AUSTIN, Sarah "Sally" Maude (nee Rackham) Suddenly at home, Hill Island on Tuesday, December 12, 2000. Sally Rackham, beloved wife of Bill Austin. Much loved mother of Nancy Tegart Austin of Newboro, Jill Tegart Austin and her husband Kendall Lougheed of Ottawa and Martha Elizabeth Tegart Austin and her husband Peter Oke of Amerstview. Cherished grandmother of Connor and Stuart Oke and Martin and Matthew Lougheed. Also survived by one great-grandchild Chantal Jararusie. Predeceased by her parents Edward and Elizabeth Rackham. The family will receive friends at the Tompkins Funeral Home, 63 Garden Street, Gananoque on Saturday, December 16 from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. A memorial service will then be held in our chapel at 2 p.m. As expressions of sympathy, donations made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Canadian Diabetes Association or to the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family. BARRY-REID, Grace Evelyn (nee McKellar) (formerly of Kars) The family announces with sorrow her death, Tuesday, December 12, 2000, at the Sudbury Regional Hospital (Laurentian Site), at the age of 65 years. Daughter of the late James McKellar and of the late Alice McKellar. Beloved wife of Thomas Reid of Sudbury. Loving mother of Susan Howland (husband Brian) of Ottawa and Elizabeth Barry of Calgary. Step-mother of Thomas Reid (wife Cathy) of Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, Lauren Sachs (husband David) of Aurora and Bronwyn Grams (husband Randy) of Tottenham. Dear sister of Robert McKellar (wife Beryl), Lillian McIntyre, Kay Seymour (husband Elmer), Archie McKellar (wife Therese) all of the Ottawa area and Aileen Peddle (husband Ray) of Newfoundland. Predeceased by her sister Marguerite and by her brother Harold (wife Lillian). Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by 28 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Mrs. Barry-Reid was a retired bartender/clerk in the hospitality industry in the Ottawa area. Grace fought a brave fight against cancer since December 1994. She was well loved and admired by all who knew her. At Grace's request there will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held in her memory at a later date from the Kelly Funeral Home in Ottawa. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Northern Cancer Research Foundation would be appreciated. BEHAN, William "Bill" Peacefully at the Royal Victoria Hospital, Barrie on Thursday, December 7, 2000. Bill Behan, age 82 years, of Sandy Coves Acres and formerly of Ottawa. Beloved husband of the late Alexius Mullins. Loved father of Bill Jr. and his wife Catherine of Eganville, Ontario, Pat Lennon of Barrie and Terry and his wife Sue of Sharon, Ontario. Predeceased by his son-in-law Brian Lennon. Loving grandfather of Michael and his wife Cheryl, Jeff and his wife Terry-Ann, Deborah and her husband Andrew, Jaclyn and Jeremy. Great-grandfather of Nathan. Dear brother of Mary Kumm of Nepean, Ontario and predeceased by brother Jimmy and by his sister Margaret LaBelle. Bill was a member of the Sandy Cove Acres Dart League and the Barrie Get Together Club of the A.N.A.F., Barrie. BROWN, Clarence Wesley (Chuck) Peacefully on December 10, 2000, at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Chuck will be missed by his sister Doris (Schneider) of Ottawa, his brother Fred of Kenmore and Mrs. Anna Watts, who was like a mother to him. Funeral Services and cremation will be held at the Cruikshank Funeral Home in Halifax on Wednesday, December 13, 2000, followed by burial at the Fairview Cemetery beside his beloved grandparents Ernest and Goldie Brown. CASEY, William (Bill) Peacefully with Barbara by his side, on Sunday, December 10, 2000, William Joseph Casey in his 69th year. Beloved husband of Barbara Bolam. Loving step-father of Bob (Diane) of San Jose, California, Drew and Scott Shaw of Kingston. Predeceased by his parents William Joseph Casey and Myrtle Margaret McElroy. Cherished brother of Patricia Doyle (Jack). Bill will be sadly missed by his family, brother-in-law Bob Bolam (Jeanne Turmel) and sister-in-law Denise Pickering (Wayne), and many good friends including his associates from his many years with CFRA, CTV and CBC. CLEMENT, Adrian (Rip) Veteran WWII - RCAF Adrian, beloved husband of Lorine, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 11, 2000 in his 80th year at the Perley Rideau Veterans' Health Centre in Ottawa after a brave battle with Parkinson's Disease. Adrian is survived by his wife, Lorine, his daughter Barby (Peter Tonge) of Ottawa, his sons Bill (Cissie) of New Hope, Pennsylvania and Pete (Nora) of Pierrefonds, QC and his loving grandchildren Kris, Karin, Mikael, Savannah, Chase, Christa and Regan. Also survived by sisters Stephanie (Bill Daly) and Lucy MacKay, both of Toronto, and many nieces and nephews. Heartfelt thanks to Dr. Monahan and the dedicated staff of "Ottawa 2 East."
