ALLIN - It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Leonne Renee, age 26, at her residence in Viscount. Leonne was a beautiful, vibrant, loving, and most of all giving young woman. She always had a song in her heart. The biggest joy in her life were her three children Paul, Shayvonne and Jade. Leonne is also survived be her parents Russell and Sharon Allin, her brother Bradly (Nicole) and their children Sarah, Ashley, James, and Riley. Her grandparents Merle and Shirley Allin; Uncles Les (Wendy) Allin, Ivan (Rita) Allin; Aunts Myrna (Ernie) Foster , Cathy (Glen) Cherry, Vivian Reid (Ron), Carolyn Bell (Elmer) and Maureen Deacon. Also numerous cousins, great aunts and uncles. Leonne was predeceased by her grandparents Sterling and Hazel Reid. The Funeral Service will be held in Watrous United Church on Friday May 12th at 2 PM. Interment will take place at a later date. BALDWIN - Cassie A. On Saturday, May 6, 2000, Cassie Baldwin of St. Albert, Alberta passed away at the age of 79 years. He is survived by his loving wife, Grace of 60 years; two sons, Archie of St. Albert, Doug (Laurie) of Edmonton; two daughters, Joyce Baldwin (David) of Thailand, Elaine (Kent) Smith of Regina; Eight grandchildren, Laurie Mintz, Deanne (Ryan) Arnold, Stacy (Kent) Hollinger, Farah, Lisa, and Megan Smith, Ainsley and Alecia Baldwin, Harold (Emily) Baldwin; two sisters, Edna Shaw, Viola (Helmer) Halvorson. He was predeceased by two brothers, Wallace Baldwin and Lloyd Baldwin; two sisters, Mabel Halvorson and Thelma Halvorson. A celebration of Cassie's life will be held on Thursday, May 11, 2000 at 11:00 a.m. at the St. Albert United Church, 20 Greengrove Drive, St. Albert, AB with Reverend Scott Agur officiating. Cremation has taken place. BEATON - Marguerite Joyce (nee Keene) on May 8, 2000, in her 75th year at Regina Pioneer Village. Predeceased by her husband Walter in 1997; parents Eva and Ernest Keene; and brother Lawrence Keene. BOOTHMAN - MR. LAWRENCE (LARRY) BOOTHMAN of Regina and formerly of Moose Jaw, passed away on Tuesday, May 9, 2000 at the age of 75 years. Born February 4, 1925 Larry moved with his family to Moose Jaw from the Briercrest District. Larry served in the World War II as an Airplane Mechanic. On August 25, 1948 he married Bernice Richardson. He was a carpenter and retired from the Regina Board of Education in 1990. Larry took pride in knowing he built his own family home. He enjoyed family, especially the activities of his grandchildren. Predeceased by his father, Frank, mother, Dorothy; brothers: Jack, Brian, Ted and Jim; sisters: Ruby, Daisy and Hazel. Larry is survived by his wife, Bernice Boothman; children: Barry (Marlene) Boothman and their children: Sherry and Sarah; Gerald (Debbie) Boothman and child, Melanie Boothman; Cathy (Otto) Jensen and child, Jennifer Jensen - all of Regina; brother, Tom (Donna) and sisters: Doreen and Wilda; sisters-in-law: Shirley, Lil and Lois. GILLSTROM - Katherine Ann passed away peacefully at the age of 66 in St. Mary's Hospital in Sechelt, B.C., on April 28, 2000. She is sadly missed by her loving husband, Owen; her four children: Larry and his partner, Laurel; Greg; Brian and his fiancee, Victoria; and Brenda and her husband, Rob; and her sweet grandchild, Brianna. She will also be missed by her siblings: Barney, Frank, Jean and Joan. Katherine (McDonald) was born on September 17, 1933, in Regina, Saskatchewan, where she resided until 1987 when she moved to British Columbia. She received her Bachelor of Arts with honours in psychology at the University of Regina in 1973 and went on to receive Masters of Arts degree in marriage and family counselling at Columbia Pacific University in 1987. From 1975 until 1996, Katherine worked as a social worker and marital and family therapist. She touched the lives of many with her devotion to the art of healing. In 1994-95 she worked as a consultant for the Ministry of Social Services (Adoption Section) and was involved in the development of the new Adoption Act 1995. Katherine was a remarkable person. Her family feels very blessed to have been able to share her life with her. As a wife and mother she offered never-ending love and support...always there. Everything she did was either to create more beauty in this world or better somebody else's life. She was truly and Angel on Earth and now she is soaring with the Angels in Heaven.
In lieu of flowers, a donation to cancer research would be greatly appreciated.

HICKE - On Sunday May 7, 2000, MR. WENZEL A. HICKE passed away peacefully at the age of 76 years. Wenzel will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his wife Marie; his son Berne (Rhonda); his daughters: Norene (Doug) Pinder and Corene (Glen) Kozey; five grandchildren; special niece Suzanne (Ernest) Doricic; three sisters: Betty Stadler, Hanna (Hubert) Fletcher and Eva Gross; two sisters-in-law: Jill and Gizella Hicke; as well as many other relatives and friends. KLEISINGER - Tuesday, May 9, 2000, Lucy Kleisinger (Leier), age 92 years, late of Regina. Predeceased by her husband Michael in 1999; daughter Lorraine; three sisters: Rita Kleisinger, Julia Gilbert, Margaret Carson; and five brothers: Martin, Leonard, Vince, John and Mike. Lucy Kleisinger is survived by three sons: Gerald (Joan), Leonard (Carol), and Wayne (Roberta); one daughter Joan (Gordon) Bergl; twelve grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews; two brothers: Frank (Ethel) Leier of Toronto and Donald (Terry) Leier of Calgary. MACKENZIE - John Alexander, born March 7, 1918, Winnipeg, Manitoba passed away Monday May 8, 2000 at Lion's Gate Hospital, at the age of 82. Jack and brother Don were partners in the family jewelry business, J. Alex MacKenzie Ltd. founded by their father in 1928. The boys expanded the business to a chain of eight stores in Saskatchewan and Alberta. Jack was an active member of the Regina community as President of the Executive Association and the Regina Kinsman Club. He was a 32nd Degree Mason of the Scottish Rite and was an active member of the Wa Wa Shrine Temple. After many successful years of operation, the business was sold. He and Maxine moved to West Vancouver, BC in 1972 where they have enjoyed many years of active retirement. In retirement he was instrumental in organizing the North Shore Curling Club, was an active bowler with the West Vancouver Bowling Club and could be found on many of the lower mainland golf courses. Jack and Maxine winterized in Palm Desert where they shared many special memories with their family and friends. He is survived by his loving wife, Maxine, daughter Beverley (Barry), sons John (Catherine), Reid (Janice), his brother Hugh (Lois) of Regina, sister-in-law Barb Neil of Regina and seven wonderful grandchildren. Service of Remembrance will be held at West Vancouver United Church, 2062 Esquimalt Avenue, West Vancouver, BC, Thursday, May 11 at 2:00 pm with Reverend John Gouws officiating. Predecesased by his infant daughter Lorna; his parents; his brother Maurice in infancy; two sisters: Mira and Elinor Clarke; and two sons-in-law: Jack Sinclair and Clifford Jensen. RICHARDSON - On Sunday, May 7, 2000, FRED MITCHELL RICHARDSON, late of Regina and formerly of Stoughton, passed away at the age of 83 years. Predeceased by his parents Herbert and Violet Richardson. Fred is survived by his loving wife Mary; son Allen (Theresa) Richardson; daughters: Carol (Don) Norman, Dianne Richardson and Judy (Darwyn) Peachey; grandchildren: Craig and Cristy Norman, and Eric and Sean Richardson; brother Harry Richardson; as well as several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Fred farmed for many years in the Stoughton area. He was an active member of the Grace United Church, Stoughton, SK and an associate member of the Stoughton Legion and a member of the Stoughton Drop-In Centre. ROBERTSON - Charles (Chuck). Chuck passed away at the Victoria General Hospital on May 7, 2000, at the age of 74. Predeceased by his wife Rose Ann, brother Ernest, and grandson, Christopher Mark. He will be lovingly remembered by his son, Chuck (Lorna), daughter Shirley (Jim), grandchildren, Craig (Danielle), Corliss (Dean), Frazier, Kenny, and Scott. Sister, Joy (Shorty), brothers, Gordy, Roy (Joyce), Sister-in-law Shirley, and numerous nieces and nephews. Chuck was born in Dundee, Scotland. Immigrated to Canada at an early age. He moved to Regina, Sask. where he married and raised his two children. Chuck was a veteran of the World War II, and served with the Perth Regiment. In 1996 Chuck moved to Sooke, B.C. He was a long time serving member of the Royal Canadian Legion. He will be remembered by many friends of Branch #54, Sooke, B.C., Sooke Senior Activity Association, and Sooke Senior Branch #88. Memorial Services will be conducted by Padre: Joe Titus at the Sooke Legion Branch #54 on Thursday May 11, 2000, at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.

TESSIER - MRS. COLETTE (nee LALONDE), late of Regina, SK, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 8, 2000, at the age of 66 years, after a courageous battle with cancer. She is now reunited with her father, J.D., her brother Denis, and her close friends in heaven. Colette's memory will be forever cherished by her loving husband Claude of 46 years; children: Pauline, Richard (Tanya) and Denise (Greg); grandchildren: Deanna, Brock, Jordan, Avril and the latest addition to the Tessier family, soon to arrive in June. Born the youngest of five children in St. Victor, SK, Colette will also be missed by her mother Berthe; sister Lucille (Mike) Cano; brothers: Gerald (Mary Ann) and Roger (Doreen); and sister-in-law Lorraine. Colette was Claude's life partner as well as a partner in the family business at Alsport Sales Ltd for 31 years. Colette was committed first as a mother to her children and husband, and then to her second family, those whom she served through the business. A MEMORIAL MASS will be held on Friday, May 12, 2000 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Martin's Roman Catholic Church, 4720 Castle Road, with Rev. Paul Dungan, Presider.
