GIBSON - James Robert passed away peacefully on Friday, June 15, 2001. He is predeceased by his father Thomas (Rocky) Gibson in 1997. James was born on June 13, 1942. He is survived by his wife Blanche; three children: son Bart (Julee) and son Riley of Moose Jaw; son Jeff (Cathy) and children Charea-Lynn and Mackenzie of Regina; daughter Dawn and fiancee (Trevor Branton) and children Ryan Gibson and Brianna Branton: mother: Kathleen (Kay) Gibson of Moose Jaw; sister: Elaine Galbraith of Regina; sisters-in-law: Marlene (Cliff) Chubala of North Battleford; La Vaughn Strohan of Regina; Cheryl (Bob) Putz of Fernie, B.C. as well as numerous nieces and nephews, relatives and friends. MALARYK - Kevin Anthony Malaryk of Estevan, passed away suddenly in Saskatoon, Friday, June 15, 2001 at the age of 33 years. He is survived by his wife, Jodi; sons, Jase and Jesse; daughter, Melissa, Brandon, Man.; his mother, Rose, Estevan; brothers, Brian, Calgary, his son, Ryan; Terry (Kim), their children, Carla, Kayla, Terresa, Terra; Garry (Jackie), their children, Keegan, Torie; Darrell, his children, Jenna, Adrian; Rick, all of Estevan; mother-in-law, Sue Arneson, Regina; Brothers-in-law, Jerry Arneson, Regina; Jason Arneson, Estevan; sisters-in-law, Jackie (Vern) Nagy, their children, Sash, Kade, Calgary: Brenda Malaryk, Estevan; numerous relatives and friends. MALCOLM - RUSSELL JOHN of Bulyea passed away suddenly June 15, 2001 at the age of 54 years. Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday June 19, 2001 at 2 PM from Bulyea United Church. REINHORN - Leonard Reinhorn passed away on June 16, 2001 after a long and courageous fight with cancer. Predeceased by his parents Isador & Lottie. Survived by his wife Myrna; sister Jean-Sybil Temins; son Martin (Sheila); grandson Ian; son Arthur; daughter Reesa Tennenhouse (Ken); granddaughters Lana & Emily; son Leslie; as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, June 18 at the Beth Jacob Funeral Home at 810 Broad St. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memoriam to the Regina Palliative Care Inc., or the Allan Blair Cancer Centre.

SCHADLICH - Anna Schadlich (nee Ortman), a resident of the Swan Valley Lodge, Creston, BC, passed away peacefully on June 15, 2001 in her 86th year. She was born July 4, 1915 at Francis, SK. She was married to Christopher Schadlich in 1936 and together, they had five children. After her husband's death in 1953, she remained on the family farm at Disley, SK with her children until 1961. At this time, she moved to Regina and in 1964, she married Len Townsend. Len died in 1965. In 1966, she married John McFarlane and together they owned and operated a small real-estate company. In 1975, they moved to Strathmore, AB, where with the help of their children and grandchildren, they built their dream home. John died in 1977 and in 1978, she married Spencer Horton. She sold her home in Strathmore in 1980 and they moved to Creston, BC, where she spent her remaining years. She was divorced from Spencer in 1982 and married William Star in 1993. William died on May 1, 2001. Anna was an avid gardener and amateur horticulturist and left her mark wherever she lived. Her grandchildren will always remember her as the world's greatest Granny. She was predeceased by her parents Michael and Katherine Ortman, one brother Conrad, one sister Sabina and two infant brothers Michael and Jacob. Anna is survived by her five children Robert (Ruth) Schadlich of Cranbrook, BC, Isabel (Carl) Eisler of Calgary, AB, Dennis (Shelley) Schadlich of Strathmore, AB, Doreen (Harv) Cutting of Saskatoon, SK and David (Faith) Schadlich of Rockyford, AB; fourteen grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren; one brother Jacob (Carrie) Ortman and four sisters Betty Maze, Kay Schuck, Lee (Paul) Froelich and Mary Svenson; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Visitation is to take place on June 23, 2001 at 7:00 pm at 7:00 pm at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Ave., Regina, SK. The funeral service will be held on Friday, June 22, 2201 at 1:00 pm at St. Andrew's United Church, Lumsden, SK with Pastor Jamie Bushell officiating. Interment to follow in the Lumsden Cemetery, Lumsden, SK. Friends wishing to make a memorial tribute may do so to the Swan Valley Lodge Equipment Fund, P.O. Box 1880, Creston, BC, V0B 1G0.

SCOTT - Maxwell. Max was born on May 24, 1929, on the family farm near Wawota, Sk., and passed away peacefully on June 16, 2001 at the Pasqua Hospital Palliative Care Unit. He took his schooling in Wawota, Sk. and upon completing school, he worked on the pipeline at Lloydminster, Sk. and later went to Sault Ste. Marie, Ont. to work at the chrome plant there. He moved to Regina in February of 1951 and began working at J.M. Sinclair Ltd. which later became the Codville Co. He remained working there until he retired as a grocery buyer in 1990. Max married his wife, the former Margaret Seibel on July 24, 1953. Max and Marg were avid campers and spent many years as seasonal campers at Rowans Ravine. Max enjoyed all sports and never missed "Hockey Night in Canada". He liked to golf, curl, hunt and fish. Max was predeceased by his parents, Andy and Mary Scott, parents-in-law John and Emma Seibel, his sisters Gladys and Leila in infancy, his brothers Tom, and wives Orpha and Margaret, Melville, Russell and wife Kay and Ray, his brothers-in-law, John Paxman, Walter Seibel, Jack Work and Bill Robinson, and sister-in-law Frances Seibel. He leaves to mourn his passing his loving wife Margaret and their children Brenda (Dave) Craig, Robert (Tina) Scott, Tom, and Cheryl (Brian) Ermel and grandchildren Jonathan, Myranda, and Christina Craig, Erika and Shane Scott, Aron Scott, and Lindsay and Kelsey Ermel. He is also survived by his sister, Evelyn Paxman of Manor, Sk., sisters-in-law Vivian Scott of Lloydminster, Ab., Elvera Work of LeRoy, Sk., Adelaine (Bruce) Allan of Ottawa, Ont., and Lois Deuel of Thorsby, Ab. Brothers-in-law Albert (Evelyn) Seibel of Regina, Harold (Flo) Seibel of Oshawa, Ont., and also by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He will be sadly missed by all. The family wishes to thank Drs. Cline, Rayson and Rostoker as well as all of the compassionate health care professionals for their tender loving care during his long battle with cancer. A special thanks to Connie Gurskey for her care over and above her duties. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 19, 2001 at Faith Lutheran Church, 370 McIntosh Street North, at 2:00 PM with Rev. Dennis Fingas officiating. Flowers gratefully declined. TOTH - On Saturday, June 16, 2001, Mary Anne Toth late of Regina, Sask. passed away at the age of 80 years. Mary was predeceased by her parents, Louis and Mary; little brother, Louis; and son, Albert in infancy. Mary is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Steve; children, Ernie (Carol), Irene (Don) Chambers, Louis and Darlene (Fernand) Baillargeon; grandchildren, Devin, Marissa (John) Slykhuis, Brad, Genevieve and Natalie; sister, Sr. Ethel; and brother, Bill. A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, June 21, 2001, at 2:00 P.M. at Holy Rosary Cathedral, 13th Ave. and Cameron St. Regina, with Rev. L. Kubash, celebrant. Interment will follow at Riverside Memorial Park. Prayers will be said on Wednesday, June 20, 2001, at 7:00 P.M. at the Chapel of Lee Funeral Home, 3101 Dewdney Ave. Regina. FORSYTH - REGINALD (REG) passed away peacefully in the arms of his loving family on Tuesday, August 7, 2001 at the Pasqua Hospital at the age of 77 years. Predeceased by his son Kirk in 1980, Reg is survived by Avis, his wife of 52 years, son Doug (Lynn) and grandsons, Preston, Matthew and Conor all of Australia. Reg is also survived by his brother Jack (Anne) of Regina and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Reg had a full and successful life. He joined the Air Force at age 17 and served in India and England. He returned from the war and joined Sask Tel where he worked for 38 years. In his retirement he was an active member of the Wascana Country Club where he was awarded a Life Membership in 1998. Winters were spent in his second home at Sun City, Arizona where he enjoyed his golf and his many friends. In the words of his grandsons he was "A Legend" famous for a wonderful sense of humour, joy of life and his abiding love for his family. There will be a Private Family Graveside Service on Friday, August 10, 2001.

GREGORY,JOHN - Michael and Joanne are saddened to announce the passing of their father, John Gregory of Saskatoon and formerly of Regina. John was predeceased by his wife Kay. Funeral arrangements are pending.

HENDRICKSON - Esther Irene late of Weyburn Sk. passed away August 6, 2001 at the age of 88 years. FUNERAL SERVICE will be held Thursday, August 9, 2001at 2:00 P.M. at Fletcher Funeral Chapel, Weyburn, SK. Officiating is Pastor Choi. Interment in Pangman Cemetery, Pangman, SK. LINCOLN - Maxine Jean Lincoln of Bellingham, WA, formerly of Regina, passed away at the age of 74 years on July 29, 2001. Maxine was born January 18, 1927 in Los Angeles, CA to William and Marie (Parker) Jolly. Maxine was educated in Regina and taught school in Indian Hill, SK during the 1940's. She married Kenneth Lincoln and moved to Whittier, CA where she raised five children. In 1983 she moved with her husband to Bellingham, WA and was later joined by her four surviving children. Predeceased by her husband Kenneth C. Lincoln, parents William and Marie Jolly, son Mark W. and grandson Mark J. Lincoln, and sister Rosemary Ullyott. Maxine is survived by sons, Corey of Bellingham, WA, Brian of Idaho, daughters, Maureen Lincoln of Bellingham and Renee Akins of Whidbey Island, WA, four sisters, Genevieve Freeman of CA, Marina Bell of Abbotsford, BC, Patsy Kozack of Regina, Judy Ottarda of CA, seven grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial was held on August 3, 2001 in the Assumption Catholic Church in Bellingham, WA.

LUKINCHUK - On Saturday, August 4, 2001 Alexander Peter Lukinchuk, late of Fort Qu'Appelle, Sask., passed away at the age of 52 years. He was predeceased by his father Alec and sister-in-law Shirley Lukinchuk. Alexander is survived by his son Russell Keller as well as numerous other relatives and friends. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, August 9, 2001 at 1:00 P.M. in the Chapel of Lee Funeral Home, 3101 Dewdney Ave., Regina, SK with Rev. Ron Sutton, officiating.

PENNO - MARGARET "MARDI" ESTELLE passed away peacefully on August 7, 2001. She was born in Killarney, Manitoba on April 18, 1923. She is survived by her loving husband of 49 years, Leonard "Len" Anthony Penno; and her two sons: Robert Grant (Liz) Holden of Regina, and Bryan Paul (Elaine) Holden of Vernon, BC. Nana is lovingly remembered by her six grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. She will also be remembered with love by her sister, Edith (Mickey) Lewis; her daughter-in-law Thelma Whiting; her long time friend Marg Hewson; as well as many other dear relatives and friends. Mardi is predeceased by her first husband Robert "Bob" Holden; her parents: Louis and Ruth Roach; and her brother James "Jim" Roach. Mardi was associated with sports as a young woman and in her later years she loved her cats, knitting, collecting and antiques. Mardi's life was devoted to her family and friends. MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held on Friday, August 10, 2001 at 2:00 p.m. at the Regina Funeral Home, Hwy #1 East. In lieu of flowers, donations in Mardi's memory can be made to the Palliative Care Ward, Pasqua Hospital, 4101 Dewdney Avenue, Regina, SK, S4T 1A5. ROY JAMES KINISTINO January 1, 1948 - August 5, 2001 - Roy left this world to behold the Kingdom of God. Joyce, Ernie, Julie, Justine, Georgina, Night, Airi, and Val were by his side as the Lord took him home. He is survived by many nieces and nephews who will miss his humble company.
He leaves behind brothers Lawrence, William, Steve, and sister Judy; sisters-in-law Rosalie and Flora.
Wake service will be held at 8:00 p.m. Thursday, August 9 at Sakimay Band Hall. A Sunrise Pipe Ceremony will be held at 5:00 a.m. on Friday, August 10th at the Sakimay Band Hall. Traditional Feast at 11:00 a.m. on Friday to be followed by the Service, officiated by Brother Clark Stevenson.
Internment will be held at the Sheesheep Cemetery.

SAKUNDIAK - MOURIENE MAY was born on October 15, 1931 and passed away suddenly on Thursday, August 2, 2001. Predeceased by her husband Walter; her parents: Stan and Marie Heard; and her parents-in-law: Alex and Annie Sakundiak. Mouriene leaves to cherish her memory her children: son Walter Stan and his children: Holly and Matthew and their mother Melody; daughter Carla (Mike) Koot and their family: Jessica (Mike) Lindenbach, JR, and Porscha; one special great-grandson Jonas Lindenbach; plus extended family and special friends. Mouriene will be greatly remembered for the kindness she showed to others through her business ventures, her volunteer work and to those whose lives she touched in her own special way. Mouriene was laid to rest beside her husband Walter at Riverside Memorial Park Cemetery in a private ceremony. The family wishes to thank all those who have supported Mouriene through her life. A special mention is made to Aunt Roseann who was a friend and a sister at heart. SEED - William Archibald, passed away peacefully on August 6, 2001 at the age of 91. Bill was born in England on February 6, 1910. He grew up on a farm in the Kelvington area. Bill was predeceased by his wife, Ivy; his brother Harry; and his parents. Bill is survived by his son George of Regina; step grandchildren: Laura Agarand of Regina and Scott Agarand of Saskatoon; one sister Ella Smith of Ainsdale, England; sister-in-law Stella Seed of Rose Valley; nephews, Carl (Mary) Seed of Saskatoon, Gordon (Terry) Seed of Fort Saskatchewan, Alta., Henry Seed of Picton, Ont. and Clifford (Shirley) Seed of Jaffrey, B.C.; niece Sylvia Picot of Regina and their families. Bill served in the Army in WWII. During his lifetime he worked as a farmer, carpenter, barber and commissionaire. Bill spent many happy times camping and fishing with his brother and sister-in-law, Harry and Stella, also his good friends. Funeral Service will be held on Friday, August 10, 2001 at 1:30 p.m. in Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue with Rev. Ronald H. Sutton officiating. Interment in Riverside Memorial Park. ZESS - STEWART THOMAS - Stewart was born November 11, 1978 in Regina, Sask. He started his schooling in LaRonge, Sask. in 1983 at Gateway Elementary School. On returning to Regina in 1984 he was enrolled at St. Peter's where he completed his elementary education. He then went on to O'Neill High to complete his secondary education. He also attained his fireman's certificate at Wascana Institute. Stewart's love of the outdoors was spawned in scouting where he started as a Beaver in LaRonge. As a member of St. Timothy's 49th he continued on in Beaver's, Cubs, Scouts, where he earned his Chief Scouts Award, on to Ventures and Rovers. At the time of his death he was Akala to St. Timothy's Cub Pack where he had served as a leader for five years. Stewart's other love was the Royal Regina Rifles where he served his Country since he was seventeen. He had followed in his brother's footsteps joining the infantry and had worked his way in the ranks as a rifleman and on to the rank of Corporal. He was working as a cadet trainer and store keeper at the Mary Lake area camp for cadet camp north of Whitehorse at the time of his death sometime in the morning of Monday, August 6, 2001. Stewart is survived by his loving mother Mary Doreen (nee) Schmidt, his father Jack Gilroy Zess, his sister Michelle Leora and brother-in-law Trevor Gleim, his brother Shane Patrick and sister-in-law Cara and their son Brayden, as well as aunts, uncles, cousins and friends too numerous to mention. Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, August 11, 2001 at 2:00 P.M. in St. Peter's R.C. Church, 100 Argyle St., Regina, SK with Rev. K. Koep, Celebrant. Interment to follow in Riverside Memorial Park. Prayers will be held on Friday, August 10, 2001 at 7:00 P.M. in the Church. Flowers declined.
