WILSON, Linda Ann On Tuesday April 22, 2003, Linda Wilson of Sherwood Park passed away at the age of 55 years after a lengthy battle with cancer. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband Gary; children Scott, Jennie and Stuart; mother Margaret (Peg) Watt; brother James (Sheila); sister Sibyl Robertson; nephews, niece and numerous other family and friends in Canada and Scotland. She was predeceased by her father James Watt, and nephew, Kevin Watt. BARRETT, Alice Mildred On June 1, 2003, Mrs. Alice Mildred Barrett of Edmonton, formerly of Carbonear, Nfld., passed away at the age of 60 years. She is survived by her four sons, Wayne (Sandra) and Shawn (Claudine), all of Newfoundland, Todd of Edmonton, and Trevor (Joanne) of Newfoundland; six grandchildren; two sisters and three brothers, Shirley Barrett of Texas, Doris Ranson and David (Brenda) Barrett, all of Ontario, Bill (Helen) Barrett and Lloyd (Joyce), all of Newfoundland; and sister-in-law, Kay Barrett of Newfoundland; numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and acquaintances. BOMBARD, Leslie Patricia (FLOOD) Born August 3, 1947 passed away peacefully at her home May 31, 2003 with her daughter Amanda by her side. Leslie will be forever loved and remembered by her daughter Amanda and fiance Sebastian. LAUBER, Harold On June 21, 2003, at the age of 88, Harold Lauber was called home to his Heavenly Father. Harold's memory will be cherished by Erma, his loving wife of 62 years; by his children, Donna Stauffer of Scotch Creek, B.C., Gail Foshaug (Larry) of Tofield, and Dale (Jo Ann) of New Westminster, B.C.; and by his sister, Kate of Edmonton. Harold was predeceased by six sisters and seven brothers. To remember fondly their beloved and devoted Grandpa, who made a special connection with each one of them, are six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren. Harold spent his 88 years in the Tofield area, but his many friends and acquaintances are spread across the continent. Passionately interested in his church, in life, and in people, Harold will be lovingly remembered for the magnificence of his friendly spirit and for the innocence and grace that endeared him to everyone who met him. McDOUGALL, Cynthia Dawn It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Cynthia Dawn McDougall (Sweeney) on June 20th, 2003 surrounded by family and friends who were enjoying another one of her famous get together's. Cynthia was born on November 12th, 1958 to Eric Sweeney and Andree Jerome-North whom she leaves to mourn. She is also survived by her husband of 20 years Colin as well as their children Sean, Adam and Christina McDougall. She leaves behind her brothers Martin (Anne), Stephen (Kerri), Sean (Olishka), Derek (Anna), and sister-in-law Lynne. Cynthia will be sadly missed by her in-laws John (Barb) McDougall and their family Lynne (Paul), Wendy (Mike), Tim (Monique), John (Regina), Gwen (Al). She was predeceased by her mother-in-law Helen, and her brother Glenn who has been in heaven patiently waiting for her. Aunty Cynthia also leaves to mourn numerous nieces, nephews and family friends who will now be forever denied attending her famous summertime barbeques. We love you Cynthia and know that finally you are pain free and have found the serenity you so richly deserved. SHANNON, Harold "Buzz" October 1919 - June 20 2003 Buzz passed away peacefully at his home on the Black Cat Ranch in Hinton.He will be remembered for his kindness and generosity to those in need, his devotion to family, love of nature and his zest for a spirited debate. Buzz lived in Grenada in the West Indies and was serving as a pilot In the Royal Air Force in Canada when he met his wife Peggy. They married in 1944. Buzz went on to fly Mosquitoes with 627 Squadron. He and Peggy went to Grenada in 1946 but immigrated to Canada with their young family in 1952. Buzz worked for AGT for a number of years. They lived in Edmonton's Queen Mary Park community from 1963 to 1984 when they retired to live at the Black Cat Ranch they owned in partnership with Peggy's sister Mary and her husband Jerry Bond. Buzz will be missed by Peggy; their children Grahame (Shirley), Kerry (Ray), and Hilary (Ben); and their beloved grandchildren James, Kathleen, Suzanne, Philip, Connor and Franchesca; as well as their great-granddaughter Zoe. Cremation has occurred, and a private family celebration of his life will be held. A gathering will be held in his honour at the Brule Community Hall at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 6. WAITES, Kyle Neil It is with great sorrow that we announce the sudden death of Kyle Neil Waites. Kyle was born in White Rock, BC on September 24, 1986. He lived in White Rock, BC, Meadow Lake, SK, and Edmonton. A tragic accident brought his young life to a close on June 21, 2003. Kyle was always filled with life and enthusiasm of a young person who was learning his way in the world and the possibilites the world held for him. Kyle leaves many to remember him and his zest for life.
