George L. Arndt, 84, of Loveland died Sept. 28, 2002, at the McKee Medical Center in Loveland.
George was born Oct. 9, 1917, in Westfield, Iowa, to William D. and Cecelia Schemmel Arndt. He grew up in Granville, Iowa, and lived in Sioux City, Iowa, as a teenager.
George met and married Maxine T. Plummer. They were married Aug. 23, 1938, in Sioux City.
George served in the U.S. Army from July 1944 through February 1946. He served during the European African Middle Eastern Theatre Campaign, receiving three Bronze Stars and a Good Conduct Medal.
When he returned from military service George began his career with Continental Baking Co., distributors for Wonder Bread, as a route salesman. He moved from Sioux City in 1952 to Yankton, S.D., and then to Loveland in 1975, after retiring in 1974.
Following retirement, George drove a school bus for Thompson School District R2-J for several years.
George loved to play golf, fish, read, do crossword puzzles and listen to sports on TV and radio. He was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels.
He is survived by sons Dennis R. “Buzz” Arndt and wife LaVon of Kent, Wash., and Michael W. Arndt of Canyon, Texas; daughter Marcia K. Aune and husband Doug of Loveland; grandchildren Heather Aune of Fort Collins, Noel Caryl and husband Colin of Duvall, Wash., David Arndt and wife Christina of Houston, Texas, and Chris Arndt and wife Lisa of Vidor, Texas; and great-grandchildren Tristan Caryl of Duvall, Jonathan and Andrew Arndt of Houston, and Daniel and Caleb Arndt of Vidor.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Maxine T. Arndt, Aug. 7, 1998.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Kibbey-Fishburn Funeral Home, the Rev. Kim Latterell officiating. Viewing will be 9 a.m.-5 a.m. today at Kibbey-Fishburn Funeral Home and at the conclusion of services Wednesday.
Burial will be at Loveland Burial Park.
Memorial contributions may be made to McKee Foundation in care of Kibbey-Fishburn Funeral Home or to Meals on Wheels.
BASHOR:
Jack Bashor, 70, of Loveland died Oct. 1, 2002, at Mc-Kee Medical Center in Loveland.
He was born May 11, 1932, in Berthoud to Fred and Margaret Mae Ellenberger Bashor.
He was raised in the Loveland area and graduated from Loveland High School in 1951.
He went to work for Western Electric in Albuquerque, N.M., where he worked for one year.
He then moved to Boulder and went to work for the Dow Co. as a chemical operator, where he spent four years. From Boulder, he moved to Denver and began work for Foster ’s Frozen Foods.
He then worked for the Speer Furniture Co. and later worked for the Oscar Mayer Co. in Denver, where he worked for 18 years as a warehouse inventory manager.
From there, Mr. Bashor went to Mobile Pre-Mix Concrete Co., where he spent five years working as a dispatcher.
His last job was with Presbyterian St. Luke’s Hospital in Denver, where he worked as a courier driver for six years, retiring in 1993.
He was a member of the Assembly of God in Spring Valley, Calif., and attended the Assembly of God in Loveland. He was formerly active with the Denver Elks Lodge.
Mr. Bashor loved to sing; he sang in the high school choir and with his church choir.
He also enjoyed fishing and taking trips to the San Diego Zoo and Wild Animal Park.
Survivors include two sons, Jack Bashor and wife Karen of Lakewood and Patrick Bashor and wife Kellie; three daughters, Marie Whitenight and husband Ken of Denver, Susan Fronterotta and husband Adelfio of Gallup, N.M., and Natalie Digor and husband Steve of Westminster; their mother, Mary Joann Bashor of Loveland; brothers Raymond Bashor and wife Reba of Phoenix, Ariz., Vernon Bashor and wife Betty of Amarillo, Texas, and Lee Bashor and wife Elvera of Loveland; sister Olive Stotts of Phoenix; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Elmer, and sister, Helen, both as young children, and a grandchild, Mindy D. Piro in 2002.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Hygiene Cemetery.
Visitation will be Friday from 1 to 7 p.m. at Howe Mortuary in Longmont.
CARLSON:
Gary Scott Carlson, 40, of Johnstown, formerly of Loveland, died Sept. 28, 2002, in an automobile accident near Johnstown.
He was born April 8, 1962, in Princeton, Ill., and spent his early childhood in nearby Rockford, Ill. He moved to Loveland in 1969 with his family. He graduated from Loveland High School and later from Wyoming Technical School in Laramie, Wyo.
He made his living as an auto body repair technician and in recent years operated his own body shop in Johnstown.
He was a devoted Christian and active at Northgate Church on the Rock in Fort Collins. He was involved in the work of Freedom Fellowship, a ministry to jail and prison inmates, ex-inmates and their families. He had recently received clearance to enter state correctional facilities as a volunteer.
He is survived by his wife, Catherine; a son, Bronson; four daughters, Sarah, Calin-dy,cq Lindsey and Brianna; his parents, Everett and Millie Carlson of Loveland; a brother, James and wife Mary of Fort Collins; one granddaughter; three nieces and two nephews.
Viewing will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Northern Colorado Crematory, Seventh Avenue and Eighth Street in Greeley.
A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Northgate Church on the Rock, 608 E. Drake Road in Fort Collins. The Rev. David Huntwork will officiate.
Cremation will be conducted.
Burial of cremains will be in Resthaven Memory Gardens, U.S. 287, north of Loveland.

DUNN:
Terry Dunn of Loveland. Private family services will be held. Cremation will be conducted.
Terry Dunn, 57, of Loveland died Sept. 26, 2002, at McKee Medical Center in Loveland.
He was born Aug. 8, 1945, in Falls City, Neb., to Guy W. Dunn Sr. and Beulah Baumbgartner Dunn.
He married Linda Sturdivant on Aug. 26, 1963, in Gering, Neb. They have lived in Loveland since 1999.
Mr. Dunn worked for Fort Collins Light and Power for eight years and was a boilermaker for five years with Conalco.
He was member of the Boilermakers Union and Masonic Lodge 49 in Guernsey, Wyo. He appreciated nature, western music - especially George Jones - and loved to dance.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Dunn of Loveland; a son, Robert Dunn of Tigard, Ore.; a daughter, Linda Pokorski of Alliance, Neb.; a brother, Dale Dunn of Fort Collins; a sister, Lavern Feek of Kansas City, Kan.; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
He was preceeded in death by brothers Guy Dunn, Robert Feek and Herbert Feek; and sisters Mickey Steigleder and Dolly Catchall.
A private family memorial service will be held. Cremation services were arranged through Allnutt Funeral Service in Loveland.
HAYWARD:
Harry W. Hayward of Loveland. Husband of Alice (Prang) Hayward. Funeral services 2 p.m. Monday, Sept. 30, at the First United Methodist Church. Harry Walter Hayward, 76, of Loveland died Sept. 26, 2002, at McKee Medical Center in Loveland.
He was born May 2, 1926, in Valentine, Neb., to Walter and Ines Hayward. Mr. Hayward began his life in a sod house and grew up on the family ranch in South Dakota. He married Alice Marie Prang on Easter Sunday, March 25, 1951, in Valentine.
He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. Upon his discharge, he attended the University of Nebraska and received his degree in civil engineering. While attending the University of Nebraska, Mr. Hayward was a charter member of the Delta Chi fraternity.
He was a licensed professional engineer in Michigan, Nebraska and Colorado, as well as a licensed land surveyor. He worked for Martin Marietta in Baltimore, Md., was a general contractor in Valentine, Neb., and worked for Allied Supermarkets in Livonia, Mich., before moving his family to Colorado in 1970.
Once in Colorado, Mr. Hayward was in a partnership with a precast concrete company until 1975, when he founded Colorado Precast Concrete in Loveland. He raised all of his children to be involved in the family business.
Mr. Hayward was involved in various concrete affiliated associations, including American Concrete Institute (ACI), American Society for Testing Materials (ASTM), and the National Precast Concrete Association (NPCA). In 1995, he served as chairman of the board for NPCA and in 1998 received the Robert E. Yoakum Award, the highest honor that the NPCA can bestow upon a member. He served on numerous committees during his tenure with NPCA. He and his wife, Alice, attended annual meetings for the NPCA throughout the United States and Canada as well as international meetings in Europe.
Mr. Hayward also was involved in the Loveland Moose Lodge and the Rotary International organization. He served on numerous committees within the Rotary Club. He had a great passion for the value of the Boy Scouts and donated his services continually to this organization.
He enjoyed fishing and hunting, having fished in Alaska and hunted bear in Canada. He and his wife, Alice, loved to travel, and their travels included a cruise around South America, flying over Antarctica, and traveling throughout Europe. He was very close to his grandchildren and thoroughly enjoyed them and attending their activities.
He is survived by his wife, Alice Hayward of Loveland; three sons, K. Scott Hayward and wife Penny of Loveland, Craig Hayward and wife Cindy of Mitchell, Neb., and Bruce Hayward and wife Barbara of Loveland; two daughters, Nancy Carlson and husband Robert of Omaha, Neb., and Cindy Buckardt and husband David of Loveland; a brother, Gary Hayward and wife Sharon of Chinook, Mont.; and 17 grandchildren.
He was proceeded in death by his parents, brother William Gail Hayward and sister Ellen Ruth Eatinger.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 29, at Kibbey-Fishburn Funeral Home.
Memorial services will be 2 p.m. Monday, Sept. 30, at the First United Methodist Church, 533 N. Grant Ave.

Marcia J. Lambrecht, 36, of Loveland died Sept. 29, 2002, at her residence.
She was born April 12, 1966, in Sterling to Francis and Hazel Jackson Lambrecht. She moved to Loveland 18 years ago from Sterling.
She studied accounting at Aims Community College. She worked for five years at a Fort Collins Total convenience store, where she was manager.
Ms. Lambrecht was an avid Denver Broncos fan. She enjoyed being with her family and spoiled her nephews and nieces.
She is survived by daughter Raquel Lambrecht of Loveland; parents Francis and Hazel Lambrecht of Sterling; brothers Michael Lambrecht and wife Mechell of Loveland and Phil Lambrecht and wife Lisa of Thornton; two nephews; two nieces; and numerous uncles and aunts.
Cremation has been conducted.
Memorial services will be 10 a.m. Friday at Kibbey-Fishburn Funeral Chapel.
Private family inurnment will be at Loveland Burial Park Columbarium.

MARTIN:
Donna Mae Martin, 78, of Loveland died Sept. 29, 2002, at McKee Medical Center.
She was born July 6, 1924, in Central City, Neb., to Lawrence E. and Rose Anna Carlson. She married Lawrence “Larry” Wallace Martin on June 27, 1948, in Grand Island, Neb.
Mrs. Martin taught school in Norfolk, Neb. She was a homemaker, and in the late 70s and early 80s was a substitute librarian and teacher’s aide in the Thompson School District. She moved to Loveland in 1970 from Sioux Falls, S.D.
She was a devoted Christian and a member of the First United Methodist Church in Loveland. She taught Sunday school most of her adult life. She was active in the United Methodist Women’s Circles, choir, and was head of the prayer group.
She is survived by son David Martin and wife Kathy of Thornton; daughters Cynthia Knock and husband Terry of Loveland, Margaret Martin of Sioux Falls, and Jane-Melinda Eilertson and husband Jerry of Madison, S.D.; seven grandchildren; sister Marilyn Burns of Wilbraham, Mass.; and two nephews and a niece.
She was preceded in death by her husband Larry Martin on April 16, 2000, and daughter Katherine Martin.
Memorial services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at First United Methodist Church, Sixth and Grant.
Inurnment of cremains will be at a later date in Norfolk.

MCGUIRE:
Benjamin Roy McGuire, 81, of Loveland died Sept. 26, 2002, at his home.
He was born April 3, 1921, in Fort Collins to Fender and Delva McGuire.
He married his high school sweetheart, Dorothy Lee Moore, a year after graduating from Fort Collins High School. They celebrated their 60th anniversary last May.
He served in the U.S. Coast Guard and Navy before being honorably discharged due to his health. He worked on a large cattle ranch in New Mexico for three years and returned to Fort Collins, where he worked for Warren-Bohlender Funeral Home. Later, he worked at Kodak in Windsor for 13 years.
He and his wife have been members of First Baptist Church for more than 60 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, horseback riding, singing, tennis and football.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy McGuire of Loveland; three sons, Joe McGuire of Lancaster, Ky., Ben McGuire of Red Feather Lakes and Carl McGuire of Tenmile, Ore.; a daughter, Connie Reilly of Fort Collins; brother Lee McGuire of California; sister Gertrude Kerbel of Fort Collins; 12 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church, 900 E. Prospect Road, Fort Collins. The Rev. Mark Hanke will officiate. Burial will be at Grandview Cemetery in Fort Collins, with military honors by American Legion George Beach Post No. 4, Disabled American Veterans, Veterans of Foreign Wars and Marine Corps League.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Monday at Bohlender Funeral Chapel. Contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church Memorial Fund.

Gwen Morgan, 85, of Loveland, died Sept. 29, 2002, at McKee Medical Center in Loveland.
She was born Aug. 11, 1917, in Sheridan County, Kan., to Samuel M. and Gladys V. Hockett Pickett. She married Wilbur E. Morgan on July 1, 1934, in Hoxie, Kan. He preceded her in death on Feb. 14, 1989.
She moved to Loveland in 1957 from Hoxie.
She was an active member of the Trinity United Methodist Church in Loveland, the Golden Age Club, and a quilting club. She was a member of the Mary and Martha Club at the First Presbyterian Church in Hoxie.
She enjoyed playing the piano and was devoted to her family and her faith.
Mrs. Morgan is survived by two sons, Richard Morgan and Allin Morgan and wife Diana, all of Loveland; a daughter, Phyllis McKeown and husband Dick of Fort Collins; a brother, Jim Pickett and wife Elsie of Overland Park, Kan.; 11 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by three brothers.
Viewing will at the Kibbey-Fishburn Funeral Home 1-7 p.m. Wednesday, with family present from 5-7 p.m., and at the church Thursday prior to services.
Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at the Trinity United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Dave Lillie officiating.
