Infirmary, QEII. Born in Spry Harbour, October 24, 1918, she was a
daughter of the late Benjamin and Mary Elizabeth "Lizzie" (Borgal)
Josey. She was a member of St. Andrews Anglican Church, Spry Harbour; a
member of the ACW and an avid quilter. She is survived by sisters,
Ezilda (Reg) Mason, Spry Harbour; Jean Meier, Winnipeg; Ruby Josey,
Halifax; brothers, Basil (Gwen), Kearney Lake; Cyril (Jacqueline),
Dartmouth; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her
husband, Thomas; sisters, Laura Harvey (United States); Roxie Liepins
(Halifax); Beulah Josey (Halifax); Elsie Josey (Spry Harbour); brothers,
Ivan and Milton (Halifax); Sydney in infancy. Arrangements have been

CALE, Patricia Dianne - 57, Nine Mile River, passed away peacefully at
home, surrounded by her family after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Bridgewater, she was the daughter of the late William and
Marjorie Moss. She is survived by her husband of 33 years, Donald;
daughters, Lynn (Gerald Day), Debora (Gerry Taylor), Dawn (Scott Smith);
grandchildren, Alyssa, Connor and Reiley Day; brother, Gregory Moss. She
will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by those who knew and loved
her. Her strength and love during her illness showed us what a
remarkable woman she was. Her love surrounded us as our love surrounds
her now and always. Recently retired from Cara Food Services after 15
years, her great joys in life were her children, grandchildren,
puttering in her flower gardens, Bingo, and her cats, Cindy and Zoe. She
was predeceased by daughter, Pamela Dianne in infancy. No floral
tributes, please, instead, contributions may be made to the Canadian
Cancer Society or the IWK Children's Hospital. Cremation has taken place
under the direction of Withrow MacMillan Funeral Home. Funeral services
will beheld 7 p.m. Tuesday, August 15, 2000 in the Royal Canadian
Legion, Elmsdale. Private Interment at a later date at Sandy Hill Cemetery.
CAMPBELL, Everett Bell - 60, Dartmouth, passed away August 8, 2000, in
the Dartmouth General Hospital. Born in Borden, PEI, he was the son of
Oscar and the late Wanda Campbell. He is survived by his loving wife,
Colleen and sons Gary (Angela), Dartmouth; Craig (Michelle), Arizona. He
will be sadly missed by his grandchildren James, Ashley and Rachel;
sisters, Marjorie (Fred) Leard, Borden, PEI; Betty (Roger) Leblanc,
Dartmouth; brother, Gary (Connie) Campbell, Dartmouth. He was
predeceased by his sister, June. Cremation has taken place. A memorial
service will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, August 12, 2000, in the Borden
United Church, PEI. Burial will follow in the Church of Scotland, Cape

CONWAY, Bruce R. - 76, Truro, passed away on August 9, 2000, in the
Mira Nursing Home, Truro. Born in Stellarton, he was a son of the late
James William and Lillian (Pearl Richardson) Conway. He worked in coal
mines for a number of years and then moved to Truro in 1954, where he
served on the town police force for thirty years. He served overseas
with Cape Breton Highlanders during the Second World War. He was the
last surviving member of his immediate family. He is survived by his
wife, the former Lillian Ruth Munro, Stellarton; daughters, Linda (Mrs.
Ray Roode), Truro; Susan and companion, Lyle Miller, Londonderry; sons,
Richard and companion Doris Stewart, Masstown; Robert and wife Linda,
Hilden; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren. He was
predeceased by brother, Donald. No visitation by request. A memorial
service will be held today, August 11, 2000, at 2 p.m. in Colchester
Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow St., Truro. In lieu of flowers,
donations may be made to a charity of choice.
CONWAY, Russell Freeman, Captain (Ret'd) - 84, Middleton, passed away August 9, 2000, in the Veteran's Unit of Soldiers Memorial Hospital,
Middleton. Born in Halifax, he was a son of the late Clarence and Irene
(Barrie) Conway. He was the last surviving member of his immediate
family. For 32 years he served in R.C.O.C.- R.C.E.M.E. (army) of the
Canadian Armed Forces with various posting in Canada, including two
northern, Fort Churchill, Manitoba and Whitehorse, Yukon. He also served
overseas during the Second World War and in Germany between 1955-1957.
He was a founding member of the Macdonald Museum, Middleton and enjoyed
repairing and collecting clocks and watches. He will be sadly missed by
his wife, the former Marie Manuel; nieces, Dolly, Melissa, and Charlene;
nephew, Russell. He was predeceased by brothers, Clarence and Harold;
sisters, Evelyn and Melissa. Visitation will be 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today,
August 11, and funeral service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, both in Warren
T. Roop Funeral Home, Middleton, Rev. Fred Hinxman officiating. Burial

GILLIS, Allan Vincent - 81, 63 Kent St., Sydney, passed away August 8,
2000, in the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney. Born in Sydney, he
was a son of the late Ronald and Annie (Quinn) Gillis. He was a member
of St. Anthony Daniel Parish, Sydney. He worked for the CNR retiring in
1982. Surviving are his wife, the former Lucy Marie Bowman; daughters,
Colleen Siller, Calgary; Connie Welton, Halifax; sons, Allan, Coxheath;
Frank, Halifax; Ronnie, Sydney; sister, Isobel Livingstone, Sydney;

GILLIS, P. Melvin - 68, Scotch Hill, Margaree Harbour, passed away August 8, 2000, at home. Born in Sydney, he was a son of the late Alex
and Emma (Jollie) Gillis. Surviving are his wife, Eleanor Brophy; sons,
Derek (Heather), Paul (Andrea), Brian (Corrine), all of Oakville, Ont.;
Craig, Calgary; daughter, Lori D'Amour (Serge), Oakville, Ont.;
brothers, Richard and Wayne, Ontario; sister, Eileen Ley (Wilbert),
Sydney; grandchildren, Steven, Calvin, Patrick, Chris, Michael, Shaunce,
Derek Jr., Sabrina, Athena, Ashleigh; great-grandchildren, Brittany,
Bryanna. He was predeceased by brother, Gregory. Cremation has taken

JOHNSON, Bessie E. - 79, of Halifax, N.S, passed away peacefully at
home August 10, 2000, with family by her side. She was the daughter of
the late James R. and Minnie Eldridge. She is survived by brothers,
Leslie Eldridge and wife Connie, Halifax; Harvey Eldridge and wife Mary,
Port Saxon, N.S.; children, David and wife Pat, Halifax; Roger and wife
Lour, Halifax; Nancy and husband Ted Bennitz, Newmarket, Ontario;
Christopher and wife Brenda, Bridgewater; Gordon and wife Debbie,
London, Ontario; together with ten grandchildren and two great
grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was a life-long resident
of Halifax, an avid bowler in several senior Leagues, and a past member
of IODE Chapter 324. Bessie spent several years living in Parkwood
Estates, PEI, following the death of her husband Snowden in 1974, While
in PEI, she was a member of DOSONS and attended the University of PEI
for courses in creative writing. She was a long-time active member of
Chebucto Road Home and School Association where all five of her children
attended school. Bessie will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by
her loving family and her many friends. Visitation for friends and
family, Sunday evening, August 13, 2000, 7 p.m. - 9 p.m., Snow's Funeral

LeBLANC, Edgar Frank - 84, Abram's River, passed away August 8, 2000,
in Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born December 17, 1915, in Abram's River,
he was a son of the late Raymond and Adele (Muise) Leblanc. He was a
retired carpenter. Surviving are his wife, the former Loretta LeFave;
sons, Patrick, Amirault's Hill; Lionel, Abram's River; Marcel,
Wedgeport; daughters, Frances Fitzgerald, Yolande Doucette, Vicky
Fitzgerald, Lucienne Muise, Abram's River; Miriam Muise, Mount Uniacke;
Norma Leblanc, at home; brother, Emile, Yarmouth; sister, Estelle
Warner, Abram's River; 17 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren. He
was predeceased by sons, Bradford, Eugene; daughters, Carmelle, Suzanne;

MACDONALD, Frederick Morton "Ted" - 85, formerly of Upper Dyke, Kings
Co., passed away Thursday, August 10, 2000 at the home of his daughter,
Clare, Halifax. Born in Kentville, he was a son of the late Ralph and
Carrie (Simpson) Macdonald. He attended King's College, Windsor and
graduated from King's County Academy, Kentville. During the Second World
War, he served in the RCAF. For a number of years, he owned and operated
the Kentville Music Centre and retired from the maintenance department
of the Blanchard Fraser Memorial Hospital, Kentville. He enjoyed his
retirement years at Hall's Harbour and Huntington Point on the Bay of
Fundy. He is survived by his wife, the former Frances Sweeney;
daughters, Clare (Kevin Keefe), Halifax; Joan, Halifax; Stephanie (Peter
deGraaf), Sussex, N.B.; sons, Peter, Dartmouth; Frederick (Gordia),
Canard; Ronald (Elaine), Halifax; Vincent (Cecilia), Gagetown Village,
N.B.; Brian (Kathy), Saint John, N.B.; 10 grandchildren. He was
predeceased by sister, Leone; brother, Ralph. Cremation has taken place

MacDONALD, Mavis Merle - 80, of Mahone Bay, passed away August 8, 2000
in the South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born in Black River,
Jamaica, British West Indies, she was a daughter of the late Albert and
sarah (Simms) Levy. She is survived by sons Ian MacDonald and wife
Debbie, Northwest, Lun. Co.; Robert MacDonald and wife Gertrude, Spruce
Grove, AB.; sister Zita and Ores, Jamaica; 5 grandchildren; 1
great-grandchild. She was predeceased by her husband Alfred MacDonald;

MacINTOSH, George Lewis - 80, Glen Haven Manor, New Glasgow, formerly
of High Street, New Glasgow, passed away August 8, 2000, in the manor.
Born in New Glasgow, he was a son of the late Dougald and Jane Ann
(Sutherland) MacIntosh. He was a member of Trinity United Church, New
Glasgow. Prior to retirement, he had been employed as a milkman for 32
years, Nova Scotia Power for 11 years and L.E. Shaw Ltd. for a number of
years. He enjoyed skating, playing hockey and fiddle music. Surviving
are his brother, Donald "Don" MacIntosh, Glen Haven Manor; two nieces.
He was predeceased by sister, Hilda Simpson. Arrangements have been
entrusted to P.&K. MacDonald Funeral Home, New Glasgow, from where
funeral will be 11 a.m. today, August 11, 2000, Rev. Norman Marple

MacKINNON, Malcolm Murdock - 88, Ashfield, Inverness Co., passed away Tuesday, August 8, 2000, in Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney. Born in Rosedale, Inverness Co., he was a son of the late John J. and
Christie Bell (MacKinnon) MacKinnon. He was a retired farmer and mail
driver for many years for R.R. 1 Orangedale. A member of Stewart United
Church, Whycocomagh. Surviving are daughters, Jenny Simpson, Orangedale;
Freda Waters, Halifax; Hughena Skelhorne (Dennis), Falmouth; Elaine
Walker (Bill), New Glasgow; son, Donald John (Anne), Ashfield; brother,
Christopher, Ashfield; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren. He
was predeceased by his wife, the former Eva MacKinnon; granddaughter,
Lynn; brothers, John Dan, Neil, Alec and Freddie. Arrangements have been

MEAGHER, John T., P.Eng - 79, Halifax, passed away August 8, 2000 in
the VG Site, QEII. Born in Halifax, February 22, 1921, he was a son of
the late Arthur T. and Mary (Mulcahy) Meagher. He earned his B.Eng
(Mining) from SMU and Nova Scotia Tech. He served in the Royal Canadian
Air Force during the Second World War.. John worked in many locations
across Canada, prospecting for various mining companies. In his youth,
he was an active leader with the Boy Scouts. An avid sailor all his
life, he was often found sitting on the boom of a Roue 20, or in the
colorful dingy he built for his daughter. He loved to downhill ski,
starting as a young boy with excursions to Sackville, with the Halifax
Ski Club and later with the Wentworth Rally Ski Club, only stopping a
few years ago as a member of the Seniors Ski Club. A recipient of the
American Rhododendron Society Bronze Medal Award, he had over 500
Rhododendrons and Azaleas crammed into his property with a continuous
turnover as he donated plants all over the city, including large beds at
Point Pleasant Park, Dalhousie and Regatta Point. He was a member of the
Waegwoltic Club, Halifax Homeowners Association and the Friends of
McNabs Island Society. He is survived by his wife, Jean I. (Brown);
daughter, Gail Aileen, Halifax. He was predeceased by his sister, Aileen
A.; brother, Arthur J. QC; infant daughter, Nancy Lynn. Arrangements
have been entrusted to Snow's Funeral Home, 2666 Windsor St., Halifax.

Purcell's Cove Rd., today, August 11, 2000 at 10 a.m., Rev. Richard

MILLER, Fern Christine - 73, Haliburton Road, Pictou, passed away peacefully on August 7, 2000, in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow.
Born December 10, 1926, in McLellan's Brook, she was a daughter of the
late Robert and Esther (Ballantyne) MacPherson. She graduated from the
Victoria General School of Nursing in 1949 and worked at the Sutherland
Harris Memorial Hospital, Pictou for most of her career. Although Fern
suffered from Multiple Sclerosis, her courage and love of life was an
inspiration to those fortunate enough to know her. Always quick to
laugh, always concerned about the well being of others, she generously
shared her time and wisdom. Fern will be greatly missed by her husband
of 46 years, Granville; her children, Hugh, Pictou; Susan (David),
Edmonton; Alan (Kelly), Kentville; her grandchildren, Nick, Alex and
Jeff. She was predeceased by brothers, Lloyd, Warren and John in
infancy. Arrangements have been entrusted to McLaren Funeral Home,
Pictou. A celebration of Fern's life will be held at 2 p.m. today,
August 11, 2000, in Pictou United Church, Rev. Mary Beth Moriarity
officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Heatherdale Memorial

MORRELL, Blanche Gertrude - 85, Canso, passed away Tuesday, August 8,
2000, in the Eastern Memorial Hospital, Canso. Born in Canso, she was a
daughter of the late William and Sophie (Rossong) Morrell. She resided
in Kingston for 25 years and was a member of St. Mary's Cathedral,
Kingston. A member of the Star of the Sea Parish, Canso. Surviving are
her sister, Mary (Mrs. Charles Ewart), Kingston, Ont.; nephews, Ted
(Betty) Hyndman, Elliot Lake, Ont.; Dennis (Roberta) Ewart, Belleville,
Ont.; niece, Blanche (Mark) Wilson, Kingston, Ont.; several grand-
nieces and grand-nephews. She was predeceased by brother, Wilfred
Morrell; sister, Margaret Hyndman. Cremation has taken place. No
visitation. Funeral mass will be held 11 a.m. today, August 11, in the
Star of the Sea Church, Canso, Rev. Daniel Boudreau officiating.

MORTON, Gordon Kenneth - 71, of Lower Sackville, passed away Monday,
August 7, 2000 at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Charlottetown, Prince
Edward Island. Born in Halifax, he was a son of the late James and Helen
(Brittian) Morton. At the time of his death, he was a driver for the
Limousine Airport Taxi Service. He was formerly employed for over 25
years, at the Halifax Shipyards and also been a former manager of the
Old Mill Tavern. He is survived by his wife, the former Marie Mildred
Martell, Halifax; daughters, Marie (Mrs. John Dickson), Lake Echo; Linda
(Mrs. Gary Williams), Austin Texas, USA; Deborah (Mrs. Kevin MacNeil),
Dartmouth; Darlene (Mrs. Stephen Terrio), Halifax; Cheryl Morton,
Halifax; 8 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by
brother, Reg; sister, Grace. Cremation has taken place. A memorial

OICKLE, Glennie Sarah - 95, passed away August 8, 2000 in Mahone Bay.
Born in Lower Northfield, Lunenburg County, she was a daughter of the
late Allan and Theresa (Veinotte) Slauenwhite. She was the last
surviving member of her immediate family. She was a member of St. James'
Anglican Church, Mahone Bay and a past member of the Women's Institute,
Blockhouse. She is survived by daughters, Dorothy Hopper, Southgate,
Michigan; Amy Vienneau and husband, Norbert, Halifax; Dawn Corkum and
husband, Beverley, Bridgewater; Vivian Schnare and husband, Francis,
Northwest; 11 grandchildren; several great grandchildren. She was
predeceased by her husband, Walter; an infant daughter; sons, Laurie,
Lester, Keith; sister, Fannie; brothers, Ellard and Emery. Visiting will

PENMAN, Daniel James - aged 5 years, 9 months, of Shubenacadie, passed
away at home on August 8, 2000 of cancer. Daniel was born in Truro.
Daniel was the son of Keith Alexander Penman and Teresa Petronella
Suidgeest-Penman of Shubenacadie. Daniel is survived by his younger
sister, Maria Bethany Penman. He is also survived by his grandparents,
Mary and Peter Suidgeest, of Shubenacadie and James and Delores Penman,
of Port Morien. In addition, he is survived by his Aunt Anne Suidgeest,
of Stewiacke; Uncle John Suidgeest, of Shubenacadie; Uncle Nick and Aunt
Sharlene Suidgeest, of Mississauga, Ontario; Aunt Angela and Uncle
Stephen and their daughter, Emily Larkin, of Kentville; Aunt Monica and
Uncle Fred Sgambati, of Kentville; Aunt Petra Suidgeest, of Stewiacke;
Uncle David Suidgeest, of Truro; Uncle Byron and Aunt Cathy and their
children, Gillian and Nathan Penman, of Sydney; and Aunt Debbie and
Uncle Jim Kiley, of Etobicoke, Ontario. He is survived, as well, by a
large extended family. He was predeceased by an infant cousin Breanna
Penman, of Sydney. Daniel attended the Stewiacke preschool in the
1999/2000 preschool year. He enjoyed his time at preschool particularly
with the other students. He liked riding his bicycle, watching movies
and television, playing with toys, cutting out pictures, drawing and
going to church. His lifelong pals were Bunny, Blankie and Teddy. His
favourite television character was Little Bear. He was a quiet young
gentleman, with an easy going attitude, who made friends wherever he
went. Arrangements have been entrusted to Ettinger Funeral Home,
Shubenacadie. The funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. today, August
11, 2000, at the St. Bridget's Parish in Shubenacadie. Father Arthur

RATH, Stanley Burton - 84, of Camden, passed away August 10, 2000 at
home. Born in Camden, he was a son of the late Freeman and Minerva
(Pearson) Rath. He was a well known dairy farmer and livestock dealer.
Stanley was a very loving father and husband, grandfather and
great-godfather. He is survived by his wife, the former Helen Lattie;
daughters, Sharon and husband Murray Manzer, Centreville; Bernice and
husband Jim Rowe, Harmony; Verna and husband Randy McNutt, Hammonds
Plains; daughter-in-law Deanna Rath, Truro; sons, Stuart and wife Rene,
Truro; 10 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren; many nieces and
nephews. He was predeceased by son, Glyn; sisters, Jessie Kirkpatrick,
Florence MacKenzie; brothers, Harry, Elvin, Ernest. Visitation will be
held on Saturday from 7-9 p.m.; funeral service on Sunday at 2:00 p.m,
both in Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow Street, Truro,
with Rev. Lloyd Burrows officiating. Burial in the Camden Cemetery. In

SILVER, Karl E. - 72, Martin's Brook, formerly of Bridgewater, passed
away Tuesday, August 8, 2000, in the South Shore Regional Hospital,
Bridgewater. Born in Bridgewater, he was a son of the late Elbert and
Marion Silver. He will be remembered as a successful business man
partnered with his surviving brother, Harold. He was a loving and
devoted family man and is survived by his wife, Marjorie; son, James;
daughters, Karla and Kathryn. Visitation will be held 7-9 p.m. this
evening, August 11, in Sweeny's Funeral Home, Bridgewater and from where
a memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, August 12, Rev. Willis
Ott officiating. Private family burial in Brookside Cemetery,

Multiple Sclerosis or to any charity of choice. A son, a husband, a
father, a business man. Karl was well respected and loved and will truly
be missed by all who knew him.
TANTON (MacCallum), Catherine Anne - 62, Halifax, formerly of St.
Peter's Bay, P.E.I., passed away Sunday, August 6, 2000, in the Queen
Elizabeth Hospital, Charlottetown, P.E.I. Surviving are her husband,
Darrold; son, Dr. Rob Tanton, Barrie, Ont.; daughter, Debbie Conlon, New
Jersey; two grandchildren; mother, Elizabeth MacCallum; sister, Jean
Gillis; brothers, Peter, David MacCallum. Visitation 10:30 a.m. Saturday
until the time of service. Memorial service 11:45 a.m. Saturday in
MacLean Funeral Home Chapel, Charlottetown. In lieu of flowers,

TUCKER, Mildred Elizabeth "Mim" - 74, of Dartmouth (formerly of
Bramber, Hants Co.) passed away peacefully at home on August 8, 2000.
Born December 16, 1925 in Cambridge, Hants Co., she was the daughter of
the late Roswell and Elsie (Brown) Lake of Bramber. Mim will be
remembered most for her unending love of God, her family and friends.
Mim dedicated many years of Friday nights organizing and running dances
for the Selwood Youth Group in the Bramber community. Her home and her
kitchen were open to the young people. Mim was a devoted member of the
Kempt United Baptist Church, Summerville. She is survived by her sons,
Ron (Margie), Fort McMurray, Alta.; Ken (Karen), Dartmouth; Maurice
(Rosemarie), Bramber; sister, Grace Lake, Windsor; grandchildren, Shona
Lake-Crossley; Bobbi, Troy, Danny and Chris Lake; Aaron, Kyle and Ashley
Tucker; and several great grandchildren. Mim was predeceased by husband,
Leslie Emerson Tucker; and brothers, Stafford and Norman Lake. Cremation

VEINOT, Gail Patricia - 37, Crousetown, Lunenburg County, passed away August 7, 2000 as the result of a motor vehicle accident. Born in

(Robar) Sarty, Bridgewater. She was employed as a cook with Pocketeers
Billiards Club, Bridgewater. Surviving are her husband, Michael,
Dayspring; daughters, Jaime, Bridgewater; Danielle, Crousetown; son,
Tyler, Crousetown; step-mother, Brenda Sarty, Branch LaHave; sisters,
Lisa Green, Newcombville; Janice Sarty, Branch LaHave; brothers, Daniel

YERXA, Dorothy Irene "Dot" - 90, of Halifax, passed away Wednesday,
August 9, 2000 at the QEII, V.G. Site, Halifax. Born in Brockway, New
Brunswick on January 17, 1910, she was a daughter of the late Alfred and
Myra Claire (Vail) Thomas. She is survived by son, Raymond and wife
Carol-Ann, Indian Point, Lunenburg Co.; three granddaughters, Tracy,
Angela and Jocelyn; two great-grandsons, Jean-Gabriel and Noah. She was
the last surviving member of her immediate family, having been
predeceased by her husband, Donald; daughter, Donna Bertha in infancy;
two sisters, Thelma and Bertha; six brothers, Carl, Charlie, Raymond,
Dell, Edward and Ernest. Visitation 6-9 p.m., today, August 11, 2000 in
Atlantic Funeral Home, 6552 Bayers Road, Halifax, where funeral service will be held in the Chapel at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, August 12, 2000,

ZINCK, Gladys Latisha "Tish" - 86, of Hatchett Lake, passed away on
Tuesday, August 8, 2000 at the QEII, New Infirmary Site, Halifax. Born in Terrence Bay, she was a daughter of the late Lester and Irene
(Slaunwhite) Harrie. Surviving are her sons, William "Bill" and wife,
Debbie Zinck, Gary and wife, Susie Zinck; 5 grandchildren, Lisa, Tammy,
Tara, Sandra, and Jody Zinck; 2 great grandchildren, Skyler Zinck and
Alexander Poirier; nephews, Stewart, Wayne, Lester, and Darrell Harrie;
Roddy and Gary Arnold; Donnie MacIntosh; niece, Nancy; 2 great nieces; 2
great nephews. Tisha was also a second mother to Patsy, Connie and Dolly
(daughters of her late best friend, Evelyn) and was also a very special
friend to Shirley Lynch (Her shopping buddy). She was predeceased by her
husband, Wilfred; brothers, Stewart, Dick and Bert Harrie; sister, Nona
MacIntosh; niece, Lorraine. Cremation has taken place, under the
direction of Atlantic Funeral Home, 6552 Bayers Road, Halifax. No
visitations, by request. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m.
Saturday, August 12, 2000, in St. Timothy's Anglican Church, Hatchett
Lake, with Rev. Glenn Eason officiating. Burial will be held at a later
