Loving father of Bill (Helene) of Stittsville and Ted (Carrie) of Calgary. Cherished grandfather of Whitney (Jason) of Ottawa and Stephanie and Calvin of Calgary. Predeceased by his sister Gweyneth. Peacefully on Sunday, February 4th, 2007, in his 88th year. Dennis Gillespie, beloved husband of the late May Poulton. Remembered with love by daughters Barbara Quesnel, Carole (Meme) Myles (Ray). Potter, Pierrette Marie
Pierrette went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 30, 2005, in her 84th year. Pierrette was the devoted wife of Carrol Weston Potter, who predeceased her in 2003. She was the extraordinary mother of four children: Elaine (David), Michael (Pam), Gerald (Debbie), and Marc (Shelly); who blessed her with several grandchildren. Pierrette is also survived by three siblings: Pierre-Paul Bourbonnais, Monique Lalonde, and Yseult Bourbonnais. Offley, George William Clive
Suddenly, at the Ottawa Heart Institute on Thursday September 1st, 2005, at the age of 83 years. Predeceased by his loving wife Mary. Dear father of Cathrine (Bo Skowronnek), Judith-Ann Offley (Rick Leizert), Margaret Offley (Glenn Coffin) and Diane (Carl Harriman). Proud grandfather of 8 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Born in England, George affected all who knew him through his vibrant, and lively character and his determined will. He joined the Air Arm of the Royal Navy and flew one of the nine Swordfish torpedo bombers attacking the German battleship Bismarck in the first ever carrier-borne air strike against a battleship. George received the Murmansk Medal from the Former Soviet Union in recognition of his allied service, and has been decorated extensively by the Canadian and British Governments, including receiving the Queen's Golden Jubilee Medal in 2002. He supported and participated in The Royal Canadian Legion and ensuring veterans' rights. The family would like to thank the staff and physicians at the Ottawa Heart Institute for their care and compassion during George's treatments.
