This is to those who may look at my mother's obituary and say there are some facts that are not correct. You are right. Her obituary should read as follows:
Florence Lillis Terry, CPN, The Falls, Colchester County, passed away May 8, 2008 in Lillian Fraser Memorial Hospital, Tatamagouche at the age of 74.
Born December 19, 1933 in Cape John, she was the daughter of the late Alexander Harding Hardy and Ada Mae (Heighton)Dwyer.
Florence graduated in 1955 from the New Brunswick Technical Institute in Moncton as a certified practical nurse. In 1958 she completed a combined course of lab and X-ray from the Aberdeen Hospital in New Glasgow and was the first combined X-ray and lab technician at Lillian Fraser Memorial Hospital in Tatamagouche where she worked for 28 years. She also worked at Colchester Regional Hospital, Truro and Mount St. Vincent Hospital, Vancouver, B.C. She was a member of Freedom Rebekah Lodge No. 62, Tatamagouche. She enjoyed knitting socks, puzzles in the newspaper and talking on the telephone to friends.
Surviving is her husband, Reginald; son, Peter (Lisa) and their son Jeremy, New Annan; daughter, Jane, The Falls; niece, Sheila Landi, U.S.A.; nephew, David Dwyer, River John. She was predeceased by her brother, Irving Leo Dwyer.
Visitation will be 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday, May 11, and funeral service will be 2 p.m. Monday, May 12, Reverend Donald Sutherland officiating, all in Coulter's Funeral Home (657-3288) 49 Riverside Dr., P.O. Box 190, Tatamagouche, N.S., B0K 1V0.
