Annie Raynsford of the Jordan Life Care Centre, River Glade passed away at her residence on Saturday, September 7, 2002.
She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
The funeral service was held Monday, September 9, 2002 from Armstrong's Funeral Home, Petitcodiac. Interment was in Greenhill Cemetery.
Margaret E. Harrison Margaret E. Harrison of Elgin, passed away Saturday September 7, 2002 at the Moncton Hospital. She was born June 17, 1928 in Boom Road, Northumberland County, she was a daughter of the late William and Sarah (MacLean) Allison.
Margaret was actively involved with The First Elgin United Baptist Church as well as the President of The Elgin Senior Citizens Club, she was actively involved with the N.B. Senior Citizens Federation, previously being involved with the Women s Missionary Society, The Liberal Association and The district No.16 School Board.
She is survived by 5 Daughters: Deborah Leaman (LeeRoy), Erla Steeves (Richard) both of Elgin, Delores Murray (John) of England, Tonya Harrison of Halifax, Joan Denney (Ray) of Fredericton, 1 Son: Blair Nelson (Lorna) of Moncton, 2 Sisters: Vera Duthie (Joe) of Tide Head and Nellie Walsh (Vincent) of Newcastle, 11 Grandchildren, 4 Great Grandchildren and several Nieces & Nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband Alfred in 1983, 7 Brothers: Charles, Stillman, Sam, Allen, Chester, Borden and Edmund and 1 Sister: Rose.
Visiting Hours will be held from Armstrong s Funeral Home, 33 Russell Street, Petitcodiac on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9, The funeral service will be held from The First Elgin United Baptist Church, on Wednesday September 11, at 1:30 P.M., with Rev. Mark Smith Officiating. The Interment will be in the New Elgin Cemetery. Donations to the Friends of The Moncton Hospital Foundation Oncology Unit would be appreciated by the family.
Paul Edward Steeves
Paul Edward Steeves of Westford Nursing Home, Port Elgin, formerly of The Glades, passed away Thursday, September 5, 2002 after a lengthy illness.
Born March 5, 1913 in Meadow, Albert Co., he was a son of the late Ira and Grace (Steeves) Steeves. He was a retired school teacher.
He is survived by daughters, Mrs. Frank Matthews (Mary), Mrs. Danny Burbine (Lois), sons, Vernon Steeves (Gwen), Ronald Steeves (Debbie), nine grandchildren, four great grandchildren He was predeceased by his wife Edith (Morton) Steeves; a son, Robert; a daughter, Mrs. Kenneth Teakles (Pauline); brothers Luke, Eldon, Cecil and George; sisters, Daisy, Nimo and Beulah. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
By request of the family, there will not be any visiting hours before the funeral which will be held Sunday, September 8, 2002 at 2:30pm from Armstrong's Funeral Home, 33 Russell Street, Petitcodiac (756-3361)

Burton Winslow Rogers Burton Winslow Rogers of Salisbury, age 84, passed away Wednesday, September 4, 2002 at the Moncton Hospital.
Born July 10, 1918 in Mont Eagle, he was a son of the late Lemuel and Ida May (Norris) Rogers. He was a Veteran of World War II. He was a retried custodian at the Jordan Memorial Home.
He is survived by his wife, Joan (Winson), daughters, Mrs. Harry Mitton (Madeline) of Salisbury West, Mrs. Ron McLennan (Margaret) of Lower Sackville, NS, Mrs. Rolland Noel (Clara) of Shediac, Mrs. Esther Collette of Shediac Road, Mrs. Ulysse Leblanc (Sandra) of Moncton, Dorothy Rogers of Salisbury, sons, Andrew Rogers (Barbara) of Berry Mills, Albert Rogers (Kim) of River Glade, 14 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers, Clarence, Raymond, Lester and George, sister, Vera.
The remains are resting at Armstrong's Funeral Home, 33 Russell Street, Petitcodiac, (756-3361) with visiting hours on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9pm. The funeral will be held from Armstrong's Funeral Home on Saturday, September 7, 2002 at 2:00 pm. Burial will be held in Fair Haven Memorial Gardens.

Doris Ruth Bernard of Cornhill Street, Moncton, formerly of Adamsville passed away, Wednesday, August 28, 2002 at the K. E. Spencer Memorial Home at the age of 89.
She was born in Moncton, on December 29, 1912, a daughter of the late Maxim and Suzy (England) Arsenault.
She is survived by three daughters, Jeannetter Cormier of Adamsville, Louraine Chase (Ron) of Moncton, Mary Lamarre (Raymond) of Montreal, three sons, Armand (Rose) of Montreal, John (Diane) of Saint John and Ron (Robin) of Turtle Creek, two sisters, Bertha Cormier of Trenton, Ont., Stella Barker of Fredericton, two brothers, Walter Arsenault of Moncton, Donald Arsenault of St. Antoine, 10 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Benoit, sisters, Greta and Margaret, brothers, Willard and Frank.
There will be no visiting hours by request. A graveside service will ge held from the St. Augustin Cemetery, Adamsville on Saturday, August 31, 2002 at 2pm. The arrangements are under the direction of Cadman's Funeral Home, 114 Alma Street, Moncton (857-1110)
Ronald Douglas Prosser
Ronald Douglas Prosser of Petitcodiac, age 93, passed away Wednesday, November 6, 2002 at the Kiwanis Nursing Home, Sussex.
Born June 8, 1909 in Prosser Brook, he was a son of the late Hulbert and Annie (Lounsbury) Prosser. He was a member of the Petitcodiac United Baptist Church, a member of the Petitcodiac Senior Citizens. He was retired from the CNR.
He is survived by daughters, Marion Hicks (Herbert) of Marlboro, Mass., Mable Smith (Arthur) of Anagance, Sandra Young (Austin) of Havelock, Dian Goddard of Petitcodiac, sons, Robert (Doreen), Edward (Marilyn), Gerry (Debbie) all of Petitcodiac, 22 grandchildren, 44 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his wife, Irene (Lutes), sisters, Thelma Shaffer, Clara Bannister, Myrtle Hicks, brothers, Edward, Garfield, Everett, Perry, grandson, Rodney Young. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family.

Leonard McCully of Petitcodiac passed away Tuesday May 13, 2003 at his residence. He was born in Manhurst, March 5, 1931 and was the son of the late Norman and Venetta (Mattinson) McCully. He was a retired lumberman.
He is survived by a special friend Dorothy, 5 daughters; Doris Erb (Doug), Ruth Alward (Terry), Darlene Wade (Larry), Lois McKnight (Kevin) all of Petitcodiac and Angie McCully (Terry) of Middlesex. 5 sons; Lenny Jr. (Janice) of Killams Mills, Frank (Marina), Paul (Sylvie), Dougie and Richard (Kim) all of Petitcodiac, a brother Robert (Marie) of Petitcodiac,20 Grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife Shirley (Branscombe) McCully.
Visiting hours will be held from Armstrong s Funeral Home, 33 Russell Street, Petitcodiac on Wednesday from 7-9, Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9. The funeral service will be held from the Petitcodiac Baptist Church on Friday May 16, 2003 at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. Gordon Cook and Rev. Jody Holmes officiating. The Interment will take place at the Steeves Settlement Cemetery.

Born July 26, 1928 in Harewood, she was a daughter of the late Eastman and Rhoda (Killam) Demont.
She is survived by her husband, James, sons, Austin of Fawcett Hill, Murvyn of Calgary, sisters, Sadie McCully of Moncton, Jenny Church of Saint John, Celia Dobson (Doc) of Petitcodiac, brother, Curtis Demont (Leona) of Harewood, grandchildren, Stuart, Sherry and Austin Jr., two great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

Goldwin Douglas MacLeod (Gogi) of Petitcodiac, passed away Thursday June 12, 2003 as the result of a motor vehicle accident in Petitcodiac. Born in Moncton on January 11, 1971. He was a former employee of Alward Contracting.
He is survived by his mother Margaret (Mundle) MacLeod of Petitcodiac, 2 sisters; Eloise MacLeod of Moncton and Marva MacLeod of Miriamchi City, 2 Brothers; Evan (Ada) of Bathurst and Seldon (Christie) of Sanatorium Road, also several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews cousins. He was predeceased by his father Herbert MacLeod.

Marie Anne (Gagne) Lauzier
Marie Anne (Gagne) Lauzier, formerly of Cameron Street, Moncton, 89, passed away Sunday, November 10 at the K. E. Spencer Memorial Home.
Born December 12, 1912 in Van Buren, Maine, she was a daughter of the late Alphonse and Anna Gagne. She was a former choir director at Our Lady of the Snows in Campbellton from 1965 to 1969 and a member of the choir from 1929 to 1969.
She is predeceased by her husband, J. E. Lucien Lauzier, brother, Omer Gagne.
No visitation by request. The funeral mass will be held from Notre Dame de L'Assomption Cathedral, Moncton on Wednesday, November 13, 2002 at 11am, Father Legere officiating. Greta Alberta Ivany of Lakeview Manor, Riverview, formerly of Peoples Park Tower, Moncton, age 92, died Wednesday, May 8, 2002 at her residence.
Born March 31, 1910 in Bouctouche, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Eliza (Rice) Smith. She was a telephone operator with NB Tel and a member of St. Andrew's Anglican Church, the Senior Citizens Club at Peoples Park Tower and the NB Tel Pioneers.
She is survived by a sister, Zella Day-Luce of Moncton, brother, Alexander (Allie) Smith (Gilberte) of Moncton, nephew, Bill Day-Luce (Doris) of Cap Pele, nieces, Wanda Jonah (Harold) of Hillsborough, Betty Haley (Douglas) of Campbellford, Ont. Predeceased by her huband, Alex Ivany, brothers, Bill and Borden, sisters, Margaret, Maude and Doris.

Phyllis Ethel Hope of Forest Glen, died Friday May 3, 2002 at The Moncton Hospital. She was born January 2, 1953 in Moncton, She was employed with Armour Transport in the Accounting Department.
She is survived by a special friend John Fletcher with whom she resided. Her mother Anita Bourque (Roger) of Moncton, 1 Sister: Betty Green (Edward) of Meadow Brook, 2 Brothers: Donald Hope (Simonne) of Moncton and David Hope (Brenda) of Moncton, 2 Nieces and 1 Nephew. She was predeceased by her father: Kenneth Hope and an infant sister: Linda.

Christina Hicks, 89 of The Kenneth Spencer Memorial Home, formerly of Salisbury Road Moncton, went home to be with her Lord of Saturday May 18. She was born July 22, 1913 in Scotland and was the daughter of the late Thomas and Margaret (Ewen) Cruickshank. Christina was a member of the Havelock United Baptist Church.
She is survived by 2 Sons: William (Jeannine) of Memramcook and David (Janice) of Moncton,1 Sister: Charlotte Linfield of Riverview and 2 half brothers: Bill Cruickshank (Sally) of Havelock and John Cruickshank (June) of New Canaan, 7 Grandchildren and Several Great Grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be held from Armstrong s Funeral Home, 33 Russell Street, Petitcodiac on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9. Raymond Dupless of Moncton, age 60, passed away on Saturday, July 19, 2003 at the Dr. George Dunmont Hospital.
Born on July 18, 1943, he was the son of the late Leonard Duplessis and Geneva Leblanc. He was a security guard for the Moncton Hospital and a taxi cab driver.
He is survived by one son, Chance, at home. One step son, Bradford Mack of Moncton. Three step daughters; Shari McGillvary (Mike) of Yarmouth, Patricia Mack, Of Riverview, and Corrina McPhee (Peter) Springhill, NS. Three brothers; Peter (Clara), Paul and Emery (Regie) all of Moncton. Three sisters; Bernice Noel (Elie) of Dieppe, Dian Leblanc (Willie) of Moncton, Leona Collete of Moncton.
A special friend, Rose Marie Doucett, a grand daughter Rose Mary Meunier of Moncton. Several grandchildren one great grandson David Nicholas.
He was predeceased by his wife Helen Duplessis (Maxwell) in 1994.

Gladys G. Crandall of Kodiac Place, Petitcodiac, age 84, passed away Sunday, November 24, 2002 at the Moncton Hospital.
Born August 27, 1918 in Canaan, she was a daughter of the late Bliss M. and Jeanie (Burgess) Corey. She was a member of Petitcodiac United Baptist Church, Member of the True Blue Orange Lodge No. 369, Wheaton Mills, Member of the Petitcodiac Senior Citizens.
She is survived by daughters, Mary Jean Price (Jerry) of Petitcodiac, Susan Dianne Stark (James) of Petitcodiac, sister, Hazel Ripley of Amherst, grandchildren, Misty, Kandy, Lonny, Megan, Gillian, great grandchildren, C.J., Taylor, Jordan, Brianna, Jerri, several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Herbert G. Crandall, sisters, Violet, Jennie, Genice, Leta, brothers, Alton, Theodore, and Donald.

Miriam Kathleen Smith
Miriam Kathleen Smith, 61 of Hillsborough Road, Riverview, N.B., passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Wednesday, November 20 at The Dr. George L. Dumont Hospital after a lengthy illness.
Born in Moncton on August 3, 1941, she was a daughter of the late George and Elsie (Nelson) Smith).
Miriam graduated from Moncton High School in 1958 and after completing Business School, worked for the Canadian National Railways at the Shops on John Street. At age 19, Miriam moved to Calgary, Alberta where her love for downhill skiing was born. She returned home after one year but continued traveling throughout Canada and the United States, working in many locations, including Montreal, Sarnia, Vancouver and Boston.
Miriam's love of skiing lead her to winter trips to Austria where she made many friends. Summers were spent sailing with her long-time friend and companion, Gerry Doyle, on the waters off Shediac Bay and later in the Bras D'Or Lakes in Cape Breton. Winter weekends were spent at the family chalet, skiing at Poley Mountain. She was a 15-year past member of the Canadian Ski Patrol. In the last few years, while no longer able to ski, Miriam still enjoyed weekends at the chalet with family and her special friends, Betty Richard of Saint John, N.B.
Miriam worked most of her career in Moncton with Eastern Broadcasting Ltd in the accounting department and later with MacArthur's Nursery as the Comptroller and accountant. She obtained her Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation during this period.
Miriam is survived by two sisters, Nancy (Walter) Meech of Hampton, N.B. and Audrey (Gary) Chapman of Riverview and two brothers, Ralph (Nancy) of New Maryland, N.B. and Eric (Lori) of Lower Coverdale, as well as two nieces and five nephews. Besides her parent, Miriam was predeceased by a brother, David, in 1964

The funeral service will take place at Wesley Memorial United Church, Moncton, N.B. on Friday, November 22, 2002 at 1 pm, with Rev. Lloyd Bruce officiating. Burial will take place in the Wilmot Cemetery, Lower Coverdale, N.B.

Joseph Avard Marven II
Joseph Avard Marven II, 87, of Riverview died peacefully on Friday, November 8 at the Moncton City Hospital. Born on September 10, 1915, he was the son of the late Joseph Avard Marven I (founder of Marven's Biscuits) and the late Annie Emily Murray.
He graduated from Aberdeen High School in 1933, passed his senior matriculations from Saint John High School in 1934. He received his Bachelor of Arts Degree from Mount Allison University in 1937 and a Commerce Degree from Dalhousie University in 1938 (where he was also a member of phi delta theta fraternity). In 1940 he married Mona Grace Fraser of Halifax. He went on to obtain his CA designation and started his accounting career at Lee and Martin in Halifax. In 1946 he became a partner and returned to Moncton to head up their New Brunswick office.
In 1957 he started his own accounting firm and remained the senior partner until his retirement in 1980. He served as auditor for the City of Moncton for more than 40 years. He was a long serving member of the Moncton Rotary Club receiving the Paul Harris Fellowship. He was a life long member of Central United Church, serving on the Board of Trustees for many years. He was also one of the most active fundraisers for the Moncton Crisis Pregnancy Center. He was a former member of the Moncton district council of Boy Scouts of Canada. In November 1996, Governor General Romeo Leblanc presented him with the Silver Wolf, Scouts Canada highest award bestowed upon an adult volunteer.
He was predeceased by his wife Mona, December 1, 1989, his son Peter, December 18, 1999, an infant grand daughter, Abby Jean, July 13, 1977 and a brother Murray, February 18, 1995. He is survived by daughter-in-law, Norma of Shediac, grand daughters, Wendy Marven (Dan Webb) of Saint John, Amy Stevens of Riverview, Mary Marven of London, Ontario, a grandson, Matthew Marven of Moncton, two great grandchildren, Cody and Kathleen Stevens of Riverview, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at Cadman's Funeral Home, 114 Alma Street, Moncton, Monday November 11 from 2-4 and 7-9pm, with the funeral service being held at Central United Church, 150 Queen Street, Moncton at 11am on Tuesday, November 12, Rev. Eldon Hay officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations to the memorial of the donor's choice is requested by the family.

Robert Vincent Lenihan of Hedgewood Drive, Moncton, age 73, passed away Wednesday, November 20, 2002 at the Saint John Regional Hospital.
Born July 19, 1929 in Saint John, he was a son of the late Frank and Mary (Doherty) Lenihan. He was a graduate of St. Vincent's Boys High School in Saint John, a Liberal M.L.A. for the Moncton Area 1967-1970, a member of the B.P.O.E. No. 229, active in amatuer sports, an avid baseball fan and a member of the Champlain Mall Walking Club. He worked for Air Canada as a passenger agent, in Saint John, Gander, Montreal and Moncton. Later he owned Moncton Travel Agency. He was past area director for the American Society of Travel Agents.
He will be sadly missed and remembered by his wife, Betty (Russell), sons, Michael (Cathy), Mark (Suzanne) both of Ottawa, daughter, Mary Jane Lenihan of Saint John, brothers, Willaim (Florence) of Dartmouth, Walter (Connie) of Montreal, Frank of Bathurst, several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by sisters, Alice Montague and Mary Ingram.
Visitation will be held from Cadman's Funeral Home, 114 Alma Street, Moncton, with visiting hours on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9pm. Parish prayer will be held from the funeral home, Sunday at 8:30pm. The funeral will be held from the Holy Family Catholic Church on Monday, November 25, 2002 at 10:30 am, Father D. Bohan officiating. Burial will be held in the Holy Cross Cemetery, Saint John.

Allie Gordon Collier
1957-2003
Allie Gordon Collier of Anagance passed away Friday July 11, 2003 at his residence. He was born in Moncton on August 22, 1957, he was a son of the late Allie and Beulah (Rogers) Collier. He was employed as a cable technician with Rogers Cable.
He is survived by his wife Debbie (MacLean) Collier, a daughter Krista at home, 1 son Michael of Anagance, 2 sisters; Heather LaPierre (Bob) on Moncton and Donna Small (Stan) of Winnipeg and 1 brother Eldon Hamilton (Jo-Ann) of Moncton, as well several half brothers and sisters, nieces and nephews.
There will be no visiting hours by request. The funeral service will be held from Armstrong s Funeral Home, 33 Russell Street Petitcodiac on Tuesday July 15, 2003 at 11:00 A.M. The Interment will take place at the Horseman Cemetery.
Annie Budd
Annie Budd of Moncton, NB, age 75, passed away at at her daughters residence in Colpitts Settlement on Monday, July 7, 2003.
Born December 13, 1927 in Monteagle, NB, she was a daughter of the late Ralph and Nellie Lewis. She was a member of the 2nd North River United Baptist Church, and a retired employee of Crandall and Associates.
She is survived by She is survived by 2 daughters; Mrs. Kathryn Steeves of Colpitts Settlement, and Beverly Budd of Sault Ste. Marie. One sister, Helen Lewis of Monteagle. Five brothers; Ronald and Kermit of Salisbury, Clayton of Riverglade, Grant of Milton, Ontario, and Peter of Lewis Mountain. Two grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a daughter Pamela.
There will be no visitation hours by family request. A memorial service will be held from the 2nd North River United Baptist Church on Wednesday, July 9, 2003 at 2 pm, Pastor Derrick Langille officiating. Funeral Arrangements are under the direction of Armstrong's Funeral Home at 33 Russell St. Petitcodiac, NB. The burial will be held at Fairhaven Memorial Gardens.
