Noseworthy, Basil Seward, 90, passed away peacefully on September 22 at the Dartmouth General Hospital in Nova Scotia, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Cox's Cove, NL on May 29, 1917, he was the only son of Solomon and Mary (Blanchard) Noseworthy. Since 1952 he has been a faithful member of St. Mary the Virgin Anglican Church in Curling where he enjoyed fun and fellowship through his involvement with the Men s Service Club. He was predeceased by his wife of 54 years, Mabel (Crocker) in 1996; also by sons Ralph Adam and Foster Bryant, and sisters Olive Wells and Eileen Park. He is mourned by his surviving sisters: Elsie Gillingham, 94, and Miriam Payne, 95; his children: Lloyd Basil (Shannon Casavechia), Ottawa; Mary (Rick Emberley), Dartmouth, NS; daughter-in-law Beatrice, Coley s Point, NL; grandchildren: Shawna (Ottawa), Meghan (Victoria) and David (Toronto) Noseworthy, and Michael (Toronto) and Christine (Halifax) Emberley, as well as 25 nieces, 12 nephews and many good friends and neighbors. He will be greatly missed. Visitation will take place at Fillatre's Funeral Home, 218 Curling Street on Monday from 6-9:00 p.m., and Tuesday, 10 to 11:30 a.m. The funeral service will take place at St. Mary the Virgin Anglican Church in Curling on Tuesday, September 25th at 2:00 p.m., Rev. Hounsell-Drover officiating. Interment to follow at Mt. Patricia Cemetery. Family flower only please. Donations may be made to the St. Mary the Virgin Memorial Fund, The Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Diabetes Association.

It is with great sadness of the family of Chester L. Marche announce his passing at the Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital in Stephenville on Saturday, October 20th, 2007. He is predeceased in death by his wife Marie (Lawless) Marche in 1997, also by sister Gennieve, brother Arthur, brother Ronald and sister Mildred. He leaves behind loving daughters Judy Perez and husband Gustavo in Florida, Kathleen in Ontario, Sheila Buck and husband Lyle, grandchildren Kerry and Gregory, also daughters Chris and Patty; also leaving behind brother Bart and wife Rena; sister Margie and brother Ray. As well as a large number of nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews and a wonderful circle of friends. Chester lived in Steady Brook for nearly 50 years and was supervisor of Carpenter Maintenance for the Western Roman Catholic School Board for 30 years till his retirement ... He was most known for his work at Regina High School and always felt that the boys there were the sons he never had. He leaves to mourn his devoted wife and friend of 53 years Beverley Babs (Fifield), seven dear children: sons Hardy (Beverley) in Appleton, William (Angie) in Frederickton, daughters Marilyn (Kerry Reid), Beverley Penney (Butch Vardy), Cindy (Chad Hussey), Jean (Bain Stratton), and Joan, all of Corner Brook; three special grandchildren (Andrew Reid, Heather Reid and Riley Chaulk); only brother Hardy Miles (Bridget) of Lewisporte, sisters-in-law: Ruby Hardy, Gloria Fifield (ex-husband Lew Murphy), Lena Anderson, and a large circle of friends and relatives. Wilbert was predeceased by brothers-in-law John Hardy, Max Anderson & son-in-law Calvin Penney. Wilbert was best known for his love of the outdoors, salmon fishing and hunting with his family and long time friend Martin Humber. Granting Wilbert s wishes, there will be no public visitation.
