EVELYN O`BRIEN
1915 – 2001
SHEDIAC-Mrs. Evelyn O`Brien, 86, born February 3, 1915 in Petit-Cap, N.B., daughter of the late Simon Leblanc and Delphine Cormier passed away on Wednesday, March 14, 2001 at Résidence Beau Séjour , Shediac and formerly of Comeau St., Shediac.
Evelyn will be sadly missed by her daughter Anita Metcalfe (Roland) of Cap-de-Cocagne, son Francis O`Brien (Laure) of Shediac, three special granddaughters : Charline Ducasse (René) of Baie-Comeau, Qc., Lise Cormier (Marcel) of Grand-Barachois and Lynn Léger (Marcel) of Cap-Pelé, a special grandson Serge O`Brien of Surrey, B.C. and ten great grandchildren; two sisters : Eva O`Brien (late Jacob)of Shediac and Christine Gaudet (late Amédée) of Shediac Road and a brother Tilmon Leblanc (Juliette) of White Settlement.
She was predeceased by her husband Aurel in 1979, a sister Alma Leblanc 1982 .
Evelyn was a member of the Saint-Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Shediac and a long time volunteer at the Villa Providence, Shediac as well at the Résidence Beau Séjour up until the onset of her illness in October 2000. She was named Citizen of the Year 1997 for the Town of Shediac. She was a long time Liberal supporter, a member of the Club d`Âge d`Ôr in Shediac, the Silver Sands in Shediac Cape, Femmes Chrétiennes, Légion de Marie, C.W.L. and Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed dancing, playing cards, darts, bowling , gardening as well as meeting people and loving life to it`s fullest.
Resting at Frenette Funeral Home Ltd., 396 Main St., Shediac (532-3297) with visitation on Thursday from 7 to 9p.m., Friday from 2 to 4p.m. and
7 to 9p.m. and on Saturday from 10a.m. till hour of departure at 10 :50a.m.
The funeral mass will be celebrated at 11a.m. on Saturday, March 17, 2001 at Saint -Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Shediac. Interment in the parish Cemetery.
Donations to can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society (859-6977) or the oncology center of the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital Foundation (862-4225)

Edward Martin
March 14, 2001
Edward Martin, 72, of LeFurgey Avenue, Moncton, passed away Wednesday March 14, 2001 at his residence.
Born April 10, 1928 in Saint-John, he was the son of the late Joseph Martin, and the late Domethilde Cormier.
He is survived by his wife, Ida (Gallant) Martin; four daughters: Jeannette Martin (Donald Vautour), Thérèse Martin (Maurice Cormier), Jeannine Martin (Vincent), and Rose-Marie Bonnell (John) all of Moncton, two sons: Ronald of Moncton, Roger of Saint-John, six grandchildren: Shawn, Matthew, Michel, Bradley, Jessie, and Kyla.
He was predeceased by his brothers Paul, and Alfred Martin.
Resting at Frenette Funeral Home, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900). Visiting hours Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m., Friday from 1 p.m. until time of departure (1:45). The funeral mass will be held at 2 p.m. Friday March 16, 2001 at Notre-Dame-de-Grâce R.C. Church (Parkton).

Cy Lirette
1948 - 2001
Cyril "Cy" P. Lirette, 52, of Waltham, MA, formerly of Moncton, passed away Monday March 13, 2001. Beloved husband of Rita Mary (Gould) Lirette. Devoted father of Laurie Ann Lirette and Michael Lirette both of Colorado, his step-children Darlene Hebert of Moncton, Susan Gould, Michael Gould, and Sandy Gould all of Calgary. Loving son of Delia (Roy) Lirette and the late Pierre Lirette. Dear brother of Diane Haroutunian (Robert), Aline Schultz, and Louise Curry (Roger) all of MA, Pauline Lavery (Gerald) of ME, Gerard (Janice) of NH, Leonard (Cassandra) of MA, loving grandfather of 3 step-grandchildren, Brandon, Kalib, Haley, also survived by many nieces, and nephews. A funeral mass was held Friday in Waltham. A memorial mass will be held at 10 a.m. Monday March 19, 2001 at Notre-Dame-de-Grâce R.C. Church in Moncton. Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary R.C. Shediac: Mathilda Leblanc, 87, wife of the late Arthur J. Leblanc, of Résidence Beau Séjour, Shediac passed away Saturday March 17, 2001 at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital.
Born January 19, 1914 in Cocagne, she was the daughter of the late Alexandre Maillet, and the late Alice Bourque.
She is survived by a daughter: Dorine Belliveau (Clarence) of Shediac; two sons: Claude (Yvette) of Shediac, Alderic (Judy) of Calgary; two sisters: Irene Gagnon, and Evelyn Watson both of Shediac; two brothers: Romuald of Shediac, Theodore of Toronto, four grandchildren: Christopher, Denise, Michel, Marcel, seven great grandchildren: Brittany, Stephanie, Jocelyne, Kelsey, Matthew, Kane, Jessica.
Besides her husband, she is predeceased by her sisters Georgina Cormier, Nélida Doiron, and brothers Terrance, and Alderic Maillet.

Doris Leblanc
1912 - 2001
Doris Leblanc, 88, wife of the late Edgar J. Leblanc, of Résidence Beau Séjour, Shediac, formerly of Steeves Street, Moncton, passed away Saturday March 17, 2001 at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital following a lengthy illness.
Born April 18, 1912 in Moncton, she was the son of the late Pierre Allain, and the late Genevieve Collette.
She is survived by three daughters: Bernadette Chavarie (Guy), and Anne-Marie Caissie (Laurie) both of Grand-Barachois, Genevieve Middleton (Harry) of Peachland, B.C.; two sons: Normand (Nicole), and Alfred (Regina) both of Moncton; two sisters: Emilie Goguen of Shediac, Edna Leblanc of Dieppe; seven grandchildren: Claude, Nicole, Charles, Danny, Michelle, Ginette, Denise; nine great-grandchildren: Quinn, Emma, Benoit, Melanie, Matthew, Michael, Emilie, Celeste, Stil time of departure (12:45). The funeral mass will be held Monday March 19, 2001 at 1 p.m. at Notre-Dame-de-Grâce R.C. Church (Parkton). Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary R.C. Cemetery, Dieppe.

Louisa Leblanc
1915-2008
Louisa Leblanc, 93, wife of the late Edmond Leblanc of Famille Doucette Residence, Grande-Digue and formerly of Riverside Dr., Shediac passed away suddenly at the residence on Sunday, June 22, 2008. Born May 10, 1915 in Shediac, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mélina (Richard) Vautour.
She is survived by four daughters: Aurida Vosburgh (D. Donald) of Elgin, Dora Powell (Robert) of Shediac, Suzanne Petitpas (Garry) of Charlottetown, P.E.I., Rose Marie Reid (Doug) of Maccan, N.S.; five grandchildren: Leslie, Shelley, Justin, Cynthia, Patti; two great grandchildren: Troy and Sydney and by many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband Edmond (2001), a son Francis, ten sisters: Évangeline, Béatrice, Alice, Marie, Marguerite, Aurida, Laura, Juliette, Blanche and Stella; and by four brothers: Artnur, Émile, Robert and Freddie.

DORIS LANDRY
1922- 2001
Doris Landry, 78, of Gaspé St. Dieppe, passed away Sunday March 25, 2001 at the Moncton Hospital.
Born May 9, 1922 in Moncton she was the daughter of the late André Bastarache and the late Emelia Leblanc.
After 30 years as a certified hairdresser , she then worked as a receptionist with the Moncton Animal Clinic. In her retirement years, she crafted over 800 hats for oncology departement . For her efforts she was named Maritimer of the week last fall by ATV.
She will be sadly missed by her 5 daughters: Susan Melanson ( Teddy ) of Moncton, Carol Caron ( Val ) of Gardner Mass., Louise Arsenault ( Francis ), Denise Gallant ( Mike ), Lucille Robinson ( Larry ), all of Dieppe; a son: Terry (Margaret ) of Moncton; a sister Eileen Boucher ( Laurie ) of St-Anselme; a brother: Terry ( Marie-Anne ) of Grand Falls; by 13 grand children: Greg, Debbie, Tammy, Scott, David, Dale, Marcia. Jason, Carey, Michael, Christopher, Melissa, and Jenica; 4 great grand children; Michelle, Allysa , Alysa-Lynn, and Jacob.
She was predeceased by her husband Omer Landry , sisters; Iola and Audrey: brothers; Emery and Ronny.
Resting at Frenette Funeral Home 88 Church St. Moncton. (858-1900 ) with visitation on Tuesday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
The funeral mass will be celebrate at 11a.m. on Wednesday March 28 ,2001 at the Assumption Cathedral, Moncton.
Interment in our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Dieppe.

ANNE-MARIE KOWALCHUK
1946 - 2001
COCAGNE-Mrs. Anne-Marie Kowalchuk, 55, wife of Russ Kowalchuk of Cocagne passed away after a brief illness at the Moncton Hospital, Moncton on Wednesday, March 28, 2001.
Born in Cocagne, she was the daughter of the late Clovis Leblanc and the late Nora Goguen. Anne-Marie was a regional communications officer with the National Parole Board in Moncton for the past 25 years. She attended Saint-Pierre Roman Catholic Church in Cocagne.
Anne-Marie will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by her loving husband Russ, six sisters : Edna Leblanc (Laurie) of Bouctouche, Cecile Despres (Raoul) and Yvonne Boleyn (Alfred) all of Cocagne, Jeanne Mack (Edward) and Camilla Savoie (Lee Smallwood) all of Moncton, Mai Bourgeois (Leonard) of Grande-Digue; a brother Paul Leblanc (Rosemonde) of Cocagne and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by a brother René Leblanc in 1983.
Resting at Saint-Pierre R.C. Church slumber room in Cocagne with visitation on Thursday from 7 to 9p.m. and on Friday from 2 to 4p.m. and from 6p.m. till hour of funeral. The funeral mass will be celebrated at 7p.m. on Friday, March 30, 2001 at Saint-Pierre Roman Catholic Church , Cocagne with Rev. Yvon Arsenault officiating. Interment in the parish Cemetery.

Mrs. Laura Doiron, 93 , of Résidence Beau Séjour, Shediac and formerly of Riverside Dr., Shediac passed away at the residence on Thursday, March 29, 2001.
Born in Saint-Ignace, she was the daughter of the late John Daigle and the late Elizabeth Guimond. Laura was a retired school teacher and attended Saint-Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Shediac.
Laura will be sadly missed by her son Eugène Leblanc of Scarborough, Ont., two stepdaugthers : Florence Crossman (Avard) and Thérèse Kay (Johnny) of Truro, N.S.; a stepson Léonide Leblanc (Doris) of Dieppe, six sisters : Alma Blanchard of Moncton, Albertine Gallant (Alban) of Souris, P.E.I., Sr. Maria Daigle, c. n.d. of Notre-Dame, Yvette Doiron of Charlottetown, P.E.I., Cecile Poirier (Georges) of Grande-Digue and Antoinette Cormier of Ottawa, Ont.; one brother Eloi Daigle (Gilberte) of Saint-John; 3 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren.
Laura was predeceased by her 1st husband Angus Leblanc in 1975, her 2nd husband Gérard Doiron in 1983, three stepdaughters : Angelique Lyndsay, Aurore Leblanc and Anna Cormier ; three sisters : Lina Leblanc, infant Rita and Régina and three brothers : Rev. Alyre Daigle, Aurèle and Arthur Daigle.

1933 - 2001
Roger Joseph DesRoches, 67, of Wilson Road, Riverview, passed away Wednesday March 14, 2001 at The Moncton Hospital. following a lengthy illness.
Born April 5, 1933, in Moncton, he was the son of the late Edmond DesRoches, and the late Zelia Leblanc.
He is survived by several nieces, nephews, and many friends.
He was predeceased by his sisters Clara Leblanc, Anita Poirier, and brother Harvey.

Mrs. Lorraine Cormier, 78, of Essex St., Moncton passed away at the palliative care unit of the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital, Moncton on Thursday, March 29th, 2001.
Born in Haute-Aboujagane, she was the daughter of the late Raymond Leblanc and the late Elise Melanson. Lorraine was a member of Christ Roi Golden Age Club and the Christ Roi Roman Catholic Church, Moncton.
Lorraine will be sadly missed by her daughter Pauline Boudreau (late Roger) of Shediac; two sons : Paul Cormier (Ginney) of Ottawa, Ont. and Charles (Fernande) of Moncton; four sisters : Yvonne Leblanc (late Antoine) and Aurore Silas (Harold) all of Shediac, Beatrice Goguen (late Edgar) of Moncton, Claudette Allain (Donald) Witby, Ont.; a brother : Alphège Leblanc of Toronto, Ont.; two grandchildren : April and Mike, two great grandchildren : Victoria and Joshua and several nieces and nephews.
Lorraine is predeceased by her husband Joseph ``Joe`` Cormier in 1990, a sister Ida Gallant and two brothers : Léandre and Ola Leblanc.

Léo J. Belliveau
1917 - 2001
Léo J. Belliveau, 84, of Villa de Repos, Moncton, formerly of Winter Avenue, Moncton, passed away Thursday March 22, 2001 at The Moncton Hospital following a lengthy illness.
Born January 5, 1917 in Moncton, he was the son of the late Denis Belliveau, and the late Dauphine Bourgeois.
He retired from Atlantic Wholesalers after 40 years of service. He was Past Director Dominion Store in Moncton, a 3rd degree member Knights of Columbus Council 6468, member Royal Canadian Legion, Moncton Branch No.6, past member Beauséjour Curling Club, and served in armed forces overseas during W.W. 2 with NB Rangers West Nova Regiment as Lieutenant.
He is survived by his wife, Elzire (Rioux) Belliveau, a daughter Carmel Cyr (Robert) of Moncton; four sons: Charles of Saint-John, Raymond (Grace) of St-Eustache, PQ, Maurice (Nicole) of Moncton, Marc Belliveau of Brome, PQ; two sisters: Doris Belliveau of Moncton, Maria Larose of Montreal, 11 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren.
He was predeceased by an infant daughter Suzanne; sisters: Anita, Anna; brothers: Walter, and Yvon.
Resting at Frenette Funeral Home, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900). Visiting hours Thursday from 7-9 p.m., Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m., Saturday from10 a.m. until time of departure (10:45). The Royal Canadian Legion, Moncton Branch No. 6, will hold a legion service Friday evening at 7 p.m. from the funeral home, followed by a Knights of Columbus service at 8 p.m.

CYRUS ARSENAULT
1910 – 2001
Mr. Cyrus Arsenault, 90, of the Villa Heritage, Moncton and formerly of Richibouctou passed away at the Moncton Hospital, Moncton on Wednesday, March 28, 2001.
Born in Saint-Anne-de-Kent, September 30, 1910, he was the son of the late Maurice Arsenault and late Marianne Bourque. Cyrus was employed with N.D.S.C. on King St., Moncton before retiring. He was a member of Notre-Dame-de-la-Paix Roman Catholic Church, Humphrey.
Cyrus will be sadly missed by his two daugthers : Annette Leblanc (Rozaire) of Fredericton, Noreen Lamontagne (Almire) of Québec City, Qc.; three sons : Paul Arsenault (Jeannine) of Moncton, Philippe Arsenault (Yolande) of Petit-Rocher and Emile Arsenault of Toronto, Ont.; a brother Philippe Arsenault of Saint-John, N.B. , a daughter-in-law Pam Arsenault of Moncton, 9 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his wife Marguerite (Richard) in 1971, two sons : Emile and Alvin Arsenault and several brothers and sisters.

AUGUSTE CORMIER
1911 – 2001
HAUTE-ABOUJAGANE-Mr. Auguste Cormier, 89, of the Manoir-de-la-Bûte, Cap-Pelé and formerly of Haute-Aboujagane passed away after a short illness at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital, Moncton on Friday, April 6th, 2001.
Born in Haute-Aboujagane, July 29th, 1911, he was the son of the late Arthur Cormier and the late Léonie Léger. Auguste was a retired carpenter, a member of the Haute-Aboujagane Golden Age Club and attended Sacré Coeur Roman Catholic Church in Haute-Aboujagane.
Auguste will be sadly missed by his wife Bertha (Boudreau) Cormier of Manoir-de-la-Bûte, Cap-Pelé, six daughters : Bernice Petitpas (late Alcide), Simone Petitpas (Alyre), Antoinette Leblanc (Régis), Géraldine Belliveau (Yvon), Jeannette Ouellette (Clorice) and Juliette Boudreau (Coral) all of Haute-Aboujagane; three sisters : Exelda Leblanc (late Aldophe) of Dieppe, Céline Cormier (late Fred) and Mathilda Cormier both of Sackville , 23 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren, one great great grandchild and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by two brothers : Camille and Henri Cormier and two sisters : Agnes and Anna Richard.

Phyllis Henri, 71, wife of the late Laurie Henri, of Villa de Repos, formerly of Cedar Street, Moncton, passed away Wednesday July 30, 2003 at the residence following a lengthy illness.
Born November 12, 1932 in Moncton, she was the daughter of the late François, and Rose-Elva (Bernard) Arsenault.
She is survived by two sons: Maurice (Louise), and Donald Henri both of Moncton; two sisters: Jeannette Arsenault, and Bernice Fogarty (William) both of Moncton; her former daughter-in-law Marlene, grandchildren Julien, and Stephanie.
Remains resting at Frenette Funeral Home, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900). Visiting hours Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m., Monday from 9:30 a.m. until time of departure (10:15).
