Jack Bernard Price
February 12, 1918 - August 5, 2003
The death of Jack B. Price , husband of Norma (Stiles) of Moncton occurred at the Moncton Hospital on Tuesday, August 5th. Born February 12th 1918 in Richibucto, he was the son of the late Everett and Mabel
(Barnard) Price . A well respected businessman, he owned and operated Consolidated Supply Wholesale Electronics until his retirement. He had been a member of Mount Royal United Church where he served on the Board of Elders for many years. He was a veteran of the Second World War and served in Chatham with the Royal Canadian Air Force. He was an "old timer" Ham Radio operator having operated ham radios since an early age. In his retirement he has enjoyed the love of his family and the times they have spent together. His pastimes have been gardening, computers, digital photography and woodworking.
He is survived by his wife Norma (Stiles) Price , one daughter Paulette Elaine Leidelmeyer (Peter) of Houston Texas; one son Terry Alan
(Sheilah) of Okotoks Alberta; five grandchildren (Anthony, Sean, Diana, Adam and Curtis); two great grandchildren (Jordan and Justin); his sister-in-law (Annie Price of Riverview) as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his daughter Linda Joyce Johnson in August 1991 and his brother Claude.
By request there will not be any visiting hours prior to a memorial service which will be held on Monday August 11th at 2 pm in Fair Haven Funeral Home Chapel with a reception to follow in the family reception room of the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the Friends of the Moncton Hospital or the memorial of the donor's choice.
Arrangements are under the direction of Fair Haven Funeral Home (852-3530) 1177 Salisbury Road Moncton.

Harry Garfield Crossman
February 11, 1943 - August 6, 2003
The death of Harry Garfield Crossman, husband of Sharon of Riverview occurred at the Moncton Hospital on Wednesday August 6th 2003.
Born in Moncton, February 11th 1943, he was the son of Josephine Crossman (Mitton) and the late Alex Crossman. He had been employed with the CNR and retired after many years service. He enjoyed fishing on the Miramichi, hunting, and collecting golf balls for resale.
He is survived by his wife Sharon (Lutz), his daughters Sharon Buchanan (Mark); Christine Brown (Derek); one son Sandy Crossman all of Riverview. Two granddaughters Jamie Lee Buchanan and Jazmyne Buchanan. Brothers Donald Crossman (Jeanne) of Salisbury; Larry Crossman (Heather Cook) of Hillsborough; his sister Debbie Lane (Lester) of Salisbury; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his father he was predeceased by his first wife Faye (Snider) in 1989.
Visiting hours at Fair Haven Funeral Home (852-3530) 1177 Salisbury Road Moncton Thursday August 7th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. Funeral service will be held on Friday August 8th at 3 pm in Fair Haven Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be in Fairhaven Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to the IWK Health Center Foundation or the memorial of the donor's choice.

Joseph Wayne Leslie
1942 -- 2003
The death of Joseph Wayne Leslie, 61 years, of Robinson Street Moncton occurred at his residence after a period of failing health on Monday July 28th .
Born July 21st 1942 in PEI, he was the son of Ella Sheehan.
Joe was a quite man who enjoyed working with wood.
His funeral will be held in Fair Haven Funeral Home Chapel (8523530) 1177 Salisbury Road Moncton on Saturday August 2nd at 10 am. Interment will be in Fairhaven Memorial Gardens.

Dismas Arsenault
The death of Dismas Arsenault, 61 years, husband of Georgette (Leger) Arsenault of Petit Cape occurred accidentally at his residence on Friday July 25th.
Born June 29th 1942 in Cape Pele he was the son of the late Antoine and Margarite (Comeau) Arsenault. A life long resident of the Cape Pele area he had been for most of his life a self employed businessman.
In addition to his wife Georgette he is survived by his brother and sisters, Neri (Yvonne) of Shediac; Leonie of BC; Juliette Strang (Raymond) of BC; Francis (Cordelia) of Shediac; Eugenie of Montreal; Celestina of Montreal; Leona of Shediac; Gerald of Toronto and Normand also of Toronto as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his sisters Bernadette and Eugenie and one brother Alcide.
By request of the family there will not be any visitation or public memorial service. A private family service will be held in the Chapel of Fair Haven Funeral Home. Cremation and in-nichment will be in Fairhaven Memorial Gardens. Donations may be made to the memorial of the donor's choice. Arrangement are under the direction of Fair Haven Funeral Home (852-3530)1177 Salisbury Road Moncton.

George D. Murray
The death of George D. Murray, 78 years, husband of Lois (MacDonald) Murray, of Grande Digue occurred at the Dr. Georges Dumont Hospital, Moncton on Monday July 21st 2003.
Born in Moncton he was the son of the late Stanley and Daisy (Anderson) Murray.
Mr. Murray had been employed with Canadian Liquid Air retiring as Branch Manager after many years of service. A veteran of the Second World War he served overseas with the Canadian Armed Forces. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Moncton Branch #6 where he was Past President and also served in many offices.
He was a Past District Commander of the Westmorland Albert District of the Royal Canadian Legion. George and Lois celebrated their 54th wedding anniversary on June 28th of this year.
In addition to his wife he is survived by his children Bruce (Pam) of Grande Digue; Karen (Rick) Long of Moncton; Janice(Jerry) Petitpas of Ontario and Scott (Linda) of Moncton as well as five grandchildren; two great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his sister Doris Carroll, and his grand daughter Kelly Long.
By request their will not be any visiting hours prior to a Legion Service which will be conducted by officers and members of the Royal Canadian Legion on Thursday July 24th at 2 pm in the chapel of Fair Haven Funeral Home 1177 Salisbury Road Moncton.
Cremation and Interment will take place in Fairhaven Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are under the direction of Fair Haven Funeral Home (852-3530)

William (Bill) J. Adams
October 5, 1912 - July 17, 2003
Bill Adams, 90, formerly of Waverley Ave, Moncton passed away peacefully at the Kenneth E. Spencer Memorial Home on Thursday, July 17, 2003.
Born in Lewisville, on October 15th, 1912, he was the son of the late William J. and Maria (Jackson) Adams.
Bill retired from the CN after 36 years in 1976. He was a lifetime member of International Association of Machinists and the Moncton Lions Senior Citizens.
He attended Mountain View United Church and was an active member of the choir for many years. He had a great love of music and pursued his love in many ways by playing in the senior's band and singing with the Barbershop Quartet, as well as the Moncton District City Band. He will always be remembered for his great sense of humor.
Bill is survived by his children Anne (Ed) Perry, Jack (Francis) Adams, Gary (Ruth) Adams, Nancy (Del) Mazerolle, David (Joyce) Adams, Kathy (Dale) Babcock; Stephen (Donna) Adams, Cindy (Paul) Lueken; sister Elsie Kemmer of Saskatchewan, 13 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents Bill was predeceased by his wife Kathryn (Kay) Adams in 2002.
By request there will not be any visitation prior to the Memorial Service to be held in the Chapel of Fair Haven Funeral Home, on Monday July 21, at 2 PM.
There will be a gathering of family and friends in the Family Reception Room of the Funeral Home, immediately following the service. Interment in Fairhaven Memorial Gardens.
If desired, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of choice.

Carloine M. Groves
The death of Carloine M. Groves, wife of Barrie Groves, of Lower Coverdale occurred at the Moncton Hospital on Tuesday July 15th 2003 following a brief illness.
Born in Lakeburn she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Marie (Lirette) Smith. Carloine had been employed with the Moncton Times Transcript prior to her early retirement. She loved reading, gardening, embroidery and spending time with her dogs.
In addition to her husband, Barrie, she is survived by two sisters Phyllis (Peter) Schmitz of Germany; Barbara Smith; four brothers Wallace (Noella), Wayne (Theresa); Allan (Sylvia); Ralph (Gail) and all of Moncton and many nieces and nephews.
She is also survived by her mother in law Florence Ida Groves (the late Wilfred Groves) of Bonavista, NL.
By request there will not be any visiting hours prior to her Memorial Service which will be held on Friday July 18th at 3 pm in Fair Haven Funeral Home Chapel followed by a gathering of friends and family which will take place in the Family Reception Room of the funeral home.

Robert Lee Woodman
March 10, 1923 -- January 25th, 2001
The death of Robert Lee Woodman, husband of Margaret(Gaynor), of Upper Mountain Rd. Boundary Creek, NB occurred at the Moncton Hospital on Thursday January 25th following a period of failing health.
Born in Moncton he was the son of the late James Frederick and Lillian Alvia(Horseman) Woodman. He had worked as a farmer, a lumberman and worked for over 30years with Canada Cement prior to retirement. He had attended Steeves Mountain Baptist Church.
In addition to his wife he is survived by his mother-in-law Emilda Gaynor of Steeves Mountain and by his children William Robert(Carol) of Petiticodiac, Stewart Alvin (Carol) of Boundary Creek, Shirley Lillian Lewis(Rodney Bannister) of Bannister Rd. Albert Co., Stella Jean Seeley(Grant) of Petiticodiac, Barbara Ann (Dwayne) of Lindsay, Ont., Ronald Alan of Milton, Ont., Rodney Owen of Boundary Creek, and Linda Margaret of Harvey, NB, one sister Ruth Woodman of Moncton, one sister-in-law Myrtle Woodman of Riverglade, five grandchildren Roseanna Woodman, Stephanie and Courtney Seeley, Robert and Jordan Miller.
In addition to his parents he was predeceased by one brother Jim several years ago.
Resting at Fair Haven Funeral Home (852-3530) 1177 Salisbury Rd. Moncton with visiting hours on Saturday January 27th from 2-4 and 7-9. Funeral service will be Sunday January 28th at 2pm in Fair Haven Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be in Fairhaven Memorial Gardens.

Lt. Col. Everett Ora Steeves
October 9th, 1919 -- February 4th, 2001
The death of Lt. Col. Everett Steeves, husband of Margaret(Tuck), of Moncton NB occurred at the Moncton Hospital on Sunday February 4th, following a sudden illness.
Born in Moncton he was the son of the late Frederick and Olive(Greer) Steeves. He retired from the CNR as a Senior Officer, he then went on to pursue a career in Real Estate for over 25 years. He served in the Royal Canadian Army during World War 2, he was a member of the Riverview Veteran's Association, Royal Canadian Legion Moncton Br # 6 as well as The United Services Institute " USI". Everett attended Central United Church.
In addition to his wife he is survived by his children, Sandra (Roger) Ferris of Montreal, Richard(Nancy) Steeves of Ottawa, his sisters Dora Brown of Moncton and Freda Gerrard of Tide Head, four grandchildren one great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews.
By request there will not be any visiting hours at the funeral home. A Memorial Service will be held from Fair Haven Funeral Home(852 3530) 1177 Salisbury Rd. Moncton, Thursday February 8th, at 2:00 PM with Rev. Sandy MacLean officiating.
Following the service the family invite you to join them for a time of fellowship and refreshments in the family reception center of the Fair Haven Funeral Home. Cremation and Interment to take place in Fairhaven Memorial Gardens. Donations to The Friends of The Moncton Hospital would be appreciated.

Elizabeth Jean (Betty) Steeves
1928 - 2002
The death of Elizabeth Jean (Betty) Steeves, 74, widow of the late Raleigh Dean Steeves, of Canaan Forks, occurred peacefully at the Moncton Hospital on Sunday August 4th 2002.
Born in Moncton, February 24th 1928 she was the daughter of the late Charles Frederick and Hannah Etta (McFarlane) Steeves.
Betty had been very active in her community where she was a founding member of the Canaan River Sewing Circle and a member and Treasurer of the Canaan River Recreational Committee.
She will be sadly missed by her children, Carole Helen Alward of Moncton, Deborah Elizabeth Leaman (George) of Riverview, Allan (Donna) Steeves of Moncton, Richard Bentley Lewis (Nancy) Steeves of Durham Bridge, NB, Christopher John (Odette) Steeves of Musquadobit Harbour, NS and Stephen Michael Steeves of Canaan Forks; a sister, Gertrude Gay of Borden PEI; sister-in-law, Mae Steeves of Amherst, NS; brother-in-law, Ivan Bent of Sackville, NB; special niece, Coralee (Herbie); 11 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and her husband, Betty was predeceased by a sister, Ruth Steeves and brothers Vaughan and Verne.
By request there will be no visitation. A memorial Service will be held Wednesday, August 7th at 3:30 pm in the Chapel of FAIR HAVEN FUNERAL HOME, 1177 Salisbury Rd., Moncton with a reception to follow in the funeral home Family Reception Room. Cremation and Interment will be in the Fairhaven Memorial Gardens.
If desired, memorial donations may be made to a charity of the donor s choice.

Effie Adeline Milton
January 3rd, 1930 - January 28th, 2001
The death of Effie Adeline Milton, wife of Robert Milton, of Route 114, Hillsborough occurred at the Moncton Hospital on Sunday January 28th. Born January 3rd 1930 in Berryton Albert Co. she was the daughter of the late Oliver and Laura(Ricker) Power.
Effie had worked for the T.Eaton Co. Mail Order Office for many years until the office closed in the mid 1970s.
In addition to her husband, Robert, she is survived by her sons Brian of Osbourne Corner and Gregory at home, her sisters Sadie Constantine of Moncton, Nellie Kendrick of Riverglade, Eileen Fenton of Riverview, Amy Rea of Moncton, Emma Gross(Clyde) of Riverview her brothers Rowley Power of Riverview and Leo Power(Audrey) of Lower Coverdale her grandchildren Jodie Milton and Christopher Milton and her daughter in law Linda Milton of Hillsborough. As well as several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by two brothers Hansel and Gordon.
Resting at Fair Haven Funeral Home(852-3530) 1177 Salisbury Rd. Moncton with visiting hours on Tuesday January 30th from 2-4 and 7-9. Funeral Service will be Wednesday January 31st at 3pm in Fair Haven Funeral Home Chapel with a reception to follow in the Family Reception Room of the funeral home. Interment will be in Fairhaven Memorial Gardens.
Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.

Patricia "Patsy" Landry
July 19th 1941 -- January 26th 2001
The death of Patricia "Patsy" Landry, wife of Gerald Landry, of Moncton occurred at the Dr. Georges Dumont Hospital early Friday January 26th after a period of failing health.
Born in Moncton she was the daughter of the late Cecil and Dorothy(Gallant) Urquhart.
A loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother she loved the time spent with her family and also enjoyed playing darts and bingo in many locations and especially at the CNR War Vets.
In addition to her husband, Gerald, she is survived by her children Linda Elliott (Stephen), Ann Chase(Todd) and Jerry (Jeannine) all of Moncton. She is survived by her sisters Donna Mills of Moncton, Betty Dempsey(Tommy) of Fredericton, Audrey Leblanc(Malcolm) of Moncton and Dean Murphy of BC. Three brothers Douglas Urquhart of Moncton, Sonny Lutes of Denmark and Charlie Lutes of Fredericton. nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.
By request there will not be any visiting hours prior to cremation.
A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday January 30th at 11am in Fair Haven Funeral Home Chapel. 1177 Salisbury Rd. Moncton. Interment will be in Fairhaven Memorial Gardens.
Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Canadian Diabetic Association.
The family would like to take this opportunity to thank the doctors, nurses and caregivers who looked after Patsy during her many visits to the Dumont.

Agnes (Clements) Dunphy
December 11th 1911--February 20th 2001
The death of Agnes Marie(Leblanc)(Clements) Dunphy of Lakeview Manor Riverview occurred at her residence on Tuesday February 20th 2001. Born in Memramcook she was the daughter of the late Lucien and Mary(Arsenault)Leblanc. Agnes had retired as owner/operator of Agnes's Beauty
Salon in the Brunswick Hotel after which she was a Real Estate Agent for many years. She attended First United Baptist Church and St. Augustines Church.
Twice married she was predeceased by her first husband Ross Clements in 1965 and her second husband Francis Dunphy in 1983.
She is survived by her step daughters Sharon (Reg) Loney of Riverview and Faith Clements of Vancouver BC, her step son Richard(Sharon) Dunphy of Riverview. She was predeceased by a step daughter Karin(Dunphy) Pauley. She is also survived by her sisters Lorraine Leger of Moncton and Alma Melanson of Memramcook her brothers Leander of Memramcook, Lionel and Albert both of Moncton, Francis and Leo both of Dieppe as well as many grandchildren great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. In addition to her husbands and step daughter she was predeceased by her sister Doris Poirier, her brothers Eddie, Fred, Emery, Narcisse and Allain.
By request there will not be any visiting hours prior to the Memorial Service which will be held on Friday February 23rd at 2pm in Fair Haven Funeral Home Chapel(852-3530) 1177 Salisbury Rd. Moncton. A reception will follow in the Family Reception Room of Fair Haven Funeral Home. Cremation and Interment will be in Fairhaven Memorial Gardens.

Joan Margaret Duhy
September 19th, 1925 -- February 21st, 2001
The death of Joan Margaret Duhy, widow of the late Howe Allen Duhy, of McLaughlin Dr. occurred at her residence on Wednesday February 21 2001.
Born in Folkston, Kent, England on September 19th 1925 she was the daughter of the late William John and Mabel Oiller.
A veteran of the Second World War she served with the British Army. She was a homemaker and also attended Cherryfield Baptist Church.
She is survived by one daughter Jenny(Merle) Alward of Salisbury, two sons Malcolm(Wenda) and Eric Brian(Trudy) all of Moncton. She is also survived by her sisters Marjorie Winifred Hartop, Eileen Mary Allendale and Evelyn Dilys Maddern, her brothers Robert Edwin Oiller, Eric Ernest Oiller, Kenneth Edward Oiller and Leonard Oiller all from the United Kingdom. She is survived by her grandchildren Angela, Dorothy, Melissa, James, Shelley, Richard and Brian, 12 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband she was predeceased by her daughter Margaret Elizabeth Snowdon in August 1997 and one brother William John Oiller.
Resting at Fair Haven Funeral Home(852-3530) 1177 Salisbury Rd. Moncton with visiting hours Friday February 23rd from 7-9 p.m.. Funeral Service will be held Saturday February 24th at 10 am in Fair Haven Funeral Home Chapel with a reception to follow in the Family Reception Room of the Funeral Home. Interment will be in Fairhaven Memorial Gardens.
Donations maybe made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society.

Lewis Edward Douthwright
March 24th 1931 -- February 28th, 2001
The death of Lewis Edward Douthwright of Colpitts Settlement occurred at the Dr. Georges L. Dumont Hospital Wednesday February 28th, 2001. Born in Colpitts Settlement March 24th 1931 he was the son of the late George Beverly and Mary (Harrison) Douthwright. Lewis worked for over 25years with Fawcetts Lumber in Petiticodiac before retirement. An avid outdoorsman he enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening. He was also very talented with woodworking.
He is survived by his brothers William (Della) of Salisbury and Vernon (Patricia) of Colpitts Settlement, his sister-in-law Eleanor Douthwright also of Colpitts Settlement, as well as many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his sister Myrtle in 1999 and his brother Adam in 2000.
Resting at Fair Haven Funeral Home(852-3530) 1177 Salisbury Rd. Moncton with visiting hours Friday March 2nd from 7 to 9 PM. Funeral Service will be Saturday March 3rd at 2pm in Fair Haven Funeral Home Chapel with a reception to follow in the Family Reception Room of the Funeral Home. Interment will be in Fairhaven Memorial Gardens. For those wishing to memorials may be made to the Kidney Foundation or the Memorial of the Donor's Choice.
