GLORIA R. (NEWBY) MARTIN
Mrs. Martin, 73, a former Colorado Springs resident, died Dec. 9, 2001, at her home in Williston, N.D., of lung cancer. She was a retired registered nurse. Mrs. Martin was born Dec. 23, 1927, in Colorado Springs to Thomas and Romayne Newby, who are deceased. She was married July 12, 1946, to Howard Martin, who is deceased. She is survived by two daughters, Deborah Lankford and Terry Robinson; a brother, Wayne Newby; three sisters, Sharon Treat, Dawn Allen and Carolyn Bennet; a stepsister, Darlene Costner; and six grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, Gene Street; and a grandchild. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. today at Everson Funeral Home, Williston, (701) 572-3738.
