SHARP:
Murry Sharp of Loveland. Husband of Rose Sharp. Cremation has been conducted. Graveside service 10 a.m. Thursday, June 24 at Loveland Burial Park Columbarium, Pastor Dennis Anderson officiating. Memorial contributions to the American Diabetes Association in care of Kibbey-Fishburn Funeral Home.
Murry D. Sharp, 71, of Loveland died June 21, 2004, at McKee Medical Center Hospice Care Center in Loveland.
He was born Sept. 12, 1932, in Brewster, Kan., to Harrison Hutton Sharp and Jennie Maude Hill Sharp. The family moved to Loveland in 1934.
He married Rose M. Crockett on Sept. 2, 1960, in Loveland.
Mr. Sharp worked for Great Western Sugar Co. and Amalgamated Sugar Co. for 40 years as a foreman. He also managed a cherry orchard in Loveland and helped plaster many houses in Loveland.
He enjoyed woodworking, the mountains, walking, biking, country drives, watching construction projects and playing guitar in his family band, which played in nightclubs and on the Longmont radio station. He also raced Corvettes in the late ’50s and early ’60s in Castle Rock, Colo.
He is survived by his wife, Rose Sharp of Loveland; sons James Sharp and wife Rebecca and Kevin Murry Sharp, all of Loveland; daughters Jennie Sandras and husband Greg of Thornton and Amy Christine Koppenhauer and husband Mark of Loveland; and grandchildren Courtney Sharp and Derek Sharp of Loveland, Tiffany Mae Sharp, Christopher William Sharp and Sean Anthony Sharp of Fort Col-lins, and Trystan Sandras of Thornton.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harrison and Jennie Sharp, seven brothers and three sisters.
Cremation has been conducted. Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Loveland Burial Park Col-umbarium, with the Rev. Dennis Anderson of Crossroads Covenant Church officiating.
Memorial contributions can be made to the American Diabetes Association in care of Kibbey-Fishburn Funeral Home, 1102 N. Lincoln Ave., Loveland, 80537.

VANDERWEGE:
Louise Elizabeth VanDerWege, 95, of Brighton, formerly of Loveland. Mother of Charles VanDerWege, Carol Hanne, Cleo Linstrom, Carla Albert. Memorial service 11 a.m., Wednesday, June 23 at Maranatha Community Church. Interment service at Resthaven Memory Gardens.
Louise Elizabeth VanDerWege, 95, of Loveland died June 17, 2004.
She was born Oct. 17, 1908, in Athol, Kan., to John and Ottillie Mann Badenhoop. She was baptized at Kensington, Kan., on Nov. 23, 1908, and received confirmation Aug. 19, 1923.
She received her early education in a country school near her home. She graduated from Athol High School in 1926. After high school, she passed the examination to qualify for a teachers’ certificate and taught five years in public schools in Kansas. She also taught in parochial schools in Brighton and Hudson.
She married Oliver VanDerWege on May 3, 1931, in Hays, Kan. They had four children: three daughters and one son. They were married 68 years and spent 27 years on a farm near Brighton. They retired in Loveland in 1972.
She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Loveland.
She is survived by a son, Charles and wife Toni of San Jose, Calif.; three daughters, Carol Hanne and husband Don of Morgan Hill, Calif., Cleo Linstrom and husband Harry of Northglenn, and Carla Albert and husband Orlie of San Jose; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by six brothers and four sisters.
A graveside funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 23, at Resthaven Memory Gardens, 100 E. County Road 30, Fort Collins.
Arrangements are being handled by Resthaven Funeral Home, 667-0202.

WACKER:
Wilma Lorraine Wacker, 81, of Denver, formerly of Loveland, died June 13, 2004, at Presbyterian St. Luke’s Hospital in Denver.
She was born Jan. 9, 1923, in Tribune, Kan., to Bertrand and Mildred Hougland. She moved to Loveland in 1935. She and her husband, James E. Wacker, both graduated from Loveland High School in 1940.
They moved to Denver in 1941, where they lived for more than 60 years. She retired from Fireman’s Fund Insurance Co.
She was a long-standing member of Park Hill United Methodist Church, assisting in the church library and serving on various committees. She was co-founder of St. Joseph Hospital’s CanSurmount and volunteered with Meals on Wheels.
She is survived by her husband of nearly 64 years, James E. Wacker; a son, David P. Wacker and wife Katherine of Iowa City, Iowa; a daughter, Sharon L. Voightmann and husband George of Greeley; one grandchild and two great-grandchildren.
Private services are pending.
Donations can be made to the Park Hill Methodist Choir Fund, 5209 Montview Blvd., Denver, 80207.
All-States Cremation of Aurora is in charge of arrangements.

BUEHLER:
Edwin R. Buehler of Berthoud. Funeral services 1 p.m. Tuesday, June 29, Berthoud United Methodist Church. Interment Greenlawn Cemetery, Berthoud. Viewing will be prior to the services at the church. Memorials to American Heart Fund in care of the Viegut Funeral Home.
Edwin R. Buehler, 78, of Berthoud died June 23, 2004, at his home.
He was born Jan. 17, 1926, in Berthoud to Wilbur and Marie Fahrenbruck Buehler. He attended Berthoud schools and married Lois M. Cook on Jan. 18, 1945, in Berthoud.
Mr. Buehler was a farmer and dairyman for many years in the Berthoud area. He lived all his life in Berthoud.
He enjoyed camping, hunting, telling stories and discussing farm life and having his family around.
He attended Berthoud United Methodist Church.
He is survived by a son, David Buehler and wife Elizabeth of Whitewater, Colo.; two daughters, Linda Sizemore and husband Russell of Fort Collins and Mary Ann Woolridge and husband Bill of Loveland; five grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; a brother, Robert Buehler and wife Bev of Loveland; and a sister, Rosie Kite of Loveland.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lois M. Buehler, in October 2003; a brother, Floyd Buehler; and a sister, Nadine Moore.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Berthoud United Methodist Church, with the Revs. Raymond Scott and Stephanie Munoz officiating. Viewing will take place before services at the church.
Burial will be at Greenlawn Cemetery in Berthoud.
Memorial contributions can be made to the American Heart Fund in care of the Viegut Funeral Home.

CALDWELL:
Vincent J. Caldwell of Loveland. Funeral service 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 30, at Kibbey-Fishburn Funeral Chapel, with Deacon John McKeown, celebrant. Interment Fort Logan National Cemetery, 1:30 p.m., with full military honors. Memorial contributions to St. John’s Catholic Church New Growth Fund in care of Kibbey-Fishburn Funeral Home.
Vincent J. Caldwell, 84, of Loveland died June 24, 2004, at his home.
He was born Jan. 5, 1920, in Paisley, Scotland, to Hugh and Mary Carlin Caldwell. He came to America from Scotland with his family when he was 5 years old, and they settled in Newark, N.J. He attended elementary and high school in Newark, and he graduated from high school in 1938.
He married Margaret Jean O’Meara on Oct. 12, 1936, in Rapid City, S.D. She preceded him in death.
Mr. Caldwell entered the U.S. Army in 1942 and was a technical instructor. He was discharged in No-vember 1945.
He was employed in Clark, N.J., for RCA International Corp. as a contract administrator for 20 years, from 1947 to 1967, when he retired. Later, he was employed as a sheriff for Union County, N.J., from 1967 to 1975.
Because of Margaret’s health, they relocated to Hemet, Calif. He relocated to Loveland, Colo., in February 2001 to be closer to his son and his family.
Mr. Caldwell was a member of Fort Collins Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 1781. He belonged to St. John’s Catholic Church in Loveland for the past three years.
He loved sports, both professional and collegiate - especially Notre Dame. He will be sorely missed by the employees of Bank One, Walgreens and the 29th Street King Soopers store.
Mr. Caldwell is survived by a son, Robert Caldwell and wife Linda of Loveland; a son-in-law, Rick Lang of Hemet; a sister, Phoebe Ferguson of Bridgewater, N.J.; four grandsons, Brent Caldwell and wife Kristie of Big Horn, Wyo., Kevin Caldwell of Loveland, Matthew Lang of Hemet, and Chris-topher Lang of Hemet; and one great-grandson, Keegan Caldwell of Big Horn.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Caldwell, on April 13, 1933, in Hemet; his daughter, Janice Lang; four brothers; and seven sisters.
The funeral service will be at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 30, at Kibbey-Fishburn Funeral Chapel, with Deacon John McKeown of St. John’s Catholic Church, celebrant.
Burial with full military honors will start at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver.
Memorial contributions can be made to the St. John’s Catholic Church New Growth Fund in care of Kibbey-Fishburn Funeral Home and Crematory, 1102 N. Lincoln Ave., Loveland, Colo. 80537.

CHAPPELL:
Mary Nanne Chappell, 83, of Loveland, died June 14, 2004, at her home.
Cremation was conducted.
Private memorial services were held June 16, 2004, at Viegut Funeral Home. The Rev. John Turnage, of the First Baptist Church, officiated.
She was born March 17, 1921, in Elida, N.M., to Oliver D. and Clara A. Radcliffe Lambirth. She graduated from Elida High School and received an associate’s degree from Porales Junior College. She graduated from Bethany College in Lindsborg, Kan., with a bachelor’s degree in English and music (voice, piano and cello.) She taught music and English during World War II.
She married Charles Chappell on Dec. 12, 1945.
She moved to the Big Thompson Canyon in 1954 from the New Mexico area. She lived there for 50 years.
She and her husband owned and managed the Montrose Hotel, store and gas station in the canyon until the flood in 1976.
She started playing the piano at the age of 5 in the Baptist Church. She played and sang in the Methodist Church while her husband was the minister in the Methodist faith in Nebraska.
The Chappell family joined the Baptist Church in 1954. She was a strong Christian all of her life.
She enjoyed playing the piano, singing, gardening, roses, reading, watching birds and was an excellent cook. She enjoyed being with her family.
She is survived by her husband of 581/2 years, Charles Chappell of Loveland; three daughters, Elizabeth Anne Chappell-Moffett of Pueblo West, Clara Louise Martin of Fort Collins, and Nanci Marie Tobin of Loveland; three grandchildren.
Contributions may be made to the Mary N. Chappell Memorial Fund in care of Clara Martin, 2236 Clydesdale, Fort Collins, CO 80526.
Viegut Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

CHITWOOD:
Dorothy Chitwood of Loveland. Memorial services 11 a.m. Saturday, June 26, at the Buckhorn Presbyterian Church. Cremation has taken place.
Dorothy Louise Kimzey Chitwood, 77, of Loveland died June 13, 2004, at her home.
She was born Aug. 20, 1926, in Torrington, Wyo., to Herschal and Gladys (Eaton) Kimzey. She grew up on the Kimzey farm near Veteran, Wyo., and graduated from Veteran High School in 1945. She attended Central Business College in Denver.
While working in Denver she met and married Gene Chitwood in January 1947. The couple lived in Kersey, Evans, Masonville and Loveland.
Mrs. Chitwood played the violin in her youth.
She was active in the 4-H program and was involved in community and school organizations. She spent many hours crocheting afghans, toys and other items.
For many years she was Sunday school superintendent at the Buckhorn Presbyterian Church and counselor and staff member at Highlands Camp. She volunteered for years as an assistant teacher at the Loveland Head Start. She loved plants and seemed to have a green thumb.
She was a member of the Presbyterian Church and was active in the Presbyterian Women’s organization. She enjoyed teaching Bible classes.
She is survived by her husband, Gene; son Glen Chitwood of Fort Collins; daughters Peggy Chitwood of Loveland, Pat and husband Eric Ross of Loveland and Louise and husband Joe Sanford of Denver; brothers Frank Kimzey and wife Ann of Palm Desert, Calif., Ralph Kimzey and wife Mary of Kimball, Neb.; sisters Gertrude and husband Jack Sedman of Torrington and Ruth and husband Ken Payne of Albuquerque, N.M.; and three grandsons.
Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at the Buckhorn Presbyterian Church, the Rev. Jim Vincent officiating. Cremation has taken place and her ashes will be scattered at Highlands Presbyterian Camp, where she enjoyed being the camp cook.
Viegut Funeral Home handled the cremation and other arrangements.

FRESQUEZ:
Alfred Fresquez of Loveland. Recitation of the Rosary 7 p.m. today at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 30 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Interment Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation 3-5 p.m. today at Stoddard Funeral Home. Memorial gifts may be made to the Loveland Cancer Center in care of Stoddard Funeral Home.
Alfred Fresquez, 68, of Loveland went home to the Lord on Friday, June 25, 2004, at Hospice Care Center of Larimer County at McKee Medical Center.
Alfred was born Nov. 18, 1935, in Milliken, Colo., to Juan and Mary Garcia Fresquez. Alfred was raised in Milliken and graduated from Milliken High School in 1954, where he was a Tiger athlete.
He lived in Milliken and Johnstown until 1988, when he and his wife moved to Loveland. Alfred worked at the Great Western Sugar Co. factory in Johns-town in his early employment years. He worked at Hewlett-Packard for 24 years and retired in 1998.
Alfred married Jennie Salazar on July 23, 1956. He and his loving wife were married for 47 years and raised four children.
Alfred played football, basketball and baseball in his youth and was an avid sports fan. His passions were spending time with family and friends; he loved fishing, camping, enjoying the mountains and tying his own fishing flies. He loved sharing his time with his loved ones in teaching them how to fish and play sports.
His passions were a gift that he gave us, and his good will and happy spirit will live on with his family and friends.
Survivors include his wife, Jennie Fresquez of Loveland; sons John Fresquez of Colorado Springs and Dan Fresquez and wife Rita of Evans; daughters Gina Haner and husband David of Loveland and Pat Chacon and husband Tony of Westminster; sisters Lucy Lewis and husband Frank of Platteville, Elsie Chavez of Denver and Mary Solano of Denver; brothers Benny Fresquez of Aurora, Raymond Fresquez and wife Shirley of Denver and Tony Fresquez and wife Debbie of Longmont; and grandchildren John Daniel Fresquez, Andrea Haner, Erica Fresquez, Derek Chacon, Breana Haner, Brett Chacon, Cameron Chacon and Travis Fresquez. He leaves a large, loving extended family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, five siblings and a grandson, Brandon David Haner.
His wife and children invite those who knew and loved Alfred to join them in a celebration of his life and memory.
Recitation of the rosary is 7 p.m. Tuesday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Greeley. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
Interment will be in Sunset Memory Gardens.
Visitation is 3-5 p.m. Tuesday at Stoddard Funeral Home, 3205 W. 28th St., Greeley. Memorials are to the Loveland Cancer Center in care of Stoddard Funeral Home.

HALL:
Billy Lee Hall, 78, of Searcy, Ark., and formerly of Loveland, died June 26, 2004.
He is survived by his wife, Doris Miller of Searcy; daughters Wanda and Donna and their families, all of Loveland; and three sisters, Doris, Norma and Mary.
Services and burial will be today in Searcy.
Arrangements were handled by Powell Funeral Home of Searcy.

HAMILTON:
Nancy Y. Hamilton, 76, loving mother and grandmother, of Rochester, N.Y., and formerly of Loveland, died at home June 25, 2004, under the loving care of her children and grandchildren. Predeceased by her husband, William, of 50 years, a brother, Richard York, and two grandsons, Brian and Jason Hamilton.
She was born Dec. 9, 1927, in Mars Hill, Maine, to Richard F. and Violet V. York.
She graduated from Buckley High School. She received her registered nursing degree in 1944 from Maine General Hospital School of Nursing.
Nancy married William W. Hamilton July 2, 1948, in Bangor, Maine.
She spent her life raising her children and working as a registered nurse in the Rochester, N.Y., and Tucson, Ariz., areas, and retired from McKee Medical Center in Loveland.
She moved to Loveland in 1978.
Sons and daughters-in-law: Daniel and Deb of Mount Vernon, Maine, William Jr. of Macon, Ga., Robert and Joanne, Steven and Nancy, Charles and Marianne of Rochester, and Richard and Kim of Springdale, Ark.; daughters and sons-in-law: Cindy and Dennis Helzer of Eaton, Colo., Michele and Donald Schneider of Webster, N.Y. A sister, Lois West of Harleysville, Pa., survives Nancy. Sister and brother-in-law Ellie and Joe Perseille of Lake Anna, Va. In addition, 30 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren survive her. In lieu of flowers please make donations to a wonderful organization, the Visiting Nurse Hospice of Webster, who were excellent in the assistance in the care of our mother at the end of her life.
