Pauline Schneiter
Pauline Schneiter, 101, died Feb. 1 at Columbine Manor Nursing Home in Salida.
She was born in New Philadelphia, Ohio, Sept. 11, 1899, to John and Anna Wallick.
She married Carl Schneiter June 20, 1918.
They moved to Buena Vista, Colo. in 1945 and owned and operated Schneiter Service Station, Grocery and Liquor (now Little Daisy). After selling the businesses, she managed the Sterling Trailer Court for 17 years. After that was sold, she lived with her daughter Ruth Linke and grandchildren Cal and Carle in Buena Vista.
For many years she was very active in the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. She loved to crochet and embroider and gave most of her work away through the Legion.
She was preceded in death by her husband Carl in 1950; and her daughter Geraldine in 1961.
She is survived by her daughter Ruth Linke, Buena Vista; son Carl (Elva) Schneiter, Leadville; eight grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren.
Interment will be with her husband at Dover Burial Park in Dover, Ohio. Memorial services are pending. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the American Legion Post #55, Buena Vista.
Marcel M. Molleur
Leadville resident Marcel M. Molleur, 60, died Feb. 1 at St. Anthony Central Hospital in Denver.
He is survived by his wife Cheryl Molleur, Leadville; and four children.
Visitation was Tuesday, Feb. 6 at the Bailey Funeral Home.
The Rosary was recited Tuesday and Mass of Christian Burial was Wednesday, Feb. 7, both at Annunciation Catholic Church.
Interment was in Evergreen Cemetery and a reception followed at the Leadville Elk's Lodge.
The Molleurs are requesting friends to write down "memories" of Marcel or send any pictures you might have of him along with your name and address.
Arrangements are being handled by Bailey Funeral Home.

Shirley L. McCall
Shirley L. McCall, 75, Denver, died Feb. 3.
She is survived by her husband Wally M. McCall; children Jack W. (Angel) McCall; Jim (Debbie) McCall, Leadville; brother Melvin Saunders; five grandchildren and five great grandsons.
Funeral services were Feb. 7 at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 3101 S. Wadsworth.
Interment was in Norwood, Colo.

Herb Thomson
Herb Thomson, 74, died Feb. 21 at his home in Estes Park.
He was born in Leadville on July 27, 1926 to Laurence and Viola (Foster ) Thomson.
He graduated from Leadville High School and entered the U.S. Navy for two years during WW II, stationed in the South Pacific.
After returning home from the war, he went to college and earned a Bachelors of Fine Arts from Denver University, class of 1950.
He married Rosa Witsell on Easter Sunday, March 25, 1951 in Denver.
After college, he worked for Mountain States phone company in Phoenix for four years and then taught art in junior high school in Pueblo for another four years.
In 1962 he moved to Estes Park to pursue a career in art. He taught in the Estes Park schools for several years and was the camp artist at the Y.M.C.A. of the Rockies for 14 years.
Annually, he presented the Tommy Thomson memorial award to a member of the Park School District staff. The award was a gifted painting by Herb in memory of his father, Tommy Thomson, who had been a science teacher and principal of Leadville High School.
In 2000, he received the Community Service to Education award.
He was a member of St. Bartholomew's Episcopal Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers.
He is survived by his wife Rosa Thomson, Estes Park; daughter Susan (Harry) Stevenson, Travelers Rest, S.C.; sons Bruce Thomson, Las Vegas, Nev.; Scott (Jona) Thomson, McCleary, Wash.; and Steve (Sue) Thomson Lafayette, Colo.; cousins Gaylord Thomson; Mary Louise Gilkes; Frank (Christine) Heider; and Roger (Joann) Martin; and nine grandchildren.
A memorial service was held Feb. 26 at St. Bartholomew's Episcopal Church with the Rev. M. Paul Garrett officiating.
Interment was at St. Bartholomew's Churchyard Columbarium.
