HENDERSON:
Jean Faith Henderson, 73, of Windsor, formerly of Ber-thoud, died Oct. 5, 2004, at North Colorado Medical Center in Greeley.
She was born June 3, 1931, in Everett, Mass., to Walter Emerson Wheeler and Emma Louise (McPherson) Wheeler.
She was a secretary at La Mesa Bank in San Diego, Calif., from 1951 to 1958. She moved to Cheyenne from San Diego and worked at F.E. Warren Air Force Base. She then moved to Laramie, Wyo., and worked as a church secretary and then at the University of Wyoming until her retirement.
She had lived in Windsor since April 2004. Before that, she lived 10 years in Berthoud.
She will be remembered as a devoted member of the Methodist faith who loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, cooking, flowers, the mountains and nature in general.
She is survived by a son, Earl Franklin of Loveland; two daughters, Laurie Cassat of Windsor and Nola Lemons of Virginia; a sister-in-law, Rosemarie Wheeler of Escondido, Calif.; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Walter Wheeler.
Visitation is before the funeral service Friday at Ahlberg Funeral Chapel in Longmont.
The service will be 2 p.m. Friday at Ahlberg Funeral Chapel, with the Rev. Mary Etta Moore of Pierce United Methodist Church officiating.
Burial will be in Foothills Gardens of Memory in Longmont.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society and sent in care of Ahlberg Funeral Chapel, 326 Terry St., Longmont, CO 80501.
HUGHES:
Virginia Hughes of Loveland. Graveside services in East Liverpool, Ohio.
Virginia Hughes, 89, of Loveland died Oct. 6, 2004, at her home.
She was born Aug. 27, 1915, in Steubenville, Ohio, to William M. and Edith McCoy Cain. Virginia graduated from Wellsville High School and played on the women’s basketball team.
She married Andrew Hughes in 1950 in Ohio. He preceded her in death.
She worked for the Hall China Co. in Ohio for many years before moving to Southern California, where she was employed by the Veterans Affairs Administration office for 15 years in Santa Ana.
Virginia was a member of First Presbyterian Church in East Liverpool, Ohio, for many years. She enjoyed her family, reading and playing the piano.
She moved to Loveland in 1998 from East Liverpool.
Virginia is survived by a son, Dr. Andrew Hughes and wife Debi of Loveland; a daughter, Patty Hadley and husband Bob of Coral Gables, Fla.; 10 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew Hughes; a son, Robert Patterson; a daughter, Elizabeth Hughes; a brother, Earl, and a sister, Thelma.
Graveside services will be Monday, Oct. 11, at Columbiana County Memorial Park in East Liverpool. A celebration of Virginia’s life will be held in Loveland at a later date.

Norbert F. Krier, 86, of Loveland died Oct. 5, 2004, at Good Samaritan Village in Loveland.
He was born Feb. 21, 1918, in Tipton, Kan., to Peter and Clara (Konzem) Krier. As an infant he moved with his family to Akron, Colo., where he worked the family farm alongside his nine brothers and sisters until he was called to service in World War II. During the war he served as a member of the 560th Ordnance Tank Maintenance Company.
He married Elva M. Loyd in Akron on Oct. 27, 1950. They farmed until they moved to Loveland in 1968, where Mr. Krier owned and operated a lawn mower repair business for many years.
He will be fondly remembered by a very large family and many friends for his love of the earth and harvesting the fruits of his labor. He loved fishing, tinkering in his shop and canning everything he grew.
He was a member of St. John’s Catholic Church in Loveland.
He is survived by a daughter, Diane Krier-Lindsey and husband Bill of Buena Vista, Colo.; grandchildren James Patrick Volpe and Victoriano and Aubrey Newman; great-grandsons Tyler and Josh Volpe; two brothers, Kenneth Krier and wife Betty and Vern Krier and wife Waynette; and four sisters, Evelyn Mehring, Jean Duffy, Geraldine Gebauer and husband Carl, and Janice Craven and husband Joe.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Elva M. Krier, who died April 11, 1990; his son, Danny Ray Krier; brothers Roland and Everett Krier; and sister Dorothy Fettus.
Viewing will be noon to 7 p.m. today at Kibbey-Fishburn Funeral Chapel.
Recitation of the rosary will be at 12:30 p.m. Friday at St. John’s Catholic Church, followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 1 p.m., with the Rev. Joseph Hartmann celebrant.
Burial will be at Resthaven Memory Gardens north of Loveland. Full military honors will be conducted by the Associated Veterans of Loveland.

Rachel Lupe Estrada-Medina, 53, of Loveland died Oct. 4, 2004, at her home.
She was born Feb. 10, 1951, in Littlefield, Texas, to Pedosiso Estrada and Antonia Valdez-
Urias. She was a homemaker and had moved to Loveland from Longmont in 2002.
She was raised in the Catholic faith.
She is survived by two sons, Gilbert Medina of Colorado and Santos Medina Jr. and wife Jill of Greeley; two daughters, Nancy Medina and husband Rick Garza and Patricia Estrada-Medina and husband Alfredo Perez, all of Loveland; ex-husband, Santos Medina Sr. of Greeley; four brothers, Domingo Vasquez and Pedro Estrada of Brownfield, Texas, Benito Cardon of Greeley, and Roy Urias of Utah; two sisters, Martina Moreno of Corpus Christi, Texas, and Oralia Hernandez of Austin, Texas; eight grandchildren; and several nephews and nieces.
Memorial services will be 10 a.m. Friday at St. John’s Catholic Church, the Rev. Joseph Hartmann officiating. Cremation has occurred.

Dorsey “Earl” Overturf, 51, of Loveland died Oct. 7, 2004, at his home.
He was born April 19, 1953, in Santa Rosa, Calif., to Donald and Betty Overturf. He graduated from Central High School in Denver. He was a Vietnam veteran, having served in the U.S. Navy.
He married Cathy Simpson on Feb. 13, 1999, in Longmont.
Mr. Overturf owned and operated the Rocky Mountain Performance Automotive shop in Longmont for 15 years. He moved to Loveland in 2002.
He loved automobile work and racing and raced in the SCCA category. He worked for the Robert Penske racing team as a tire buster and built and raced hot rods. He loved to raise chows.
He is survived by his wife, Cathy Overturf of Loveland; two sons, Kevin McGonigal of Denver and Ryan McGonigal of Longmont; a daughter, Diana McGonigal of Longmont; his parents, Donald Overturf of Texas and Betty Talley of Arizona; three brothers, Joseph Talley of Las Vegas, Nev., Donald Overturf of Houston, Texas, and Scott Overturf of Oklahoma City, Okla.; and two sisters, Catherine Kaiser of California and Denisa Little of Arizona.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Tim Overturf.
Memorial services will be 6 p.m. Tuesday at Viegut Funeral Home.

WIESE:
Sharon Wiese, 65, of Estes Park, died Oct. 2, 2004, at McKee Medical Center in Loveland.
She was born Sept. 21, 1939, in Geneva, Neb., to Alvin and Clara Ann (Jansen) Biester. She was raised on a farm in Geneva and graduated from Geneva High School. She attended Reese’s School of Cosmetology in Lincoln, Neb., then worked as a beautician as well as an instructor. On Oct. 7, 1962, she married Leon Wiese at Grace Lutheran Church in Geneva.
The couple lived in Idaho Falls, Idaho, for three years, Bountiful, Utah, for nine years, Overland Park, Kan., for three years, and Bartlesville, Okla., for 11 years. During 1989 and 1990, they joined with Laborers For Christ, traveling through several states in their recreational vehicle helping to build churches. In 1990, they moved to Estes Park and purchased The Estes Park Campground, which they operated until 2001.
She was a member of Mount Calvary Lutheran Church in Estes Park, Lutheran Women’s Missionary League, and The Estes Park Christian Women’s Club.
She was a Sunday school teacher, and had been active in 4-H and Brownies. Her hobbies included bowling, baking, photography, camping, vacationing with family, making quilts, and furniture refinishing.
She is survived by her husband, Leon of Estes Park; a son, Jeff and wife Kerrie of Beavercreek, Ohio; a daughter, Julie Wiese of Colorado Springs; a brother, Larry Biester of Geneva; two sisters, Anita Williams of Lincoln, and Patti Kirkwood of Elbert, Colo.; a brother-in-law, Tom Chapman of Lincoln; three grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister JoAnn Chapman and premature twin boys.
A funeral will be held 3 p.m. today, Wednesday, at Mount Calvary Lutheran Church, 950 S. St. Vrain Ave., Estes Park.
Visitation was held at Allnutt Funeral Chapel.
Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Friday at the Geneva Cemetery in Nebraska.
Visitation will take place at Farmer and Sons Funeral Home in Geneva 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday and 10 a.m. to noon Friday.

Charlotte G. Augustine, 82, of Loveland died Oct. 24, 2004, at McKee Medical Center.
She was born Feb. 2, 1922, in Oconto, Wis., to Victor Belongia and Elizabeth Novak. She married Raymond James Augustine on March 15, 1945, in Milwaukee, Wis. He died Sept. 1, 1995.
Mrs. Augustine was a homemaker. She moved to Loveland in 1956.
She enjoyed camping, fishing, rides in the mountains and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by sons Robert V. Augustine and wife Janice of Azalea, Ore., James R. Augustine and wife Becky of Loveland, and David A. Augustine of Loveland; daughters Jane M. Girard and husband Joseph of Joliet, Mont., and Nancy Chacon and husband Aaron of Loveland; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; brother Ralph Belongia; and sister Pearl Meisner.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond J. Augustine; two brothers; and a granddaughter, Anne Katherine Girard.
Cremation has been conducted. No further services are scheduled.

BAILEY:

Lillie Olsen Bailey, 82, of Loveland died Oct. 22, 2004, at Hospice Care Center at Mc-Kee Medical Center.
She was born April 28, 1922, in Denver to Carl and Marie Jorgensen Olsen.
She graduated from Manuel High School in Denver and attended one year at Denver University.
She married Richard “Dick” Bailey on June 23, 1945, in Denver. He preceded her in death.
Mrs. Bailey was a homemaker and co-owned the Carnation Greenhouse in Arvada for many years.
She had lived in Arvada, Lafayette, Fort Collins and Loveland.
Mrs. Bailey was a charter member of the King of Glory Lutheran churches in Arvada and Loveland, and she was faithful in her church community.
She loved canning, sewing, cooking, flower designing and was an artist. She was an exceptionally great wife, mother and grandmother and a professional lady.
She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Richard “Dick” Bailey of Loveland; by two sons, Dick Bailey and wife Karin of Golden, and Tom Bailey of Casper, Wyo.; three daughters, Carol Archer and husband Emory of Edmond, Okla., Carmen “Peggy” Haram and husband Arne of Seattle, and Lauren “Shari” Benzel and husband Jack of Loveland; four sisters, Ella Simpson of Long Beach, Calif., Margaret Morganfield of Lakewood, Esther Sellers of
Golden and Evelyn Loars of Denver; 12 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dick Bailey; a daughter, Patricia Bailey; a brother, Sonny Olsen; and a great grandchild.
Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Loveland Good Samaritan Village Spiritual Life Center, with the Rev. George Hubert officiating.
Inurnment will be held at the Green Mountain Cemetery in Boulder.

D’IPPOLITO:
Leif D’Ippolito, 6 years old, of Loveland, died Tuesday night in an auto accident. Funeral service 10 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 26, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 3333 Duffield Ave., Loveland. Interment Loveland Burial Park.
Leif D’Ippolito, 6, died Tuesday, Oct. 19, 2004, at The Children’s Hospital after a fatal car accident.
Leif attended Monroe Elementary last year for kindergarten and recently transferred to Edmondson as a first grader.
He will be fondly remembered for his contagious smile he had for everyone he met.
Leif enjoyed soccer, swimming and playing with his friends and cousins. His favorite hobby was collecting trading cards.
Leif is survived by his mother, Deborah D’Ippolito; his father, Eric Bupp; his aunts, Mona, Margaret, Milagros and Victoria; his Uncle Joe; his Pop-pops, Jack Bupp, and Grandma, Mary Bupp.
His cousins, Joe, Monique, Albert and Luke, will miss him greatly.
A funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 26, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 3333 Duffield Ave., Loveland. Interment Loveland Burial Park.
