The death of Glennie Geraldine Zwicker occurred at the Sussex Health Centre on May 12, 2002. Born at Church Street, Kings Co., Nova Scotia on December 10, 1936 a daughter of the late Lawson J. and Dorothy (Lantz) Myra. She is survived by a son Lindsay (Trina) Zwicker of Seabright, NS, sisters, Betty Mason (Albert) of Mossley, ON, Andrea Sweeny (Hugh) of Centreville, NS and Arleen Lively (Ross) of Greenwood, NS, a brother Lawson Myra (Jean Brown) of Sussex, NB, four grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive visitors at the Sussex Select Community Funeral Home, 21 Aiton Road Sussex (506-433-2133) on Wednesday from 10-12 Noon. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday May 15, 2002 at 2:00 PM in the Sussex Select Community Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will take place in Evergreen Memorial Park, Sussex. Kevin Jonathon Renshaw
The death of Kevin Jonathon Renshaw of Kincardine, ON occurred on June 14. 2003. Born at Toronto on January 1, 1979, the son of Angela Valley and Kevin Renshaw. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his paternal grandmother Joan Renshaw , his maternal grandmother Joan Valley-Drennan of ON and maternal grandfather Clarence Valley (Marilyn) of Oromocto, his brother Daniel Valley and sister Jessica Valley of ON, several great aunts and great uncles, several aunts and uncles and cousins.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday June 21, 2003 at 10:00 AM at St. Francis Xavier Roman Catholic Church, Sussex. Interment will be at Cardwell Cemetery, Penobsquis. Diana M. (Earle) (Snow) Raymond
The death of Diana M. Raymond of Sussex occurred at the Sussex Health Center on May 29, 2003. Diana was the wife of Richard L. (Ray) Raymond.
She was born at Saint John on October 1, 1931 a daughter of the late Morrison (Happy) and Lillian (Sydney) Earle.
Diana was a graduate of the Saint John General Hospital School of Nursing Class of 1953 and went on to work at the Kings County Memorial Hospital and Sussex Health Center retiring as Supervisor of the O.R. and Emergency Departments.
In addition to her husband she is survived by her children Lynn Alward (Douglas) of Rothesay, Blair Snow (Diane) of Sussex, Geoffrey Snow (Catherine) of Quispamsis and Jennifer Reid (Andrew) of Nepean, Ontario; grandchildren Michael, Christina and James Alward, Melissa, Nicholas, Sara and Katie Snow, Brandon, Tyler and Ryley Snow, Jessica and Brady Reid; sister Beverly Bates (Jack) of Kitchener, Ontario, several nieces and nephews.
Diana was predeceased by her brother Michael Earle.
The family will receive visitors at Sussex Select Community Funeral Home, 21 Aiton Road, Sussex (506-433-2133) on Saturday from 6-9 PM and Sunday from 2-5 PM.
The funeral service will be held on Monday June 2, 2003 at 2:00 PM at St. Mark's Anglican Church, Sussex Corner conducted by Reverend Allen Tapley.

Harold M. Prosser
Harold M. Prosser of Penobsqusis, NB. son of the late Mary and Joseph Prosser passed away at the Saint John Regional Hospital on May 17, 2003.
Husband of the late Lois Esther Prosser. He is survived by his daughters, Audrey (Allen) Davis, Esther (Robert) Tobin, Jane (George Kennedy), sons, Joseph (Jane) Prosser and Ira (Janice) Prosser, ten grandchildren; Allen and Kimberley Davis, Troy, Jennifer, Derek and Melissa Tobin, Krista and Shawn Prosser and Ryan and Adam Prosser, three great grandchildren; Christian and Kelci Tobin and Jeremy Prosser, sister-in-law, Audrey (Harley) Oulton, brother-in-law, Robert (Donna) Jeffries, sisters-in-law, Shirley (Donald) McFarlane, Doreen Jeffries, Jean Prosser and Lena Prosser and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers, William, Danny, John, Elmer, Ernest and Everett Prosser and a sister, May Richardson. Harold was employed by SMT for forty years. He enjoyed his camp in Goshen where he spent time hunting, fishing and snowmobiling with his family and friends.

Charles R. Polley
The death of Charlie Richard Polley of Newtown occurred on May 27, 2003. Charlie was the husband of Marion (Cooper) Polley of Newton. Born on April 28, 1922 at Clones, NB a son of the late Harry and Elsie (Reader) Polley. In addition to his wife, Charlie is survived by his daughters, Ann Coates (Ron) of Knightville Road and Faye Mills (David) of Martinon, NB, ten grandchildren, Heather Coates (Bruce Levesque), Jeffrey Coates, Jennifer (Adam) Hornbrook, Brent and Julie Coates and Jonathan, Jason, Krista, Justin and Joshua Mills, four great grandchildren, Andrew and Ty Hornbrook and Jessica and Brittany Levesque, a sister Ethel Murphy of Douglastown and brothers Walter (Greta) Polley of Sussex and Bill Polley of Renforth and several nieces and nephews. Charlie was predeceased by his brother Spencer Polley.
Charlie was a member of the Smiths Creek United Church, the Salmon Association and the Sussex Fish and Game Association.

Kathleen (Kay) Patriquen
The death of Kathleen (Kay) Patriquen occurred at the Sussex Health Centre on Saturday September 21, 2002. Kay was born on October 24, 1925 a daughter of the late Ken and Greta Nason and wife of the late Glendon Patriquen. Kay is survived by her daughters; Barbara Patriquen of Saint John and Linda Patriquen of Fredericton, granddaughters; Melinda and Katie Reevie, sister-in-law, Bessie Patriquen of Sussex and niece Jane (Neil) Hanlon of Saint John. Besides her parents and husband, Kay was predeceased by a brother Ronald Nason.

Harley DeForrest Oulton
The death of Harley DeForrest Oulton of Sussex occurred at the Sussex Health Centre on June 29, 2003. Born on November 11, 1917 a son of the late Hartland D. and Elizabeth (Bowser) Oulton and husband of Audrey (Jeffries) Oulton. Besides Audrey he is survived by brothers; Victor (Alice) Oulton of Moncton and John (Dorothy) Gordon of Calgary, several nieces and nephews. Harley was predeceased by his sister Bernadette Lowther and brothers, Ronald, Carl and Borden.
Harley was a Veteran of World War II and was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion for over 55 years.

Hubert Ashley Morey
The death of Hubert Ashley Morey of Penobsquis occurred at the Sussex Health Centre on April 9, 2003 at the age of 77. He was predeceased by his wife Rose Aime (Pare) Smith Morey, his parents J. Herbert and Margaret L. (Graves) Morey, two brothers Lloyd and Ronald (Buddy). He is survived by a stepson Allan (Leslie) Smith, three step grandchildren Jeff (Lori Robinson), Brad and Kim Smith, two close cousins Alice Weldon and Beatrice Sproule and several other cousins. Ashley will also be missed by his chosen family George, Josie, Colton, Chandra and Janelle McPhee and Terry, Cathy, Kate and Tilly Bannister. Ashley was a farmer and woods worker his entire life, an active member of the PC Party and a member of the Goshen Snowmobile Club. He loved fishing, hunting, four-wheeling, fiddling and travel.

Carlene Wendy Mercer
The death of Carlene Wendy Mercer of Calais, ME occurred at the Eastern Maine Medical Centre in Bangor on September 28, 2002. Born at Sussex on September 10, 1954, she was a daughter of Carl and Margaret (Aiton) Mercer of Norton, NB. Besides her parents, Wendy is survived by her sisters Bonnie Mercer of Cassidy Lake, NB and Carmen Whittier of St. Stephen, NB, nieces, Shona Maddocks, Archlyn Hoss, Christie and Lee Whittier, nephews Corey Marraty and David Whittier, five great nieces and nephews and several cousins.

E. Bertha (Bertie) McLeod
The death of E.Bertha (Bertie) McLeod, of Lakeside,N.B. occurred on March 16,2003 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born on February 15,1933 at Saint John, she was a daughter of the late John Arthur and Dorothy (Losier)Wedge. Bertie worked at the Co-Operators Insurance for 25 years retiring in 1989. She is survived by husband Gordon Dunfield ,sisters Dolores Oram of Hammond River, N.B.; Gloria McKinney of Riverview, N.B. and several nieces and nephews. Bertie was predeceased by husband Lawrence McLeod and brother John Wedge.
By Bertie s request cremation will be followed by private Interment at St. Martins Community Cemetery, St. Martins, N.B. in the spring. Thomas Levesque
The death of Thomas Levesque of Sussex Corner, NB occurred on September 15, 2002 at the Sussex Health Centre. Born in Drummond, NB on September 16, 1922, he was a son of the late Louis and Marie (Dufour) Levesque. Thomas was a veteran of World War II. He is survived by his wife Clara (Liddle) Levesque, daughters; Sharron Greer (Al) of Wasago Beach, ON, Judy Anger (Tim) of Sussex, Gail Fenwick (John) of Minden, ON and Joyanne Levesque (Bruce) of Sussex, sons; John (Brenda) Levesque of Newcastle, ON, Clifford Levesque of Savona, BC, Terry Levesque and Peter (Clorice) Levesque both of Sussex, 20 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Theresa Wood (Phillip) of Old Town, Maine and brothers; Leo (Ernestine) Levesque of New Denmark, NB, Clifford (Avis) Levesque of Wapski, NB and Phillip Levesque of Ontario, several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sisters; Yvonne St. Peter, Alice Albert and Gertrude Albert and brothers Edmond and Samuel Levesque.

Dallas Hawkes
The death of Dallas Hawkes of Sussex occurred at the Sussex Health Center on March 20, 2003. Dallas was born at Sussex, New Brunswick a son of the late Robert Cyrus and Nettie Mable (Orr) Hawkes. Dallas is survived by his wife Eleanor, son Wayne and daughter-in-law Judy of Riverview, NB, five grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He was predeceased by son Douglas, brothers Earle, Albin and Vincent and sister Marguerite DeBow.
Dallas volunteered for many organizations and was recently honored for 50 years of service as Treasurer of Trinity Anglican Church, Sussex. He worked in accounting and office management for G.A. Crothers Ltd.

The funeral will be held at the Trinity Anglican Church, Sussex, on Sunday March 23, 2003 at 2:00 PM with Reverend David Barrett officiating. The death of Lloyd Harold Hall of Sussex occurred at the Sussex Health Centre on May 3, 2002. Born at Jordan Mountain on August 7, 1920 a son of the late Edward and Mary (King) Hall. Lloyd is survived by his wife Stella (Payne) Hall, a son Ray Hall and his wife Donna of Roachville, grandchildren Sarah Vail (Jeff), Adam Hall and his friend Wendy Wagner and Philip and his friend Heather Nowlan, his sisters; Jean Carten of Saint John and Frances Long (Cecil) of Smith Creek, several nieces and nephews. Lloyd was predeceased by his sisters, Helen Chambers, Edna Chestnut and Florence Charboneau and brothers, Charlie, Clayton, Kenneth, Roy and Earl.

Alexis M. Greenlaw
On December 16, 2001, our littlest Angel went to Heaven. Alexis Michelle Greenlaw, daughter of Angela Greenlaw and Trevor Manning at her home in Apohaqui. Also surviving, three sisters, Dakota, Kristen and Samantha, grandparents, Morris Anderson, Barbara Manning, William (Bill) and Mildred Steen and special aunt Dallas. Frederick A. Ferris
The death of Frederick A. Ferris of Penobsquis, New Brunswick occurred at the Sussex Health Centre on June 25, 2003.
Born at Oak Point, NB on December 19, 1935 a son of Alice J. (Hope) Ferris of Garnett Settlement and the late Eldon W. Ferris. He is also survived by his wife M. Melvine (Harquail) Ferris, daughters; Cindy Valliant (Jack) of Forester Hills, ON, Brenda Thomas of Rothesay, Carol Ferris of Saint John, sons; James Ferris of Saint John, Brian (Pam) Ferris of Saint John and George (Barbara) Ferris of Fredericton, six grandchildren, brothers; Benny of Garnett Settlement, Eldon of Saint John, Norman of Willow Grove and his sister Ruth Ferris of Garnett Settlement and several nieces and nephews.
Frederick was a long time employee of the Saint John Ship Builders.

Phyllis B. Buchanan
The death of Phyllis B. Buchanan of Apohaqui, NB occurred at her residence on June 2, 2002. She was born at Bournemouth, England on August 13, 1922 a daughter of the late Ernest and Elizabeth (Yoe) Clayton. Phyllis is survived by a daughter Elaine Hourihan (Gerry) of Apohaqui, a son Graham Buchanan of Sussex Corner, grandchildren Shayne and Mark Buchanan and Dana Cripps, great grandchildren, Devon and Donovan Cripps and Allyson Buchanan, sisters, Thelma Sloan of Collingwood ON, Gwen Mooney, Mary Cobb (Maurice) and Ruth Courage all of England and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Murray E. Buchanan, a daughter Cheryl and a brother Ernest.

Rosslyn I. Banks The death of Rosslyn I. Banks of Sussex Corner, NB occurred at the Sussex Health Centre on November 28, 2002. Ross was the son of the late Lloyd and Helen (Ross) Banks and was born December 28, 1930 at Middleton, NS. Ross had worked with the Dominion and Village Grocery Stores for 37 years. He was a member of the Sussex Lions Club for over 30 years and among his many awards was the Melvin Jones Fellow Award. Ross is survived by his wife of 45 years, the former Marguerite Robichaud, his daughter Helen Banks of Montreal, sister Gertrude Cassaboom of Brantford, ON, twin sister Roselyn Pearson of Sussex and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a daughter Sandra, brother Charles and sister Irene Watters.
The family will receive visitors at the Sussex Select Community Funeral Home, 21 Aiton Road, Sussex (506-433-2133) on Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. The service, conducted by Reverend David Barrett, will be held Monday December 2, 2002 at 2:00 PM at the funeral home chapel. Interment at Evergreen Memorial Park at a later time. Mary M. Wetmore
The death of Mary M. Wetmore occurred after a lengthy illness at her residence, Kiwanis Nursing Home, Sussex on Saturday November 2, 2002. Mary was born at Saint John, New Brunswick on July 24, 1907 a daughter of the late James and Naomi (Little) Donovan. In 1935 she married Charles M. Wetmore. Mary was predeceased by her parents, husband and her sister Nora Davis.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Francis Xavier Roman Catholic Church, Sussex on Friday November 8, 2002 at 9:00 AM with Father Peter Bagley officiating. Interment will take place in All Saints Cemetery, Clifton Royal.
Cple Liam Wark-Hughes
At the Saint John Regional Hospital on November 24, 2002, Cple Liam Wark-Hughes, infant son of Kevin Hughes and Christine Wark of Roachville, NB.
Besides his parents Cple is survived by his half sister Allie, grandparents Gary and Sharron Hughes and Willie and Rose Wark, uncles Greg Hughes and Blair Wark and many other relatives.
A private family service will be held Thursday at the Sussex Select Community Funeral Home. Interment will be in Roachville Cemetery.
Michael Allen Codey McCrea
The death of Michael Allen Codey McCrea of Collina, NB occurred on September 20, 2002. Mike was born at Sussex on November 25, 1980, the son of Rick and Edith (Parlee) McCrea of Collina. Besides his parents he is survived by his fianc Erin Reid, their son, Chevy Allen McCrea, his sister Lisa Smith and husband Leonard of Pearsonville, maternal grandparents, Vernon and Marion Parlee of Drury s Cove and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Cecil B. Jeffries
Captain Cecil Byron Jeffries of Sussex Corner, NB, loving husband of T. Alberta (Thorne) died peacefully surrounded by his family, Tuesday May 22, 2002 at the Sussex Health Centre.
Born in Jeffries Corner in 1914 he was the son of the late Nelson and Sarah Colena (Seeley) Jeffries. Cecil served overseas as a Can-Loan Officer with the British Infantry (4th Dorset Regiment) during World War II. He was a life member of the Royal Canadian Legion Sussex Branch # 20. He was a Past Master of Zion Lodge #21 F & AM, Past Grand First Principal of the Royal Arch Masons and Past Grand Patron of New Brunswick Order of the Eastern Star. An avid woodsman and community worker, he enjoyed many interests including playing his fiddle, woodworking and gardening. Cecil was active as a diocesan lay reader and choir member at St. Mark s Anglican Church, Sussex Corner.
Survived by his loving wife, son John (Maureen) of Fredericton, daughters Mary Ellen Graves (Lorne) of Moncton, Sheila Allan (Michael) of Amherst, NS and Treva Jeffries (Colin MacFarlane) of Moncton, ten grandchildren, one great granddaughter, a sister Marion Patten of Chilliwack, BC and several nieces and nephews.
Cecil was predeceased by a son Nelson Edward and a sister Beatrice Berger.
