He practiced medicine on Pelee Island from 1930 to 1933, from 1933 until 1937 in Kingsville and Leamington and then began his practice in Wheatley in 1937 and served the families in the community until 1992. He was a charter member of the Wheatley Lions Club, a member of the Wheatley Friendship Club and Talbot Trail Golf Club and a former member of the Gay Blades Skating Club, Leamington. Memorial donations made by cheque to the Leamington Hospital Foundation would be appreciated.

At Grey Bruce Health Services on Thursday, September 21, 2000. Carl Ehni of Owen Sound in his 88th year. Beloved husband of Beatrice (nee Davidson). Dear father of Gail and her husband Burke Mason of Owen Sound and Carl and his wife Terry of Cambridge. Sadly missed by six grandchildren Janet (George), Burke (Vicki), Jennifer (Rob), Adele (Darcy), Kyle and Tara and he is the ice cream man to ten great-grandchildren. Also survived by a sister Viola Graham of British Columbia. The Prosser family was one of the pioneer families of Leamington, moving to the Leamington Community in 1869. Marie was an original member of the Leamington Hospital Auxiliary, a member of Knox Presbyterian Church and the Knox Sunshine Afternoon Auxiliary, which became the Isabel McConnell Auxiliary and the Margaret Ramsay Auxiliary. Marie was a longtime employee at the Bank of Montreal. Helen (Sopel) Gibson, 85, passed away September 4, 2001. Born April 15, 1916, in Pueblo and was a lifetime resident. Beloved wife of Richard G. Gibson. Survivors include her devoted children, Paul Sopel, Margo (John) Kunkel, Kenneth ( JoLana) Sopel; stepchildren, Robert Gibson and Karen (Lee) Story. Also survived by 9 Grandchildren and 8 Great-Grandchildren; sisters, Emma Huffman, Denver, and Marge (Gene) Harrington, Pueblo. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and Ruhamah Temple #71 Daughters of the Nile. Helen loved teaching swimming at the Steel Works Y.M.C.A. and was one of the first swimming teachers when the City Park Pool was built. She has requested no viewing nor services. Cremation, Montgomery & Steward Crematorium. Please omit food and flowers. Remembrances may be made in her memory to the First United Methodist Church Memorial Fund or the Shriners Crippled Children's Hospital Transportation Fund through the funeral home.

Doreen will be deeply missed by her music and drama students of recent years and of years gone by. Her teaching has been an inspiration to all and has helped lead students to rewarding careers in the arts. Predeceased by her parents A. Stanley and Mabel Stubbs of Hull, England and first husband David M. Johnstone. Doreen was born in Hull, East Yorkshire and educated in London, England and Vienna, Austria.
