Alan Joseph Tamucci of Norwalk died Friday, Nov. 15, at Norwalk Hospital. He was 55.
He died of lung cancer, according to his family.
Born Nov. 11, 1947, in Bridgeport, he was the son Nancy Esposito Tamucci of Davie, Fla., and the late Joseph Tamucci.
Mr. Tamucci was raised in Norwalk and attended Oglethorpe University in Atlanta.
He served in the U.S. Air Force for four years, 1968 to 1972.
He enjoyed racquetball, custom carpentry and cabinetmaking, dancing, swimming, sailing, tennis and golf. He was a past state champion in the Connecticut Racquetball Association.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Alison Marie Wolfe Tamucci of Norwalk; a son, Joseph Tamucci of Norwalk; a sister, Darlene Tamucci Smyth of San Jose, Calif.; and two uncles and two nieces.
A memorial service will be celebrated at noon Friday, Nov. 22, at the Unitarian Church in Westport, 10 Lyons Plains Road, Westport.
County Cremation Service, 36 South Pine Creek Road, Fairfield, is handling arrangements.

Yolanda M. Tarantino of Seminole, Fla., a former longtime Stamford resident, died Sunday, Jan. 13, at Largo Medical Center in Largo, Fla. She was 86.
She died of cardiac arrest, according to her family.
Born June 22, 1915, in Stamford, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Mary Guinipero.
Mrs. Tarantino was a homemaker and a devout member of St. Maurice Church in Stamford, where she was a member of the Rosary Altar Society. She also belonged to St. Cecilia Church in Stamford. She volunteered her time with many church activities and was active in their building funds. She was a volunteer with the Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts of America, Brownies and Girl Scouts organizations.
She was a member of the High Ridge Country Club, the Stamford Women's Club and Garden Club, the Darien Garden Club and the Toastmasters Club. She was an avid golfer and painter, and she enjoyed the theater.
She is survived by a daughter, Sally Mary Gorham of Chester, Md.; a son, Ronald Michael Tarantino of Andover, Mass.; three grandsons; one great-grandson; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Salvatore Anthony Tarantino.
Calling hours will be 9 to 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 18, at Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home, 104 Myrtle Ave., Stamford.
A procession will leave the funeral home at 10 a.m., proceeding to St. Maurice Church, 358 Glenbrook Road, Stamford, for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m.
Burial will follow in St. John's cemeteryin Darien.

Richard A. Tassiello, a longtime Stamford resident and former owner and operator of a trucking company in Stamford, died Saturday, May 3 at Bridgeport Hospital. He was 61.
He died of multiple organ failure, according to his family.
Born Feb. 23, 1942 in New York City, he was the son of the late Louis and Mary Famaulro Tassiello.
He is survived by two sons, Louis J. Tassiello of Stamford and Richard A. Tassiello Jr. of Gaithersburg, Md.; a daughter, Deborah Tassiello of Stamford; and eight grandchildren.
Calling hours will be 5 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, May 6 at the Lacerenza Funeral Home, 8 Schuyler Ave., Stamford.

Barbara B. Tatton of Stamford, a former Greenwich resident and retired medical technician, died Thursday, Jan. 16, at Sunrise Assisted Living of Stamford. She was 81.
She died of natural causes, according to her family.
Born Feb. 28, 1921, in Providence, R.I., she was the daughter of the late Alfred S. and Rowena Pierce Brownell.
Mrs. Tatton graduated from Radcliffe College in 1943. She was a medical technician at Stamford Hospital for many years before retiring in 1987.
She lived in Greenwich from 1947 to 2001. She served as secretary of the Greenwich Riding and Trails Association. She was an active volunteer for Adopt-A-Dog Inc. of Greenwich.
She is survived by her son, A. Geoffrey Tatton of Stamford; a brother, Peter Brownell of Exeter, R.I.; two grandchildren; two nieces; a nephew; a grandniece; and a grandnephew.
She was predeceased by her husband, Roger Edward Tatton.
There will be no calling hours.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Burial will be private.

Nancy Taub, a registered nurse and former Stamford resident, died Sunday, Nov. 24 at Palm Beach Medical Center in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla. She was 68.
She died of pneumonia, according to her family.
Born Oct. 27, 1934 in Stamford, she was the daughter of the late Aaron and Edith Weissman.
At the time of her death, Mrs. Taub lived in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.
She was a registered nurse who worked at Stamford Hospital and later in the private practice of Dr. Lambros Siderides.
Mrs. Taub was the former president of Brandeis University Women's Committee. She was also a member of the Palm Beach Quilting Society, Hadassah,the Contract Bridge League in West Palm Beach, Fla., Temple Beth El in Stamford, and Temple Israel in West Palm Beach, Fla.
She is survived by her husband, Bernard Taub of Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.; a son, Bruce Taub of Brookline, Mass.; a daughter, Deborah Evans of Amherst, Mass.; a brother, Peter Weissman of Stamford; and four grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 26 at Temple Beth El, 350 Roxbury Road, Stamford.
Burial will follow at Beth El cemeteryin Stamford.
Shiva will be observed from 5 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 26 at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Milton Mann, 69 Studio Road, Stamford.

Regina Elke Taylor, a Norwalk resident, died Friday, Nov. 1, at Stamford Hospital. She was 56.
She died of cardiac arrest, according to her family.
Born May 4, 1946, in Armstedtl Sageberg, West Germany, she was the daughter of the late Herta and Walter Renkel.
Ms. Taylor worked at PAC-KIT Safety Equipment Co. in Norwalk.
She is survived by two daughters, Erika Taylor-Motte of Baytown, Texas, and Elke Taylor of Bridgeport; and two grandchildren.
Funeral services and burial will be held privately in Texas.

Frank J. Telesco, a lifelong Stamford resident, died Wednesday, May 28, at Stamford Hospital. He was 59.
He died of heart failure, according to his family.
Born Jan. 14, 1944, in Stamford, he was the son of Anna Crocco Agostino of Stamford and the late Daniel Telesco.
Mr. Telesco served in the National Guard for six years during the 1960s. He was a self-employed appliance repair specialist.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Susan Forger Telesco of Stamford; a son, Frank J. Telesco Jr. of Stamford; a daughter, Jennifer A. DeRubeis of Stamford; two sisters, Diane Boyan of Stamford and Ida O'Brien of Columbus, Ohio; and two grandchildren.

Sister Silvia Terenzio, a resident of Acuto, Italy, and a native of Settefrati, died Monday, July 15, at her home. She was 90.
She died of natural causes, according to her family.
Born July 9, 1912, in Settefrati, Italy, she was a daughter of the late Vincento and Teresa Terenzio.
She had been a nun since 1932.
She is survived by five nephews, Armando Socci of Norwalk, Peter Socci of Brookfield, and Carmine Socci, James Socci and Philip Socci, all of New Canaan; six nieces, Rafaela Pavalwski of Florida, Josephine Monroe of Marietta, Ga., Tessi Pinder and Ann Calitri, both of New Canaan, Marie Dicostanzo of Wilton and Joan Legenzowski of South Salem, N.Y.; and 34 great-grandnieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents she was predeceased by two sisters, Antonietta Socci and Marietta Socci.
There will be no calling hours.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Acuto and Settefrati, Italy.
A memorial service will be held at noon Saturday, Aug. 3, at St. Aloysius Church, 40 Maple St., New Canaan.

Phillip S. Thagouras, a machinist and longtime Stamford resident, died Saturday, Oct. 19 at Stamford Hospital. He was 72.
He died of cardiac arrest, according to his family.
Born June 1, 1930 in Istiaia Euboia, Greece, he was the son of the late Sotirios and Stavroula Savopoulou Thagouras.
Before retiring, Mr. Thagouras worked for five years for Clairol in Stamford, and for more than 20 years at the former F.A.G. Bearing Co. in Stamford.
He was a member of the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church in Stamford.
He is survived by his wife, Sophia Skreptis Thagouras of Stamford; two daughters, Voula Capomolla and Toni Starson, both of Stamford; a son, Sotirios "Steve" P. Thagouras of Stamford; two brothers, Diomidis Thagouras of Greece and Antonios Thagouras of Pensacola, Fla.; and six grandchildren.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by three brothers, Peter Thagouras, John Thagouras and Athanaios Thagouras.

Chester Lee Thompson, a longtime Stamford resident died Thursday, Oct. 2, at Tandet Center for Continuing Care in Stamford. He was 83.
He died of natural causes, according to his family.
Born Nov. 8, 1919, in Hillsboro, N.C., he was a son of the late Arthur L. and Hannah Green Thompson.
Mr. Thompson served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
He worked for C.O. Millers Department Store in Stamford and Miracle Faith Outreach Inc. of Monroe as head of maintenance until his retirement. He was a longtime and faithful member and deacon of Miracle Faith Outreach Inc.
He is survived by a son, Rev. Charles L. Thompson Sr. of Bridgeport; three daughters, Linda Thompson of Norfolk, Va., Glenda Thompson of Stamford and Joyce Thompson-Minor of Norfolk; four sisters, Annie Johnson of Stamford, Vera Watts and the Rev. Lillie Warren, both of North Carolina, and Elsie Binns of the Bronx, N.Y.; two brothers, James Thompson and Louis Thompson, both of North Carolina; 18 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Mr. Thompson was predeceased by his first wife, Annie Mae Ruffin-Thompson; his second wife, Elizabeth Graves-Thompson; and a daughter, Regina Thompson.

Joseph Lee Thompson of Boston, a painter and restorer of antiques and classic cars, died Sunday, Aug. 17, at Boston University Hospital. He was 62.
He died of heart failure, according to his family.
Born May 5, 1941, in Hillsborough, N.C., he was a son of the late Rev. Ervin Thompson and Estelle Vinson Thompson.
Mr. Thompson graduated from Central High School in Hillsborough in 1959. He moved to Stamford after graduation and was employed by Earl Shire Auto Body Paint Shops, formerly in Stamford. He lived in Stamford for about three years before moving to Boston. He later lived in Bridgeport and Norwalk.
In Boston, he owned several small businesses, including a boutique called Thompson Jeans and Things.
He is survived by a son, Baron Joseph Thompson of Augusta, Maine; a daughter, Amanda Thompson of Augusta; an adopted daughter, Michelle Thompson; eight sisters, Mary Bennett of Stamford, Ruth Yarborough of Bridgeport, Sarah Green of Gambrills, Md., Aseniah Wallace of North Myrtle Beach, S.C., Esterine Coward of Holy Spring, N.C., Michelle Kenion of Charlotte, N.C., and Magdeline Davis and Rachel Brown, both of Hillsborough, N.C.; five brothers, Daniel Thompson of Norwalk, Ervin Matthew Thompson of Bridgeport, Mark Thompson of Englewood, Calif., Philip Thompson of Durham, N.C., and Samuel Thompson of Hillsborough; and two grandchildren.
He was predeceased by a brother, David Thompson.
A memorial service will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 30, at New Birth in Christ United Holiness Church, formally Mount Zion AME, 4515 NC 86 North, Hillsborough, N.C., with the Rev. Charlie Thompson, his cousin, officiating.

Marguerite Rimany "Bobbie" Thomson, a retired pharmacist and Stamford resident, died Tuesday, Nov. 19, at the Richard L. Rosenthal Hospice Residence at Stamford Hospital. She was 94.
She died of natural causes, according to her family.
Born March 2, 1908, in Darien, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Vernon Smilanski Rimany Reman.
Mrs. Thomson graduated from Darien schools. She worked as a pharmacist, first for several years at Siladi's Pharmacy in Stamford, then for 31 years at Grieb's Pharmacy in Darien. She retired in 1975.
She was a volunteer at local chapters of Meals on Wheels, Planned Parenthood and Person-to-Person. She was also a life member of the First Congregational Church of Darien.
She is survived by a brother, Joseph R. Rimany of Waterbury; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Vincent J. Thomson; three sisters, Yustin Lasky Nyisaloski, Helen I. Siladi and Ethel Battenhausen; and a brother, William Rimany.
Calling hours will be 2 to 5 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 21, at Edward Lawrence Funeral Home, 2119 Post Road, Darien.
A service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 22, at the funeral home. The Rev. Ron Evans will officiate.

Mattie L. Thornton, a nurse's assistant and Stamford resident for more than 32 years, died Wednesday, Jan. 29 at Stamford Hospital. She was 66.
She died of cardiac arrest, according to her family.
Born Jan. 31, 1936, in Rayville, La., she was a daughter of the late Charlie and Gertrude Bracey Thornton.
Ms. Thornton was a member of Bibleway Church of God in Christ Jesus Apostolic in Stamford, where, she was a church mother, an usher, a Bible school teacher and a missionary.
She worked at The Smith House in Stamford for 10 years. She also worked for Laidlaw Transit Inc. and the Visiting Nurses Association, both in Stamford.
She is survived by a son, Charles Lee Curry of Elkins Park, Pa.; two daughters, Glenda Summers and Wanda Watkins, both of Stamford; a brother, Charles Thornton Jr. of Monroe, La.; five sisters, Mary Elizabeth Lewis of Rustin, La., and Hattie Travis, Charles Ann Mitchell, Betty Sue Thornton and Annie Mae Thompson, all of Rayville; a foster sister, Dr. Herlene F. Streeter of Stamford; a stepmother, Essie B. Thornton of Rayville; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Jeanne Alippe Tilton of Alexandria, Va., died Sunday, Dec. 15, at Mount Vernon Hospital in Alexandria. She was 78.
She died of pneumonia, according to her family.
Born Sept. 17, 1924, in New Jersey, she was a daughter of the late Marie and Philip Alippe.
Mrs. Tilton lived in Stamford for more than 40 years, moving to Alexandria in 1999. She was a former editor of Medical Marketing and Media magazine in Springdale and she worked in the publishing industry for 35 years. She was a former member of the St. John's Lutheran Church in Stamford.
She is survived by her husband, George H. Tilton III of Alexandria; two daughters, Elizabeth Jane Tilton-Wahlert of Alstead, N.H., and Theodora Tiffany Tilton of Alexandria; a brother, Douglas Alippe of Hardy, Va.; a sister, Elizabeth Boecher of Hendersonville, N.C.; and six grandchildren.
She was predeceased by a son, George H. Tilton IV.
Visitation will be from 9:30 to 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 20, at Messiah Lutheran Church, 6510 Fort Hunt Road, Alexandria, Va.
A funeral service will follow at 10 a.m.

Philip Tolliver, a Stamford High School student and a lifelong Stamford resident, died Thursday, July 17, at home. He was 19.
He died of a heart attack, according to his family.
Born Feb. 18, 1984, in Stamford, he was a son of Phillip Jones of Montego Bay, Jamaica, and Salome Tolliver of Stamford.
He was to enter his senior year of high school in September.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his son, Nyshawn Tolliver of Stamford; a brother, Dennis Tolliver of Stamford; a sister, Annie Tolliver of Stamford; a maternal grandmother, Laverne Reed of Stamford; a paternal grandmother, Theresa Henderick of Stamford; a niece; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Angelina Toomey of Stamford, a homemaker, died Monday, June 28, at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital in New York City. She was 84.
She died of liver failure, according to her family.
Born May 17, 1920, in East Millsboro, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Helen Carter Leonetti.
Mrs. Toomey lived in Stamford for the past 14 years.
She is survived by a daughter, Diane Toomey of Belmont, Mass.; a son, James Toomey of Essen, Germany; two brothers, Robert Leonetti and Rudy Leonetti, both of Stamford; and one grandchild.
She was predeceased by her husband, James Toomey.

Nicholas H. Tournas of Stamford died Friday, Feb. 28, at his home. He was 56.
He died of cardiac arrest, according to his family.
Born Feb. 22, 1947 in Sparta, Greece, he was the son of Christopher Tournas of Greece and the late Helen Berthenis Tournas.
He lived in Stamford for 35 years. He was a roofer with Gottfried Roofing Co. in Stamford. He was a member of the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church of Stamford and was an avid gardener.
In addition to his father, he is survived by a son, Christopher Tournas of Norwalk; a daughter, Helen Tournas of Stamford; five sisters,Maria Tournas of Somerville, Mass., Vasilo Tournas of Washington, D.C., Anna Karalemas and Christine Tournas, both of Greece, and Sophia Tournas of Paramus, N.J.; and his former wife, Paula Tournas of Stamford.
He was predeceased by a son, Jimmy Tournas.

Charles E. Treadway Jr., a retired head custodian for Stamford Public Schools, died Monday, Aug. 5, at his home in Stamford. He was 69.
He died of heart failure and diabetes-related illnesses, according to his family. During the past year, he was cared for by his daughter-in-law, Tiffini Ragsdale Treadway of Stamford.
Born March 14, 1933 in Stamford, he was the son of the late Ruth and Charles E. Treadway.
Before working as a custodian, Mr. Treadway was a shop steward in the bindery at Condé Nast Publications, formerly in Greenwich.
Mr. Treadway graduated from Stamford High School in 1951. From 1956 to 1958, he served in 24th regiment 7th cavalry in Inchon during the Korean War. He was honorably discharged.
He was a lifelong member of Bethel AME Church in Stamford. He was also a member of the I.B.P.O.E. The Shining Star Lodge #14, the St. John Masonic Lodge, the AARP, and numerous other organizations.
He was survived by a son, Charles E. Treadway III of Stamford; two daughters, Jacqueline Boyd of Norlina, N.C., and Rachel Clair Treadway of Bridgeport; a sister, Delores Collins of Freemont, Calif.; a brother, retired Stamford Police Sgt. Martin Treadway of Stamford; a granddaughter and four grandsons; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was predeceased by his wife, Pattie C. Treadway; a sister, Virginia Rosina Perdue; and a brother, Raymond L.B. Treadway.

Saundo S. Tremonte of Norwalk, a World War II veteran, died Tuesday, Aug. 12, at the Honeyhill Care Center in Norwalk. He was 82.
He died of natural causes, according to his family.Born March 22, 1921, in Westport, he was the son of the late Edward and Vita Renzulli Tremonte.
Mr. Tremonte served in the Army Medical Corps during World War II.
He worked for 30 years at the Harlic Bag Co., formerly in South Norwalk, and then for 20 years at Burndy Corp., formerly in Norwalk, where he did electrical work and carpentry.
A Norwalk resident for most of his life, Mr. Tremonte was a devoted family man and an avid golfer who was once mentioned in Golf Digest for making a hole-in-one at the Oak Hills Golf Course in Norwalk. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 399 in Westport.
He is survived by his wife, Lucy Allegretta Tremonte of Norwalk. They would have been married 58 years next week. He also is survived by three sons, Edward Tremonte of Brookfield, Joseph Tremonte of Norwalk and Nicholas Tremonte of Norwalk; a daughter, Rosemarie Tremonte of Norwalk; a brother, Albert Tremonte of Westport; four sisters, Eleanor DiPrisco of Norwalk, Mary Tremonte of Norwalk, Carmella Sniffen of Norwalk, and Margaret Gates of Huntington; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by four brothers, Thomas Tremonte, Anthony Tremonte, Liberty Tremonte and Ernest Tremonte.
Calling hours will be 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 15, at Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Ave., Norwalk.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 16, at St. Matthew Church, 216 Scribner Ave., Norwalk.
Burial will follow in St. John's cemeteryin Norwalk.

Maria Grazia Tucciarone, a longtime Norwalk resident, died Sunday, March 2, at Norwalk Hospital. She was 60.
She died of cancer, according to her family.
Born Feb. 21, 1943, in Ischia, Italy, she was the daughter of the late Antonio and Restituta D'Iorio Boccanfuso.
Mrs. Tucciarone lived in Norwalk since 1957. She worked at T-Bar, formerly in Norwalk, for 22 years.
She is survived by two daughters, Lisa Sanders and Melissa Wilson, both of Norwalk; two brothers, Gennaro Boccanfuso and Frank Boccanfuso, both of Norwalk; four sisters, Concetta Socci and Carmella Martino, both of Norwalk, Irene Marron of Gainesville, Fla., and Nancy Lassen of Bolton, Mass.; three grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews.
She was predeceased by a sister, Elena Boccanfuso; and a step-father, Gennaro Boccanfuso.
Calling hours will be 5 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, March 5, at Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Ave., Norwalk.

Francis Turano, a construction consultant and Stamford resident died Thursday, Aug. 21, at Greenwich Hospital. He was 86.
He died of natural causes, according to his family.
Born July 6, 1917, in Brooklyn, N.Y., he was a son of the late Elsie Hecker.
Mr. Turano was a veteran of the United States Army during World War II.
He is survived by two sons, Robert M. Turano of East Hampton, N.Y., and Donald C. Turano of New Canaan; and three grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his wife of 63 years, Lillian Anna Turano.
A service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Aug. 25, at Leo P. Gallagher and Son Funeral Home, 2900 Summer St., Stamford.
Burial will follow in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Maspeth, Queens, N.Y.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of one's choice.
