ALLEN, ANGELA, JANUARY 14, 1984 - APRIL 25, 2003: All of our lives changed the day Angela was diagnosed with cancer. For Angela it meant losing all the innocence of childhood. For the rest of us it meant watching with awe at her courage, her strength and her will to live. Our Angela went to heaven on April 25, 2003 and looks down on her family Tom, Ornella and Carina Allen; Grandparents John and Aurelia Grison, Grandmother Joyce Allen; Uncle Dario and Auntie Elaine, cousins Christina, Bianca and Alessandro Grison; Aunt Brenda Wientz and cousin Chris (Leanne, Seth and A.J. ) Wientz; Uncle Kevin (Laura Neufeld) Allen; Aunt Lesley (Wade) cousins Jonathan, Matthew, Kaitlin and Stacey Schmidt; Uncle Glen (Leah) cousins Colin and Emily Allen; Aunt Judy (John) cousins Ewan and Ramsay Murray; Godmother Diana Petretta and many relatives in Italy. Best friends Carly Robertson, Megan Reid, Emily Rimmer and Kerry Walker, who were there for Angela in every way. The Bundschuh family; John, Joan, Alexis, Danyari, Hannah and Simone. Jason and Claire McInnis and their two little boys Josh and Reid who Angela loved more than anything, and many, many friends. Angela touched so many people in so many different ways and will be missed by all. Angela loved children and was a great gymnastic coach. She excelled at sports, loved soccer, which she played all of her school years, was a competitive gymnast for six years, played field hockey and rugby in high school, ran cross-country in Grade 11, started skiing at the age of two and snowboarded as a team. Angela's goal, after beating cancer, was to surf. Angela was a regular blood donor since the age of 16. Angela was a shining example of a well rounded teen, and it is only through Angela's example of courage, strength and will that we are able to go on without her. We would like to thank all the people who took special care of Angela: Dr. Elaine Bouttell, for always being sensitive to Anglela's needs and for finding new avenues of hope, when that was what Angela needed most, and for not making Angela ' do mornings'. Thank you to everyone at the BC Cancer Agency in Vancouver, especially Dr. Bas Masri and Paula in Kelowna; Dr. Islam Mohamed and everyone in Radiology. A special thank you to Debbie and all the nurses in the Chemo room. To everyone on 4B, especially Dena and Judy for the care on her many visits there. To everyone in X-ray and to all the doctors she saw in Emergency. A special thank you to the nurses who always made sure the wait was short. Dr. J. D. Loken who took care of Angela since birth and who a short 18 years later had to tell her she had cancer. Thank you Denis and all the staff at Mission Overwaitea Pharmacy for always for always being so helpful. Thank you Bruce Allen for acupressure and so much more. A very special thank you to St. Jude's Hospital for all the special work they do. And finally to the Palliative Team who we only met a week ago; Dr. Clare McGinness, Lindsay, Holly, Vera and Louise.
