Sheena Muscato, 28, mother of local children
Sheena America Muscato, 28, of Waterbury died May 17 as the result of a car accident.
Ms. Muscato was born July 13, 1974, in Danbury, a daughter of Carole Faust of Danbury and the late Glen Muscato.
She was raised in Redding, where she attended local schools. As a youngster, she was a Brownie, a Girl Scout and a Rainbow Girl. She was a 1993 graduate of Bethel High School.
Ms. Muscato was a CNA at Danbury Hospital, a manager at Arby’s restaurant in Waterbury, and a salesperson for the Sky Bar Ice Cream Co.
Besides her mother, she is survived by two sons, Kenneth Damo Jr. of New York and Zachary Steinhauser of New Milford; a daughter, Larissa Steinhauser of New Milford; a brother, Randy Faust of Bethel; three sisters, Melanie of Newtown and Rachel and Ruth Faust of Waterbury; 11 half brothers and sisters; two stepfathers, Rufus Youngblood and Randy Faust Sr.; and several aunts and uncles.
Her funeral service will be held today (Friday) at 8 p.m. at the Bethel Funeral Home, 215 Greenwood Ave., Bethel. A gathering of friends will be held at the funeral home today from 6 p.m. until the time of the service.
Contributions may be made to the family for the benefit of the children in care of Carole Faust, 118 East Liberty St., Danbury, CT 06810.

Nicholas Karoly, 80, was a New Milford resident
Nicholas S. Karoly, 80, of New Milford died May 18 in Danbury Hospital. He was the widower of Dorothy (Bosak) Karoly.
Mr. Karoly was born in Bridgeport, son of the late Steve and Mary (Csojika) Karoly.
He resided in Trumbull for over 30 years before moving to New Milford five years ago.
He was a World War II U.S. Army veteran and a former member of the Knights of Columbus. He worked as an auto body mechanic for over 50 years at various dealerships.
Mr. Karoly is survived by a son, Douglas Onderko and his wife Barbara of New Milford; a grandson, Timothy Onderko; and several nieces and nephews.
The Pistey Funeral Home of Stratford was in charge of arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to The American Cancer Society, 372 Danbury Road, Wilton, CT 06897-2523.

Priscilla Chisholm, 88, longtime New Milford resident
Priscilla Alden Chisholm, 88, of New Milford died May 20 at New Milford Nursing Home. She was the widow of Donald A. Chisholm.
Mrs. Chisholm was born Aug. 22, 1914, in Spencer, Mass., a daughter of the late Albert and Martha (Putnam) Blanchard. She was a direct descendant of John and Priscilla Alden.
She had been a resident of New Milford since 1957. She was employed by the New Milford Saving Bank as an administrative assistant for 21 years before retiring at the age 65.
Mrs. Chisholm was an active member of the New Milford United Methodist Church and was the church organist/pianist for over 30 years. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star. She loved animals and enjoyed traveling, having visited Hawaii, Europe and the Middle East.
She is survived by two sons, Albert of Milton, Mass., and Frederick of Fayetteville, N.C.; a daughter, Martha McMahon of New Milford; nine grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, Jon.
The Colonial Funeral Home of New Milford was in charge of arrangements.

Carol Marshall, 69, was a resident of Roxbury
Carol J. Marshall, 69, of Roxbury died May 26 after a long illness. She was the wife of Milton Marshall.
Mrs. Marshall was born Sept. 11, 1933, in Ypsilanti, Mich., the daughter of the late Guy I. and Murial G. Smith. She was raised in Belleville, Mich., and graduated from Belleville High School in 1951.
Prior to moving to Connecticut in 1968, she lived in New York City and worked for American Airlines.
Her most recent position was president of Capital Aviation, Inc., a family-owned flight school and air charter operation at Waterbury-Oxford Airport. She retired in 2000.
Besides her husband, Mrs. Marshall is survived by five daughters, Stephanie Lynn Weaver and her husband Mark of Wauwatosa, Wisc., Michelle Ann Orser and her husband Terry of Royal Oak, Mich., Lynn Ann Gorman and her husband Russell of Bethlehem, Kimberly Ann Chandler and her husband Major Steven Chandler of Langley Air Force Base, Va., and Kathie Lynn Leonzi and her husband Thomas of Woodbury; two sons, Richard Akans II of Ypsilanti and Navy Commander John Marshall of Virginia Beach, Va.; 12 grandchildren, Chad Akans, Elizabeth and Kristin Byrdak, Samuel and Benjamin Weaver, Wesley and Evan Chandler, Russell Gorman Jr., Erika Allen, Jacqueline Gorman, and Alexis Lynn and Thomas John Leonzi III; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers, John and Lorraine Smith.
A celebration of life will be held tomorrow (Saturday) at 11 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, Route 7, New Milford. A private burial will take place at the convenience of the family.
The Carpino Funeral Home in Southbury is in charge of the arrangements.

William Dinneen Sr., 86, brother of local woman
William Alfred Dinneen Sr., 86, of Popple Swamp Road, Cornwall Bridge, died May 21 at New Milford Hospital. He was the husband of Ursula (Hepprich) Dinneen.
Mr. Dinneen was born Jan. 22, 1917, in Cornwall Bridge, son of the late James and Bertha (Priest) Dinneen.
He was educated in Cornwall and served in the Army for two years during World War II in the Pacific theater with the 615th Engineering Company.
He served as treasurer for the town of Cornwall for many years and was a lifetime member of the Cornwall Fire Department.
Mr. Dinneen was a charter member of the VFW Post No. 9856 and was a longtime communicant of St. Peter’s Evangelical Church.
Besides his wife, he is survived by a son, William Jr.; a sister, Alice Chappius of Warren; and three grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held tomorrow (Saturday) at 11 a.m. at the Dinneen residence, 102 Popple Swamp Road, Cornwall Bridge. All other services are private.
The Kenny Funeral Home of Sharon is in charge of arrangements.

Mary F. Campbell, former resident of Roxbury
Mary Feather Campbell of Roxbury died May 11.
Mrs. Campbell was born in 1936 in Las Cruces, N.M., to and Adlai and Ilka (Howells) Feather.
She was educated in the United States, Italy and France and worked as a translator, business manager and, ultimately, as a master gardener.
Mrs. Campbell is survived by a daughter, Kellie, and her beloved pets, Ti, Bernie, Toby, Sara, Buster, Uma, Diddle, Lola, Cat, Daschel and Minette, who, along with Najma Kadosh, were near her bedside when she died.
She is also survived by her siblings, Ilka Minter of Mesilla Park, N.M., Frank and Virginia Feather of Albuquerque, N.M., and Gertrude Anderson of England; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Vincent.
A celebration of her life will take place June 7 at 3 p.m. at the First Congregational Church in Washington.

Helen Miller, 71, was mother of New Milford man
Helen P. Miller, 71, of Southbury died May 24 at Danbury Hospital. She was the widow of Stanley B. Miller Sr.
Mrs. Miller was born Sept. 7, 1931, in Carmel, N.Y., daughter of the late James and Mabel (Dawson) Smith.
She is survived by three sons, Stanley Jr. of High Point, N.C., Dennis of New Milford and Marvin of Southbury; a daughter, Heidi Riley of Southbury; a brother, James Smith Jr. of Pawling, N.Y.; a sister, Kathleen Campell of Jericho, Vt.; and nine grandchildren.
The Beecher Funeral Home of Brewster, N.Y., was in charge of arrangements.

Marguerite Haskell, 87, was a native of Kent
Marguerite (Watts) (Ackerman) Haskell, 87, of 25 Maple St., Kent, died May 22 at the Kent Specialty Care Facility. She was the widow of Raymond D. “Tommy” Ackerman and William Haskell.
Mrs. Haskell was born April 14, 1916, in Kent, daughter of the late Charles and Annie (Decker) Watts.
She had worked at Kent School, retiring in 1983.
She was a member of the Kent Grange, the Stellar Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star, St. Andrew’s Church of Kent and former president of the American Legion Auxiliary, Jennings Post No. 153.
Mrs. Haskell is survived by a stepson, John of Kent; two stepdaughters, Edith Gerat and Olive Goddard of Cornwall; two brothers, Arthur Watts of Sharon and Russell Watts of New Milford; two sisters, Clara Murphy of Norwich, N.Y., and Marion Adams of Kent; four grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, Donald Ackerman Sr.

Ann LaDelfa, 75, was mother of New Milford man
Ann J. LaDelfa, 75, of Ridgefield died May 24 at her home. She was the widow of Philip I. LaDelfa.
Mrs. LaDelfa was born Dec. 2, 1927, in Rochester, N.Y., a daughter of the late Carlo and Catherine (Bartolevich) DeBellis.
She attended Rochester schools and graduated from Madison High School of Rochester, Class of 1945.
She was a resident of Ridgefield since 1977, coming from Yardley, Pa. She was a member of the food service staff at Union Carbide in Danbury before retiring in 1989.
She was a member of St. Mary’s Church of Ridgefield.
Mrs. LaDelfa was a strong advocate for the needs of children and recently was awarded a certificate by Feed the Children World Organization of Oklahoma City in recognition of her work.
She is survived by two sons, Philip and his wife Sharon of New Milford, and Christopher and his wife Kristina of Moorestown, N.J.; three daughters, Kathy West and her husband Miles of Brownville, N.Y., Joanne Motta and her husband Burton, and her caregiver, Pamela Carpenter of Ridgefield; two brothers, Joseph DeBellis and his wife Joyce and Salvatore DeBellis and his wife Rita of Rochester, N.Y.; 11 grandchildren, Michael, Olivia, Matthew, Grace and Peter LaDelfa, and Justin and Kristen West, and Blaise and Carly Motta, and Jennifer and Nicholas Carpenter; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by three brothers, Vincent, Anthony and John DeBellis, and a sister, Mary Jane D’Andreano.

William McCarthy Jr., 61, lived in New Preston
William J. McCarthy Jr., 61, of 38 Mygatt Road, New Preston, died May 23. He was the husband of Patricia (Morris) McCarthy.
Mr. McCarthy was born July 16, 1941, in the Bronx, N.Y., a son of Anna (Anderson) McCarthy of Port St. Lucie, Fla., and the late William McCarthy Sr.
He attended Cardinal Hays High School in New York before moving to Roxbury, when he transferred as a senior to the former Washington High School. He owned and operated McCarthy Electrical Services for over 20 years.
Besides his wife and his mother, Mr. McCarthy is survived by two daughters, Kim DeWitt of Dunedin, Fla., and Shae Noone and her husband Lawrence of New Milford; two sons, William and his wife Jayne of Kent and Tyler of Greenwich; six grandchildren, Austin DeWitt of Dunedin, Bria and Mallory Noone of New Milford, and Brendan, Devin and Tristan of Kent; and a brother, Tom of Port St. Lucie.
