WILSON:
Margaret A. Wilson, 88, of Menlo Park, Calif., and formerly of Loveland, died May 20, 2003, in Menlo Park.
She was married 67 years to Paul F. Wilson, a graduate of Loveland High School. When Mr. Wilson entered the Army before World War II, she and her three sons lived in Loveland for three years to be near his parents.
Over the next 30 years, the family traveled all over the United States and Europe as he changed duty stations and fought in World War II and the Korean War.
Mrs. Wilson was an accomplished horsewoman and kept two horses in a large back yard for several years. She sailed a small boat around the mouth of the James River. She was a traffic counter with her grandchildren during several years when she and her husband studied the traffic flow of Menlo Park. They helped the city establish many of the elements of traffic in Menlo Park.
In her later years she kept active swimming, walking and attending dance classes in her 70s and early 80s.
She and her husband established a strong tradition in education. She received a bachelor’s degree from Colorado State University, and her sons all earned doctorates. Her grandchildren continue the tradition.
She is survived by three sons, Dennis Wilson of Palo Alto, Calif., Terry Wilson of Paonia, and Mike Wilson of Oak Ridge, Tenn.; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband in June 2002.

BASTIAN:
Wendell “Corky” Bastian, 73, of Prescott, Ariz., and formerly of Loveland, died Aug. 7, 2003, in Prescott.
He was born May 30, 1930, in Canton, Ohio.
He served in the U.S. Marines, and retired from IBM after 33 years of service.
He volunteered his time for many causes, including Habitat for Humanity in Loveland, Pippin Museum in Prescott, and he held various positions at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church in Prescott.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Jean C. Bastian; sons Craig Bastian of Loveland, Mark Bastian of Lake Havasu, Ariz., and Kirk Bastian of Flagstaff, Ariz.; and their families.
Services will be held at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church in Prescott at 11 a.m. Wednesday.
Memorials are to Hospice Care.

Bill N. Bench, 85, of Loveland died Aug. 6, 2003, at McKee Medical Center Hospice Care Center.
He was born Aug. 31, 1917, in Seward County, Neb., to Francis M. Bench and Merna M. Nelson Bench. He graduated from Clarinda High School, Clarinda, Iowa, and attended Clarinda Community College.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
He married Naomi Maeder on Aug. 22, 1964, in Atlantic, Iowa.
Mr. Bench started as a substitute letter carrier and worked his way up over 37 years to postmaster for the U.S. Postal Service in Clarinda.
He moved to Colorado City in 1973, where he worked as a parts buyer for the maintenance department for School District No. 7 for 11 years. In 1985 he moved to Loveland, and he worked for about four years at Super Vac Manufacturing.
He was a member of Mountain View Presbyterian Church, where he served as a deacon. He was also a member of Loveland Elks Lodge No. 1051 B.P.O.E. and served as a trustee.
He was an avid sports fan and participant. He was a member of the Clarinda Athletics Baseball Hall of Fame, and he was co-founder, coach and manager of the Clarinda semi-pro baseball team. He also taught ballroom dancing before moving to Colorado.
He is survived by his wife, Naomi Bench of Loveland; son Allan Bill Bench and wife Marla of Vancouver, Wash.; daughter Barbara Hale and husband Jim of Clarinda; stepson Kenneth Chandler and wife Rita of Loveland; stepdaughters Elizabeth Prather and husband Gene of Loveland and Marilyn Grivy of Glenwood Springs; 13 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and brother Frank “Bud” Bench of Stanford, Wash.
Cremation has been conducted. Memorial services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Mountain View Presbyterian Church, the Rev. Gary J. LeTourneau officiating.

Evelyn May Blank, 76, of Loveland, died Aug. 6, 2003, at her home in Loveland.
She was born May 13, 1927, in Cheyenne Wells, to George W. and Hulda Eikenhorst Baumbach. She graduated from West High School in Denver. She married Robert Dean Blank on Aug. 18, 1945, in Denver. She was a homemaker.
She was a former resident of Denver and had lived in Loveland since 1995.
She attended a nondenominational church in Loveland. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, cooking and current events. She was an avid reader.
She is survived by her husband, Robert D. Blank of Loveland; two daughters, Chere Spath of Loveland, and Debra Laws and husband Ron of Potter, Neb.; three brothers, Alvin Baumbach and wife Lucille of Denver, George Baumbach and wife Ginger of Castle Rock, and Chuck Baumbach and wife Marge of Greeley; a sister, Helene Grater and husband Howard of Denver; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one brother and one sister.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. today at Allnutt Funeral Service Hunter Chapel.

BROWN:
Wilma Carolyn Brown, 86, of Hollister, Calif., formerly of Loveland, died Aug. 7, 2003, at Hazel Hawkins Memorial Hospital in Hollister.
She was born July 30, 1917, in Longmont. She attended schools and university in Colorado and received her teaching credentials in Colorado. She taught at schools in Fruita and Fort Morgan. She also was a homemaker.
She married Earl Walter Brown. They were married more than 50 years when he preceded her in death in 1998.
She was a longtime resident of Colorado. The Brown side of her family were early settlers in Colorado after the Civil War. She lived in Loveland from 1939 to 1959. She moved to Hollister two years ago.
She was a member of the Loveland Moose Lodge and bridge clubs. She enjoyed oil painting and collecting antiques.
She is survived by three sons, Dale L. Brown and wife Jean of Hollister, Darryll Brown and wife Deanna of Nevada, and Dean Brown and wife Isabelle of Lakeport, Calif.; a daughter, Linda Summa and husband Woodrow of Fresno, Calif.; 12 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews in Loveland and Longmont.
Arrangements are through Grunnagle-Ament-Nelson Funeral Home in Hollister.
Cremation will be conducted with private inurnment in Colorado.

Elizabeth Ann “Betty” Fallon, 73, of Loveland, died Aug. 7, 2003, at Poudre Valley Hospital in Fort Collins.
She was born July 29, 1930, in Jerome, Ariz., to Tolbert Grover Reavis and Ailsa Jane Spires.
She married Leo J. Fallon on Dec. 16, 1955, in Morenci, Ariz.
She was a registered nurse and had worked for Denver hospitals.
She moved from Golden to Loveland in August 1993. She was a member of the Loveland Garden Club, Rose Society and the Iris/Day Lily Society.
She was an avid reader, enjoyed gardening, flower arranging, arts and crafts, candy making, cooking and spending time with friends and family.
Survivors include her husband, Leo J. Fallon of Loveland; three daughters, Cathleen Kernen and husband Jay of Windsor, Rebecca Gamble and husband Lawrence Hays of Estes Park and Nancy Blazek and husband Gerold of Albuquerque, N.M.; and eight grandchildren.
Cremation has been conducted. Private family services will be held.
Interment will be in Loveland Burial Park.

HALL:
Jeffrey Alan Hall, 41, of Eaton, entered the Gates of Heaven on Sunday, Aug. 3, 2003. His sudden departure was unexpected.
Services will be conducted 10:30 a.m. today, Friday, Aug. 8, 2003, at Allnutt Funeral Chapel. Deacon John McKeown, of St. John the Evangelist Church of Loveland, will officiate. Immediately following the service, a short reception will be held at the chapel. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens.
Jeff Hall was born Dec. 15, 1961, in Louisville, Ky., to Phillip C. Hall Sr. and Ruby L. Hall. His family moved to Metuchen, N.J., in August 1962, where his social skills became evident. His Saturday morning visits at 6:30 a.m. to the neighbors across the street began at 2. He lived in Fort Collins from 1966 to 2001. His parents preceded him in death.
In November 2000, Jeff met the love of his life, Jennifer K. Ochwat. Jennifer and Jeff were married on Sept. 26, 2001. They lived in Fort Collins prior to moving to Eaton in December 2001. With much love, excitement and joy they anticipated together the arrival of their first child, Malia J. Ruby Hall, due in October.
He graduated from Rocky Mountain High School in Fort Collins in 1980. During 1980 and 1981, Jeff attended Aims Community College in Greeley. Never one to stop learning, he enrolled at Colorado State University in Fort Collins in 1991, and obtained his bachelor’s degree from the College of Business as a finance major on Dec. 17, 1994. He worked for LaFarge Corp. as an aggregate sales agent.
Surviving Jeff are his wife, Jennifer and their “bundle of joy,” arriving in October. Also surviving are three brothers, Joe Hall and Martin Hall, both of Fort Collins, and Phillip Hall of Denver; one sister, Emily Hall of Fort Collins. In addition, many other family members and friends too numerous to name.
In lieu of flowers, the “Jeff Hall Memorial Fund for Malia J. Ruby Hall” has been established. Contributions can be made in care of Allnutt Funeral Services, 650 Drake Road, Fort Collins, 80526.

KESLER:
JoAnn Marie (Switzer) Kesler, 67, of Fort Collins died Aug. 3, 2003, after a long and debilitating illness.
With her at the time of death were her husband of 46 years, Kelvin F. Kesler, M.D., and loving family members.
She was born Dec. 27, 1934, in Cheyenne Wells, Colo., to George and Orma Switzer. As a young woman, she took an early interest in the service professions and became a registered nurse. Pediatric nursing was her favorite area of care.
She married Kelvin (Kelly) Kesler in 1957 and supported him throughout medical school, a Navy career and an OB/Gyn practice since coming to Fort Collins in 1969.
JoAnn was deeply committed to sustaining a high quality of family life. Her primary dedication was to the care of her three children. She also played a pivotal role in the Young Mothers Group at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, providing support and counsel to many.
She was a member of St. Luke’s congregation for 33 years, an active volunteer with the vestry and Christian education. In 1987 she was honored by Young Mothers Inc., who named her “Colorado Mother of the Year.” She subsequently became runner-up for the national title. She was also a member of PEO, FM chapter.
Aside from her family duties, she had a fondness for white standard poodles and raised them for many years. She also had a weakness for Siamese and Ragdoll kittens, which were a comfort to her in her final years.
She is survived by sons Thomas Kesler and wife Ronda and their children Benjamin, Abby, Joey and Sam of Everett, Wash., and Jeffrey Kesler and wife Karen and their children Carrie Ann and Ryan of Kalamazoo, Mich.; daughter Kelley Jo Kesler of Fort Collins; brother Dennis Switzer of Fort Collins; and sister Karen Mill of Denver.
A celebration of life service will be held 3 p.m. Friday at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, with a reception to follow.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the Poudre Valley Hospital Foundation earmarked for the Intensive Care Unit.

KNOX:
Jeannie Marie Knox, 58, of Denver and formerly of Loveland, died July 29, 2003, of natural causes at her home in Denver.
She was born June 9, 1945, in Kansas City, Kan., to Edgar H. and Selma Pingetzer Thomas. She graduated from McCook High School in McCook, Neb., in 1963. She moved to Lincoln, Neb., after graduation.
She married Robert Knox on Dec. 10, 1976, in Lincoln. They later relocated to Loveland.
Mrs. Knox worked at Hewlett Packard in Loveland and raised her son as a single parent. She later moved to Denver to work at Samsonite.
She was adventurous and had a full life. She enjoyed watching her grandson grow and change.
At an early age she had a baby daughter whom she gave up for adoption. In 2000, she was reunited with her daughter, Stacey, and her family, which gave her great pleasure and peace in her life.
She is survived by her son, Jason Knox and wife Kelly and their son, Clayton, of Greeley; daughter Stacey Troutman and husband Brian and children of Stromsburg, Neb.; sister Laura Walden and husband Eldon of Bird City, Kan.; and many nephews and nieces.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Selma Thomas; a sister, Shirley Ann Thomas; and brother Eddie Howard Thomas.
Cremation was conducted.

Germaine R. Lewis, 88, of Loveland died Aug. 8, 2003, at North Shore Manor in Loveland.
She was born Dec. 7, 1914, in Louisville to Marie Bunolin and Cyril Beauprez.
She married Kenneth D. Lewis on Nov. 28, 1933, in South Boulder. He preceded her in death on Feb. 27, 2003.
She graduated from Louisville High School.
She was a homemaker and worked on the farm with her husband for most of her life.
She was a lifelong member of Sacred Heart of Mary Catholic Church in South Boulder. She also was a member of the altar and rosary society.
She enjoyed knitting, crocheting and gardening.
She moved to Loveland in 1992 from Lafayette, where she had lived since 1976. Before that, she lived in South Boulder all her life.
She is survived by sons, Robert Lewis and wife Barbara of Loveland, Don Lewis of Lingle, Wyo., Jack Lewis and wife Judy of Walden, and Tom Lewis and wife Jodell of Berthoud; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Sacred Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 6739 S. Boulder Road in Boulder.
Recitation of the rosary will be 7 p.m. Tuesday at Allnutt Funeral Service/Hunter Chapel, 2100 N. Lincoln Ave. in Loveland.
