John M. 'Jack' Willis
Businessman, fire chief, 65
John M. "Jack" Willis of Wheat Ridge, a business owner and former Wheat Ridge fire chief, died June 10. He was 65.
Services were June 14 at Faith Bible Chapel. Interment was in Crown Hill Cemetery.
He was born Oct. 26, 1934, in Denver and graduated from Colorado State University in 1956.
On Dec. 28, 1956, he married Elizabeth Pollock.
He was the owner of Saline Feed and Supply.
He volunteered with the Wheat Ridge Fire Department from 1962 and was chief of the department for more than 15 years.
He is survived by his wife; five daughters, Mary A. Littler, Castle Rock, Sue Hackethal, Wheat Ridge, Dianne Kampman, Arvada, and JoAnn Willis-Blauer and Virginia Molnar, both of Lakewood; his mother, Ruth, Evergreen; a sister, Moira Welsh, Lawson; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Francis David Wieland
Retired firefighter, 84
Francis David Wieland of Aurora, a retired firefighter, died Saturday. He was 84.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 13670 E. 13th Place. Interment will be in Fort Logan National Cemetery.
He was born Dec. 30, 1915, in Des Moines, Iowa. On July 29, 1939, he married Mary B. Scott. He was a firefighter for the Des Moines Fire Department.
His interests included woodworking, arts and crafts, and stagehand work.
He is survived by his wife; a daughter, Mary Lu Saddoris, Aurora; a son, Michael, Colorado Springs; six grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Alvin Edward Wichmann
Labor union secretary, 82
Alvin Edward "Al" Wichmann of Denver, a labor union recording secretary, died Tuesday. He was 82.
A memorial service will be at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday at Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church, 6995 W. 120th Ave., Broomfield. There will be cremation.
He was born June 25, 1917, in Denver. On June 25, 1938, he married Louise Marie Steinke. She preceded him in death.
Wichmann graduated from North High School. He was a staff sergeant in the Army Signal Corps during World War II. His squad was one of the first of the occupational forces to land in Japan.
He joined the Electrical Workers Union Local 68 in 1940 and retired as recording secretary.
He was a Boy Scout troop leader and a member, trustee, elder and Sunday school teacher for the Lutheran Church, Missouri Synod.
He is survived by a daughter, Leona L. Gustafson, Hilliard, Ohio; two sons, David, Westminster, and Robert, Golden; a brother, Leonard, Golden; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

He was born June 10, 1939, in Milwaukee. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin in 1965. On Oct. 22, 1966, he married Jane M. Kazmierczak in Laona, Wis.
He is survived by his wife; two daughters, Stephanie, Eagan, Minn., and Elizabeth, Albuquerque; a brother, Terry, Plymouth, Minn.; and a sister, Judith Moffitt, Lino Lakes, Minn.

Keith E. Wick of Golden, a retired engineer and consultant, died Oct. 17. He was 72.
Services were Thursday at Crown Hill Chapel. Interment was in Crown Hill Cemetery.
He was born April 20, 1927, in Chicago. On Oct. 21, 1967, he married Mary Katherine Meyer in Lakewood.
He was a member of several professional groups.
He is survived by his wife and a brother, Clyde, Denver.

Clifford 'Wick' Wickwire
Welder, 80
Clifford L. "Wick" Wickwire of Edgewater, a welder, died Nov. 1. He was 80.
Services were Saturday at Olinger Wadsworth Mortuary. There was cremation.
He was born Nov. 2, 1918, in Crete, N.D. On May 29, 1964, he married Mary Goff in Denver.
Wickwire was employed at Cardar Concrete Products for more than 25 years.
He was a member of Edgewater Elks Lodge No. 1777 and Young at Heart.
He is survived by his wife; three sons, Connie Goff, Westminster, Tom Goff, Thornton, and Dennis, Aurora; three daughters, Betty, Phoenix, Cookie Davidson, Denver, and Sherry Johnson, Parker; a sister, Florence Gibson, Oakes, N.D.; 16 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Mark Widger of Parker, a computer programmer, died Wednesday in Englewood. He was 45.
Memorial services and interment were Monday in Ashland, Neb.
He was born Jan. 23, 1955, in Imperial, Neb. He was an Eagle Scout. In 1978, he graduated with a degree in zoology from the University of Nebraska. He later studied computer science.
He was a programmer for Centura Health in Englewood. His interests included guitar, Harley-Davidson motorcycles and the outdoors.
On Nov. 24, 1984, he married Carrie Ehlers in Glenwood, Iowa.
He is survived by his wife; two daughters, Sarah and Alicia, both of Parker; a son, Matthew, Parker; his parents, Orville and Ila, Wauneta, Neb.; and three brothers, Dan, Wahoo, Neb., Sam, Kearney, Neb., and Ronnie Keithley, Herman, Neb.

James 'Jim' W. Wilson

James "Jim" W. Wilson of Littleton, a college professor and administrator, died Thursday in Lakewood. He was 78.
Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. today at Aspen Lakewood Chapel, 1350 Simms St.
He was born Sept. 22, 1921, in Titusville, Pa. He was a staff sergeant in the Marine Corps during World War II.
He attended Trinidad State Junior College and earned a master's degree from Colorado State University.
On Aug. 21, 1966, he married Connie Johnson in Skidmore, Mo.
He was a professor at both Trinidad State and CSU. He was also director for the state board of community colleges and occupational education.
He is survived by his wife; two daughters, Judith A., Denver, and Catherine E. Gunderson, Littleton; and two grandchildren.

He was born Nov. 20, 1927, in Rutland, Mass. He was an Eagle Scout. He attended South High School and graduated from the University of Michigan. On June 11, 1960, he married Lura R. Cation.
He was a member of St. John's Episcopal Cathedral, the American Society of Architects and the Colorado Welsh Society.
He is survived by his wife; two sons, David, South Fallsburg, N.Y., and Evan, Denver; and a daughter, Sarah, Holyoke, Mass.
