The death of Evelyn Parsons of New Zion, NB occurred Sunday, November 30, 2003 at the Oromocto Public Hospital.
Born in Rogersville, NB she was the daughter of the late James and Isabella (Bernard) Hachey.
Survived by companion Ralph Jones; a son Kenneth Parson (Bonnie) of Quebec; 5 daughters Elsie Gauthier of Moncton, Dorothy Parson of Quebec, Vera Parson of Minto, Ruth Gauthier of Sunnyside Beach and Alice Stone of Ontario; several grandchildren and great grandchildren many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Evelyn was predeceased by her husband Harry Parsons; sons James and Henry; a daughter Mary- Evelyn; brothers Eugene and Henry Hachey; sisters Alice, Florence and Josephine.
At Evelyn s request, there will be no Funeral Service or visitation.
Interment of ashes will take place at a later date. Funeral arrangements are under the care of the Minto Funeral Home 327-3490
Dennis M. Copeland The death of Dennis M. Copeland of Minto occurred Sunday, November 30th, 2003 at his home.
Born in Midlands, NB he was the son of the late Arnold and Della (Brown) Copeland.
Dennis is survived by 3 sons, Brent (Brandie-Lee) of Chipman, Darren of Fredericton and Craig (Rhonda) of Minto; 3 grandchildren, Dalton, Tyler and Brittany; 4 sisters, Barbara (Herb) Hawkins of Fredericton, Lavolia MacRae of Minto, Beth (Gary) Fulton of Noonan and Dale (Roger) Thompson of Midlands; 3 brothers, Murray (Irene) Copeland of Hardwood Ridge, Chesley (Judy) Copeland of Salmon Creek and Larry (Jane) Copeland of Midlands; several neices, nephews and cousins.

Born in Minto, NB he was the son of the late Eldon and Ada (Betts) Dykeman.
Survived by 3 sons, Scott, Shawn and Mike all of Minto; a daughter, Kim Dykeman (Doug West) of Chipman; a granddaughter, Destiny Faith; 2 brothers, Walter of Minto and Albert of Kingston Peninsula; 5 sisters Doreen Young, Ethel Milberry, Barbara Hoyt (Arnold Walsh), Leota Mountain (Steve) all of Minto and Linda Sabien (Wayne) of Barnsville; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Norman was predeceased by his wife Donna Dykeman in 2000; 3 brothers, Edgar, James and Harold; 2 sisters, Bernice McNeil and Christina Maston.

Lloyd B. MacFarlane
The death of Lloyd B. MacFarlane of Scotchtown, NB occurred Tuesday, November 11th, 2003 at his home.
Born in Fredericton, NB, he was the son of the late Otto and Mildred (Hunter) MacFarlane.
A life long resident of Scotchtown, he was a dedicated farmer, farming his entire life.
Lloyd is survived by 2 sisters, Fern Anthony and Jean Young both of Fredericton, several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to both his parents, he was predeceased by a brother Clare.

The death of Ervin Ralph Post, of Scotchtown, NB occurred Monday, November 10, 2003 at the Saint John Regional Hospital.
Born in Douglas Harbour, NB he was the son of the late Ralph and Stella (Stewart) Post.
Survived by his wife Margaret (Jonah) Post; 2 sons Jonathan and Matthew; a daughter Lisa Post all of Clarks Corner, NB; 6 sisters Linda Corey (Jim) and Joyce Tibbits (Garland) both of Ripples, NB, Donna McKellar (David) and Nancy Wong (Mike) both of Douglas Harbour, NB, Jean Smith (Merlin) of Clarks Corner, NB and Audrey Daamen of Minto, NB.
In addition to his parents, Ervin was predeceased by a sister Carol and a brother Milford.
A graveside service was held 11:00AM Thursday, November 13th, 2003 at the Scotchtown Cemetery.
Allan Mark 'Bird' Coakley
1927 - 2003
passed away peacefully, surrounded by family and friends, at the Saint John Regional Hospital, on Nov 9, 2003. Bird was born in Minto NB on March 27, 1927. He is survived by his wife, Ruth (Hoyt) two daughters Pam (Leonard), and Cindy, one son Mark (Shelley), six grandchildren, Dale (Alison), Michael, Ian, Natasha, Chyann, and Michaela. Two great-grandchildren, Finlay and Spencer. Two sisters, Geraldine Hoyt (Coakley), Reta Wolfe (Coakley), and several Nieces and Nephews. Predeceased by one son, Maynard.
Visiting hours will be held at the Minto Funeral Home on Wednesday, November 12, from 2-4 pm and from 7-9 pm. A celebration of Bird's life will be take place in the Parker Memorial Chapel at 2pm on Thursday, November 13. Internment of ashes in the Baptist Cemetery, Newcastle Bridge will follow. Donations to your charity of choice would be appreciated by the family.
Cynthia Amelia Sypher
Sypher, Cynthia Amelia of Newcastle Creek passed away at the Queen s North Health Complex on Tuesday, February 20th, 2001. At the age of 85.
Born in Midlands, NB on February 18th, 1916, she was the daughter of the late Melbourne and Ida (Barnes) Darrah.
She is survived by a son, Willard and his wife Lorna of Fredericton; 3 grandchildren, Patty Sypher of Halifax, Greg Sypher, Mark and his wife Mary-Jane, 2 great grandchildren Jillian and Sara-Jane Sypher of Fredericton; 2 brothers, Willard Darrah and his wife Mary of Brooksville, Florida, John Darrah and his wife Viola of Midlands, NB; several nieces, nephews and cousins
She was predeceased by her husband Benton, a son Clinton and a sister Hazel Darrah.

Guillaume (Gillie) F. Keyeux
The death of Guillaume (Gillie) F. Keyeux of Minto, NB occurred Monday, March 17, 2003 at the W.G. Bishop Nursing Home.
Born in Belgium, he was the son of the late Frank and Mary (Adam) Keyeux.
Gillie was a foreman with Mirimachi Lumber for several years. a member of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church and sang in the church choir over 50 years. He also was an honorary member of the Knights of Columbus.
Survived by his loving wife Beatrice (Ouellette) Keyeux; a son Armand Keyeux (Freda); a granddaughter Carla all of Minto, NB.
In addition to his parents Gillie, was predeceased by a brother John and a sister Alice.

On July 16th 2003, George Raymond Kennedy went home to be with his Lord.

Also survived by ten grandchildren, ten great grandchildren; brothers, sister, many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by a son in law and one grandson.

Velma Caroline Graves
Velma Caroline Graves (Budd), age 87, of Minto, passed away peacefully at the W. G. Bishop Nursing Home on Saturday, August 2nd, 2003.
She was the daughter of the late William and Annie Budd, born on April 1st, 1916 in Coates Mills, Kent Co., NB.
She is survived and will be sadly missed by her six daughters; Kathleen Crawford (Ed) of Huntsville, ON, Helen Kramer (Werner), Shirley Quigley (Floyd), Marlene Morrell (Dave), Donna Vandenborre (Maurice), Debbie Dufour (Peter) and one daughter-in-law Mary Lou Graves all of Minto, NB. She is also survived by her 19 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren; a sister Viola McLean of Florida, a brother Clarence Budd (Ollie) of Bowser, BC and many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Ben and a son Bob (Dick); three sisters, Alice, Verna and Elizabeth, two brothers, Walter and Bedford.

James Forrester
The death of James Forrester of Newcastle Creek, NB occurred Thursday, July 24th, 2003 at the Queen s North Health Complex, Minto, NB.
Born 1907 in Glasgow, Scotland immigrated to Canada in 1922, was a member of Newcastle Creek United Baptist Church, a choir member for many years and enjoyed singing. Jimmy served overseas and was a veteran of WWII. He retired from Avon Coal Company and was a member of NB Coal Board. Jimmy enjoyed his camp at Princess Park with his family and Friends. Well known for his garden, and has had memorial trips back to Scotland.
Survived by his loving wife Freda M. (Barton) Forrester of Newcastle Creek, NB; 2 sons, Thomas Elery (Jane) of Minto, NB and William James of Newcastle Creek, NB; a daughter, Faye Watson (Austin) of Marysville; a granddaughter Susan (Andy) of Minto, NB; a great granddaughter Emily; a sister, Chrissy Forrester of Scotland; a niece, Irene McLean (Roy).
Predeceased by 2 sisters Kate Cummings and Agnes Colmar; a brother William Forrester.

John Lester Crowley
The death of John Lester Crowley of New Zion, NB occurred Friday, January 17th, 2003 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital, Fredericton.
Born in Bognor Regis, England, he was the son of John (Jack) and Kitty (Jacobs) Crowley.
Since retiring, John was fortunate to have been able to pursue his passion for painting, some of which may be viewed on the JLC website (http://www.webruler.com/creativity)
In addition to his parents in Edmonton, AB, John is survived by his wife Carol (Glenn) Crowley and 2 daughters, Elizabeth and Tara all of New Zion; a brother Daniel Crowley (Lois) of Grand Prairie, AB; 3 sisters, Vicki Eichenlaub of Edmonton, AB, Gayle Eldert (Mike) of Virginia, USA and Carol Crowley of Calgary, AB and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service celebrating the life of John will be held 12:00 noon, Wednesday, January 22nd, 2003 at the Parker Memorial Chapel of the Minto Funeral Home with Rev. David Lutes officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations made to a charity for abused children.

Born in North Minto, NB he was the son of the late Melase and Philomene (Thibodeau) Cormier.
Edgar is survived by his loving wife Lillian Florence Cormier (Irene Geneau) of Minto, NB; 2 daughters Barbara Boucher (Robert) of Clarks Corner, NB and Irene Cormier (Rene) of Minto, NB; 6 sons Camille of Minto, NB, George (Betty) of Fredericton, NB, Fred (Carol) of Hamilton, ON, John (Sandra) of Mississauga, ON, Paul of Pickering, ON and Peter of Mississauga, ON; 6 grandchildren Michael Laking, Ashley Cormier, Samantha Cormier, Keith Cormier, Taylor Cormier and Stephen Richard also survived by several step-grandchildren.

Survived by 2 sons, Victor Clark (Barbara) of Sunnyside Beach, NB and Daniel Clark (Charlotte) of Michigan; 4 sisters, Carole Rolston of New Market, ON, Chrystal Krick of Stoney Creek, ON, Anna (Nan) Brankley of Capreal, ON and Catherine Ferris of Saint John, NB; a special friend Lorna MacFarlane of Scotchtown, NB; 7 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Born in Minto, NB he was the son of Irene (Higgins) Barton of Newcastle Bridge, NB and the late Basil Barton.
In addition to his mother Irene, Robert is survived by his loving wife Esther May (Thompson) Barton; children Sonny, Bonnie, Debbie, Carlotta, Neil, Joann, Betty, Bobby and Arthur; 7 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren; 3 sisters, Treva Robichaud (Leo) of ON, Winona Cple (Ronald) of Chipman and Cheryl Corkum (Karl) of NS; 2 brothers, Glendon Barton of ON, Michael Barton of AB and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his father Basil, son Douglas, sister Ruth McLean and brothers Murray Barton (Bud) and Gary Barton.

The death of Robert Everett Bailey of Minto, NB occurred on Wednesday, February 5th, 2003 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital.
Born in Newcastle Bridge, NB he was the son of the late Frank and Minnie (McMann) Bailey.
Self employed for 43 years, Bob and Clara owned and operated Robert Bailey Ltd. He was a past master of the Grand Lake Lodge No. 47 F&AM, a member of Hiram Lodge No. 6 F&AM, the Scottish Rite and the Minto Senior Citizens.
Survived by his loving wife Marie Clara (Thibodeau) Bailey of Minto, NB; a son, Scott Bailey (Suzanne) of Ottawa, ON; a daughter, Sherry Bailey (Bill) of Fort McMurray, AB; 2 granddaughters, Nicole and Michelle; a brother, Harold Bailey (Eunice) of Minto, NB; 3 sisters, Lois Leffley of Moncton, NB, Greta Jones (Roy) and Lena Meade (Lawrence) both of Fredericton, NB; a sister-in-law, Marie Bailey of Minto, NB; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Bob was predeceased by a brother Donald.
There will be no visitation. Funeral Service will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, February 8th, 2003 at the United Baptist Church of Minto with Pastors Kaj Binderup and Lawrence Meade officiating. Spring Interment will take place in the Newcastle Bridge United Baptist Cemetery.

Earl Eldridge MacBeth
The death of Earl Eldridge MacBeth of Ripples, NB occurred at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital on Tuesday, December 03, 2002. He was 81 years of age. Born on April 20, 1921, he was the son of the late James and Lillian (MacDonald) MacBeth.
Earl was a veteran of World War II, having spent four years in a Hong Kong prison camp. He was employed as a game warden with the Department of Natural Resources for thirty years. He was a devoted family man, and his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were the joys of his life. He was a kind, caring, and generous man who enjoyed spending his spare time with his family, especially his grandson Jeff, whom he loved to go driving around with and hunting.
Survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Peggy (Corbin) MacBeth, one son Kevin of Ripples, daughter Debby, and son-in-law Paul Cunningham of Fredericton, grandchildren, Debbie Jordan (James), Jeffrey, Stacey and Courtney Fulton, and son-in-law Eugene Fulton all of Ripples, Joey, Holly and Jake MacBeth, all of Fredericton; brother Robert of Chipman and sisters Doris Beatty (Claude) of Moncton, and Jean Brown of Arlington, Mass, numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by one daughter, Linda Fulton in 1998, brothers, Melvin, George, Lorne, Arnold and sisters Ethie and Pauline
Visitation will be held at the Minto Funeral Home, Minto, NB on Thursday, December 5, 2002 for relative and friends from 2:00 4:00 pm and 7:00 9:00 pm. Funeral service will be held on Friday, December 6, 2002 at 2:00 PM from the Alfred Parker Memorial Chapel, Minto, NB with Rev. Stephen Tompkins officiating. Interment will take place in the MacBeth Family Cemetery, Ripples, NB.

Violet Una Barbara Jenkins
The death of Violet Una Barbara Jenkins, 91, of Chipman occurred Wednesday, February 14th, 2001 at the W.G. Bishop Nursing Home, Minto, NB.
Born at Apple River, NS, she was the daughter of the late Nathan and Mary (Neeves) Sabean.
Violet is survived by 4 sons, Gerald Selwah (Shirley) of Mississauga, ON, Wayne Selwah (Maureen) of Colpitts Settlement, NB, George Selwah (Elizabeth) of Picton, ON and Tremaine Selwah of Etobicoke, ON; 2 daughters, Valerie Clark (David) of Lawrencetown, NS and Rosemary Swan of Kingston, NS; 1 daughter-in-law Geisla Selwah of Mississauga, ON; 7 step-sons, 2 step-daughters, 11 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
Her first husband Ivan Selwah, her second husband Irvine Jenkins, a son Franklyn, a grandson Michael, son-in-law Robert Swan and 2 brothers, Lovell Sabean and Tilford Sabean, predeceased her.
Resting at the Minto Funeral Home (327-3490) where the family will receive visitors on Friday from 3-5 and 7-9pm and from where the funeral service will be held in the Parker Memorial Chapel on Saturday, February 17th, 2001 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Ronald Cple officiating assisted by Rev. Jim McLaughlin. Interment will take place in the United Pentecostal Cemetery, Chipman, NB. Norma Noreen Austin
The death of Norma Noreen Austin of Minto, NB occurred Monday, November 11th, 2002 at the Dr. Everett Chalmer s Hospital.
Born in Nashwaaksis, NB she was the daughter of the late Charles and Florence (Henderson) Ross.
Norma enjoyed being surrounded by her loving family and her beloved Poodle (Ebony) and was an avid Bingo Player.
Norma is survived by a son Tim Austin (Loretta); 2 daughters, Doreen DiPaolo (John) and Kimberly Austin; a brother Wayne Chambers (Elaine) all of Minto NB; 6 grandchildren Crystal, Florence, Nicole (Raymond), Kevin, Whitney and Juliano; 2 great grandchildren Alex and Max; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Norma was predeceased by her husband Golden Austin in 1989; a son Guy, a daughter Wanda; 2 brothers Sterling and Gerald Ross; 2 sisters Joyce Ross and Jean Ross Fulton.

George A. Anderson
The death of George A. Anderson of Minto occurred Thursday, January 23rd, 2003 at the Queen s North Health Complex.
Born at Cumberland Bay, NB he was the son of the late Harry and Annie (Jenkins) Anderson.
In addition to his wife Nathalie (Parker) Anderson, George is survived by a son Clayton Anderson (Debbie) of Estavan, SK; 2 daughters, Gloria Courser (David) of Wuhr s Beach, NB and Donna Dunn (Brian) of Wilmot, NS; 7 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren; a brother Harold Anderson (Margaret) of Saint John, NB and several nieces and nephews.
Resting at the United Baptist Church of Minto where visitation will take place on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9pm and from where the funeral service will be held on Monday, January 27th, 2003 at 2:00 PM, with Pastor Kaj Binderup officiating. Spring Interment will take place in the United Baptist Cemetery, Minto, NB.
