Ann G. Clark, a longtime Norwalk resident and homemaker, died Thursday, Oct. 2, at Norwalk Hospital. She was 81.
She died of complications from osteoperosis, according to her family.
Born March 2, 1922, in Jersey City, N.J., she was a daughter of the late Thomas A. and Louise Kuehn Borthwick.
Mrs. Clark had resided in Norwalk since 1964. She was a former member of the Women's Club of Norwalk.
She is survived by her husband, J. Robert Clark of Norwalk; four sons, Guy Clark of Cheshire, Thomas Clark of Worcester, Mass., Jeffrey Clark of Derry, N.H., and Steven Clark of Naugatuck; two sisters, Muriel Barber and Jacqueline Petronio, both of New Jersey; and 12 grandchildren.
Calling hours will be 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 5, at Collins Funeral Home, 92 East Ave., Norwalk.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 9 a.m. Monday, Oct. 6, at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 203 East Ave., Norwalk.

Doris Ionie Clarke a resident of Stamford since 1986, died Sunday, May 30, at home. She was 81.
She died of natural causes, according to her family.
Born Dec. 9, 1922, in Greenvale, Manchester, Jamaica, she was a daughter of the late Harold and Anna Nation Levy.
Mrs. Clarke attended New Testament Church of God in Stamford.
She is survived by her husband, Charles N. Clarke of Stamford; three daughters, Gloria Grasty, Yvonne Clarke-Hibbert and Jacqueline Ricketts, all of Stamford; one son, Nollis Clarke of Stamford; 14 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by a son, Turan Clarke; and a sister, Mazelin Powell.
Calling hours will be 7 to 9 p.m., Sunday, June 6, at New Testament Church of God, 724 South Pacific St., Stamford.
Funeral services will be10 a.m., Monday, June 7 in the church.
Burial will follow in Spring Grove Cemetery, Darien.

Emma Cobb of Bridgeport, a home health care assistant, died Sunday, Feb. 16, at Astoria Park in Bridgeport. She was 58.
She died of cancer, according to her family.
Born Aug. 7, 1944, in Edison, Ga., she was a daughter of the late W.Z. and Emma Jones.
She is survived by her husband, David L. Cobb Sr. of Bridgeport; a daughter, Debora S. Cobb of Bridgeport; two sons, David L. Cobb Jr. and Donte L. Cobb, both of Bridgeport; a sister, Pearline Hall of Edison; a brother, Deacon Ezekiel Jones of Edison; five grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Calling hours will be 10 to 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 21, at One Way Church of Christ of Apostolic Faith, 98 Richmond Hill Ave., Stamford.
A funeral service will follow calling hours at the church.

Gary S. Cohen of Port Chester, N.Y., a former Stamford resident and Babe Ruth league coach, died Wednesday, Sept. 10, in Hartford. He was 47.
He died of cardiac arrest, according to his family.
Born Aug. 10, 1957, in Staten Island, N.Y. he was a son of Marilyn Sherman Cohen of Stamford and the late Howard B. Cohen.
Mr. Cohen was a graduate of Rippowam High School in 1975 and Boston University in 1979.
He was employed by Pro Courier Inc. in Hartford.
He coached and umpired for Stamford's Babe Ruth baseball league for many years.
In addition to his mother, Mr. Cohen is survived by a brother, Richard Cohen of Milford; a niece and a nephew.
Calling hours will be at 5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 13, and 3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 14, at the Cohen residence.

Peter Coles of Stamford died Sunday, Sept. 7, at The Smith House health care center in Stamford. He was 60.
He died of cardiopulmunary arrest, according to his family.
Born July 5, 1943, in Charlottesville, Va., he was the son of Jean Coles of Stamford and the late Robert Coles.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 11, at Downer Funeral Home Inc., 31 Stillwater Ave., Stamford.
Burial will follow in Fairfield Memorial Park in Stamford.

Richard Newbold Colhoun, an entrepreneur who lived in Boothbay, Maine, died Sunday, June 22, at St. Andrews Hospital in Boothbay Harbor, Maine. He was 80.
He died of cancer, according to his family.
Born May 23, 1923, in Bryn Mawr, Pa., he was the son of the late Stephen and Mary Newbold Colhoun.
Mr. Colhoun was raised on a ranch in Gilroy, Calif., and attended school there. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II and flew B-17s and B-29s.
He owned and managed more than 20 companies. He worked as a residential real estate developer, sold John Deere earth-moving and gardening equipment, imported twine from Germany and distributed Toro products. Mr. Colhoun had an office in New York devoted to nontraditional investments.
He was chairman of the Stamford Planning Board and the YMCA in New Canaan. He was a board member of the New Canaan Country School, the Eagle Hill School in Southport, a board member and honorary trustee of Boothbay Region YMCA in Boothbay Harbor, Maine, and president of Trinity-Pawling School in Pawling, N.Y., for 23 years.
He enjoyed woodworking, traveling across the United States in his motor home, working outdoors and helping those in need. Mr. Colhoun, who was nicknamed "Trouble," will be remembered for his sense of humor.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia Canby Dushane Colhoun of Boothbay, Maine; a son, Michael Deere Colhoun of Santa Rosa, Calif.; two daughters, Nancy Stewart Colhoun of Palm Beach, Fla., and Susan Forbes Colhoun Taft of Sun Valley, Idaho.; two step-sons, Terry Hess of New York City and C.B. Dushane IV of Littleton, Co.; three stepdaughters, Betsy Hess Biskind of New York City, Lindy Hess Appleton of Cambridge, Mass., and Anne Canby Duschane of Phoenix, Ariz.; and seven grandchildren.
At the request of the deceased, there will be no services.

Charles A. Cologero, a Greenwich resident, died Tuesday, Nov. 5, at the Veterans Administration Hospital in New York City. He was 58.
He died of cancer, according to his family.
Born Jan. 18, 1944, in Stamford, he was a son of the late Charles and Rose Yannotti Cologero.
Mr. Cologero served in the U.S. Army in Korea.
He is survived by his wife, Sandy Wubbenhorst Cologero of Greenwich; two sisters, Grace Guarneri of Portsmouth, R.I., and Barbara Fidelibus of Darien; a brother, Anthony Cologero of Palm Coast, Fla.; nine nieces and nephews; and 13 great-nieces and great-nephews.
There will be no calling hours.

Tara Marie Virginia Colvin of Barre, Vt., died Sunday, Aug. 10, at Fletcher Allen Hospital in Burlington, Vt. She was 22.
The cause of death is unknown pending an autopsy, according to her family.
Born April 5, 1981, in Stamford, she was a daughter of Dorothy Turzer Palmenta of Barre and James Colvin of Bridgeport.
Miss Colvin attended Barre schools, graduating from Spaulding High School in 2001. After graduation, she worked at Daddy O's and GNC at the Berlin Mall in Berlin, Vt.
When she was 9, Miss Colvin was named Miss Pop Warner for her cheerleading. She enjoyed traveling, dancing and music.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by a brother, James West of Cabot, Vt.; a sister, Christine Fordham of Plainfield, Vt.; a maternal grandfather, Paul Turzer of Stamford; a paternal grandfather, Mac McLeod of Margate, Fla.; an aunt and three uncles; and a niece and three nephews.
She was predeceased by her maternal grandmother, Ella Turzer; and her paternal grandmother, Virginia McLeod.

Madalena Compani, who lived in Stamford for more than 30 years, died Saturday, Dec. 14, at home. She was 88.
She died of natural causes, according to her family.
Born March 29, 1914, in Jamaica, West Indies, she was the daughter of the late Bartolo and Cathrine Quallo Compani.
Ms. Compani worked in the accounting department of Pitney Bowes for 12 years before she retired.
She was a member of St. Bridget of Ireland Roman Catholic Church, the Springdale Senior Citizens Club, the Over Sixty Club and AARP.
Ms. Compani is survived by a daughter, Jennifer Gregory of Stamford; several nieces and nephews; and several grandnieces and grandnephews.

Mary Y. Conte, a lifelong Stamford resident, died Saturday, Oct. 26, at Mediplex of Stamford. She was 73.
She died of cardiac arrest, according to her family.
Born Mar. 27, 1929, in Stamford, she was a daughter of the late Antonio and Rachel Riccardelli Conte.
Before she retired, Miss Conte worked for 41 years for the Stamford finance department.
She is survived by two sisters, Matilda Raus of Stratford and Ida Saunders of Stamford; seven nephews and four nieces.
She was predeceased by a brother, Michael T. Conte; and a sister, Rose Lo Piano.
A memorial Mass will be celebrated at a later date.
Burial will be private.

Marguerite Elizabeth Penny Cooper, a longtime Stamford resident, died Sunday, Nov. 17, at Courtland Gardens Health Center in Stamford. She was 85.
She died of natural causes, according to her family.
Born July 26, 1917, in Stamford, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Elizabeth Osborn Penny.
Mrs. Cooper attended Stamford schools, graduating from Stamford High School in 1936. She was an electronics assembler at Data Products, formerly of Stamford, retiring in 1976. She also worked as an educational assistant in special education classes for the Stamford school system and in the after-school and summer programs at the Stamford Girls Club.
She was a member of Union Baptist Church for 78 years. She served on the Senior Usher Board for 61 years. She was a past matron of the Junior Usher Board and a former member of the nurse's unit.
Mrs. Cooper was a member of Phyllis Wheatley Temple No. 179 Improved Benevolent Protective Order of Elks of the World for more than 50 years. She served in the offices of vice daughter ruler, corresponding secretary, financial secretary, treasurer and trustee. She was a member of Nora F. Taylor Past Daughter Ruler Council for 40 years, where she served as a loyal daughter ruler and trustee.
She was a past state president in the New England States and Eastern Canada Association and was past grand daughter ruler in the Improved Benevolent Protective Order of Elks of the World. She was also a member of Carrie Garnett Marching Patrol for 40 years, where she served as quartermaster for 35 years.
Mrs. Cooper was a member of Queen Esther Court No. 467 Order of Calanthe for 42 years, where she served as register of deeds and worthy counselor. She was also a member of Grand Court of Calanthe, Jurisdiction of Connecticut, serving as grand register of deeds for 35 years. After her retirement, she was given the title of grand register of deeds emeritus.
She was a charter member of Queen of Sheba Tent No. 1 Imperial Council Princesses of Omar, where she was treasurer for 25 years. She was also a charter member of Viola Byrd Calanthe Drill Corps and Uniform Rank State of Connecticut Knights of Pythias, where she was a retired company commander.
She is survived by a daughter, Cynthia A. Cunningham of Stamford; a former husband, Joseph E. Cunningham of Camden, S.C.; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by her husband, Carl D. Cooper.
Calling hours will be 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 20, and 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 21, at Union Baptist Church, 804 Newfield Ave., Stamford.

Gary John Cooper, a Stamford resident, died Sunday, Nov. 24 at the Rosary Hill Home in Hawthorne, N.Y. He was 59.
He died of cancer, according to his family.
Born Nov. 28, 1942 in Stamford, he was the son of the late Eugene and Alice Uzwiak Cooper.
Mr. Cooper graduated from Stamford Catholic High School in 1960. He worked for General Electric Credit Corp. until he entered the U.S. Army in July 1964.
He served in Vietnam and was honorably discharged in July 1966. Mr. Cooper was awarded the Vietnam Service Medal, the Good Conduct Medal and the National Defense Service Medal.
After his discharge, he worked for GE Capital for many years. He left to open Talkies Video Store in Stamford. Mr. Cooper most recently worked as a self-employed accountant and tax consultant in Stamford.
He is survived by four brothers, Gene Cooper of Bergisch of Gladbach, Germany, Tim Cooper of New Milford, Michael Cooper of Danbury and David Cooper of Bethel; three sisters, Alice Jean Doricourt of Hearne, Texas, Barbara Schonert of Navasota, Texas, and Donna Cooper-McCarthy of New Milford; and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 27 at the Green Funeral Home, 57 Main St., Danbury.

Robert E. Cossette, a retired television and radio technician who lived in Stamford, died Friday, Feb. 7, at Stamford Hospital. He was 76.
He died of cancer, according to his family.
Born March 15, 1926, in Meriden, he was a son of the late Emile and Gertrude Niland Cossette.
Mr. Cossette graduated from Meriden High School in 1944. During World War II, he served in the U.S. Army from 1944 to 1946 and took part in the Asiatic-Pacific campaign. He also was stationed with occupation forces in Japan.
He completed his service with the rank of private first class and was awarded the American Campaign Medal, the World War II Victory Medal and the Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal.
Following his military service, Mr. Cossette graduated from DeForest Technical Institute in Chicago. He worked as a television and radio technician before retiring in 1981.
Mr. Cossette enjoyed playing sports and was captain of the varsity baseball team at Meriden High School. He also enjoyed golfing and bowling. After developing rheumatoid arthritis, he became an avid sports fan and liked to watch University of Connecticut basketball games with his daughter.
He is survived by his wife, Helen Gacher Cossette of Stamford; a daughter, Susan Cossette Eng of Darien; a brother, Donald Cossette of Meriden; two sisters, Anita Adduci of Meriden and Joan Lobb of Merritt Island, Fla.; a grandson; and many godchildren, nieces, nephews, grandnieces and friends.
Mr. Cossette was predeceased by a sister, Gertrude Cossette; and two brothers, Walter Cossette and Lawrence Cossette.
Calling hours will be 5 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 12, at the Lawrence Funeral Home, 2119 Post Road, Darien.

Joseph R. "Spike" Coviello, a retired officer for the Stamford Police Department and a longtime Stamford resident, died Saturday, Oct. 25, at home. He was 64.
He died from cancer, according to his family.
Born Dec. 9, 1938, in Port Chester, N.Y., he was a son of the late Salvatore and Rose Tomlins Coviello.
Mr. Coviello was a Stamford resident for 43 years and worked in the police department for 32 years. He also was a member of the Stamford Police Retirement Association.
He served in the U.S. Navy from 1956 to 1958.
Mr. Coviello was an avid golfer, and participated in several golf tournaments and leagues.
He enjoyed woodworking and spending time with his family and grandchildren.
Mr. Coviello is survived by his stepmother, Alice Coviello of Port Chester; his wife, Clara Sabia Coviello of Stamford; two daughters, Claire DeMasi of New Canaan and Lisa Conrad of Exton, Pa.; a son, Michael J. Coviello of Stamford; a sister, Margo Hazlewood of Belvidere, Ill.; and six grandchildren.

John D. Coyle of Greenwich, a retired electrical engineer, died Thursday, Aug. 15, in Ireland. He was 67.
He died in an automobile accident while visiting relatives, according to his family.
He was the son of the late Alice and John Coyle.
A graduate of the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy at Kings Point, N.Y., Mr. Coyle served in the Merchant Marines. He was a member of the Ponus Yacht Club, the 9th District Vets Club, the Greenwich Knights of Columbus and several local train associations.
He is survived by a sister, Dr. Irene Coyle; three sons, John Coyle, James Coyle and Thomas Coyle; a companion, Gina Reynolds; and two grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 24, at St. Catherine of Siena Church in Riverside.

Bruce James Crawford of New Canaan died Sunday, Jan. 12, at Norwalk Hospital. He was 48.
His cause of death is unknown and being investigated, according to his family.
Born June 16, 1954, in Flint, Mich., he was the son of Sally and Jim Crawford of Rochester, Mich.
Mr. Crawford grew up Rochester, where he was a member of Boy Scout Troop 123. He was a member of the Rochester High School track team, where he set and held the record for running the mile. After high school, he joined the U.S. Air Force and later graduated from Park College in Parksville, Mo.
At the time of his death, he was executive vice president of operations with Grubb & Ellis Co. in New York City.
Mr. Crawford enjoyed sailing, hiking and taking his children on camping trips. He was a soccer coach, Scout master and an avid runner who took part in six marathons.
Besides his parents, he is survived by his former wife, Claudia Crawford of Wilton; a son, Patrick Crawford of Wilton; two daughters, Caitlin Crawford and Claire Crawford, both of Wilton; two sisters, Jane Crawford of Rochester and Judy Pratt of Traverse City, Mich.; and many nieces and nephews.

Ernest Anthony Crisci, a longtime Norwalk resident, formerly of Brooklyn, N.Y., died Wednesday, Dec. 31, at Yale Medical Center. He was 50.
He died of complications from heart disease, according to his family.
Born April 16, 1953, in Norwalk, he was a son of Gloria Gisolfi Crisci of Norwalk and the late Anthony Crisci.
Mr. Crisci was a graduate of Bishop Loughlin High School in Brooklyn and a graduate of Fordham University.
He was an executive with NBC for 28 years and was a pioneer in the formation of MSNBC. He was an avid woodworker.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by a son, Anthony Howard Crisci of Norwalk; two daughters, Alison Crisci and Elizabeth Crisci, both of Norwalk; three brothers, Arthur Crisci of Norwalk, Tony Crisci of Oxford and Chris Crisci of Greenwich; three nieces, two nephews and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Born Dec. 9, 1932, in Stamford, he was a son of the late Michael and Flora Rutherford Crolla.
Mr. Crolla served in the U.S. Army in Germany.
He worked at Data Products in Stamford for 20 years before retiring.
As a young man, Mr. Crolla was a boxer. He was a member of the East Side Cardinals Club and an avid softball player, who pitched for and managed the East Side Cardinals Softball Team. He also managed the Stelma & Data Products Softball Team.
Mr. Crolla was a fan of the University of Connecticut Women's Basketball Team, the New York Mets baseball team and the NewYork Giants football team.
He is survived by his wife, Catherine Dohlon Crolla of Stamford; a daughter, Cindy L. Carpenter of Stamford; a son, George M. Crolla of Stamford; and three grandchildren.
Mr. Crolla was predeceased by three brothers, Michael Crolla, James Crolla and Alfred Crolla.
Calling hours will be 6 to 8 p.m. today, Jan. 19, at Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Ave., Stamford, with a service at 7 p.m. The Rev. Thomas Otas, pastor of Presbyterian Church of Greenwich, will officiate.
Burial will be private.
