SMITH:
Hazel E. Smith of Loveland. Funeral services 1 p.m. Thursday at Allnutt-Hunter Chapel. Visitation will take place from 5-8 p.m. tonight at the Allnutt-Hunter Chapel. Interment Resthaven Memory Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to the Special Olympics in care of Allnutt Funeral Service.
Hazel E. Reese Smith, 85, of Loveland, died Dec. 10, 2001, at Sierra Vista Health Care Center in Loveland.
She was born Jan. 17, 1916, in Pittsburg, Kan., to Fred and Eva Wright Clark. She attended school in Masonville. She was a former resident of La Salle and had been a resident of Loveland since 1962.
She married John Reese; he died in November 1967. She married Leonard H. Smith on April 17, 1971, in Longmont. He died March 23, 1983.
Mrs. Smith was a member of the Loveland Seventh-day Adventist Church. She previously belonged to the Southern Baptist Church and was active in teaching Sunday school and Bible classes.
She was a homemaker and also worked at Head Start in Loveland.
She enjoyed crafts, embroidery, sewing and quilting and was an avid reader.
She is survived by a son, James P. Reese of Phoenix, Ariz.; two daughters, Myrna Reese Stevens of Greeley and Samantha Waschak of Phoe-nix; stepson Tim Smith of Bartlesville, Okla.; sisters Wanda White of Brush and Marie Clark of Loveland; 12 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by an infant daughter; a stepdaughter; four brothers; and two sisters.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. today at the Allnutt-Hunter Chapel.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Special Olympics in care of the Allnutt-Hunter Chapel.

COLLING:
Adele Colling of Loveland. A memorial service will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 9, at the First Christian Church. Cremation has been conducted. Memorial contributions may be made to the Mildred Kimball Memorial Nursing Scholarship in care of the Allnutt-Hunter Chapel.
Adele Colling, 90, of Loveland, died Feb. 6, 2002, at North Shore Health Care Facility in Loveland.
She was born April 22, 1911, in Green Lake, Wis., to James and Mar-tha Hazelwood Kimball. She married Darl cqL. Colling on Aug. 16, 1937, in Harrisburg, Neb.
She was a former resident of Hemet, Calif., and Laramie, Wyo. She had been a resident of Loveland since April 1998.
Mrs. Colling was a devoted mother of two children and a devoted wife. She was a homemaker.
She was the youngest of seven children who were part of a pioneer eastern Wyo-ming family that homesteaded in Goshen County, Wyo. She was very active in Laramie and Hemet social activities.
She is survived by her husband, Darl Colling of Loveland; two sons, Howard Colling and wife Jan of Cedaredge, Colo., and Sandy Colling and wife Brenda of Castle Rock, Colo.; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; six brothers and sisters; and grandson Kevin Colling, a U.S. Navy pilot and member of the Blue Angels.
Direct cremation has been conducted.
The family will conduct a memorial service at 1 p.m. Saturday at the First Christian Church.

DEARING:
Herman L. Dearing of Fort Collins. Memorial services Monday, 10 a.m., Kibbey-Fishburn Funeral Chapel. Memorial donations to the charity of your choice.
Herman Lloyd "Slim" Dearing, 69, of the Loveland area, died Feb. 2, 2002, at his home.
He was born Feb. 22, 1932, in Chandler, Ariz., to William P. and Nanie Mae Somerville Dearing.
He worked as a welder and had lived in the Loveland-Fort Collins area for 30 years.
Mr. Dearing worked with children's activities and helped fund children's educations. He enjoyed gardening and woodworking.
He is survived by two brothers, Perry Gene Dearing and wife Marcie of Euless, Texas, and Sam Dearing and wife Sheri of Kirtland, N.M.; two nephews; and two nieces.
He was preceded in death by brothers Carl Ray Dearing and James Calvin Bush.
Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the Kibbey-Fishburn Funeral Chapel, with the Rev. John Turnage officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.

KECHTER:
Harvey Victor Kechter, 63, of Fort Collins, died Feb. 5, 2002, at his home.
He was the father of Loveland residents Chuck Kechter and Tom Kechter. He also is survived by several other relatives.
He was born Nov. 16, 1938, in Fort Collins, to George Kechter Jr. and Louise Bath Kechter.
Cremation will be conducted.
A service to celebrate Mr. Kechter's life will be 1-4 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 16, at 1314 W. 36th St. in Loveland.
Memorial contributions may be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
Bohlender Funeral Chapel in Fort Collins is in charge of arrangements.

MILLER:
Bruno H. Miller of Loveland. Funeral services will be 10 a.m., today, Saturday Feb. 9, at Allnutt-Hunter Chapel. Interment in Resthaven Memory Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice in care of Allnutt-Hunter Chapel.
Bruno H. Miller, 93, of Loveland, died Feb. 5, 2002, at McKee Medical Center in Loveland.
He was born Oct. 20, 1908, in Humphrey, Neb., to Anton and Augusta Sieper Miller.
He married Louise P. Zimmer on Feb. 24, 1936, in Ansley, Neb. She preceded him in death in March 1991.
Mr. Miller was a resident of Elm Creek, Neb., for 25 years and had been a Loveland resident since 1967.
He worked as a farmer until 1967. He also worked for the city of Loveland's Street Department. After his retirement, he drove a beet truck for Zimmerman Brothers.
He was a member of St. John's Catholic Church in Loveland. He enjoyed working on cars, fishing and hunting - particularly duck hunting on the Platte River.
He is survived by a son, Bruno Miller of Westminster; three daughters, Louise Parman of Denver, Andrea Miller of Cheyenne and Jeanne Wooley of Thornton; a brother, John Miller of Hastings, Neb.; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Allnutt-Hunter Chapel, 2100 N. Lincoln Ave.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Friday at Allnutt-Hunter Chapel.
Burial will be in Resthaven Memory Gardens.
Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice in care of Allnutt-Hunter Chapel.

NELSON:
Jeffrey L. Nelson, 42, of Milliken, formerly of Loveland, died Feb. 3, 2002, in the Hospice unit at Fairacres Manor in Greeley.
He was born Aug. 20, 1959, in Loveland, to Lloyd and Mae Nelson. He attended school in Loveland and Johns-town.
He received an associate's degree in auto mechanics from Aims Community College.
Mr. Nelson served in the U.S. Navy from 1977-1978.
He enjoyed the mountains, fishing and his family.
Mr. Nelson is survived by a son, Justin Frank of Loveland; daughter, Chana Elliott, whereabouts unknown; his mother, Mae Nelson of Milliken; two brothers, John Nelson and Paul Nelson and wife Francis of Loveland; two sisters, Laura Joan Nelson of Milliken and Marilyn Hadley and husband Garry of Greeley; three aunts, uncle, nine nieces and nephews and a cousin.
He was preceded in death by his father, Lloyd Nelson, a brother, Micheal, and a sister, Loralie.
A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Friday at Northern Colorado Crematory, 700 Eighth St., Greeley.
Memorial gifts may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Northern Colorado, 2726 W. 11th Road, Greeley, 80634.

SCHROEDER:
Glenn Burnett Schroeder, 74, of Greeley, died Feb. 6, 2002, at Hospice and Palliative Care of Northern Colorado's Inpatient Unit at North Colorado Medical Center in Greeley.
He was born July 12, 1927, in the Salt Creek Community near Dallas, Ore., to Alfred Raymond Schroeder and Vesta Abigail Zumwalt Schroeder.
He married Carolyn Jeanne Ledgerwood on Feb. 14, 1962, in Vienna, Austria.
He graduated from Dallas High School in Dallas, Ore., in 1945, and received a bachelor's degree from Oregon College of Education in Monmouth, Ore., in 1953. He received a master's degree in education from the University of Oregon in 1959, and a doctorate in education from the University of New Mexico in 1969.
He served in the U.S. Navy as a Navy corpsman from 1945 to 1946 and again as a Navy corpsman attached to the Marine Corps in Korea from 1950 to 1951. He was awarded two Purple Hearts.
Mr. Schroeder began his career in education in Myrtle Creek, Ore. In 1959, he went to Germany to teach for the Department of Defense overseas schools in Kitzingen, Germany. He went on to be principal of the elementary school in Hohenfels, Germany, then opened a junior high school in Straubing, Germany, and Giessen, Germany.
He taught at Temple University in Philadelphia until 1971 after earning his doctorate. He then joined the graduate faculty in the School of Education at the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley.
He retired in 1989 and became an amateur genealogist, producing thoroughly researched family histories for his and his wife's families. He was an expert in retirement.
Mr. Schroeder is survived by his wife, Carolyn of Greeley; three sons, Jason Lee and Christopher Gray, both of Canistota, S.D., and Peary Whitman of Greeley; a sister, Gayle Parret of Anderson, Calif.; stepsisters, Darlene Amos of Sargent, Neb., and Delores Johnson of Redwood City, Calif.; six grandchildren, including Rebecca Aho of Loveland.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Lorna.
Memorial services will be 1 p.m. Monday at Hope Centrecq, 803 10th Ave., Greeley.
Cremation will be conducted, with burial in Salt Creek Cemetery in Oregon at a later time.

SEDITA:
Bertha E. Sedita of Loveland. Direct cremation. No services are scheduled at this time. Memorial contributions may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society in care of the Allnutt-Hunter Chapel.

Bertha E. Sedita, 59, of Loveland, died Feb. 5, 2002, at McKee Medical Center in Loveland.
She was born May 19, 1942, in Barton, Vt., to Severin and Rose Marie Vandal Cloutier. She married Salvatore F. "Sam" Sedita on June 24, 1967, in Barton.
Mrs. Sedita lived in Aurora and was a resident of St. Charles, Mo., for 17 years. She moved to Loveland in August 2000.
She was a member of Queen of Peace Roman Catholic Church in Aurora, where she was active in the choir. She enjoyed singing in numerous church choirs and spending time with her family.
Mrs. Sedita is survived by her husband, Sam Sedita of Loveland; two daughters, Angeline Sedita of New York City and Nicole Sedita of Thornton; five brothers, Ray Cloutier and Jim Cloutier, both of California, Reggie Cloutier of Florida, Gator Cloutier of Nevada, and Bob Cloutier of Texas; two sisters, Rita Kimball of Florida and Martha Brown of Vermont.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother.
Direct cremation. No services are scheduled at this time.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society in care of Allnutt-Hunter Chapel.

WAGNER:
Beverly L. Wagner of Loveland. Widow of Joseph "Joe" Wagner. Cremation will be conducted. Private family service scheduled. Memorial contributions to Hospice of Larimer County in care of Kibbey-Fishburn Funeral Home.

Beverly L. Wagner, 77, a longtime resident of Loveland, died Feb. 6, 2002, at the Hospice Center at McKee Medical Center in Loveland following a lengthy illness.
She was born in Santa Monica, Calif., on June 15, 1924, the daughter of Frank and Irene Seguine.
She was married to Joseph "Joe" Wagner, who preceded her in death in April 1979.
Throughout her life she was an avid seamstress, enjoying sewing and making clothing and draperies for others. She enjoyed doing all types of needlework, including crocheting, knitting and cross-stitch, which she shared with her family and friends.
She worked at Hewlett-Packard until her retirement. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Mrs. Wagner is survived by three daughters, Twylah Seguine of Beckley, W.Va., Bernadine Bezdik of Everett, Wash., and Cheryl Anderson of Loveland; a sister-in-law, Laurel "Penny" Seguine, of Palmer, Alaska; eight grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Merle Seguine, and a great-granddaughter, Beverly.
At her request, cremation has been conducted. There will be no services.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Larimer County in care of Kibbey-Fishburn Funeral Home.

ASHFORD:
Edith J. Ashford, 90, of Longmont, died April 3, 2002, at Life Care Center of Longmont.
She was born July 18, 1911, in Brookville, Kan., to George and Elizabeth Wheaton. She grew up and attended school in Colby, Kan.
She married L.J. "Jack" Ashford on Jan. 6, 1931. Together they owned and operated many restaurants, the last of which was The Dude Corral in Loveland.
Mrs. Ashford moved to Longmont in 1965 after the death of her husband and became a real estate broker. She established and operated Alert Realty & Investment Co. until its sale in 1983, when she retired.
She was an active member of the First United Methodist Church in Longmont, Beta Sigma Phi Sorority and Soroptimist Club.
She was an avid bridge player and enjoyed many friends, both in Longmont and Sun City, Ariz., where she kept a second home and spent winters.
She is survived by son Jack Ashford and wife Jenni of Longmont; daughter Peggy Ashford of Longmont; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and many nephews and nieces.
She was preceded in death by her husband, two brothers, two sisters and one grandchild.
Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at First United Methodist Church, 350 11th Ave., Longmont, the Rev. Granville Smythe Jr. officiating. Cremation will be at Ahlberg Funeral Chapel. Private inurnment will be at Loveland Burial Park beside her husband.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Boulder County or American Heart Association in care of Ahlberg Funeral Chapel, 326 Terry St., Longmont, 80501.
