Carol (Bentley) Hutchinson
Carol (Bentley) Hutchinson, 70, of Berlin, died Saturday, April 5, 2008 at CT Hospice in Branford.
She was the widow of Ronald Hutchinson who died in 1990. Born in New Britain, she was daughter of the late William and Hilda (Holmquist) Bentley and was a longtime Berlin resident. She graduated from Berlin High School, class of 1955, and was an administrative assistant at the Holiday Inn in Cromwell for over 10 years, retiring in 1998. Formerly, she was employed at Magson Uniform in Kensington. She was a member of the Kensington United Methodist Church and the Berlin VFW Auxiliary.
She will be remembered for her determination and perseverance to overcome any obstacle. She had a passion for life and loved to spend her free time watching UConn Basketball, taking trips to the casino and spending time with her family.
Her family would like to express special thanks to Harold Tara, MD and his staff, especially all of the Hal's Gals for there exceptional care at the Father McGivney Cancer Center and to the staff at Connecticut Hospice Home Care, particularly her loving homecare nurse Reagan F. and her beloved homecare aide Jeannette N. Heartfelt thanks to the staff at Connecticut Hospice in Branford for their ability to love and care for each patient and family.
She is survived by a son, Gerald Hutchinson and his wife Janis of Deland, Fla.; a daughter, Caron Mendillo and her husband Tom of Hamden; two grandsons, Ryan Scott Hutchinson of Orlando and Kyle Mendillo of Hamden; two sisters, Winifred Brown and her husband Earl of Southington, and Barbara Akehurst and her husband Dale of Kensington; several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband Ron, she was predeceased by three brothers, Harold, Leslie and Robert Bentley; and six sisters, LuLu Thureson, Dorothy Niles, Adeline Bacon, Edna Stempien, Shirley Burke and June Pac.
Funeral services are Wednesday, April 9, 2008 at 10 a.m. at Kensington United Methodist Church, Hotchkiss Street, Kensington. Burial will be in Maple Cemetery. Calling hours are Tuesday, April 8, 2008 5 to 8 p.m. at Carlson Funeral Home, 45 Franklin Square, New Britain.

Francine (Agostinucci) Sencio
Francine (Agostinucci) Sencio, 49, of East Berlin, the loving wife of Brian Sencio, died April 3, 2008 at The Hospital of Central Connecticut, New Britain as a result of cancer.
Born in New Britain, the daughter of Frank A. and the late Irene (Bindas) Agostinucci, she graduated from New Britain High School, was employed as a library aide at McGee Middle School, and was also the head librarian for the East Berlin Library Association. She was a member of St. Mary's Ukrainian Orthodox Church and a member of St. Olga's Sisterhood.
In addition to her husband and her father, she is survived by her daughter, Nicole Sencio, a sister and brother-in-law, Roseann and James Hannon of Thomaston, and two nephews, James and Terry Hannon.
Service will be held Tuesday, April 8, 2008 at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Ukrainian Orthodox Church. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Ukrainian Orthodox Cemetery, New Britain.
Friends and relatives are invited to call at Porter's Funeral Home, 111 Chamberlain Highway, Kensington, on Monday, April 7 from 5 to 8 p.m. A Parastas Service will be held at the funeral home on Monday at 7:30 p.m.

Ralph Joseph Andreachio
KENSINGTON – Ralph Joseph Andreachio, 82, of Spicewood Lane, the loving husband of Catherine (Charlow) Andreachio for over thirty years, died Sunday afternoon (May 4, 2003) at Bradley Memorial Hospital in Southington after an extended illness with his family at his side. Born in St. Catherine, Italy, the son of the late Nicholas and the late Josephine (Criniti) Andreachio, he grew up in New Britain, graduated from New Britain High School, attended New England Technical School and the University of Connecticut, served in the US Army 101st Air Bourne Division in WWII in Europe where he was one of the first 1000 to land at Normandy beach and where he fought in the Battle of the Bulge, was a recipient of many medals including the Purple Heart, the Bronze Star, and the Croix de Guirre, and was employed at the Industrial Hardware Division of The Stanley Works until his retirement in 1982. He was a communicant of St. Paul’s Church, a member of the Berlin Lions Club, a member and president of the Timberlin Seniors Golf Association, and a member of AARP Chapter #3035. Ralph will be remembered for his warmth, generosity, love for his family, a tireless commitment to the needs of others, and his readiness to devote himself to any cause that he became involved in. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a step-son and step-daughter-in-law, Robert and Mercede Freysinger of New Britain, a step-daughter and step-son-in-law, Geralyn and Scott Norton of Berlin, two loving and devoted sisters and brothers-in-law, Mary and Louis Esernia, and Rose and Jack Wollman, all of Kensington, four grandchildren, Peter and Michael Freysinger, and Ryan and Meghan Norton, and several loving and devoted nieces and nephews including Bruce Angeli and his wife Mary, Marlene Demma and her husband Michael, and Dennis and Anthony Esernia, all who were like children to him. He was predeceased by a son, Don Andreachio. Funeral services will be held Thursday (May 8, 2003) at 9am from Porter’s Funeral Home, 111 Chamberlain Highway in Kensington, with a Funeral Liturgy at 10am at St. Paul’s Church on Alling Street. Burial with full military honors will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, New Britain. Friends and relatives are invited to call at the funeral home on Wednesday (May 7, 2003) from 5-8pm. The Berlin Lions Club meet for a service at 7pm. Rose Marie (Simeone) Accarpio
KENSINGTON – Rose Marie (Simeone) Accarpio, 85, of 50 Kenwood Street, widow of Corrado “Curly” Accarpio, died Sunday (August 18, 2002) at New Britain General Hospital. Born in Berlin, the daughter of the late Anthony and the late Elizabeth (Santa Maria) Simeone, she attended local schools, and was a life long member of St. Paul’s Church. A beloved wife and mother, she is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Elizabeth A. Martin of Newington, and Rose Marie and Ralph Beveridge of Kensington, a son and daughter-in-law, Dominick and Linda Accarpio of Southington, two brothers, Patrick and Anthony Simeone, both in Florida, six grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by a son, Joseph M. Accarpio. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday (August 21, 2002) at 9am from Porter’s Funeral Home, 111 Chamberlain Highway in Kensington, followed by a Funeral Liturgy at 10am St. Paul’s Church on Alling Street. Gerald “Jerry” Albert
NEW BRITAIN – Gerald “Jerry” Albert, 71, of New Britain, husband of Lucille (Guerrette) Albert, died Friday afternoon (December 27, 2002) at New Britain General Hospital. Born in Eagle Lake, Maine, he was employed at Fafnir Bearing Company, and did television repair work. He was a member of St. Maurice Church, and loved to play the guitar, formerly playing the lead with Jerry and the New Englanders. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son and his companion, Gary Albert and Brenda Madore of Bristol, a daughter and son-in-law, Carlene and Peter Szestakow of Southington, a daughter-in-law, Colleen Albert of Southington, three sisters, Mary Menard in Florida, and Jackie Labbe and Verna Desjardin, both in Maine, a step-sister, Marie L. Osden of Newington, a step-brother, Nelson Guimond of New Britain, three grandsons, Paul, Peter, and Jason Albert, three granddaughters, Danielle, Leann, and Chantel Szestakow, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son, James Albert on December 2, 1998, and three sisters. Funeral services will be held Tuesday (December 31, 2002) at 10am from Porter’s Funeral Home, 111 Chamberlain Highway in Kensington, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11am at St. Maurice Church, 100 Wightman Road, New Britain. Patricia M. Alkas
Patricia M. Alkas, 61, of Woodbridge, Virginia, for the past twenty-five years, a native of Berlin, died Monday (November 4, 2002) in Virginia. The daughter of the late Amejian and Josephine Alkas, she attended Berlin schools, and was employed as a nurses aide. She is survived by a beloved companion, George Ayoob, four sons and three daughters-in-law, Robert and Shelli Brauer, David Brauer, Dennis and Nancy Brauer, all of Woodbridge, and Fredrick and Julie Brauer of Paw Paw, Michigan, three brothers and sisters-in-law, David and Paula Alkas of Kensington, Ed and Nancy Alkas Spring Lake North Carolina, and Fred and Kathy Alkas of Kensington, one sister and brother-in-law, Irene and Donald Woitowitz of Plainville, four grandchildren, Bethany, Sara, and Jayden Brauer, and Carlton Walker, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by a brother George Alkas. A private graveside service will be held in South Burying Ground, Kensington, at the convenience of the family. Ruth (Foster) Anderson
KENSINGTON – Ruth (Foster) Anderson, 88, of 117 Alling Street, the widow of C. Edward “Ned” Anderson, died late Friday night (September 27, 2002) at New Britain General Hospital. Born in New Britain, the daughter of the late Hollis J. Foster Sr. and the late Gertrude (Marvin) Foster, she graduated from New Britain High School, from New Britain General Hospital School of Nursing, and then took some post-graduate courses at Children’s Hospital in Philadelphia. She was the head nurse in Pediatrics at New Britain General Hospital, and was employed at Ledgecrest Convalescent Home, Ridgeview Convalescent Home, Berlin Public Nursing, and Berlin High School. She was a member of Kensington Congregational Church where she was a member of the Women’s Service League, and Berlin Graduate Nursing. She is survived by three daughters and a son-in-law, Marvin “Trudy” Blakesly of Ivoryton, Susan Anderson of North Dighton, Massachusetts, and Jane and Michael Hubbard of Newington, a sister, Barbara Barnes of Charleston, Rhode Island, two granddaughters and their husbands, Jennifer and Joseph Kareivis, and Rebecca and Thomas Skinner, several nieces and nephews, a dedicated caregiver, Stella Klimas, and her two beloved cats, Muffin and Blueberry. She was predeceased by her brother, Dr. Hollis J. Foster Jr. A funeral service will be held Tuesday (October 1, 2002) at 12 noon at Kensington Congregational Church. Burial will follow in Maple Cemetery, Berlin. Friends and relatives are invited to call at Porter’s Funeral Home, 111 Chamberlain Highway, Kensington, on Tuesday from 11am until the departure to church.
