Ronald Robert Rose
Passed peacefully away at the L.A. Miller Centre Palliative Care Unit, surrounded by his loving family, on September 24, 2003, age 75 years.
Predeceased by his loving wife Rita, April 2002; father Stan; mother Gertrude; sister Irene and brother Angus. Leaving to mourn with treasured memories, son Ron Jr. (Judy); daughters: Debbie Chaytor (Garry), Dianne Penney (Selby), Lori O`Keefe (Patrick); also leaving to mourn their cherished poppy are his grandchildren: Devin, Susan, John (Jacquie), Terry (Angie), Dani, Jennifer, Chris, Patrick and Ashley; great-grandchildren: Travis and Makayla. He is also lovingly remembered by his brother Melvin (Marg); sister Lorraine Falcon; brother-in-law John Moore (Barbara); sisters-in-law: Phoebe Mullett and Leni Rose and many nieces and nephews. Special lifetime friends, Bud and Elva Parsons and Jim and Bette Tobin.
A very special thank you to his neighbors - Barry, Chris, Katie and Jessica Langer, who he loved like his own. Also special thanks to the staff of 4 South A at HSC and the wonderful doctors and nurses of the Palliative Care Unit.
Visitation will take place at Barrett`s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue on Thursday from 7-10 p.m.; Friday from 10 a.m. - 12 noon, 2-4 p.m. and 7-10 p.m.; Saturday from 10 a.m. - 12 noon. Funeral announcement to follow. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations may be made in his memory to the Palliative Care Unit, Leonard A. Miller Centre.

Harry Stanford
Stanford, Thomas (Harry)- passed peacefully away at St. Clares Mercy Hospital on Thursday, July 17, 2003, Harry Stanford age 85 years.
Left with fond and loving memories are his wife Madeline, one son James and special friend Margie, one daughter Marilyn Zinck (Andrew), one grandson Nicholas Zinck, four sister's; Madeline Williams, Elizabeth Ronayne, Rita O'Neil and Stella Edney as well as three half sister's; Rosemary Stanford, Joan Dutile (Mitch), and Enid O'Brien (Cyril), nieces, nephews, friends, and neighbors. Cremation has taken place.
There will be no visitation. Funeral mass to take place 11 A.M., Saturday, July 19, 2003 from Mary Queen of the World Church, Topsail Road, Mount Pearl. Inurnment to follow in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Following Inurnment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, the family will be receiving relatives and friends at Mary Queen of the World Meeting Room. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Spina Bifida Association or to a charity of one's choice. Arrangement's entrusted to Barrett's Funeral Home.

George F. Taylor
Passed peacefully away at St. Clare's Mercy Hospital after a brief illness on Thursday, March 27th, 2003, George F. Taylor, WWII Veteran and retired employee of Canadian National Telecommunications, aged 82 years. Predeceased by his wife Alma (nee Penney) in 1981. Leaving to mourn two sons; Brian (Imelda) and Ross; one daughter Patti (Doug); three grandchildren Janine (Asher), Josh and Joel; brother Herb; one sister Dorothy Roberts; special friend Nora Pretty and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Ina Mary Thistle
Thistle, Ina Mary (nee Bailey) - Died peacefully on Friday, July 25th, in her 84th year from Hennessey's Guest Home.
Predeceased by her husband Joseph, and her sister Dorothy Walters. Leaving to mourn is her brother Samuel Bailey and his wife Rebecca and also her three children, Joseph, wife Joanne, Doreen McDonald, husband James, and Eileen Bruff, husband Carl. She will also be mourned by her grandchildren Kristie and Michael Thistle, Janet and Kirk McDonald, Sandi and Karl Bruff and Beverly Thistle. Also special great grandchildren Kyle and Evan Bruff and Cloe Thistle. Also missed by her nephews Clayton, David and Eric Bailey and a number of friends and relatives.

Franklyn V. Tilley
It is with sadness in our hearts we announce the peaceful passing away of our precious and loving husband, father and grandfather, Franklyn V. Tilley on July 22, 2003 in his 88th years.
Leaving with cherished and wonderful memories is his loving wife of 52 years Helen (Ash); three sons: Jimmie (Nicole), Toronto, Jim (Violet), Torbay, Bob (Val), Mt. Pearl; three daughters: Patsy (Peter Kelly), St. John's, Jewell (Ross Avery), Clarenville and Wanda (Ray Palmer), Mt. Pearl; sister Dot Balsom, Clarenville and brother-in-law Roy (Monica) Ash, St. John's. Dad Tilley also leaves 15 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren who were his pride and joy as he was their's. Also left with special memories are a large circle of family and friends.
Retired from the Newfoundland Constabulary and Her Majesty's Penentiary, Frank was also a very proud member of the 166th Royal Artillery and the Singing Legionnaires.

Passed peacefully away, at his residence, in the presence of his family, on Tuesday, June 4th, 2002, David Bruce Tucker, Aged 77 years. Prominent and well respected Business Man, formerly of Bell Island.
Predeceased by his first wife Mabel (Butler) 1967 and son George.
Leaving to mourn his loving wife Shirley; sons David (Adella) of Torbay, John (Catherine) of Ontario and Bruce of B.C.; grandchildren Melissa Barbeau (Shawn), David, Marcus (Amanda Howlett), Jessica (Ryan Connors), Megan, Jeffery, Tyler, Ryan, Bruce, Dawn, Sherry, Christopher and Bobby; great granddaughter Gracie Jessica; brother Milton (Lori); sister Marjorie Andrews; brother-in-law Bill Lindsay; special niece Heather Lindsay; special nephew Brad Privett Watson; sisters-in-law Joan, Roslyn, Linda and Shelle; brothers-in-law Ray, Sterling and Dereck Kelloway; also a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Captain Walter Tucker (Retired CN Marine) - passed peacefully away at the Dr. L. A. Miller Centre on Tuesday, March 25, 2003, Walter Tucker age 83 years. Left with fond and loving memories are his wife of 54 years, Louise (Clarke); his two daughters: Audrey and Dale Cale (Garth), Moncton, NB; one very precious grandson Scott Walter Cale; two sisters: Mary Butler (Charlie), St. John's and Annie Tucker (Charlie), Port de Grave; one brother Arthur; one brother in law Malcolm Clarke (Lorraine); his sisters in law: Elsie Tucker, Carbonear, Irene LaCour, St. John's, Elizabeth Brown and Sybil Clarke, both of Brigus; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

Passed peacefully away on Thursday, July 24, 2003, at the Miller Centre, Palliative Care Unit, Walter F. Tucker. Retired employee of Newfoundland and Labrador Hydro. Aged 74 years.
Leaving to mourn his wife Eileen (Casey); his sons: Gary and Walter Jr. (Wally) and his wife Libbie; his beloved granddaughters: Robyn and Erin Tucker; his brother Leslie R. and his wife Betty, Calgary, AB, and their children: Richard and Janet; brothers-in-law: Ron Casey (Eleanor), Bill Casey (Ann), and Jim Casey (Maureen); sisters-in-law: Carmel McDonald (Kevin), Brenda Grouchy (Bill), and Maureen Casey.

White, Phoebe Jane (nee Greenslade) Born August 11, 1911 - Passed peacefully away on October 9, 2003 at the Health Sciences Centre, Phoebe Jane White (nee Greenslade), age 92 years.
Daughter of the late Fanny (nee Cluney) and Hector Greenslade. Predeceased by her husband Edward White. Leaving to mourn daughter Joan House (David); sons: Harry (Dot), Jim, Fred (Joan), Winston (June), Bruce (Debbie); 22 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; sisters: Sadie Clarke (Joseph), Margaret Brown; also dear friend Kay Barrington, as well as many nieces and nephews.
