Elmer Saunders, 71, Salvation Army member
Elmer Saunders, 71, of 90 Park St., New Haven, died May 28 at his home.
He was born in Norwalk, April 24, 1927, a son of Alberto and Ethel Bennett Saunders Albanesi.
He served during World War II in the United States Army Air Force.
Mr. Saunders worked for NAPA Auto Parts and was a member of the Salvation Army.
He is survived by two brothers, Alan of New Milford and Victor Albanesi of Danbury; three sisters, Dolores Mormon of Danbury, Arrine Swears of Bridgeport and Alicia Usack of Florida; a sister-in-law, Donna Shue of Naugatuck; and several nieces and nephews.
The Tomlinson Homestead, Danbury, is in charge of the arrangements.
Harry L. Carroll, 79, born in New Milford
Harry L. Carroll, 79, formerly of Bethel, died May 24, in Lantana, Fl.
He was the husband of Edna M. Carroll of Lantana.
Mr. Carroll was born in New Milford, Oct. 10, 1918.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Dennis Carroll of Oakville; two daughters, Tina Toussaint of New Milford and Susan Hallman of Brookfield; and four grandchildren.
Ronald S. Davis, 77, father of resident
Ronald S. Davis, 77, of Danbury died May 28 at his home following a lengthy illness.
He was the husband of Marjorie Golder Davis.
Mr. Davis was born in Danbury, March 11, 1921, a son of G. Harold and Xe Sands Davis. He graduated from Danbury High School in 1938 and served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II from 1940 through 1946 in the Pacific theater and the Aleutian Islands.
He was employed by Avco-Lycoming in Stratford for 32 years, retiring in April of 1983.
Mr. Davis was an active member of the Advent Christian Church and served as treasurer.
Besides his wife of 47 years, Mr. Davis is survived by three daughters, Cynthia S. Lathrop of Waltham, Mass., Penny Fay Wasylyk of Yardsville, N.J., and Valerie Barkal of New Milford; a son, Jonathan Clay Davis of Danbury; three brothers, Robert G. Davis of Bethel, Hubert A. Davis of Danbury and Jerrold H. Davis of Deland, Fla.; 12 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Ruth Ann Commins, 58, resident's mother
Ruth Ann Commins, 58, of 5 East Starrs Plain Road, Danbury, died at her home June 1.
Mrs. Commins was born in Danbury, Dec., 19, 1939, a daughter of the late Manuel Machado and Leona Zeneski Machado McHenry. She was a graduate of Danbury High School.
Mrs. Commins had worked for many years at the Pepperidge Farm Store, formerly located on Route 7 in Danbury. She was a lifetime Danbury resident.
Besides her husband, she is survived by three sons, John J. Jr. and Joseph A., both of Danbury, and Edward J. of New Milford; and a sister, Terri Smith of Bethel.
Funeral services will be held today (Friday) at Green Funeral Home, 57 Main St., Danbury, at 9 a.m. Burial will take place in St. Peter Cemetery, Danbury.
Friends may call at the funeral home today from 8 to 9 a.m.

Jules Kraft, 72, was World War II veteran
Jules Kraft, 72, a 20-year resident of Bridgewater, died May 26 at Mt. Sinai Hospital in New York City after a long illness.
Mr. Kraft was a member of the City Athletic Club, president and owner of Excelsior Import, a firm specializing in the imports of fabrics, and a graduate of New York University. He was also a World War II veteran, an avid water-skier and squash player.
He is survived by his wife, Susan; three children, Neil, Ronald and Susan; and four grandchildren.

Anne M. Boden, 79, was resident of Sherman
Anne M. Boden, 79, of 18 Mauweehoo Hill, Sherman, and wife of John C. Boden, died May 30 at Geer Center, Canaan.
She was born in Cranston, R.I., May 31, 1918, a daughter of Alexander and Ada Burgess Johnston.
Mrs. Boden lived in Sherman for 31 years and was employed by Salstrom Farm Equipment in Connecticut. She also worked part-time for the Sherman Library and was a member of the First Congregational Church in Sherman.
Besides her husband, she is survived by a niece, Cindy McCarthy of South Carolina; and a nephew, Greg Hammond of Stamford.

Paul J. Boucher, 64, Eagles Lodge member
Paul Joseph Boucher, 64, of 37 Hillside Avenue in New Milford, died July 16 at his home.
Mr. Boucher was born Dec. 3, 1933 in St. Gabriel, Stratford, Canada, son of the late William and Alfonsine Bernier Boucher.
He attended schools in Stratford, Quebec, and Henry Abbott Regional Vocational School in Danbury.
He worked for Local 210 of the Carpenters Union for 35 years and was a member of the Eagles Lodge for more than 20 years.
He is survived by two sons, Marcel Boucher and Paul Boucher Jr., both of New York; a daughter, Laurie Abucewicz of Bristol; five brothers, Andrea Boucher of Danbury, Mark Boucher and Yvonne Boucher, both of St. George, Quebec, Fransios Boucher of Bethel and Benoid Boucher of Plainville; two sisters, Aline Adams and Carmon Boucher, both of St. George, Quebec; several grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Helen Drouin, 73, mother of New Milfordite
Helen Madeline Quirion Drouin, 73, died at Mediplex in Danbury July 14 after a long illness.
She was the wife of the late Roland Drouin.
Mrs. Drouin was born June 24, 1925, in St. Philibert County, Beauce, Quebec, Canada, daughter of the late Emile and Jeannette Morin Quirion. The family moved to Danbury in 1965.
Her heart's desire was to be surrounded by her children.
She is survived by a son, Gaston Drouin of New Milford; two daughters, Marcelline LaChance of Danbury, Linda Lamontange of Southbury and Doris Poirier of Danbury; three sisters, Flaurette Breton of Quebec, Annette Dulac and Anita Doyon, both of St. George de Beauce, Quebec, Canada; her grandchildren, Paul Drouin, Steven Lamontange, Nancy Lamontagne, Mario and Richard Poirier, Dorothy and Jennifer LaChance. She was predeceased by a grandson, Kenneth LaChance.
A private service will take place in St. George de Beauce at the convenience of the family.

John S. Hogenauer, 78, father of residents
John S. Hogenauer, 78, a retired machine operator at Bodine Corp. of Bridgeport, died July 16 at Yale New Haven Hospital.
He was the husband of Margaret Scholan Hogenauer. He lived at 9 Quaker Lane in Newtown.
He was born in Bridgeport, Sept. 20, 1919, the son of the late Alfred and Helene Speckle Hogenauer. He was a resident of Newtown for 39 years.
Besides his wife, he is survived by four sons, Edward of New Milford, Alfred of Idaho, John of New Milford and Robert of California; one daughter, Margaret Velthizen of Newtown; a twin brother, Robert of Spring Hill, Fla.; 10 grandchildren; one great-grandson; and several nieces and nephews.

Maryann J. Measles, 14, Schaghticoke student
Maryann Jeanine Measles, 14, of New Milford, died in Bridgewater.
She was born March 22, 1984 in Sharon, daughter of Cynthia Larmore Measles of New Milford and the late Martin Linnell Measles. She was a seventh grader at Schaghticoke Middle School during the last school year.
She attended the Awana Club and Bible Baptist Church in New Milford and was a junior volunteer at Geer Memorial Nursing Home in Canaan.
Besides her mother, she is survived by three sisters, Jennifer, Victoria and Chelsea, all of New Milford; her maternal grandparents, Mary and Merton Larmore Jr. of Port Henry, N.Y.; her maternal great-grandmother, Irene Card of Canaan; and her paternal grandmother of California.

Larry Joseph Storti, 65, Korean War veteran
Larry Joseph Storti, 65, of 8 East Buck's Rock Road, New Milford, died July 16 at his home.
He was the husband of Shirley Mack Storti. He lived in New Milford since 1968.
Mr. Storti was born June 25, 1933 in Burlington, Vt. He spent his early life in Burlington and was a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the U.S. Marines.
He had been employed by Acorn Press in Ridgefield from 1960 to 1983 and was presently employed as a warehouse manager for Akzo Nobel in Monroe.
Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons, Anthony Storti of Harwinton and William Storti of Torrington; four daughters, Shannon Beatty of Sherman, Laurie Murnane of Torrington, Elisabeth McGavic and Sabrina Storti, both of New Milford; and five grandchildren.
