Raymond Robert Schutte, 84, died Feb. 4 at home in Brush, Colo. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Feb. 9 at 11 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 340 Stanford, in Brush, Colo. A complete obituary will be in next week’s Herald Democrat.

John L. Hundley, 85, died Feb. 4 at home in Concordia, Kansas
Ruth B. Kelly
Ruth B. Kelly, 95, died Oct. 3 in her home in Leadville.
The Rosary and Mass were held on Oct. 6 at Annunciation Catholic Church in Leadville.
She was taken to Mt. Olivet Cemetery where she was entombed next to her husband, Edward J. Kelly.
Arrangements were handled by Bailey Funeral Home.

Angela Raymunda Pacheco
Angela Raymunda Pacheco, 73, died May 26 at St. Vincent General Hospital in Leadville.
She was born in Taos, N.M. on Nov. 13, 1928 to Thomas and Virginia (Lara) Rendon.
After graduating from high school in Taos, she married Arturo Pacheco on Aug. 23, 1946.
In 1968, they moved to Leadville for employment. She worked as a nurses aide at St. Vincent Hospital for many years.
When asked about her hobbies, her family replied, "Bingo! Bingo! And Bingo!” She loved spending time with her family and friends and also enjoyed crocheting.
She was a member of Annunciation Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Arturo, who died in 1996; one sister; and one daughter, Grace Padilla, who died in 1979.
She is survived by her children Mercy Pacheco, Denver; Ramona (Jose A.) Vigil, Leadville; Arthur (Rose) Pacheco, Jr., Albuquerque, N.M.; Catherine (Charlie) Aragon, Santa Fe, N.M.; Yolanda Pacheco, Denver; and Rose (Ronnie) Mondragon, Leadville; brothers Jose (Versa) Rendon, Taos, N.M.; Sabino Rendon, Albuquerque, N.M.; and Comelio Rendon, Taos, N.M.
She is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren; and numerous other relatives.
Her wishes were to be cremated and her family held a Memorial Rosary for her on May 29 at 7 p.m. at Annunciation Catholic Church in Leadville. Father Tom Killeen officiated. Honorary pallbearers were her ten grandsons.
Her ashes were buried with her husband at Ft. Logan National Cemetery in Denver.

Austin Edward LaCome
Austin Edward LaCome, 51, died May 28 near his residence in Florence, Colo.
He was born in Leadville on June 20, 1950 to Alonzo and Tina LaCome. He went to school in Leadville, graduating from Lake County High School.
He then went to work for the Climax Molybdenum Co. as a heavy equipment operator, working there for 11 years. He moved on to work for the Lake County School District for the last 14 years.
Recently, he moved to Florence, where he worked in Colorado Springs as a heavy equipment operator; he loved the warmer climate there.
To say that he loved golf would be an understatement. Most of his spare time was spent on the course.
He also enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, hiking and watching football. His favorite team was the Raiders.
But most of all, he loved taking care of his Mom, enjoying the outdoors with his family, and spending time with his girlfriend. His family and friends will always remember him calling them "Kootch."
He had a heart of gold, and was always willing to lend a hand. He had a way of making people smile, and laugh, and feel good about themselves.
He was a member of St Joseph Catholic Church and the Eagle's Lodge of Leadville.
He was preceded in death by his father Alonzo, who died in 1999; and his nephew Frank O'Neal, who died in 1985.
He is survived by his mother Tina LaCome, Leadville; brothers and sisters Lonnie (Kathie) LaCome; Moses (Bea Hall) LaCome; and Louis (Peggy) LaCome; all in Leadville; Josie LaCome, Broomfield; Ben (Lucille) LaCome, Colorado Springs; Larry (Karen Greenfield) LaCome, Greeley; and April (Joe) Fetters, Leadville; numerous nieces and nephews; and girlfriend Pauline Hudnall, Florence.
A Memorial Rosary was recited on May 31 and a Memorial Mass was held June 1, both at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Leadville. Father Tom Killeen officiated and Joan Dawson sang accompanied by Beverly Pologar.
Honorary pallbearers were Kyle LaCome, Benjamin LaCome, Matthew LaCome, Joey Fetters, Ellen Boettcher, Brian Bond, John French, Mark Glean, Donna Guttersohn, and Gene Roger.
Following the service a reception was hosted by the Leadville Eagle's Lodge.
His wishes were to be cremated and his ashes scattered at one of his favorite fishing places, West Tennessee Lakes.
Arrangements were handled by Bailey Funeral Home.
