GOOD, Robert James Greenfield Died on Friday, June 1, 2007 at the age of 87 years. Beloved husband of Patricia (Penny) for 61 years. Wonderful Dad to Kathy Robinson (Richard), Kristine Sullivan (Bill) and Elizabeth Good (Ray). Loving poppop to Jamie, Mark, Kerry (Gino), Matthew, Daniel, Casey, Rachel (Steve) and Karley; great-grandfather of Reegan. Brother of Pat Good (Joan). Bob spent 5 years overseas with the RCHA from Kingston. Upon his return he joined the staff of the Ontario Cancer Foundation and was instrumental in the opening of the Cancer Clinic here in Kingston, where he remained for 37 years. During those years he joined the local Kinsmen Club and served as Governor of District 6, then as National President of the Kinsmen Clubs of Canada and on to Director for the World Council of Young Mens Service Clubs. He was with the Cataraqui Region Conservation Authority for nine years and served on the St. Lawrence Parks Commission for 7 years. Also served 6 years as Trustee and Vice Chairman on the Frontenac County Board of Education. Memorial Service to be held in the chapel of the James Reid Funeral Home, Cataraqui Chapel (1900 John Counter Blvd at Highway 2) on Saturday, June 9, 2007 at 11 am. Friends will be received on Saturday from 10 am until service time. As an expression of sympathy memorial donations made to the Alzheimers Society would be appreciated by the family.

Fondly remembered by his grandparents Gord and Barbara Botting, Gary Greenlees and his friend Bev Burns, and the late Susan Greenlees; great-grandson of Helen Greenlees, Lillian Inkster and Gord and Kay Botting. Sadly missed by his uncles Mike Botting, Cple Greenlees, Tim and his wife Karen Greenlees; cousins Zach and Ben Greenlees and many great-aunts, great-uncles and cousins. Survived by his loving children, Connie (John) and Nicole (Darryl), and granchildren Amanda, Patricia, Samantha, Trevor, Taylor and Bryce, as well as great grandchildren Shane, Lila and Deanna. Brother of Ron (Norma), William (Linda), Raymond (Diane), Bernard (Bonnie), Douglas (Linda), Roger (Cheryl), Brenda Shephard (Rob) and half-brother of Carolyn Spencer. Also remembered by brother-in-law Bill Chartier (Virginia), and by numerous nieces and nephews. Survived by his brothers and sisters Barbara Mulville of Kingston, David (Linda) of Lyndhurst, Sandra Knox of Kingston, Jack (Louise) of Godfrey, Penny Haughton (Trevor) of Sydenham, Joe (Jeanie) of Yarker, Bill of Godfrey. Howard is survived by his wife and best friend Mary, his children Wayne (Catherine) and Angela, and his cherished grandchildren Megan, Thomas and Grace. He is also survived by his sisters Patricia Chatten and Margaret Robinson of St. Thomas as well as many nieces and nephews. Former comanding officer of the Govenor General's Foot Guards of Ottawa, sportsman, and member of the Garrison Golf and Country Club's 'Fab Eight', he is much loved and will be sorely missed. Beloved husband of the late Joan (2006), cherished father of Mary (Mark Gibson), Jane (Mark Banyard), Stephen (Jacqueline Fraser), Patricia (Kevin Kitt), Ruth (Patrick Lee), and Timothy (Vicki Cook),and loving brother of Eric (Sandra), John (Penny), and Patricia (Dennis Bonham). Adored by his grandchildren Catherine, Sarah, Oliver, Rachel, Rebecca, Scott, Elizabeth, Adam, Caitlin, Trevor, Meghan, Alison, David, Benjamin, Hannah, Jamey, Devan, and Calum. When not spending time with his grandchildren, George could be found outdoors. He was a keen gardener and avid bird watcher. He always made time to give back to his community through volunteer work with organisations such as the Bequia Mission, the Kingston Field Naturalist Club, and the Rideau Trail Association. He was active in his church and will be missed by those by those who knew and loved him. Resting at James Reid Funeral home, Cataraqui Chapel (1900 John Counter Blvd. at Highway 2). JUDD, D. Allan, 83, passed away peacefully after a long illness on Sunday, July 1, 2007. He had recently celebrated his 58th wedding anniversary with his beloved wife, Ruth Lillian (nee Harpell), who survives him, together with their children, Ellen, Janet (Michael LeSarge), Brian, Margaret and Sharon (Geoffrey Dipple); grandchildren, Joseph and Benjamin Dipple, Erin, Paul, Anthony, Mary and Lisa Herbert; great-grandchildren, Aya Herbert and India Frost; and his sister, Madeline Knox. Allan Judd was born in Kingston on February 18, 1924 and grew up in a loving foster family, coming of age during World War II, and served bravely in the Royal Canadian Navy during the Battle of the Atlantic. Subsequently, he attended Queen's University and graduated with a B.A. in 1950, and then attended the University of Toronto, where he studied the relatively new profession of social work and graduated with a B.S.W. in 1951. He joined the Children's Aid Society in Kingston in 1952 and worked in all areas of professional social work with children, especially in the north of Frontenac County. From 1955 to 1986, he served as Executive Director of the Kingston Children's Aid Society, working tirelessly in the interests of children and their families. He was innovative in expanding the range of care, generous in his work to improve the conditions of life in Kingston (especially in promoting public housing and homemaker services), and unfailing in his integrity and the demands he placed on himself. He was a loving family man and a person of active and varied interests, including gardening, fishing, astronomy and history. The family thanks the staff at Fairmount Home for their warm care during his final illness. Friends and family will be received at the James Reid Funeral Home, Cataraqui Chapel (1900 John Counter Blvd. at Highway 2) on Thursday, July 5, 2007 from 7 to 9 p.m., with a private family Interment. MALCOLM, M. A. "Alex" Peacefully in his sleep at St. Mary's of the Lake Hospital on Saturday, August 4, 2007. A retiree from the University of Toronto, he is predeceased by his wife Gloria (Moore) in 2005. Alex will be greatly missed by his daughter Susan and grandsons Tom and Sam Bach of Melbourne, Australia. A wise, generous and humorous man, Alex will be long remembered by his in-laws Dorothy Shaw, Paul and Eileen Moore and Peter and Sandy Moore, as well as many nieces, nephews, and grand nieces and grand nephews. In his chosen home of Kingston, Alex served as a volunteer for a number of years on the Board of Governors of the Kingston General Hospital. Alex was very appreciative of the comfort given him during his final months by the staffs at both the Kingston General Hospital and St. Mary's of the Lake Hospital. In keeping with Alex's wishes, there will be no service and cremation has taken place. Dear aunt to Don Yott (Elizabeth), Doreen Yott ( the late Gordon), many great and great, great nephews and nieces, as well as one great, great, great niece Grace. Jean will also be missed by her dear friends Karl and Ursula Eckert and Marg and Ross Beardall. Jean will be remembered for her great sense of humour and keen wit. She always told her friends and family, "never lose your sense of humour". In keeping with Jean's wishes, there will be no visitation or service and cremation has taken place.
