Albert Lyles '22, Rosemead, Calif., Mar. 29, 1995.

Edward "Brent" Jordan '28, New Castle, Colo., Jan. 7. He is remembered as a scientist, teacher, artist and poet. He was nominated to Who's Who in America - Western Half in November, 1994.

Georgie Danks Ritchey '30, Colorado Springs, Jan. 8. She was an educator and board member of the Colorado Springs Day Nursery.

Hugh Baker '32, Sonoma, Calif., Sept. 27. Survivors include his wife, Jessie.

Harriett Kingsley Hahn '32, Lincoln, Neb., Feb. 7. Survivors include her husband, Homer.

William Hinkley '32, Denver, Jan. 21. He was the superintendent of Aurora School District #28J from 1949 to 1967, during which time he served as president of Colorado's largest teacher's union. Aurora Hinkley High School was named for him. Fellow alumnus Eugene Albo '49 remarked, "He was an outstanding educator. He was the catalyst that made Aurora School District what it is today." William was an outstanding athlete and past president of the Colorado High School Activities Association (CHSAA). He was named to the Colorado Sports Hall of Fame in 1986 and was an inaugural member of the CHSAA Hall of Fame in 1989. He served as Fifty Year Club president at Colorado College in 1987-88. Survivors include his wife, Lois Coolbaugh Hinkley '35.

Abe Mogilner '33, Colorado Springs, July 27, 1993. Survivors include his wife, Lottie Obodov Mogilner '38.

Frederick Nichols '33, Charlottesville, Va., Apr. 9, 1995. He retired in 1982 as the Cary D. Langhorne professor of architecture at the University of Virginia. He was the former chairman of the Dept. of Architectural History, overseeing the restoration of the rotunda and other Jeffersonian buildings at the university. He held top posts in numerous art and architectural organizations and in 1976 was appointed a member of The National Fine Arts Commission.

Marie Hoag Albertoli '34, Colorado Springs, Dec. 16. Her sister, Anne Hoag Blunt '37, passed away March 5.

Helen Baldwin '34, Seattle, Feb. 23, 1995.

Marcella O'Connell Fields '34, Lake Forest, Calif., Mar. 11. Survivors include her husband, Hudson Fields '34.

Clara Haeker Gloss '34, Colorado Springs, Dec. 31. She was active with the Boy Scouts of America and a devoted volunteer for many local performing arts organizations.

Dorothy Martin Jasper '34, Denver, Oct. 30. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Jasper '34.

Anne Hoag Blunt '37, Colorado Springs, Mar. 5. She and her husband owned Blunt Mortuary in Colorado Springs. She was preceded in death by her sister, Marie Hoag Albertoli '34, and her son, Frank Florey '54. Survivors include her grandson, Thomas Florey '94.

Floyd Hughes '38, Council Bluffs, Iowa, Sept. 13. Survivors include his wife, Janie, daughter, Sandra Hughes Boyd '61, and son, Steven Hughes '69.

James Fennell '39, Denver, Jan. 3. He was a banker and businessman and he was active in Denver politics. Survivors include his wife, Marjorie.

Laura Work Thomas '39, Bethany, Okla., Oct. 26.

Charlie Meigs '41, Colorado Springs, Apr. 14. He was retired from teaching.

Dorothea Hansen Clark '42, Colorado Springs, Mar. 5. She served as past president of both Social Service Citizen's Advisory Board and Care and Share Inc., and was a member of Pikes Peak Habitat for Humanity.

Wilson Marshall Cross '45, Colorado Springs , Feb. 18.

Phoebe MacLean Foster '46, Winnetka, Ill. May 25, 1995. Survivors include her husband, Frank, her aunt, Dorothy Jean Barker MacLean '25, and cousin, Elizabeth MacLean Larned '83.

Betty Jo Wilson Mullas '46, Detroit, Mich., Dec. 17. She was the director of the Resource Center for the Presbytery of Detroit for 19 years. Survivors include her husband, William.

Clare Barton Redd '46, San Angelo, Texas, Oct. 6. She was director of the Concho Valley Regional Food Bank. Survivors include her husband, Aloysius.

Suzanne Armstrong Starr, MAT '46, Colorado Springs, Mar. 24. Survivors include her husband, William, brother, Willis Armstrong '37, sister, Jean Armstrong Jones '44, nieces, Ann Armstrong Scarboro '63 and Suzanne Armstrong Smith '64, and son, William Starr '90. She was preceded in death by her brother, David Armstrong '29, and sister, Frances Armstrong '31.

Francis DeMarco '47, Colorado Springs, Jan. 30. He was a retired band teacher.

John Folsom '48, Littleton, Colo., Mar. 30. He was a contractor, construction arbitrator and real estate broker.

Jack McCullough '48, Colorado Springs, Feb. 10. He was a retired civil engineer for the City of Colorado Springs. Survivors include his wife, Helen Isaac McCullough '48, and daughter, Linda McCullough Vandezande '70.

Leslie Brown '49, Paw Paw, Mich., Sept. 28. He was retired as director of environmental health for Van Buren County. In 1993, he was named "Man of the Year" by the Paw Paw Chamber of Commerce.

Roy Jarard "Jerry" Bayless '52, Englewood, Colo., Jan. 5. Survivors include his wife, Roxanna, and brother, Jordan '51.

Harold Clare '52, Florissant, Colo., Nov. 23. He was a retired postmaster and one of the founders of the Florissant Lake George Chamber of Commerce. Survivors include his wife, Toni.

John Hotson '52, Scarborough, Ont., Jan. 21.

Joseph Stoddard '52, Craig, Colo., Feb. 9, 1989. Survivors include his brother, Charles '50, and his son, Jeffrey '80.

Marion Vandemoer '52, Denver, Feb. 29. Survivors include her brother, Herbert Vandemoer '44, sister-in-law, Lydia Filonowicz Vandemoer '47, and sister, Nancy Vandemoer Hill '48.

Frank Zigowski '55, Milwaukee, Wis., Sept. 23. He was a retired teacher in the Milwaukee public school system.

Bill Atwood '56, Woodland Park, Colo., Feb. 17. He was a retired high school history teacher.

Elaine Demis Christy '57, Denver, Nov. 27. Survivors include her husband, George. Thomas Gentry '57, Turlock, Calif., June 14, 1995. He was a psychology professor at California State University-Stanislaus, where he taught for 22 years. Survivors include his wife, Marie Polzine.

Robert Fox '58, San Francisco, Sept. 17.

Berkley Brannon '60, Oceano, Calif., Feb. 4. He was manager of the Oceano Community Services District. Survivors include his mother, Grace Berkley Brannon '27, his uncle, Jack Waymire '38, his son, Berkley '83, and his daughter, Virginia '85. He was preceded in death by his uncle, Ben Brannon '41.

Kirby Howlett '60, West Friendship, Md., Feb. 10. He was a public defender and adjunct professor at Georgetown University Law Center. Survivors include his wife, Robin, daughter, Amy Howlett Johnson '93, and son-in-law, Toby Johnson '91.

Norman Holmes '64, Colorado Springs, Aug. 4, 1995. He was retired from the Air Force and Colorado Springs School District 11.

Ronald Reeves '64, Denver, Feb. 25. Survivors include his wife, Nancy.

Denise Clark Carrick '76, Woody Creek, Colo., Dec. 3, in an accident. She worked with the Snowmass Ski Patrol and was preparing to take her state nursing exams.

Megan Farrell-Johnson '86, Carmel, Calif., May 12, 1995, of complications from diabetes.
