Jane Hamilton Bosak, a Stamford resident, died Thursday, March 21, at Stamford Hospital. She was 58. She died of injuries sustained in an automobile accident, according to her family. Born July 17, 1943, in Jacksonville, Fla., she was the daughter of Elizabeth Kennedy Bacon of Stamford and the late Noel R. Bacon. Mrs. Bosak was a Stamford resident since 1961. She graduated from Newton College of the Sacred Heart in 1965. She worked in the fashion industry as a self-employed consultant for the Carlisle Collection of New York for the past 14 years. Mrs. Bosak was an active member of St. Leo's parish in Stamford where she was both a Eucharistic minister and lector. She was also a member of many religious and charitable organizations. She was a member of the Woodway Country Club. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Donald F. Bosak of Stamford; two daughters, Noelle Ward and Anne Gerstner, both of Stamford; a son, William Bosak of Easton; and six grandchildren. Calling hours will be 5 to 8 p.m., Sunday, March 24, and 5 to 8 p.m., Monday, March 25, at the Bosak-Talboys Funeral Home, 2900 Summer St., Stamford. Carmela D. Botticelli of Greenville, S.C., a former Stamford resident, died Sunday, Nov. 9, at Rolling Green Village in Greenville. She was 95. She died of natural causes, according to her family. Born May 30, 1908, in Bovino, Italy, she was the daughter of the late Marco and Rosa De Angelis Di Giovanni. Mrs. Botticelli was an assistant dressmaker for various designers in New York City. She lived in Stamford until moving to Greenville in 1981. She was a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Taylors, S.C. She is survived by three cousins, Angela Fratturo, Clotilda Mc Grath and Jules Fratturo, all of Greenville; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Vincent Botticelli. There will be no calling hours. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 12, at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 1209 Brushy Creek Road, Taylors. A rite of committal will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park Mausoleum in Greenville. Marie Agnes Maurine Content Boursiquot, a Stamford resident, died Wednesday, Feb. 19, at Stamford Hospital. She was 76. She died of a stroke, according to her family. Born Nov. 3, 1926, in Haiti, she was a daughter of the late Morneus and Ulna Pierre-Louis Content. Mrs. Boursiquot was a Stamford resident for five years. She was a member of the Haitian community at St. John the Evangelist Church in Stamford and a homemaker. She is survived by her husband, Felix Boursiquot of Stamford; two sons, Michael Boursiquot of Lanham, Md., and Jean-Leonard Boursiquot of Stamford; three daughters, Mary Carrole Boursiquot of East Orange, N.J., and Michaelle Boursiquot and Mirlene Boursiquot, both of Haiti; two sisters, Helene Content and Mercilie Content, both of Haiti; and seven grandchildren. Calling hours will be 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 28, at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Ave., Stamford. Edwin E. Bovi, a lifelong Norwalk resident and retired deputy chief of the Norwalk Fire Department, died Friday, Feb. 14, at Norwalk Hospital. He was 86. He died of natural causes, according to his family. Born Aug. 19, 1916, in Norwich, N.Y., he was a son of the late Rudolph Bovi and the late Frances Bovi. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. Mr. Bovi was appointed as a call fireman in 1947 and as a regular fireman in 1948. He was appointed captain in 1959. He became deputy chief in 1960 and retired in 1978. He was a member of the Fairfield County Fire Chiefs Association. He is survived by his wife, Jean Williamson Bovi of Norwalk; a son, Norwalk firefighter Kenneth Bovi of Norwalk; a daughter, Bonnie Manns of Madison; three grandsons; and eight great-grandchildren. Calling hours will be 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 18, at Collins Funeral Home, 92 East Ave., Norwalk. Juanita Boyd of Stamford, a former Greenwich and New York City resident, died Sunday, Feb. 9, at Stamford Hospital. She was 54. She died of cardiac arrest, according to her family. Born Jan. 17, 1949, in Stamford, she was the daughter of Geraldine Elizabeth Boyd of Stamford and the late Emanuel Boyd. Ms. Boyd grew up in Stamford where she attended high school. She was a member of Bethel AME Church in Stamford where she attended Sunday school and was an active church member. In addition to her mother, she is survived by a son, Christopher Boyd of Staten Island, N.Y.; a brother, Lawrence Boyd of Stamford; a grandson; two step-grandchildren; two aunts; and a host of cousins and friends. Michael J. Boyle of Norwalk, a former Stamford resident, died Wednesday, Feb. 5, at home. He was 73. He died of heart failure, according to his family. Born Oct. 25, 1929, in Stamford, he was the son of the late Michael J. Boyle and Edith Westerfield Boyle Lea. Mr. Boyle lived in Stamford most of his life. He attended St. John's Parochial Elementary School, formerly in Stamford, and graduated from Stamford High School in 1947. He worked in plumbing and heating for several contractors in Stamford and Greenwich. He was a member of the former Plumbing and Heating Local 311, where he was a recording secretary for a few years. He served in the Connecticut National Guard. During the Korean War, he was called into active duty and was a sergeant first class in the Army's 192nd Field Artillery Battalion, 43rd Division. He moved to Norwalk seven months ago. He is survived by his wife, Norma R. DeNocenzo Boyle of Norwalk; three daughters, Linda S. LaFortune and Maureen J. Meehan, both of Stamford, and Marlene J. Boyle of Norwalk; and three granddaughters and three nephews. He was predeceased by a sister, Dorothy Benz. Sister Mary Ellen Boyle, formerly Sister Mary Edmund, of the Sisters of St. Joseph, died Saturday, June 7, at Provincial House, Convent Mary Immaculate, West Hartford. She was 63. She died of heart failure, according to her religious superiors. Born Jan. 1, 1940, in New Haven, she was the daughter of the late Edmund and Mary Ellen Rafferty Boyle. Sister Boyle entered the Sisters of St. Joseph on Sept. 1, 1960, and professed her perpetual vows July 2, 1968. She graduated from St. Francis Hospital School of Nursing in Hartford before receiving a degree in education from the Diocesian Sisters College in West Hartford. She went on to earn a MSN in psychiatry from Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C., and a master's degree in art education from Southern Connecticut State University in New Haven. She served as head nurse in medicine at St. Francis Hospital in Hartford, later becoming assistant director of nursing service in psychiatry. In the mid-1970s, she taught art at Sacred Heart Academy of Stamford and the former St. Mary High School in New Haven. Sister Boyle participated in the Summer Renewal Program for Women at Mercy Center in Madison for several years and was a former member of the Archdiocesan Renew Program Advisory Board. She also was chairwoman of the Search Committee for a Vicar of Religious for the Archdiocese and a Convener of the Archdiocesan Sisters' Council. She is survived by two brothers, Kevin R. Boyle of Madison and Edmund R. Boyle of Atlanta; two nieces; and a grandniece. Calling hours will be 3 to 6:45 p.m. Wednesday, June 11, at the Convent Mary Immaculate, 27 Park Road, West Hartford. Anghild B. Brencher, a longtime Darien resident, died Tuesday, Dec. 31, at her home. She was 96. She died of natural causes, according to her family. Born Oct. 4, 1906, in Stamford, she was the daughter of the late Alfred and Agnes Berghult. Mrs. Brencher was a member of United Methodist Church of Darien and a former member of the New Haven Lutheran Ladies. She was a former West Haven resident. She was predeceased by her husband, William H. Brencher; a son, William H. Brencher Jr.; and a daughter, Gail A. Billingham. She is survived by two grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Mark D. Brickley of Stamford died Sunday, Nov. 24, at home. He was 50. He died of cardiac arrest, according to his family. Born Aug. 4, 1952, in Schenectady, N.Y., he was the son of Anne and Joseph Brickley of Harwich, Mass., formerly of Westport. Mr. Brickley graduated from Staples High School in Westport in 1970 and graduated Union College in Schenectady in 1974. He was self-employed in the sports marketing field and held several executive positions in sports marketing, including with the New York Cosmos Soccer Team and Major League Baseball's Old Timers Series. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his former wife, Suzanne Brickley of Huntersville, N.C.; a son, Sean Brickley of Huntersville; a daughter, Erin Brickley of Huntersville; a brother, Neil Brickley of Wethersfield; and two nephews. Michael P. Brigante Jr. of Norwalk, died Friday, Jan. 17 at home. He was 77. He died of cancer, according to his family. Born Jan. 10, 1926, in Waterbury, he was the son of the late Michael and Vincenza Latierza Brigante. Mr. Brigante was a Norwalk resident for most of his life. He worked as a shop steward at Perkin-Elmer Corp. in Norwalk. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a former member of St. Vincent Society in Norwalk. Mr. Brigante is survived by his wife, Margaret Cloutier Brigante of Norwalk; a son, Phillip Brigante of Bridgeport; a brother, Vincent Brigante of Deltona, Fla.; two sisters, Mary Varricchio of Stamford and Jennie Andrasi of Zephyr Hills, Fla.; and three grandchildren. Mary "Teddy" Catherine Briscoe, a nanny, public school employee and longtime Stamford resident, died Saturday, Sept. 6, at Stamford Hospital. She was 53. She died of heart failure, according to her family. Born June 18, 1950, in Eastville, Va., she was a daughter of the late Robert and Ellen Custis Briscoe. Mrs. Briscoe was a graduate of Northampton County High School in Hampton, Va. in 1968. She then moved to Stamford where she lived and worked for many years in the Stamford Public Schools and also as a nanny. She was an active member of the Community Tabernacle of Deliverance in Stamford. She is survived by a daughter, Tammie Lashon Briscoe of Stamford; a son, Rodney Allen Briscoe of Stamford; two sisters, Jacqueline "Jackie" Romeo of Stamford and Lonnie Thomas of Petersburg, Va.; one brother Joseph Custis; and one grandchild. She was predeceased by a brother, Wayne Briscoe. A funeral service will be 12 noon Friday, Sept. 12, at the Community Tabernacle of Deliverance. Burial will be private. Ann S. Brown, a longtime Stamford resident, died Wednesday, Oct. 1, at Stamford Hospital. She was 80. She died of respiratory arrest, according to her family. Born Dec. 21, 1922 in New York City, she was the daughter of the late C.O.M. and Dorothy Wolf Sprague. Mrs. Brown attended the Brearley School in New York City and, in 1944, graduated from Bryn Mawr College in Bryn Mawr, Pa. She lived for many years in Stamford and Tuscon, Ariz. She was an avid sailor and a member of the Corinthians and the Halloween Yacht Club. Mrs. Brown served on committees and volunteered with the Republican Party. She survived by three daughters, Lucy Sprague Norton of North Waterboro, Maine, Barbara Auchincloss Barton of Chaplin and Annie Barton Littlefield of Eliot, Maine; five stepchildren, John Barton of Westport, Benjamin Barton of Darien, Prudence Brown of Trumbull, Belden Brown of Carlsbad, Calif. and Mary Brown McLaughlin of Essex Junction, Vt.; many grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. She was predeceased by her first husband, Richard Norton; her second husband, John H. Barton; her third husband, Belden Bain Brown; and a son, Richard Norton. J.B. Brown of Darien, a principal partner at Hynes, Himmelreich, Glennon & Co., in Darien died Saturday, Nov. 1, at home. He was 37. The cause of death is unknown pending an autopsy, according to the state Office of the Chief Medical Examiner. Born May 12, 1966, in Birmingham, Mich., he was the son of Vern and Sheila Henderson Brown of Wilmington, N.C. Mr. Brown was a volunteer fireman with Darien Fire Department and received the 2003 Rookie of the Year award. Mr. Brown coached Darien Junior Flag Football and was active with the Big Brothers and Big Sisters of America. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Megan Axthelm Brown of Darien; a son, Matthew Brown of Darien; a daughter, Mary Brown of Darien; and a sister, Heather Brown of Wilmington, N.C. James "Yack" Brown of Bridgeport, former owner and manager of Dot and Jim's Seafood Market in Stamford, died Friday, Dec. 13 at Yale-New Haven Hospital. He was 63. He died of cardiac arrest, according to his family. Born March 23, 1939 in Williamston, N.C., he was the son of the late Rev. George Brown and Mary Bell Brown. Mr. Brown graduated from E.J. Hays High School in Williamston, N.C., and was a former member of Shiloh Baptist Church there. He lived in Stamford for many years before moving to Bridgeport. He was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church in Bridgeport and Elk's Lodge No. 303, where he served as a past Exalted Ruler. He was also a member of the Council of Knights of Pythias, where he served as Leading Knight. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Dorothy Brown of Bridgeport; a daughter, Bernadette Palmer of Bridgeport; a son, James Brown Jr. of Bridgeport; three sisters, Roberta Nickelsen of Eden, N.C.; Christine Price of Stoneville, N.C., and Janice Bazemore of Williamston, N.C.; three brothers, the Rev. Earl Brown of Richmond, Va.; George Brown of Bridgeport and Alfred Bonner of Baltimore, Md.; a stepmother, Mary Pittman of Rocky Mount, N.C.; and many friends and relatives. Sylvester Brown, a nurse and Stamford resident for more than 30 years, died Tuesday, Sept. 16, at Stamford Hospital. She was 59. She died of cardiac arrest, according to her family. Born March 22, 1944, in Emporia, Va., she was a daughter of the late James A. and Louise Wyche Kelly. She worked as a nurse for 27 years, holding various jobs. Mrs. Brown was a member of the Greater Emmanuel Apostolic Church in Stamford, where she was church mother and president of the Home and Foreign Fields, a member of the Pastor's Aid Committee, a missionary and was involved with several other organizations in the church. She is survived by her husband, Richard A. Brown of Stamford; 12 daughters, Valerie Brown, Juledah Wilson, Lashawn Glover, Gwendolyn Griggs, all of Stamford, Sherrell England of Bridgeport, and Debra McKinney, Pamela Brown, Joyce Brown, Lanika Brown, Shanaya Brown and Kionna Brown, all of Stamford, and Anisa Lewis of Las Vegas; nine sons, Joseph Evans, Brian Brown, Efrain Brown, Richard Brown, Leslie Brown, Richard Brown III, Michael Brown and Anthony Brown, all of Stamford, and Jeffrey Brown of New Haven; four sisters, Dorothy Dixon of New Rochelle, N.Y., Loretta Christopher of Millington, Tenn., Elnora Easter of New Iberia, La., and Betty Marie Hines of Bridgeport; 35 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Barbara H. Viele Brown, a former Darien resident, died Wednesday, Oct. 1, at her Wilton home. She was 70. She died of ovarian cancer, according to her family. Born June 15, 1933, in Darien, she was the daughter of the late Harold and Marie Hynes. Known as "Bobbi," Mrs. Brown was a 1951 graduate of Darien High School and a 1953 graduate of Colby Junior College. Mrs. Brown was a longtime resident of Wilton and Preston. She was a volunteer for Wilton Public Schools and a supporter of Save the Children and Cumberland College. Mrs. Brown also was a supporter of American Indian reservations in the Midwest and Southwest and of environmental issues. She enjoyed gardening and cooking. Mrs. Brown is survived by two sons, Peter Viele of Sutton, Mass., and Alex Viele of Erdenheim, Pa.; two stepsons, Jeff Brown of San Diego, and Jordan Brown of Las Vegas; two stepdaughters, Alison Brown-Barry of San Diego and Brenda Prioletti of Naples, Fla.; two sisters, Marie Connolly of Osterville, Mass., and Judy Gould of Glenview, Ill.; and three grandchildren. She was predeceased by her first husband, Peter Viele; and her second husband, William Brown. William Vincent Bruno of New Canaan, a former Stamford resident and automobile dealer, died Sunday, Aug. 10 at Stamford Hospital. He was 72. He died of mesothelioma, according to his family. Born Vito Vincent Bruno on Sept. 24, 1930, in Brooklyn, N.Y., he was the son of Vincent "Jim" and Frances "Nitie" Inzitari Bruno of Deerfield Beach, Fla. Mr. Bruno lived in Stamford for 30 years before moving to New Canaan in 1966. He graduated from Stamford High School in 1948 and the former Delahanty Institute of New York in 1950. He became a partner in two auto dealerships in Torrington for about 30 years, retiring 10 years ago. He also was a co-owner of a shopping center in Norwalk. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed playing cards with his friends each week. He was a member of St. Mark's Episcopal Church of New Canaan and a former Vestry member of Emmanuel Episcopal Church of Springdale, where he sang in the choir and served as a lay Eucharist minister. Besides his parents, he is survived by his wife of 49 years, Marjorie Keen Bruno of New Canaan; a son, James Bruno of Darien; a daughter, Nancy Clark of Asheville, N.C.; a sister, Lucille Bruno Origi of Boca Raton, Fla.; three granddaughters and two grandsons. Lillie Mae Bryant, a longtime resident of Stamford, died Thursday, Dec. 27, at home. She was 92. She died of natural causes, according to her family. Born March 29, 1909, in Platt City, Mo., she was the daughter of the late Mary Mason. A member of Union Baptist Church in Stamford, she was also a church mother, an usher, a missionary and a member of the nurses' unit. She is survived by her ex-husband, Pearlie Bryant of Stamford; two cousins and several great nieces. She was predeceased by a son, Bill Bryant and a brother, Lester Birch. Calling hours will be from 11 a.m. to noon Wednesday, Jan. 2, at Union Baptist Church, 805 Newfield Ave., Stamford. Funeral service will be at noon on Wednesday, Jan. 2, in the church, with the Rev. Dr. Robert W. Perry officiating. Burial will follow in Woodland Cemetery, Stamford. Downer Funeral Home, Inc., 31 Stillwater Ave., Stamford is handling arrangements.
