William R. Moschello, 44, had been a machinist
William R. Moschello, 44, died April 16 at his home on Ironworks Hill Road, Brookfield. He was the husband of Patricia A. (LeRoux) Moschello.
Mr. Moschello was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., July 28, 1935, son of the late Frederick J. and Philamena (Carafano) Moschello.
He received his early education in Brooklyn, moved to Norwalk and then Danbury and 34 years ago settled in Brookfield.
He was a retired machinist for R.F.M. Farrell in New Milford for 13 years. He attended St. Joseph Church in Brookfield and was a Third Degree Knight of Columbus, Council 46, in Norwalk.
Besides his wife, Mr. Moschello is survived by four daughters, Deborah B. Moschello and Sharon A. Kearney, both of Brookfield, Selina C. Moschello of Danbury and Kimberly A. Branca of Ronkonkoma, N.Y.; three grandchildren, Nicole and Brittany Kearney and Ronald Branca; a sister, Patricia Jurgiewicz of Redding; and several nieces and nephews.
The Cornell Memorial Home of Danbury was in charge of arrangements.

Stanley Osuch, 84, longtime New Milford resident
Stanley William Osuch, 84, of 6 Catherine St., New Milford, died April 14 at New Milford Nursing Home.
Mr. Osuch was born April 12, 1916, in Stamford, son of the late Sczhepan and Sophie (Oreenski) Osuch.
He was a longtime New Milford resident and an Army veteran of World War II. He worked at Arthur Zumpf Painting Co., retiring after many years.
Mr. Osuch is survived by a daughter, Helen Edmonds of Salisbury, Mass.; three brothers, Charles Osuch of Cornwall and Vincent and Stephen Osuch of New Milford; and three sisters, Katherine Volinski, Mary Gawel and Stella Tencza, all of New Milford.
A memorial mass will be held today (Friday) at 11 a.m. at St. Francis Xavier Church. Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery.

Joseph S. Antoni, 89, was born in Bridgewater
Joseph Stephen Antoni, 89, of 92 Hat Shop Hill Road, Bridgewater, died April 13 at his home. He was the husband of Irene (Staron) Antoni.
Mr. Antoni was born in Bridgewater Feb. 1, 1911, a son of the late Stephen and Mary (Brinza) Antoni.
Before his retirement in 1976, he had worked for many years at the former Scovill Manufacturing Co. in New Milford.
He was a communicant of St. Francis Xavier Church and a member of Housatonic Council No. 40 of the Knights of Columbus, both of New Milford.
Besides his wife, Mr. Antoni is survived by a son, Robert Antoni of Bridgewater; a daughter, Bernadette Allingham of Bridgewater; four grandchildren, Sherry Lynn and Stephen Antoni and Thomas Allingham and Susan (Allingham) Tanamli; four sisters; and three great-grandchildren.

Hazel Feller, 100, was a lifelong Kent resident
Hazel Feller, 100, of Kent, died April 14 at the Kent. She was the widow of Harold Feller.
Mrs. Feller was born Aug. 31, 1899, in Kent, daughter of the late Ralph and Nellie (Hufcut) Howland.
She was a lifelong Kent resident and a member of St. Andrew's Episcopal Church in Kent. She was a homemaker.
The Hufcut Funeral Home of Dover Plains, N.Y., was in charge of arrangements.
Kenneth Jewell Jr., 69, father of New Milfordites
Kenneth E. "Ted" Jewell Jr., 69, of Corinth, Vt., died April 19 at his home. He was the husband of Marilyn (Hayward) Jewell.
Mr. Jewell was born July 22, 1930, in Bradford, Vt., the son of Kenneth E. and Mary A. (Rowland) Jewell.
He worked for Gilbert & Bennett Manufacturing in Georgetown as a wire weaver for more than 33 years, retiring in 1987. After his retirement, the Jewells moved from New Milford to Corinth.
He was a member of the Corinth Bible Church, where he taught Bible study, and was a former member of the New Milford Church of Christ.
Besides his wife, Mr. Jewell is survived by a son, Keith Jewell of New Milford; two daughters, Valerie Mazzarella of Corinth and Judy Simoneau of New Milford; three brothers, Jack Jewell of Dover, N.H., Jeffrey Jewell of Richmond, Vt., and Anthony Jewell of Port Charlotte, Fla.; three sisters, Patricia Armell of Chiefland, Fla., Joanne Richardson of Bradenton, Fla., and Nancy Fornwalt of Bradford, Vt.; eight grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; and many nieces and nephews.

Susan J. Provost, 52, was 1965 NMHS graduate
Susan Jeanne Provost, 52, of 170 South Road, Germantown, N.Y., died April 23 at Columbia Memorial Hospital in Hudson, N.Y.
Ms. Provost was born Sept. 3, 1947, in New Bedford, Mass., daughter of Eileen (Donovan) Provost of New Milford and the late Alfred Provost.
She was a 1965 graduate of New Milford High School and later graduated from Western Connecticut State Teachers College. She was a resident of Los Angeles from 1979 until moving to Hudson in 1991.
Mrs. Provost worked at Kerr Steamship Co. for many years before working as an office executive at Carnation Inc.
Besides her mother, she is survived by four brothers, Alfred A. Provost III of Germantown, Robert T. Provost of Saugerties, N.Y., Paul Provost of Southbury and Michael R. Provost of Ormond Beach, Fla.; and six sisters, Dianne Tribo of Wilmington, Del., Theresa Meyer of Florence, S.C., Rosemary Quint of Warren, Elaine Sam of Danbury, Kathleen Bradley of Lakeville and Elizabeth Coleman of Aragon, Ga.

Jane Trahey, 76, was Kent advertising executive
Jane Trahey, 76, died April 22 at her home in Kent.
Ms. Trahey is best known for Blackglama's "What Becomes a Legend Most?" campaign.
She was recognized for her copyediting skills and credited with catchy slogans for Dynel, Union Carbide's synthetic hair (It's not fake anything. It's real Dynel") and for Danskin Inc. ("Danskins Are Not Just for Dancing.")
Her clients included Elizabeth Arden, Bill Blass, Olivetti typewriters, Hamilton watches, Pauline Trigere fashions, Ebony magazine and Echo scarves. She also created public services for the NOW Legal Defense and Education Fund, for which she served as vice president and board member.
Ms. Trahey was named Advertising Woman of the Year in 1969 by the American Advertising Federation.
In 1960, she founded Trahey Advertising Inc. in New York. The name was changed in 1966 to Trahey/Wolf after she formed a partnership with photographer and art director Henry Wolf.
When Mr. Wolf left in the early 1970s to open his own production company, Ms. Trahey formed a partnership with Pesters Rogers, who had been working as her account executive and de facto office manager.
Janet Dorwin, 84, longtime New Milford resident
Janet (Cougle) Dorwin, 84, of 44 Dorwin Hill Road, New Milford, died April 22 at New Milford Nursing Home. She was the widow of Melville H. Dorwin.
Mrs. Dorwin was born Dec. 9, 1915, in Danbury, a daughter of the late Albert and Isabelle (Melville) Cougle.
She was a longtime New Milford resident. She devoted her life to her family and was a member of the Bible Baptist Church, New Milford.
Mrs. Dorwin is survived by a daughter, Jane (Dorwin) Pokrywka of St. Petersburg, Fla.; a grandson, Louis Melville Pokrywka of New Milford; a granddaughter, Robin Jane Starnes of Ozona, Fla.; two great-granddaughters, Madison T. Starnes of Ozona and Sara J. Pokrywka of New Milford; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held today (Friday) at 11 a.m. at the Bible Baptist Church, 126 Kent Road (Route 7), New Milford. Burial will be in Center Cemetery, New Milford.

Robert D. Lynch, 67, was a New Milford native
Robert Daniel Lynch, 67, of 15 Dogwood Drive, New Milford, died April 21 at New Milford Hospital. He was the husband of Anna (Strelez) Lynch.
Mr. Lynch was born in New Milford May 14, 1932, a son of the late Martin and Marion (Garvey) Lynch.
He graduated from New Milford High School and was a communicant of St. Francis Xavier Church in New Milford.
He was a United States Army veteran and served during the Korean War. Gardening and sports were among his favorite pastimes.
Mr. Lynch was the owner and operator of Lynch Insulation Co. for many years before retiring.
Besides his wife, he is survived by four daughters, Karen A. Fumal of New Milford, Kathleen L. Chapman of Watertown, Nancy L. Dominello of Southington and Maureen L. Shively of Louisville, Colo.; three brothers, M. James Lynch of New Milford, Richard H. Lynch of Bridgewater and Eugene Lynch of Kent; five grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Ethel Wathley, 99, was life member of Kent Grange
Ethel M. (Shaw) Wathley, 99, formerly of Kent, died Feb. 23 at Gifford Medical Center in Randolph, Vt.
Mrs. Wathley was born May 16, 1900, in Sharon, daughter of Bernard and Jennie (Liner) Shaw.
She attended Kent schools and worked at Lee Hat Factory in Danbury for many years.
Mrs. Wathley moved to Vermont in 1970. She was a member of the Kent Congregational Church for 85 years and was a life member of Kent Grange.
She is survived by two sons, Edward Wathley of Kent and Norman Wathley of Randolph Center, Vt.; two daughters, Alice Lake and Dorothy Wathley of Randolph Center; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. A son, Francis Wathley, is deceased.
