Wallace J. Chicklinski, 82, born in New Milford
Wallace J. Chicklinski, 82, of 73 Hospital Avenue in Danbury, husband of Mary Murphy Chicklinski, died Sept. 15 at his home.
He was born Feb. 16, 1916 in New Milford, a son of the late John and Eva Rozwara Chicklinski. He was a graduate of Henry Abbot Technical School.
A U.S. Navy World War II veteran, he served on the USS Oklahoma City under Admiral William "Bull" Halsey in the South Pacific.
He was employed as a tool and dye maker for the former Sieburg Industries, retiring after many years of service.
Mr. Chicklinski was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Catholic Veterans, Germantown Volunteer Fire Company, St. Joseph Church and Holy Name Society and a member of the USS Oklahoma City Assoc.
Besides his wife, survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Kathryn and George Gleason of Danbury; his son and daughter-in-law, John and Carla Chicklinski of Merritt Island, Fla.; two sisters Katherine Grell of Bridgewater and Mary Sharra of Danbury; four grandchildren, Kelly Gleason, John, P.J., and Katie Chicklinski; and several nieces and nephews.
Arrangements were handled by Green Funeral Home in Danbury.
David Sears Jr., 35, son of New Milford resident
David William Sears Jr., 35, son of Judith Sears Rupar of 5 Pine Lane in New Milford, and the late David William Sears Sr., died Sept. 12 at Winter Haven Hospital in Florida. He attended Danbury and Waterbury schools.
Mr. Sears served in the U.S. Army for three years. He was a self-employed painter and tractor-trailer driver. He loved being a chef and enjoyed fishing.
Besides his mother, he is survived by his wife, Pamela Sears of Naugatuck; a daughter, Christine; a sister, Leigh Ciprano of Waterbury; his grandmother, Geraldine Guay of Inverness, Fla.; and other relatives in Connecticut, Florida and Maine.
Cremation was in Winter Haven, Fla. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Robert J. Moore Sr., 80, New Milford firefighter
Robert John Moore Sr., 80, of Kent, died Sept. 17 at Vassar Hospital in Poughkeepsie, N.Y. He was the husband of the late Josephine Parylak.
Mr. Moore was born May 3, 1918 in Central Falls, R.I., a son of the late William T. and Mary Ellen Asquith Moore. He was a resident of New Milford since childhood.
Mr. Moore was employed by the New Milford Foundry for several years before opening Bob Moore Plumbing and Heating.
He was a member of the Water Witch Hose Co. #2, the Andrew B. Mygatt Post V.F.W. and the Ezra Woods Post American Legion, all of New Milford.
He was also a member of the Military Order of the Cootie Harlem Valley Post No. 5444, N.Y., and a former member of St. Peter's Masonic Lodge of New Milford.
Mr. Moore is survived by a son, Robert J. Moore Jr. of New Milford; a daughter, Mary Ellen Moore of Lenoir, N.C.; a sister, Grace Durkin of Norwalk; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Ernest W. Williams, 77, father of resident
Ernest W. Williams, 77, of West Redding, died Sept. 17 at Danbury Hospital. as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident in Bethel. He was the husband of the late Marie Anna Alaby Williams.
Mr. Williams was born Dec. 21, 1920 in Redding, a son of the late Albert H. and Hanna Amy Wixsom Williams. A life-long Redding resident, he attended local schools and was a U.S. Naval veteran of World War II, serving with the Navy Seabees 63rd Naval Construction Battalion.
He was employed as a welder for the Gilbert and Bennett Wire Mills of Georgetown, retiring after 45 years of service. He was also employed as the caretaker for the Godstow Estate of Redding.
An outdoorsman who enjoyed camping and hiking, Mr. Williams was an active volunteer in the care and maintenance of the Putnam Memorial State Park, and was a member of the Redding Grange #15.
Mr. Williams is survived by four sons, Ernest K. Williams of Torrington, Albert G. Williams of New Milford, John D. Williams of Dale City, Va., and Gerald A. Williams of Florida; two daughters, Alice M. Bennett of Danbury, Betty J. Williams of Franklin, Mass.; 14 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews in Massachusetts and close friend G. Kenneth Goodall of West Redding.

Scott Evans Seibert, 22, attended Rumsey Hall
Scott Evans Seibert, 22, of Londonderry, Vt., formerly of Ridgefield, died Sept. 17 in Londonderry. He was the son of Walter "Ted" and Barbara Wells Seibert of 17 Wooster Heights Drive in Ridgefield.
Born Sept. 13, 1976 in Huntington, Long Island, Scott attended Rumsey Hall School in Washington Depot, where he was named permanent class president in 1992. He went on to graduate from St. Luke's School in New Canaan in 1995. Scott attended Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs for two years. At the time of his death, he was working in Manchester, Vt.
Besides his parents, survivors include one brother, Christopher of Ridgefield; his maternal grandmother, Roberta F. Wells of Palm City, Fla.; his paternal grandmother, Gertrude P. Seibert of New Canaan; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
A private graveside service will be conducted at Bald Hill Cemetery in Wilton at the convenience of the family.
Funeral services will be conducted Oct. 3 at 1 p.m. at St. Stephen's Church in Ridgefield with the Rev. John R. Gilchrist, Rector, officiating.
The family will receive friends directly after the service at St. Stephen's Church's North Hall.

Robert E. Richardson, 63, air traffic manager
Robert E. Richardson, 63, died suddenly Sept. 19 in his New Milford home. He was the husband of Carol Mulvin Richardson.
Mr. Richardson was born Nov. 17, 1934, in Dunmore, Penn., son of the late Margaret Clement Carwardine and Elmer Richardson. He was a New Milford resident for the past 26 years.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. Before his retirement in 1994, he was employed for 38 years by the U.S. Department of Transportation as an air traffic controller. His last position was air traffic manager at Danbury Airport.
Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons, Robert J. (Skip) and William J. Richardson, both of New Milford; a daughter, Debi L. Foshay of Danbury; three grandchildren, Kaitlin and Stephanie Foshay of Danbury and Lilly Richardson of New Milford; two brothers, Kenneth Richardson of Greenville, S.C. and Gary Carwardine of Hughestown, Penn.; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
The Colonial Funeral Home in New Milford was in charge of the arrangements.

Marie Petrakis, mother of New Milford resident
Marie Hallas Petrakis of Dunedin, Fla., wife of the late Milton Hallas, her first husband, and the late Gus Petrakis, died Sept. 17.
She was born in New York City, the daughter of the late Andrew and Sophia Kaffes. She lived most of her life in Bridgeport and Trumbull before moving to Florida.
She was an active member of the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church in Bridgeport and Clearwater, Fla. She was an active member of the Senior Citizens Group of Bridgeport.
Mrs. Petrakis is survived by her children, Sophie Magoulas of Monroe; George Hallas of Trumbull; Elsie Vlamis of Trumbull; Andrea (Billie) Lycoudes of Stratford; and Andrew Hallas of New Milford.
She is also survived by two sisters, Christine Pappas of Florida and Effie Poniros of Trumbull. She was a dedicated grandmother and great-grandmother who leaves behind 18 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Helen Banores.

Lawrence G. Underwood, formerly of New Preston
Lawrence G. Underwood, formerly of New Preston and Woodbury, died Sept. 17 in Tarpon Springs, Fla. He was the husband of Maureen Underwood.
Mr. Underwood was born in 1909, in Grafton, Vt., son of the late Hiram and Elizabeth Underwood.
He was a self-employed licensed electrician. He was a Connecticut resident for over 50 years, living in New Preston for 30 years and previously in Woodbury.
Besides his wife, he leaves six daughters, Jessica Santos, Jennifer Underwood, Donna Olson, Theresa Sanborn, Eileen Pinette, and Roxanne Woike; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
A funeral service was held in Tarpon Springs, Fla.
A memorial Mass will be held Oct. 3 at 5 p.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Washington Depot, with a remembrance gathering in the rectory following the Mass.
Arrangements are by National Cremation Society in Holiday, Fla.

Joseph A. LeRose Jr., 69, Sherman resident
Joseph A. LeRose Jr., 69, of 6 Mauweehoo Hill in Sherman, husband of Anna Sagaria LeRose, died Sept. 18 at Danbury Hospital after a brief illness.
Mr. LeRose was born Jan. 8, 1929 in Danbury, a son of the late Joseph A. and Agatha Scieuzo LeRose Sr.
He was a graduate of St. Joseph School and the Henry Abbott Technical School. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1950 to 1954.
Mr. LeRose worked as a carpenter for The Brotherhood of Carpenters, Local 210, for more than 20 years. He also worked in the Building Maintenance Department of Dupont Corporation, where he retired in 1993.
He was also an avid gardener.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his sons, Joseph A. LeRose III of Sherman, Daniel M. LeRose of Belmont, Mass., and Anthony J. LeRose of New Milford; a brother, Danny LeRose of Danbury; a sister, Angela Lee of New Fairfield; a grandson, Joseph A. LeRose I;, and several nieces and nephews.

Elizabeth Bourquin, 101, of Washington Depot
Mrs. Elizabeth O'Sullivan Bourquin, 101, of 117 Bee Brook Road in Washington Depot, died Sept. 19 at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital in Torrington. She was the widow of Louis E. Bourquin.
Mrs. Bourquin was born Oct. 8, 1896, in Warren, daughter of the late David and Elizabeth Keating O'Sullivan. She lived in Torrington before moving to Washington Depot in 1933. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church and the Catholic Women's Guild.
She leaves a son, Roger Bourquin of Farmington; a daughter, Elizabeth L. Bourquin of Washington Depot; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Driscoll Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.

E. Raymond Adams to be remembered
A memorial service for E. Raymond Adams, who died Aug. 10 in Florida, will be held tomorrow (Saturday) at 2 p.m.
The service will be held at the First Congregational Church at 36 Main Street in New Milford.
