BELL - MARY LOUISE BELL, beloved wife of Robert, passed away at her home midnight Monday, January 29, 2001 in her 71st year. she was very close to first cousins Kenneth Porteous and family of Edmonton, Alta, Donald MacDonald and family of Nashville, Tenn. and her uncle Rae Porteous and his wife Isabel of Chatham, ON. Equally important to Mary were her more distant cousins, Owen Nye, his wife Edna of Chatham, ON and their family; also Margaret Alton and her husband Russell of Goderich, ON. Robert's sister Marion and brother Tom of scotland were dear to her. Her friends were drawn from many circles particularly former colleagues of her 30 years as a teacher with the Lambton County Board of Education and her long association with the Sarnia Golf and Curling Club and latterly Greenwood Golf Club. special thanks to Dr. Cynthia Arnold and to V.O.N. nurses Diane, Noel and Teresa. Berry: Melvin Wilbert John
Family and friends gathered at St.John's Anglican Church, North Bay, Ontario, on Monday, February 14, 2000, as Reverend Cheryl Kristolaitis, conducted services in memory of Melvin Wilbert John Berry. Pallbearers were family members John Berry, Robert Crysler, and Jason stock, and family friends Paul Labelle, stew Fischer, and Bill Hamer. Cremation followed at the Forest Lawn Crematorium. The ashes will be buried at St.John's Anglican Cemetery, North Bay, Ontario, in the spring. Born in Deseronto, Ontario, on January 1, 1915, Mel was the beloved son of the late Pearl and Paul Berry. Melvin married Marguerite stewart, at the St.Alban's Anglican Church, Capreol, Ontario, on April 28th, 1943. Melvin worked for CP Rail for 37 years. He was a long time-member of the Canadian Club, the North Bay Masonic Lodge # 617 (a Masonic Memorial service was held at the Martyn Funeral Home on Sunday evening), the Rorab shrine Club (an Honour Guard from the shrine Club was present at the Church on Monday) and the Order of the Eastern star Fidelis No.99 (an Eastern star Memorial service was held at the Funeral Home on Sunday evening). Melvin was a lover of Lake Nipissing sunsets. Mel is survived by his wife Marguerite, and their children Joan Wright (husband Paul), Judith Crysler (husband Robert)and John Berry (wife Ann Halo). sadly missed by grandchildren sarah, Elana, Lara, stephen (Rachel), Courtney and seth Wright, Debbie Crysler-stock(Jason)and Dawn Crysler. Also missed by his great-grandchildren Eli and Liam Wright. He was predeceased by his brother Charles. Peacefully after a lengthy illness, Melvin died serenely at North Bay, Ontario, on Friday, February 11, 2000. He was 85 years old. Boedecker: George Nicholas

George Nicholas Boedecker, 86, longtime resident of Pueblo, died Tuesday morning, August 28, 2001, surrounded by the comfort of home and family. George was born September 10, 1914. He attended Central High school and Pueblo Junior College. On March 3, 1939, he married Ethel Yoder and they spent 62 wonderful years together. George was employed by CF&I steel Corporation for 41 years. There he worked as area supervisor in the rail mill-rod mill quality control. He retired in 1977 and then enjoyed traveling and working with stained glass. Mr. Boedecker was a lifetime member of the Elks Club and he attended the Divine science Church where he enjoyed working on many projects. His family will remember him as a devoted husband, loving father, a fun-loving, game playing grandpa, and a kind and faithful friend. George is survived by his beloved wife, Ethel; his son and daughter-in-law, Wayne and Helen Boedecker of Anchorage, Alaska. He will be sadly missed by his grandchildren, Brad Boedecker of Anchorage, Alaska and Janet Boedecker of Bend, Oregon. Also surviving are his sister and brother-in-law, Marge and Roy Browder of Montgomery, Alabama; sister-in-law, Ruth Wilks of Brackettville, Texas; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Ralph and Oleta Yoder of Karval, Colorado; and numerous nieces and nephews. As per his request, his body was donated to Colorado state Anatomical Board. The Memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, August 31, 2001, at the Divine science Church, with Reverend Earleen Cornell officiating. Jim worked for B&D Insulation, and was a member of the Sarnia & District Bowling Association. He was very well known and liked in the Bowling Community. Jim's love of the game was second only to the love of his family. Cremation has taken place. A service in celebration of Jim's life will be held at 12 noon on Friday March 9, 2001, at the McKenzie & Blundy Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 431 Christina St. N., Sarnia. Dear grandmother of Ann Groom and her husband John of Corbeil, Nancy Doner and her husband Geoffrey Rossi of Etobicoke, Larry Doner of Toronto, Nancy and Jim Yorke of Barrie. 'Grandma the Great' to Megan, Jordan, Wesley, Jessica, and Calvin. At Mrs. Bowie's request, there will be no visitation or service. Aunt of Jane Thompson, Shanty Bay, Penny Richards, Toronto, John MacDonald, Listowel and Fred von Zuben, Morristown, NJ. Also surviving are several grandchildren, great-nieces and nephews. Predeceased by parents John and Phoebe MacDonald, sister Marguerite von Zuben and brothers Stuart Macdonald, Archie MacDonald and Ralph MacDonald. Dorothy served with the R.C.A.F. (W.D.) and was a graduate of Victoria College, University of Toronto. she was also a member of Central United Church, Ontario secondary school Teachers Federation and the Sarnia Golf & Curling Club. she was an avid golfer for 60 years and an active bridge player. Visitation at the McKenzie & Blundy Funeral Home, 431 N. Christina St., Sarnia Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. where the funeral service will be held Friday at 1 p.m. with Rev.
