannekoek, Oshawa and his stepmother Marie. Henny will be missed by his many nephews, nieces, cousins, extended family and friends. Resting at the COURTICE FUNERAL CHAPELLimited 1587 Highway #2, Courtice, Ontario (905-432-8484) with Funeral Service on Thursday September 6th, 2007 at St. Therese Roman Catholic Church, (Courtice Rd. North, Courtice) at 10:00AM. The family of Henny will receive friends at the Courtice Funeral Chapel on Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9PM, with prayers at 7:00PM. In lieu of flowers, Memorial Donations to the Bowmanville Memorial Hospital Foundation would be appreciated.

McFADYEN, William ''Bill''
Surrounded by his loving family, entered into rest at Extendicare Rouge Valley Nursing Home on Sunday, September 2, 2007. Bill, at the age of 83, was the beloved husband of the late Elizabeth McFadyen (nee Thomson). Loving father of Elizabeth Walther and her husband Lutz, William and his wife Marilyn Kelman, Hugh McFadyen and his wife Susan (deceased), Alan McFadyen and Charlotte and Richard Roth. Fondly remembered by his 14 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Bill will be sadly missed by his brother-in-law Danny Thomson and his wife Betty, sister-in-law Olive McPherson and by his many nieces, nephews and friends. In keeping with Bill's wishes, cremation has taken place. If desired, memorial donations to the Alzheimer Society or the organization of your choice would be appreciated by the family.

MILNE, Steven
Died tragically in his Mustang on Sunday September 2, 2007 in his 53rd year. Loving husband for 27 years of Patricia (McWhirter). Caring father of Thomas, Patrick and Andrew. Beloved son of Marilyn and the Late Peter Milne. Brother of Terry (Lloyd Evans), Laurie (Steve Hos) and Christine (Wayne Brown). Steve is also greatly missed by the McWhirter family. In keeping with Steve's wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service is being held at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 332 (111 Hunt Street, Ajax, L1S 1P3) Saturday Sept. 8th between 2-4. No suits or ties please at Steven's request. Donations to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation www.cbcf.org would be greatly appreciated.

SAULGRIEZIS, Martha
Suddenly on Sunday, September 2, 2007, Martha in her 86th year. Beloved wife of the late Juris Saulgriezis. Loving mother of Astrid and her husband David Wilson of British Columbia, Sigrid and her husband John McCandless of Mississauga and Juris Saulgriezis of Toronto. Dear grandmother of Scott, Julie and Lauren Wilson and Kate and Erin McCandless. Survived by a brother and sister, and many nieces and nephews in Germany. Relatives and friends will be received at McINTOSH-ANDERSON FUNERAL HOME LTD., 152 King Street East, Oshawa (905-433-5558) on Thursday from 7-9 p.m. A service will be held at GRACE LUTHERAN CHURCH, 540 Cromwell Avenue (at Park Road South and Highway 401), Oshawa on Friday, September 7, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. with cremation to follow. Donations in memory of Martha may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Grace Lutheran Church or Sick Kids Foundation.

SAWCHUK, Stella Tekla (nee Deineka)
Suddenly at her home in Oshawa on Sunday September 2, 2007 at the age of 84. Stella, beloved wife of the late Walter Sawchuk (2005). Lovingly remembered and missed by Lidia and John Stepaniuk, and Violetta and Aneta Stepaniuk. Stella will be fondly remembered by her church family, many dear friends and her loved family in Poland and Ukraine. Age 79 years. passed away at his home in Bowmanville on Sunday September 2, 2007. Beloved husband of Anita. Dear father of Cathy & Tony Mazuca, David & Alexis Thomas, Michael Thomas, Patricia Blatchford, Richard & Wendy Thomas, Greg Thomas, Kelly & Ona Thomas, Ann Marie & Mark Hawkins, Ronald & Jackie Critch, Sharon Critch and David Heyes. Also survived by his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Dear brother of Gwen Boujold, Lorraine (Jack) Emmerson and Ted Thomas. A Memorial Service will be held at THE NORTHCUTT ELLIOTT FUNERAL HOME, 53 Division St. N. Bowmanville, on Thursday September 7, 2007 at 6 pm.
