Anthony Morelli, 85, was father of New Milfordite
Anthony V. Morelli, 85, of Port Richey, Fla., formerly of Crestwood, N.Y., died July 18 at Haven Hospice, Edison, N.J. He was the husband of Rose (Piro) Morelli.
Mr. Morelli was born Aug. 9, 1917, in Bayonne, N.J., son of Joseph and Agatina (Citelli) Morelli.
He attended schools in the Bronx and served in the United States Navy during World War II.
He retired in 1974 as a linotype operator from Leman Printing in New York City. He was a lifetime member of the American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He served as commander of the American Legion John Dunbar Post No. 1125 and the VFW Empire Post No. 375 in Yonkers, N.Y. He was also a member of the Royal Arcanum.
Besides his wife, Mr. Morelli is survived by two sons, Joseph of Singer Island, Fla., and John of Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.; three daughters, Agatha Beary of New Milford, Annette Santilli of Metuchen, N.J., and Carole Kozloski of Palm Beach Gardens; 10 grandchildren, Mark and Lauren Beary, Kristin Cavanaugh, Pamela and Melissa Santilli, Christopher Weimer, and Michael, Brian, Stephanie and Karyn; and a great-grandson, Oliver. He was predeceased by a granddaughter, Antonia.
The Fred H. McGrath & Son Funeral Home of Bronxville, N.Y., was in charge of arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Haven Hospice, c/o The JFK Medical Center Foundation, 80 James St., Edison, NJ 08818-9972.

Robert Druckreier, 78, father of New Milford man
Robert H. Druckreier, 78, of Terryville, formerly of Patterson, N.Y., died July 16 at his summer home in Saratoga, N.Y. He was the widower of Rita (McKenna) Druckreier.
Mr. Druckreier was born May 4, 1925, in Kingston, N.Y., to Henry and Alice (Ricketson) Druckreier.
He worked as a heavy equipment operator for the Putnam County Highway Department in New York for 25 years, retiring in 1989. He was also an honorary member of the Putnam Lake Fire Department.
Mr. Druckreier is survived by four daughters, Barbara Dell’Angelo of New Fairfield, Christine Power of Dover Plains, N.Y., Deborah Smith of Putnam Lake and Anne Marie Coderre of Terryville; two sons, Robert of New Milford and Michael of Dover Plains; a sister, Beatrice Parent of Brewster, N.Y.; a brother, Donald of Dover Plains; 19 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
The Beecher Funeral Home of Brewster handled arrangements.

Walter A. Nuremberg, 77, New Milfordites’ brother
Walter A. Nuremberg, 77, of 147 Higgins Road, Cheshire, died July 10 at St. Raphael’s Hospital, New Haven. He was the husband of Rose (Casanova) Nuremberg.
Mr. Nuremberg was the son of the late Count Hugh Nuremberg and Eva (Brandt) Brophy.
He was a World War II Navy veteran and worked for United Illuminating for 17 years. He later was a self-employed management consultant until his retirement.
Besides his wife, Mr. Nuremberg is survived by two daughters, Karen Tranquilli and Ilona Sansone of Cheshire; a son, Walter of New Haven; a brother, Hugh of New Milford; a sister, Ilona Farrell of New Milford; eight grandchildren, Kimberly and Janet Tranquilli, Jennifer Lee, Thomas and Michael Sansone, and Kara, Walter and Eric; and a great-granddaughter.
The Maresca & Sons Funeral Home of New Haven was in charge of arrangements.

John M. Kositch, 60, father of New Milford man
John M. Kositch, 60, of New Fairfield died July 17.
Mr. Kositch was born Aug. 11, 1942, in New York City, the son of John Kositch and Ruth (McMaster) Dunham.
He worked as a carpenter and was a member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners, Local 11 in Hawthorne, N.Y.
Mr. Kositch is survived by three sons, John Jr. of Danbury, Andrew of New Milford and Jason of New Fairfield; a daughter, Melissa of New Fairfield; seven brothers, Thomas Dunham, Gary Dunham and Wayne Dunham of Florida, Frank Dunham of New Jersey, Craig Dunham of Brewster, N.Y., Peter Dunham of Ohio, and Andrew Dunham of Alabama; six sisters, Mary Smith of New Fairfield, Joan Arok of Bronx, Barbara Knetge, RuthAnn Anderson, Susie Crowthers and Linda Tardif of Florida; two grandchildren, John III and Jillian of Danbury; and many nieces and nephews.
The Beecher Funeral Home of Brewster was in charge of the arrangements.

Iona Curr, had been a New Milford resident
Iona Curr of New Milford died July 19 at her home. She was the wife of Paul Curr.
Besides her husband, she is survived by seven children, Charlotte Havanick and her husband William, Kenneth Wildman and his wife Nancy, Joyce Ross and Betty Barata of Danbury, Rose Knoche and her husband Robert of Chazy Lake, N.Y., Raymond Wildman Jr. of Wingdale, N.Y., and Beverly Burke and David Reiske of Ocala Fla.; a sister, Jane Joseph and her husband Cleo of Danbury; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two sons, Thomas and Ronald Wildman.

Gloria Laudano, 70, was mother of New Milfordite
Gloria Laudano, 70, of Boynton Beach, Fla., died July 11. She was the widow of Andrew Laudano.
She had been a resident of Boynton Beach for 30 years. She attended the Unity Church of Delray Beach, Fla.
Mrs. Laudano is survived by a daughter, Sue Randolph and her husband Chris of New Milford; three sons, Dennis Kluge and his wife Gail of South Berwick, Maine, Robert Kluge and his wife Gail of Morris, and Thomas Kluge and his wife Sherry of Kingsville, Ohio; seven grandchildren, Kristi and Melissa Randolph, and Monica, Derich, Tyler, Justin and Brandon Kluge; a brother, Paul MacMichael of Tacoma, Wash.; a sister, Beth Switser of Naugatuck; two nephews; and her cat, Callie.
The Boynton Memorial Chapel of Boynton Beach was in charge of arrangements.

Pauline Johnson, 81, mother of New Milfordites
Pauline (Joyce) Johnson, 81, of 105 Housatonic Ave., New Milford, died July 21 at her home. She was the widow of John Wojciechowski and William H. Johnson.
Mrs. Johnson was born June 11, 1922, in New Milford, daughter of the late George and Ruth (Chadwick) Joyce.
She was employed with Nestlé Corp. in New Milford, retiring after 25 years of service. She spent her entire life in New Milford.
Mrs. Johnson is survived by three sons, John Wojciechowski of East Bridgewater, Mass., Richard Wojciechowski of New Milford and William Jr. of New Fairfield; a daughter, Audrey Peck of New Milford; two sisters, Helen Mitchell of New York and Dorothy Pflomm of Brookfield; 10 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, William Joyce, and two sisters, Hazel Pudelka and Barbara Thomas.
The Lillis Funeral Home of New Milford was in charge of arrangements.

Hermine Reitmeier, 91, was New Milford resident
Hermine Reitmeier, 91, of 10 Papermill Road, New Milford, died July 22 at Candlewood Valley Health & Rehabilitation Center.
She was the wife of the late Ludwig Reitmeier. She moved to New Milford in 2000 to live with her daughter.
Mrs. Reitmeier was born Oct. 2, 1911, in Germany, daughter of the late Ludwig and Emma (Schmitt) Hubert. She came to this country in 1927 and lived in Mt. Vernon, N.Y. She was employed as a governess in private homes in Westchester County.
Mrs. Reitmeier is survived by a son, Robert Reitmeier of Blackstone, Va.; a daughter, Sandra Ross of New Milford; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held today (Friday) at 11:30 a.m. at Center Cemetery in New Milford.
The Lillis Funeral Home in New Milford is in charge of the arrangements.

Patricia Betolatti, 70, was mother of local man
Patricia M. Betolatti, 70, of Liberty Avenue, Danbury, died July 19 at her home. She was the wife of Charles Betolatti.
Mrs. Betolatti was born Feb. 13, 1933, in Stamford, daughter of Catherine (Puskarczyk) Preissel of Enfield and the late Alfred J. Pinet. She was a graduate of Danbury High School.
Besides her husband and mother, Mrs. Betolatti is survived by four sons, Paul of Danbury, Charlie of New Preston, Robert and his wife Holly of Brookfield, and Jim and his wife Belinda of New Fairfield; a daughter, Patricia of Danbury; two sisters, Barbara Santpopolo of Danbury and Sally Sargeant of Somers; six grandchildren; a great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, David.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated today (Friday) at 10 a.m. at St. Peter Church, Danbury. Burial will follow in St. Peter Cemetery.

Jane E. Earley, 56, daughter of Roxbury woman
Jane Eaton (Miller) Earley, 56, of 35 East Mountain Village Road, Waterbury, died July 17 at her home. She was the former wife of William A. Earley.
Mrs. Earley was born July 30, 1946, in Stamford, daughter of Helen (Belomyzy) Miller of Roxbury and the late David Eaton Miller.
She graduated from Washington High School and lived in Cheshire for many years before moving to Waterbury. She was the owner of Terese Answering Service in Waterbury. She was a member of Christ Church Episcopal in Roxbury.
Besides her mother, Mrs. Earley is survived by a daughter, Diana of Washington, D.C.; two sisters, Barbara Miller of Kent and Laurie Miller of Bridgewater; and a grandson, Peter of Cheshire. She was predeceased by a son, Peter.
The Slater Funeral Home of Cheshire was in charge of arrangements.

John Waterhouse Sr., 78, father of local resident
John Henry Waterhouse Sr., 78, of Canaan died July 16 at John Dempsey Hospital, Farmington. He was the husband of Barbara (Cacciotti) Waterhouse and the widower of Jean (Wallace) Waterhouse.
Mr. Waterhouse was born Aug. 16, 1924, in Norwalk, son of the late John and Tillie Waterhouse.
He was retired from Hocon Gas in Norwalk. He was a member of the American Legion and VFW in Norwalk and Bethel and the Eagles Lodge in Norwalk.
Besides his wife, Mr. Waterhouse is survived by a son, John Jr. of New Preston; four stepsons, Xavier Pia Jr. of Yorktown Heights, N.Y., Kenneth and Peter Pia of Norwalk, and Vincent Pia of Danbury; a sister, Alice Neville of Danbury; five grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his first wife, Jean Wallace Waterhouse.

Richard Bouton, 68, was former Zoning member
Richard Bouton, 68, of 78 South Kent Road, New Milford, died July 21 at his home. He was the husband of Margaret (Romard) Bouton.
Mr. Bouton was born April 2, 1935, in New York, N.Y., son of the late George and Hazel (Jakes) Bouton.
He owned and operated Rainbow Appliances for 25 years, retiring in 2000.
He was a member of the Gaylordsville United Methodist Church and the Gaylordsville Civil Association. He also was a former member of the New Milford Zoning Commission and the New Milford Democratic Town Committee.
Besides his wife, Mr. Bouton is survived by a son, Edward of Goshen; two daughters, Donna of Warren and Denise Dechellis of Gaylordsville; three brothers, Albert of Staten Island, N.Y., Robert of Fort Smith, Ark., and William of Port St. Lucie, Fla.; a sister, Eleanor Markowicz of Long Island, N.Y.; two grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Rita C. Bouley, 87, was mother of Roxbury man
Rita C. (Tavernier) Bouley, 87, of 395 Mendon Road, North Smithfield, R.I., died July 21 at the Saint Antoine Residence, North Smithfield. She was the widow of Eugene E. Bouley Sr.
Mrs. Bouley was born Sept. 16, 1915, in Woonsocket, R.I., the daughter of the late Ernest A. and Roseanna (Denoyelle) Tavernier.
She was a graduate of Woonsocket High School, Class of 1932. She was a CNA for 17 years at The Ballou Home for the Aged, retiring in 1989. She also owned and operated the Globe Fish and Chips in the Globe Mill Village of Woonsocket for over 30 years.
Mrs. Bouley is survived by three sons, Dr. Eugene Bouley Jr. of Milledgeville, Ga., Ernest of North Smithfield and Edward of Roxbury; five grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; two sisters, Eugenie Paulhus of Harrisville, R.I., and Louise Robillard of Woonsocket.
The funeral will be held today (Friday) at 9 a.m. from the Keene-Brown Funeral Home, 445 Greenville Road, North Smithfield, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at Saint John the Evangelist Church, 63 Church St., Slatersville, R.I. Burial will be at Saint Charles Cemetery, in Blackstone, Mass.
