Frank J. Voytek, 70, father of New Milfordite
Frank J. Voytek, 70, of Shelter Rock Road, Danbury, died Feb. 19 at Danbury Hospital. He was the husband of Patricia Louise (Moissonnier) Voytek.
Mr. Voytek was born Jan. 21, 1932, in Bridgeport, a son of the late Anna M. Cebula and Stephan Vojtek (Voytek).
He attended Bridgeport schools and worked for the Bridgeport Hydraulic Company for 42 years. He served in the Army during the Korean War.
He played semi-professional football for the Bridgeport Giants and bowled in several duckpin leagues in the Bridgeport and Danbury areas. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and a lifetime member of the Brookfield Sportsmen’s Club.
Besides his wife, Mr. Voytek is survived by two sons, Thomas and his wife Michele of New Milford and Timothy and his wife Lorraine of Riverdale, N.Y.; three grandchildren, Alyssa and Justin of New Milford and Chloe of Riverdale; two brothers, Peter and his wife Carole of Ansonia and Stephen and his wife Marie of Orange; a sister, Agnes of Southbury; and 10 nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by a brother, Andrew of Bridgeport, and a sister, Martha Lewis of Southbury.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the American Diabetes Association, 300 Riverside Parkway, Meriden, CT 06450.

Susan Pagel Buonanno, 87, lived in New Milford
Susan M. Pagel Buonanno, 87, of Simeon Road, Bethel, died Feb. 25 at the New Milford Nursing Home.
Mrs. Buonanno was born Aug. 15, 1914, in New York, N.Y., daughter of the late Frank and Domenica (Zaccagnino) Santarsiero.
She was educated in New York schools. She resided in New Rochelle, N.Y., and North Tarrytown, N.Y., for most of her life. She had lived in Bethel for the past two years.
She was employed by the New Rochelle School of Nursing during the 1970s.
Mrs. Buonanno is survived by two sons, Robert Pagel of Brookfield and John Pagel of Denver, N.C.; six grandsons, Greg, Kevin, Thomas, Keith, Brandon and Matthew Pagel; and two great grandsons.
She was predeceased by her husbands, August E. Pagel, who died in 1964, and William Buonanno, who died in 1994, and two sisters, Margaret Masi and Mildred DiNapoli.
The Brookfield Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to the charity of one’s choice.

Effie Pinchbeck, 94, mother of Roxbury man
Effie W. Pinchbeck, 94, of Old South Salem Road, Ridgefield, died Feb. 23 at her home. She was the widow of Joseph G. Pinchbeck.
Mrs. Pinchbeck was born May 18, 1907, in Chappaqua, N.Y., a daughter of the late Stephen and Hattie (Horton) Washburn.
She was a resident of Ridgefield since 1915, coming from Chappaqua. She attended local schools and graduated from Danbury High School, Class of 1925.
She was associated with her family in the operation of Pinchbeck Brothers Florist and Nursery of Ridgefield from 1927 until 1996. She was a member of the First Congregational Church of Ridgefield.
Mrs. Pinchbeck is survived by a daughter, Sylvia Sturges of Ridgefield; three sons, Joseph of Litchfield, John of Ridgefield and Jay of Roxbury; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandson.
The Kane Funeral Home of Ridgefield handled arrangements.
Contributions in her memory may be made to a charity of one’s choice.

Linda Collins, 59, longtime New Milford resident
Linda Lincoln Collins, 59, of New Milford died Feb. 20 at New Milford Hospital. She was the wife of Robert M. Collins.
Mrs. Collins was born in Torrington, the daughter of James E. and Madelyn R. (Walberg) Lincoln of Norwalk.
She attended St. Mary School in Norwalk and the former Washington High School in Washington. She was a resident of New Milford since 1959 and a parishioner of St. Francis Xavier Church.
Besides her husband and her parents, she is survived by a son, Gary of New Milford; two daughters, Catherine Bouquillon of New Preston and Kimberly of New Milford; and a grandson, Brandon Bouquillon of New Preston.
The Colonial Funeral Home of New Milford was in charge of arrangements.

Edward Dalzell, 65, father of Gaylordsville man
Edward R. Dalzell, 65, died Feb. 18. He was the husband of Ethel (Patti) Dalzell.
Mr. Dalzell was born Sept. 26, 1936, in Ardsley, N.Y., the son of the late Robert and Marjorie (Wetherfield) Dalzell.
He was a union electrician, served in the U.S. Navy, and was a past member of the Beaver Brook Volunteer Fire Department.
He raised his family in Danbury before moving to Orlando, Fla., in 1982.
Mr. Dalzell is survived by three sons, James and his wife Laurie of Gaylordsville, Edward of Danbury and Michael of Orlando; two daughters, Anne Beers and her husband James of Danbury and Cathy Webb of Tarpan Springs, Fla.; a step-daughter, Rose Barbour of Winter Springs, Fla.; two step-sons, Joel Patti of Lauderhill, Fla., and Anthony Patti, who is serving at a U.S. Air Force base in Germany; 19 grandchildren; and a brother, Richard of Copake, N.Y.
He was predeceased by a son-in-law, Dave Barbour, and a daughter-in-law, Dianna Dalzell.

Charles Peyron, 74, longtime New Milford resident
Charles E. Peyron, 74, of 85 Grove St., New Milford, died Feb. 21 at his home. He was the husband of Elizabeth (Hulton) Peyron.
Mr. Peyron was born Sept. 3, 1927, in Salisbury, a son of the late George F. Peyron and Angela (Roux) Peyron Lynch.
He was a graduate of New Milford High School, Class of 1946, and a veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Navy.
He was employed for 30 years as a traffic analyst for Kimberly-Clark Corp., retiring in 1986.
He was a 51-year member of Water Witch Hose Co. No. 2 of New Milford and was chairman of the New Milford Fire Association from 1997 until the time of his death.
He was also a member of the National Veterans of Foreign Wars and a communicant of St. Francis Xavier Church in New Milford.
Besides his wife, Mr. Peyron is survived by two daughters, Michelle Scott of Danbury and Denise Ultsch of Brookfield; two brothers, William of Naples, Fla., and David Lynch of New Milford; a sister, Barbara Lane of Littleton, Colo.; and two granddaughters, Michelle Kolinchak of Wallingford and Nicole Kolinchak of Brookfield.
The Lillis Funeral Home of New Milford was in charge of arrangements.

Loretta Brickley, 66, was active in town government
Loretta (Carroll) Brickley, 66, of 2 Sunset Lane, New Milford, died March 5 at New Milford Hospital with her husband, Charles, and her daughter and best friend, Barbara, at her bedside.
Mrs. Brickley was born Aug. 31, 1935, in Brooklyn, N.Y., daughter of the late James and Emily Reiner Carroll.
During her 46 years as a New Milford resident, she was active in town government, retiring in 2000 as zoning enforcement officer.
She was an active member of the Democratic Town Committee, serving as chairman, vice chairman and recently secretary.
Mrs. Brickley was a member of the Registrars of Voters Association of Connecticut, and the Democratic registrar for the town of New Milford for the past 25 years.
She was instrumental in organizing the AFCME union in town hall and served as its president. She also served as a justice of the peace and was a volunteer with the American Cancer Society.
Mrs. Brickley was a communicant of St. Francis Xavier Church in New Milford.
Besides her husband and daughter, she is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, James and Susan of Tennessee; two sisters, Aileen Carroll of Queens, N.Y., and Dorothy Anderson of East Islip, N.Y.; and a grandson, who was the light of her life, Sean Patrick Brickley of New Milford. She was predeceased by a brother, John Carroll.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held tomorrow (Saturday) at 11 a.m. at St. Francis Xavier Church, Route 109, New Milford. Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery.
Friends may call tonight (Friday) from 7 to 9 p.m. at Lillis Funeral Home, 58 Bridge St., New Milford.

Christopher Harvey, 40, was a New Milford resident
Christopher J. Harvey, 40, of Old Farms Lane, New Milford, died Feb. 28 at the Mount Washington Hotel and Ski Resort in Littleton, N.H. He was the husband of Kimberly (Correia) Harvey.
He was born in Nassawadox, Va., a son of John and Marie Harvey of Whitesboro, N.Y.
He was a graduate of North Kingstown High School and the University of Rhode Island, Kingston.
Mr. Harvey was employed as an executive for the Boy Scouts of America, the Connecticut Yankee Council, for more than 18 years.
He was an Eagle Scout and received the Bronze Pelican Award. He also received the 30-year Veterans Pin from the Boy Scouts of America.
Besides his wife and parents, Mr. Harvey is survived by a daughter, Brianna Harvey; a brother, Richard Scott Harvey of East Providence; his paternal grandmother, Helen Harvey of Manticoke, Pa.; and nieces and nephews.

Cornelius McDougall, 72, was father of Kent man
Cornelius J. McDougall, 72, of Holden Road, Wakefield, R.I., formerly of Danbury, died March 1 at South County Hospital. He was the husband of Katherine (Leeney) McDougall.
Mr. McDougall was born in Bridgeport, the son of the late Frederick and Helen (Costello) McDougall.
He had resided in Danbury for 41 years before moving to Matunuck, R.I., in July, 2000.
He retired in 1986 from Consolidated Controls Corporation in Bethel, now Eaton Corporation, after 31 years of employment.
He was an active member of Alcoholics Anonymous for over 34 years, and he traveled to the Soviet Union for three months in 1991 as part of a project to further the spread of AA in Soviet youth work camps, prisons and hospitals.
Mr. McDougall was actively involved for over 20 years with the Danbury Industrial Softball League as a player, manager and umpire, and he was a member of the Danbury Industrial Golf League.
He was an Army veteran of the Korean War era, and he was a member of the Catholic War Veterans.
Besides his wife, he is survived by a son, Kevin of Kent; a daughter, Karen Swodoba and her husband John of West Kingston, R.I.; five brothers, Gerald of Trumbull, Edwin of Seymour, Patrick of Milford and James and John of Stratford; two sisters, Marie Riley of Albuquerque, N.M., and Helen Dingee of Bumpass, Va.; six grandchildren, Daniel, Michael and Melissa of Kent and Jack, Kate and Patrick Swododa of West Kingston.
The Avery-Storti Funeral Home of Wakefield was in charge of arrangements.

John Rynn, 75, was father of New Milford man
John A. Rynn, 75, died March 2. He was the husband of Margie Rynn.
Mr. Rynn was born June 20, 1926, in the Bronx, N.Y., to Joe and Jennie of Arigna County, Roscommon, Ireland.
He grew up in St. Jerome’s Parish in the South Bronx. He was drafted on his 18th birthday and served in the infantry in World War II. He served in Rhineland and Central Europe and was the recipient of the European African Middle Eastern Campaign Medal and the Army of Occupation Medal.
He served as a guard at the Nuremberg Trials. He returned home and graduated from Iona College, New Rochelle, N.Y, with a bachelor’s degree in finance. He later attended the Advertisement Management Program of Harvard University.
Mr. Rynn and his family moved to Brookfield in 1958. He was an active member of St. Joseph’s Church, Brookfield.
He retired as an executive of the Berol Corporation in 1992. He stayed active in retirement, becoming a certified financial planner and volunteered at the Brookfield Senior Center.
Besides his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Patti and her husband Mark Sylvester of Columbia, Md.; three sons, Joseph and his wife Anj of New Milford, John (JAR) and Kevin; two sisters, Anna and Sister Rosemaron Rynn; and five grandchildren, Jack and Peter Rynn, and Michael, Kate and Timothy Sylvester.
The Brookfield Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
