WOODS, Jessie (nee Forsyth). On Monday, November 19, 2001. Jessie passed away after a lengthy illness at the age of eighty-one years. She is survived by her daughter Marilyn (Derrick) Bradley, two grandchildren Darlene and Derrick Terry all of Sherwood Park. One sister Lillian Gilbert, wife of the late Walter Gilbert, sister-in-law Lilias Forsyth both of Montreal, as well as two nephews Bruce Padgham and Ian Forsyth, and one niece Lois Prevost. Jessie was predeceased by her husband George Reginald, two brothers Robert and James Forsyth, one sister Margaret Padgham and and niece Debbie Padgham. BILEY, William Ronald (Bill). Peacefully at home, on Friday November 23, 2001 in his sixty-fourth year. With great dignity after a courageous battle with ALS. BLAKE, George C. (Retired President of BCE Emergis eHealth Solutions Group) passed away peacefully, at his home in Collingwood on Thursday, November 22, 2001 after a courageous battle with cancer. Beloved husband of Lysette. Dear father of Renee Blake and her husband Bob Hunt and Annalisa King and her husband Tim. Survived by his sister Claudette Dumontelle of Sudbury. George will be sadly missed by his family, friends and business associates. EVANSHEN, Aline (nee Belisle). Born August 25, 1921 in Oskelaneo, Abitibi, Quebec. Predeceased by her loving husband John, eldest son, Stephen and granddaughter Jennifer. Survived by eleven of her twelve children, Fred, Gordon, Terry, John, Frank, Patricia, Nancy, Barbara, Judy, Perry and David, twenty-seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren and many friends. Not only a caring mother and wife but a good friend to all. She was always there for you in good and bad times. When you one needed help, all you had to do was call mom and it would be okay. She will be sadly missed by all, but our memories of her will last forever. Bye Mom. Special thanks to daughter Patricia, Dr. Trevor Gin and the wonderful nurses and staff of the 2nd floor at the Delta Hospital. EVERETT, Douglas. Peacefully at Kingston General Hospital on Wednesday, November 21, 2001 in his ninety-second year. Survived by his wife Violet Elliot, children Bruce (Gail), Robert (Jeff), Lynn (Russell). Sadly missed by his grandchildren and great granddaughter. To honour Douglas's wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no service. Memorial donations to the M.S. Society would be appreciated by the family.
FAGEN, Arnold (Arnie). After a courageous battle, with dignity and honour, surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, November 22, 2001. Beloved husband of Sheryl Freder. Cherished grandmother of Nancy, Jennifer, David, Lori and Richard Davenport, and Jamie. Great-grandmother of Adam and Ryan. Predeceased by her brothers Ben (the late Sadie), Bill (Denise), and her sister Minnie (the late Jack Lennett). Sister-in-law of Stella and the late Nathan Zilbert, Leah and the late Elie Fineberg, Manya and the late Sam Fineberg, the late Sydney and the late Ethel Fineberg. She will be sadly missed by her nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. FISK, Eunice Ina (nee Calhoun). Born March 15, 1907 in Gaspe, Quebec, died peacefully at Peace Arch Hospital, White Rock, B.C. on November 17, 2001. She is predeceased by her brothers Max and David and her husband, Dr. Guy H. Fisk, and brother-in-law R.M. Paul Fisk. She will be lovingly remembered by her sisters, Ora Williams of White Rock, B.C., Ada (Gordon) Marr of Russel, Ontario, brother Reginald Calhoun, Gabriola Island, B.C., sisters-in-law Jean Fisk of Ontario and Marjorie (Dick) Hammond, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and loyal friends. There will be a Memorial Service celebrating Ina's life on Thursday, November 29, 2001 at 2 p.m. in the Library at Whitecliffe, 15501 - 16th Avenue, Surrey, B.C. with a tea following the service. GRAHAM, Edward L. 1925-2001. (WWII R.C.N.V.R) After a lengthy illness he did his best to overcome, and which he bore without complaint, Edward Graham, seventy-six, formerly of Montreal, was called to God on November 22, 2001. Survived by his wife of fifty-one years, the former Hilda Kelly. Edward served in the Royal Canadian Navy during WWII (1941-1945), and was a Member of the Montreal Fire Department, retiring with the rank of Captain in 1979. Ed also leaves behind his son Michael, and his five sisters, Mildred, Violet, Thelma, Lillian and Kathleen, and numerous friends and relatives. A Service to Celebrate Ed's life will be held Tuesday, November 27 at 2:30 p.m. at the Ogden Funeral Home, 4164 Sheppard Avenue East, Toronto (East of Kennedy Road), (416) 293-5211, with visitation one hour prior. Beloved wife of the late Joseph Marino and loving mother of Edward (Beverly) and Richard (Joyce) of Vancouver. She will also be sadly missed by her sister Lucy, her four grandchildren Glenn, Terri (Brian), Steve (Tricia) and Rob (Richelle), six great-grandchildren and many friends and relatives. MILLER, Constance Rosemary (nee Jennings). Resident of Stanstead, Quebec, quietly passed away on November 20 at the age of seventy-three. Survived by her husband John, four daughters Celia (Rod), Sarah, Tanya (Conrad) and Jessanyn (Jean-Pierre), grandchildren Skye, Jeremy, Matthew, Devon, Robyn, Esme and William, and numerous nieces and nephews. Also survived by her sister Clare. Predeceased by her beloved son Vincent and sister Janet. We will greatly miss her love, warmth, selflessness and optimism; she will remain an inspiration to us all. A memorial service will be held for her next summer. The staff at the palliative care ward of the Hotel-Dieu Hospital in Sherbrooke should be praised for their tireless efforts. DUFORD, Guy M. On November 24, 2001, after a long courageous battle, at the age of sixty-two, the angels came to call. Devoted husband and best friend to Arlene for forty-five years. McVICAR, Lorette Catherine (nee Waugh) passed away peacefully in her sleep Friday, November 23, 2001 at the Lakeshore General Hospital. Predecease by her sisters Myrtle (Wass) and Doris (LaPierre). Born in Montreal March 5, 1916. She was a devoted mother, a retired homemaker and the widow of Captain Donald McVicar, OBE, RAFFC, founder of World Wide Airways, Antarctica Pioneer. They retired to Freeport, Grand Bahama Island and also resided in Miami Springs, Florida before returning to Canada. She served as his consultant and historical adviser during his long career as an Aviation Author while living in Dorval, Quebec. She is survived by her brother Edward Allen Waugh of Winnipeg, her beloved children Donna McVicar Cannon of Englewood, Florida, Donald Gordon McVicar and Bruce Campbell McVicar of Montreal and her six precious grandchildren Amanda, Christianna, Jamie, Brandon, Lindsay and Kevin. Visitation will take place at J.J.
